Came here with my husband for the restaurant week menu. My husband ordered the fluke ceviche, shrimp mofongo and guava sorbet. I ordered the calamari, steak and tres leches. The quality of the food was amazing. We were surprised with how crowded it got on a night where temperatures were below freezing but it was well worth it. The restaurant week menu is 100% worth it. We would definitely return!

I came here for dinner with family, and it was such a treat. The ambiance is very cozy and the temperature felt good even though the restaurant has an open kitchen. The service was good. Anything we asked for, the waiter brought what we needed. Overall, a great experience. Everything we had to drink and eat was delicious. The red sangria was smooth, and the jalapeno sangria was interesting in a good way. The steak was perfectly cooked, and the Chimichurri sauce was so fresh. The grilled octopus salad was tasty. The coconut tres leche cake was one of the best cakes I have ever eaten. My crew also likes the elote and the bread pudding. I will absolutely be back.

Amazing Latin American food with a fabulous price. You can't go wrong with the pri fixe menu. It's only $55 and let you pick your main and an appetizer and a dessert. The drinks are awesome. It's a great neighborhood spot and it's a great spot just near the subway of the R train. The only weird thing is that the numbers don't really match the block for the address but just look for it. It's in the middle of the street or the block and the service is also lovely. They let us linger as two girlfriends for quite some time.

An underrated delicious spot with dishes from Mexico, Peru and more. We loved all our dishes. They were full of spice and perfectly seasoned . We plan to return for brunch and again for dinner to try everything on the menu!

Restaurant week menu2025Feb experience: Great place for intimate dinner! Open kitchen so be prepared to smell like beef hahaha, love the service and friendly people working. A bit underwhelming for the appetizers, we each ordered the grilled calamari salad and caldo gallego white bean soup, loved the kale in the soup and good flavor, lots of beans. Calamari is grilled extra and some are extra charred i didn't mind, but could be a greener salad there. Small bathroom with sink outside but it was cute the door was very long and handle was low. The entree was skirt steak super yummy grill flavor and i love a chimmichurri, and a lil bit of tomatoes and the patatas bravas was crispy. My mofongo was ok, on the clumpy and dry side with hot sauce flavored shrimps(sofrito picante), i can appreciate the head-on shrimp for extra flavor but i thought it was a bit too cooked thru. Sorbet was deliciously fresh ripe yellow small guava flavor, and the tres leche texture was ok but the coconut chips and the cream on top was yummy.

Palo Santo is a quaint establishment located in a Brooklyn brownstone that serves Pan Latin Cuisine. It is walking distance from the R train at Union Street, & from other eateries that include Rana Fifteen, Dinosaur BBQ, etc. Congratulations to Palo Santo on their 18th Anniversary! Friendly service & good vibes have always been present at Palo Santo. We visited one day during a "Restaurant Week " event & never looked back - lol. Wooden tables & chairs , casual decor & indoor / outdoor dining area all things that make up Palo Santo. You can view hardworking staff preparing & bringing wonderful looking dishes to patrons for dinner & during their brunch service. Palo Santo promotes their long-standing special 3 Course Dinner - ($49 )- includes an appetizer, entree & dessert. The first time hete we had a 3 Course-Dinner - we both had the Mushroom Quesadilla Appetizer, the Skirt Steak w/ Bok Choy & Potatoes Entree & shared a Tres Leches & Papaya Sorbet for dessert. Boy, was everything delicious! Every dish & the service was so good that we have returned numerous times and have had other marvelous cuisin. A 3-Course Meal for $49 is a great price & they give nice-sized appetizer & entree portions. Palo Santo is consistently fantastic. Website - www.palosantorestaurant.com Instagram - @palosantobk Brunch Service - Sat. & Sun. - 10am - 3pm. Dinner Service - Mon. - Thurs. - 6pm - 10pm, Fri. - 6pm - 11pm. Love. Love. Love! The food here is remarkable. I was really impressed with their entrees and desserts, which we got from their three course prix fixe menu for $49 per person. I was able to try two of each set as I shared. APPETIZER - Yellowfin Tuna Ceviche (4/5) & Grilled Calamari (3/5) The ceviche was a nice sour. The calamari, on the other hand, was bitter in some random bites (not sure what was making it bitter). ENTREE - Pato En Mole Poblano (5/5) & Grass Fed Skirt Steak (4/5) The pato (duck) was soo tender and well cooked. The poblano tasted amazing with the duck. Just no words. Meanwhile, the skirt steak was good but doesn't top the duck in terms of tenderness and flavor. It comes with yuca fries and queso sauce. Dessert - Coconut Tres Leches (5/5) & Chocolate Pecan Bread Pudding (5/5) Both the bread pudding and tres leches were equally and highly impressive. If they made a bakery or dessert shop, I would seriously visit every day. I also like the small request for feedback when you pay at the end. You can compliment the food, workers or make a small note of what could be better.

Went here randomly for a cousin meetup. Pleasantly surprised. The food was delicious and great presentation. Get the ceviche folks you will not regret.

