Really yummy food. Great service! And such a lovely Caribbean vibe. I highly recommend the dinner for two option. There's a great amount of food and everything is presented so beautifully. The oxtail was everyone's favorite. Cooked to perfection. Melt in your mouth. The curry goat was finished first so that'll give you an idea of how delicious it is. The fritters were a great app and pumpkin soup was delicious too.
Amazing food and service. You will feel welcoming vibe once you step in. We ordered oxtails, goat curry, Mac and cheese. Everything was delicious. Portions were big and we had to take back home. Must try.
Stellas is a spot I have wanted to try. I pass by it often and it always looks grounded. Went there for a celebratory dinner and left unsatisfied. Meh...was hoping to like it. However. The experience was not the best. Music was too loud, service was off and worst of all for a group of 12 our food was cold. 5 of our dishes was cold. Eventhough they came out of the kitchen different times. The drinks were decent as well. The appetizers were cool, but the main dishes lacked the spices and flavors of the carribbean in my opinion.
The food was pretty tasty. We ordered the akee and salt fish tostones, jerk wings and salmon and crab croquettes for appetizers. The jerk wings skin couldn't been more crispy but the taste was there. The oxtail bowl, jerk salmon and salt fish sandwich was on point. We also ordered the sorrel and that was very refreshing on a hot summer day. The customer service was attentive and we got our food pretty quickly. The place has a simple decor. Would go back and try their brunch on Sundays.
Absolutely delicious! We tried the vegetable roti and the chickpea curry. Both dishes were good, but the roti was my favorite - full of deliciously spices vegetables and smothered in a curry sauce. The chickpeas were also delicious and had a different seasoning profile from the roti. Prices were also super inexpensive at $51 with tax and tip, with plenty of food for two. Totally worth it!
01/24/2025 Another amazing meal consumed. The passionfruit Margarita was yummy and strong. The corn soup spoke to my soul especially on a cold winter evening. The ackee tostones were yummy. But the star for me was the curried crab tostones. The flavors that danced on the tongue was sublime. For mains we had the curry shrimp and fish. I had the escovitch delicious as always. However, they now have a healthier version. Garlic butter roast fish. OMG I wished I had ordered. It was well seasoned and delicious. That definitely will be my choice next time. As always amazing staff which made our dining experience that much better.

I went here for a friend's birthday brunch/dinner. It was a group of 10 of us so we had the downstairs space all to ourselves. It was a little....drafty down there but the music wasn't too loud so we were able to gather and chat without yelling at each other. The service was good, no complaints. And the food was actually really good! I had the cod fish fritters and it was soooo good. And the oxtail surprised me because sometimes, restaurants can be hit or miss with it. The oxtail was flavorful, not fatty, had good meat pieces and the rice was cooked well. I would go back to try their bottomless brunch!

Our server was knowledgeable about the menu, answered our questions, and ever so graciously interacted with our group! Two people in our group had been here before, while it was the first time for three of us. I'm a frequent solo diner but was so appreciative that this 1st experience was with a group. We ordered a little bit of everything and I must admit, I almost missed out on one of the best patties I've had! To drink, I had a half and half (sorrel & ginger beer), and it did not disappoint! Not only meh item, E V E R T H I N G that everyone ordered was delicious and believe me because I tasted it! Oh... and we bought out all the patties to/go! I will certainly be back so I can have a go and add the additional star by having a cocktail. The chefs/owner came to our table and greeted us with officially elevated the experience to Chefs kiss! Oh and I got a lil home decor idea!
Came here from a recommendation on one of my weekly podcast, Getting Grown. Was in the area for a show and was the perfect opportunity. Overall service was great and attentive. The menu is not overwhelming at all. The space is cute a lil narrow but does the job. Food we shared appetizers; cod fritters, mussels, and ackee tostones. All great flavor loved the dip the fritters came in. The tostones twist was great, we would suggest like a sauce on top drizzled with some spice for the final punch. Main course: oxtail with rice and peas. Was def a hefty plate of pxtails had leftovers. Great flavor nice and hot. Cocktail tried the Gingalee! Had a lick to it and strong.

