Ok ok, my first time having Monfongo and it won't be my last time. The food from this place is good. The only downside was the salad it wasn't good .maybe because I didn't have dressing but it wasn't good. The monfingo was good I should have asked for some garlic but it was good.

Pepper steak, yellow rice, beans, and two little plantains somewhere on here.

I'm genuinely pissed off I just paid 14 dollars for a tray of mostly rice, literally 2 plantains, and some beans. I swear a small platter didn't cost me that last week unless pepper steak is more than beef stew. I did say beef stew which they didn't have right now. Im mad that I said beef stew ahead and she didn't say anything until after my tray was full. I decided to take her suggestion for peppersteak... I still high key want my 14 dollars back though because 14? The pepper steak is very tough and not at all like beef stew in anyway, simple not for me personally.. I am very upset. Anyway, the portions sizes are pretty good aside. The location is conveniently close to the train station and work lunch. I'd give 5/10 on taste overall. Maybe they are just not for me. Edit. After attempting to eat the food, I only got more upset. This was my 3rd time here and my absolute last. Now both me and my tummy are annoyed.

Delicious pernil and rice and beans . They even give you the skin. Definitely well flavored and an affordable spot in the area. Heard the chicken was really good and def something will try next time. Quick and easy pick me up lunch spot.

We didn't have a reservation, but we went the day after a snow storm so it was pretty quiet. At first we were the only customers, but they slowly filled up during our meal. I would describe the inside as 'rustic cute'. It feels very cozy with the exposed brick, wooden tables, and soft lighting. For food we each did the Prix Fixe which lets you choose an appetizer, entree, and dessert. For appetizers we got the Chileatole and the Anticuchos. For entrees I got the Grass-Fed Skirt Steak and my boyfriend got the Pato en Mole Poblano. For dessert we both got the Bread Pudding. I thought the Prix Fixe was a good deal for the quantity and quality of food. Everything was prepared fresh and tasted delicious. Favorite bites were the Chileatole soup and the Skirt Steak. Our server was super friendly and approachable. Overall it was a really good experience and I would definitely return the next time I'm visiting the area.

I'm usually not a fan of aguachile, I've had it at several places now but Landmark's version is the best one I've tried. If we weren't going to order so many dishes, I definitely would've gotten another order. Classic ceviche was a lil too acidic for me but L loved it. Fish tacos were good too. We're not a fan of truffle oil but L wanted to try it. Fried nicely. Love yucca.. we could taste the watermelon in the tuna ceviche. L was afraid it would be too sweet but it wasn't, he enjoyed it. The corn was really rich. We both had a sample of the corn and lomo saltado. Lomo was a bit salty for me, it's cut into little pieces. Different from the more authentic versions we're used to but it was interesting.. we took both leftovers home so we could mix it with plain rice to balance the saltiness. Service was excellent. Recommended to others and they loved it as well. The drinks were really good but strong. The frozen passion fruit margarita was my favorite, we ordered another. 1-2 drinks might be enough to get drunk but I had 5 which isn't my max usually but at Landmark.. I really should've stopped at 3 but I usually try most the menu if I can. Our server was so nice...Great atmosphere. I usually don't go to restaurants twice especially after I recommend them but if I do I definitely want to sit in the patio.

I hadn't had a Cuban sandwich in years, and these absolutely did not disappoint. The sandwiches had the perfect balance of bread, meat, cheese, and sauce. They were rich and flavorful without being greasy or dry. They also came with plantain chips and a garlic sauce on the side, which was a nice touch. I also really enjoyed the guava pastry. While I was ordering, I noticed they served drinks, and the guy at the counter asked if I wanted to try the frozen mojito. I was hesitant at first, but after one taste I was like, okay -- this is actually a VERY good frozen mojito. Sold! The whole place has such a welcoming energy. It's casual and quaint, with outdoor seating during the summer, good music playing, and just an easygoing neighborhood vibe. Everyone working there was friendly and made the experience that much better. I finished my meal with a cortado, and I have to give them credit for that too. So many coffee shops serve cortados now without really knowing how to make one the traditional way, but this one was lovely and exactly what I wanted.