Hosted our engagement party at the venue renting out the entire space and the whole process from start to finish was incredible. Jacques was so accommodating during the planning phase allowing our event planner to bring our vision to life and the day of staff went above and beyond to make our guests happy. We received endless compliments on the food and would absolutely recommend hosting your event here if you're thinking about it. 10/10

My manager and I often dine after spending a day together, and he prefers to stay in a hotel in Park Slope due to ease of getting anywhere in NY and for the huge abundance of good places to dine. I chose this place because it seemed different from some of the other local places. I believe I picked a winner. I arrived 1st, and there was no one in the restaurant at first. The chefs called someone, and the evening began with the hostess, waiter, and customer service person Katie, who was the tip of our great dining experience. She was friendly, knowledgeable, and perfect hostess. I felt her friendliness, and she took it to a higher level. I wanted to play a joke on my managers arrival, and she went along with it. He arrived, and we had a good laugh. After we sat down, I asked, and she gave me her suggestions on appetizers and main meals. I went with both and was not disappointed. I usually don't eat everything, but last night was different. I ate everything. I saw they had 4 choices of Uruguaian wine, amongst and nice selection of wines from different Spanish regions. She described the characteristics of each wine. We decided to go with the Tannat Akardia. We enjoyed the wine very much and even thought it matched with the pulpo (octopus) we had as an appetizer. We also ordered the shaved Brussels sprouts as an appetizer. We we very pleased at both. For dinner, we got the swordfish and the Pato (duck), both of which Katie recommended, and we enjoyed. Normally, we never have dessert, but with Katie's personality, we could not resist and had the bread pudding. We had a very nice dining experience here, and my manager even made a note on returning to dine again! The glue to pur experience was truly Katie for her professionalism and her wonderful personality!!!

I hosted my sister's bridal shower at Palo Santo and cannot recommend it enough! We had the back room and garden to ourselves and it was perfect for that kind of event. The food was fantastic and the service was amazing. Pros: - Amazing food - Amazing staff - Unlimited drinks - Bathroom right by the back room so it was basically a private bathroom - Beautiful backdrop in the big doors and the garden - Free to decorate how we wanted and they let us in early to set up - Very communicative throughout the whole process. Things to note for your own event: - The garden is smaller than it looks. Still a special surprise for the venue but maybe six people can sit out there comfortably. We put gifts out there and let people mingle in and out for photos. - The stairs up to the garden are so steep, so just be careful and it's not usable for older guests. - Food comes out family style and quick, so less table decorations are better so there's room for the good stuff- the food! - the max capacity is 36 people, but we had 30 and it felt maxed out. I think 25-30 people is a more comfortable number for that space. I'd highly recommend this venue just for a meal or especially for an event! Thank you Palo Santo!!

    Steak & Eggs
    Amanda D.

Came here this weekend while we went to see a family member run in the New York Marathon. Every other place we walked past was packed so we thought we were lucky to find a place that didn't have a wait. We didn't want to drink for brunch, though they did have a bottomless option. There was only the option of a pre-fix brunch. We thought it was over priced at $30. Most of the options weren't worth it, like the pupusas, veggie quesadilla or the tacos. You got a non-alcoholic drink with the meal but for $30 for brunch it was just a lot. I went with the Steak & eggs option. I asked for my eggs to be poached, the yolk was cooked through and not great. The steak was gritty and stringy. The chimichurri sauce was too vinegar heavy. The potato's were sad. Honestly it was all sad, nothing had any type of seasoning on it. Not even salt or pepper. From when it was sat in front of me I thought it looked good but it went down hill from there. The Hibiscus Aqua Fresca was the drink option I went with my meal and it was amazing! Super fresh and perfectly sweetened. Great but not worth coming back for.

It was sort of an odd time so the spacious restaurant wasn't very busy. We studied the menu for too long and after much deliberation, here's what we ordered, in order of spice level: - Oxtail ($35): Not spicy, super flavorful, "Trimmed and sliced chunks of oxtail seasoned freely with fresh spices and simmered to tender perfection." - Curry goat ($29): Mildly spicy, "Goat meat marinated and cooked in curry spices and herbs makes this an exotic dish." - Jerk chicken ($20): Apparently incredibly spicy so I steered clear of it, "A Jamaican delight. Spicy, delicious chicken baked with this unique combination of spices from the island." The dishes I could handle were excellent, with no drop of sauce left unmopped. On the sides front, the rice and beans, roti, steamed vegetables, and plantains were all tasty. The entree sizes were hearty. Our server seemed like a cool dude: easygoing with a sense of humor. It was kind of chilly in the restaurant, not sure if we were in a warmth dead zone or what. The bathroom was frog-themed which was a cute touch!

For mains, we tried the biang biang Rasta noodles with salmon (6/10) and the sofrino roasted chicken (5/10). Both were a bit underwhelming. I've heard their drinks are great but we didn't try any. I'm Dominican so I know oxtail pretty well and have made it myself. Thankfully, this place absolutely delivered. The oxtail was perfectly slow-braised, tender, and falling right off the bone -- exactly how it should be. Absolutely amazing. Of course I had the rice and peas, plus some veggies. A few of the veggies were slightly overcooked, but still flavorful and enjoyable. The drinks looked incredible, but I went with the rum punch and loved it. It was a little sweet, but super flavorful, strong, and definitely worth ordering again. For dessert, I had the Hennessy cheesecake, which was rich, decadent, and unbelievably delicious. There were three of us dining, and we all left completely satisfied -- with take-home containers because the portions are VERY generous. It looked delicious as well. For drinks, I had the Bob Marley cocktail. A colorful drink - flavorful - and effective! There were people celebrating their birthdays throughout the night - and the wait staff goes IN! I was enjoying watching at least 10 people receive the Stevie Wonder "Happy Birthday" song while we were there. Imagine my surprise when it was my turn! My birthday was the day before, and we had already celebrated in Manhattan. Having two special recognition events made the evening that much more special! Shout out to the Simpson crew who came with the song, the rhythm, the sparkling cake, and the good vibes! My 70th birthday was exceptional - without a doubt. The Simpson added the touch I needed.