It was just so good . The vibes were nice it's just a really good Caribbean spot . I look forward to going again !
I can't express how much I enjoyed my dining experience at Stella's. The staff were wonderful and inviting from the moment we walked in. The drinks were perfectly made nice, strong, and flavorful. The food was fresh and absolutely delicious. The codfish fritters had to be my favorite, perfectly fried without being oily, just pure deliciousness. I ordered the Stella's Tasting, and it was more than enough food for two. My friends enjoyed their meals as well. Since it was my birthday, the staff came out and surprised me with a very delicious carrot cake. Moist, not overly sweet, and the perfect way to end the meal. To top it all off, we were vibing to a really great playlist the entire time we ate. I will definitely be back! read more
We were craving Caribbean food and I've been curious about trying this spot out for a while so when my husband suggested it was an easy Yes! I had their passion fruit lemonade which was refreshing and not overly sweet. For my entree I ordered their oxtails and rice and peas on the side. Their oxtails were cooked perfectly, the meat was falling off the bones. I would like it to be a bit more spicy and some more Lima bean but maybe thats just my own preference. When I asked for some spice the server brought us some pepper sauce which was exactly what I needed! My sister tried their jerk wings and mac and cheese. Their Mac and cheese is WOW. Definitely recommend! I didn't try their wings but I tried the sauce that comes with the wings and it had a lovely kick to it. For dessert we shared the Plantain Paradise and the ice cream paired so great with the plantains. It was vanilla ice cream but didn't taste like regular vanilla ice cream.. it had a nice rich texture . Service was great, the music was nice and although it was a bit cold in there they had a blanket per table which I thought was a cool concept. read more

This is a cute little spot . We were seated quickly as we had a reservation. Our server was sweet and I got the shrimp roti and it was so so good. It was flavored to the sauce to the shrimp . It was just so good . The vibes were nice it's just a really good Caribbean spot . I look forward to going again ! read more
This Carribbean spot is neat, clean, trendy, and the staff are hospitable and welcoming. For brunch, we had an array of options to choose from. We shared the Oxtail hash with eggs and the curry goat entree. The Oxtail hash was flavorful, and the skillet it came in was adorable. The curry goat flavor was ok overcooked, so the near was a bit dry. The curry gravy and rice were tasty. We ordered the tasting plate to-go. We chose the Jerk Chicken, Curry Goat, Oxtail and two sides, Mac and Cheese and rice and peas. The pictures looked good, and the reviews sounded good, but the tasting plate had way too much salt it. "Oh my, the salt was too heavy in these dishes." The only one that was ok was the Jerk Chicken because the jerk seasoning usually is a package deal, so you don't need to add much else but the basic seasoning to marinate the meat. Since I appreciated the Oxtail Hash while at the restaurant and their hospitality, I didn't want to take away from those positives. However, note to the chef or cooking team to please be easy on the salt or the use of combination seasonings that make food almost too salty to eat. Thank God I don't have high blood pressure, but a lot of folks in our community do so it would be wise to consider this fact in meal preparation for clientele. read more
Food is delicious and filling. 2 weeks ago I tried the jerk salmon and it was cooked extremely well. Last night I ordered the jerk chicken with rice and peas. Sweet Plaintain as a side. And pumpkin corn soup. The soup was tasty but on the oilier side and not thick like I would like. The sweet Plaintain was 10/10. I've been wanting some good ones for so long. Other places make it too hard and bland. The jerk chicken was tasty. My main complaint is the price. They are pretty expensive and should come with 2 sides for the price. At least read more

Have i found a replacement for negril bk? Hmm.... I visited on a Thursday afternoon maybe 10 mins after they opened at 4pm. It took atleast 5 mins for someone to greet us. Eventually he emerged from the back and said you can sit anywhere. Once seated the menu looked really good. I took my brother out for his birthday,we chose to order a few small plates to get a feel for the spot . We did the curry crab tostones 10/10 Salmon crab balls 8/10 Ackee tostones 9/10 Sweet Chili tamarind wings 8/10 Geerah fries 8/10 I ordered some mix drink from the happy hour menu it was tasty. The server was friendly. The food was seasoned and presented well. However the service was a little slow considering it was us and 2 other tables. They played caribbean music which was nice. Id come back for the tostones and to try more food off the menu. But I didnt feel a vibe. I dont know if id come here to just chill and unwind. The server did bring out a bread pudding with a candle on it for my brother that was a nice touch. read more

Stella's is back!!!! Boy have we missed you guys! Stopped by with my son, fiancé, and mom on a Sunday, where you can get dinner or bottomless brunch until 5. They were very accommodating providing us with a high chair. And they treat everyone like family. You can tell that they were greatly missed, whenever a customer walked in. The food and drinks did not disappoint per usual. We had festival, mussels and crab/salmon balls for apps, oxtail w/ rice and peas, curry chicken with coconut rice, chicken and waffles, for entrees and rum punches. Definitely stop by and show your support! You'll leave stuffed and satisfied! read more

Stella's is high on my list of best West Indian restaurants in Brooklyn. This is a small location in park slope Brooklyn but the food is one of the best. If you ask me I always compare food and will end my statement with Stella's tastes better. Every time I go the customer service is always on point from timely placing my order to appetizers arriving and then entrées arriving. This restaurant has the best bread pudding that I have ever had and the ice cream with it just tops everything!!!! Head over to Stella's and believe me you will be happy with your meal read more
We were able to walkin Saturday around 8 with no reservation, and the restaurant was pretty packed. Service was good and food came out in a good amount of time. I'd skip the salmon crab balls as they weren't very excited and lacked flavor. We got the tasting plate, which was good and still had leftovers. The curry goat was really good and the jerk chicken had a lot of flavor/spice. The oxtail and rice and peas were good too, but I've had better. The plantains were crispy and delicious. Back home more spots are closing down or mainly take out only, so it was nice to sit down and enjoy our meal. read more

Came here for birthday brunch. If you make the reservation online may not be confirmed so it's better to call. The place serves brunch on Sundays until 5 PM. When we got there at 3:45 pm (seated at 4) theythey told us we could order from the regular menu. Coconut muscles were delicious but a bit on the salty side, the pancakes with the shrimp were amazing, the saltfish fritters had tomato in it, which I am not used to but also tasted good. They were playing lively soca music and the over ambiance was great. read more

I wanted to really love Stella's because it was such a nice vibe, but the food was just okkkk for me. The oxtails have a different taste, I believe it's the seasoning they use. It wasn't bad but not good either. Jerk chicken was very hot, my nose ran the entire time wow! Dinner for two meal was alot of food, we had to take it to go. This was like a poo-poo platter style since it gave samples of the popular dishes. I enjoyed sitting in the backyard style dinning area with the sounds of Bob Marley jamming. What can I say I absolutely love Jamaican food. I had the jerk chicken soup, and jerk chicken with coconut rice and maduros. This place is an amazing little spot in Park Slope and the service was amazing! We were waited on by the chef/owners wife and she was amazing. The ambiance was dope too. From the music to the smells it was all terrific. read more

Good but expensive! I dont think I can afford this place anymore. Pick up bag almost $70 for curry shrimp roti, curry chicken n ting. Outrageous!! Cant order Food anywhere! Granted my daughter tipped $7 when she ordered online but still it's not cheap to order out anymore. read more
Where do I start??!! I love this place! The food, the service, and the vibe are always on point! The owner and his wife are always so welcoming. I love Jamaican food, and when I go there, I always feel like I'm in Jamaica because of the music and food. The food is delicious. I could eat there every day, and they never disappoint. It's so flavorful. My favorite is the cod fish fritters. They're so delicious; you can taste the spices, which come with tamarind dipping sauce. I always get coconut rice with curry shrimp. I promise you will not be disappointed. My fiancé had jerk chicken and jerk shrimp. The drinks are strong but GOOD! The coco comfort is my favorite. I love the balance; I can taste the coconut and the liquor. If you're looking for a Jamaican restaurant, Stella's is the place, and they're located in Park Slope, Brooklyn. They also do brunch and now have a lounge. Their oxtails are delicious; the meat falls off the bone lawdddddd. If you're in the area and love Jamaican food, you must go to Stella's. read more
