Pains me to do this because their food actually isn't bad. Their customer service however needs work. They're literally less than 5 minutes from me, I would order delivery from them directly if they took card but they don't so I have to use Ubereats. I wanted their broiled chicken, it seems to be pretty popular amongst their regulars. Their menu though is suuuuuper confusing and unorganized. I went straight to their "Chicken" section and immediately saw "Pollo Al Horno," for $10 which is their broiled/baked chicken. It was right under their option for "Rotisserie Chicken" for $12 which is a completely different item and didn't include rice and beans in the description. So I assumed it was just a whole rotisserie chicken by itself. Mind you, NEITHER of these items were in their "Daily Specials" section which refers to "lonches." Basically smaller "lunch" sized portions that come in the same container. Because of this, I called them before placing the order just to make sure I didn't get the wrong thing. I spoke to the woman in Spanish to avoid any further confusion. I asked her if the Pollo Al Horno that came with rice was separated or in one container, she specifically told me that it came separated unless I stated otherwise. I said perfect and hung up. Placed my order a few seconds later along with a few other items. An hour later when my order arrived, I opened up the bag and low and behold, they sent me one measly 1/4 chicken on top of rice and a BUNCH of beans in the same damn container which is exactly what I DID NOT WANT. I called them immediately and played telephone with like 5 different people. First they said I couldn't have called them because not one of the ladies in there wanted to admit to speaking with me. Then they said that I ordered the "wrong" item and was supposed to have picked the $12 option if I wanted the rice separate. But as I said, the $12 Rotisserie Chicken was a COMPLETELY DIFFERENT dish. Then after I read the menu to the guy proving that what I ordered was from the regular section of the menu and not their lunch specials, he hung up on me. They could've easily rectified the situation by having their delivery driver redeliver what I actually ordered because it was their employee who gave me false information. It wouldn't have taken them more than 10 minutes to repack and deliver it. This is what I get for trying to be spontaneous, I should've just ordered from my tried and true fave La Cabana Rodriguez, I've learned my lesson. read more

Review for delivery only: I was in the mood for Mofongo and took a chance on this restaurant. One word:OMG! The Mofongo choices are Pernil( chicharones) Shrimp, Chicken or Plain. Mofongo is a dish of mashed green plantains with ones choice of meat incorporated into it. It comes with a red gravy. Quezada also includes a small salad, lettuce and tomato, with oil and vinegar dressing. I also ordered the platanos maduros as a side: a generous portion of fried banana goodness. Quezada is a Dominican Restaurant that also serves empanadas, San cocho, arroz con pollos, numerous seafood entrees and many Dominican Specialties. They also have many delicious juices: highly recommend the Passion Fruit. In addition, they offer breakfast entrees as well. The delivery is prompt. However, when ordering Mofongo, have patience. When I get adventurous... I add the fried pork. On an off day I get the stewed beef. In a nutshell, this mom and pop outfit dishes out meals that keeps you coming back. It was 95% rice with two pieces of chicken - a leg and a piece that was almost all bone. The maduros (Plantains) weren't sweet enough or soft enough. They were somewhat dry. I ordered delivery from here last night. I ordered the oxtail stew and the chicken chicharrones without the bones, both of these accompanied with rice and beans. I also ordered chicken empanadas, beef empanadas, and a small order of tostones. They came at a decent time and the wait wasn't too long. The tostones were soggy and didn't even come with any type of dipping sauce or even salt on them. The oxtail stew was all fat and oil. I ended up throwing it out. The chicken chicharrones were basically chicken strips (I wish we knew this before ordering considering I have some in my freezer). The chicken empanadas were so dry. The only thing I throughly enjoyed were the beef empanadas. It was very flavorful. Overall I was very disappointed in my choice for dinner and would only stop in for the beef empanadas. read more

ordered delivery from here the other day and enjoyed the experience. The chicken was flavorful and the different sauces were a perfect addition to the meal. I am not sure what the name of the dish was. The avocado salad was refreshing and added that bit of freshness needed when eating a lot of heavily spiced items. The one negative was the mofungo was a little salty. The flavors were good but the saltiness overwhelmed the dish. Overall pleased with the experience but could only give it 3 stars. I was dreaming of mofongo with some delicious sauce. I looked through a list of places and, honestly, took a chance. I hate to order something so specific that, if not quite tasty, I can't fix with what's in my seasoning pantry. That being said, I ordered mofongo con pernil, sauce on the side. Feeling adventurous, threw in some chicharrones de pollo and 3 beef empanadas. Food came earlier than expected (win) and hot (win-win!). I made a plate: some mofongo smashed down in the middle so the sauce could become a "pool" (bear with me) and some chicharrones. My personal addition was some homemade chili oil. DELICIOSO!! Que sabrosa! Moist and flavorful, not overly salted, banging garlic coming through. My family was very happy. Now the bad news: I also ordered tres leches cake: no good. My (free) advice for the business: if your food is that buss, get somebody abuelita to make some good tres leches cake and some other deserts. It's a nice way to finish an excellent meal. read more

In a nutshell a hole-in-the-wall gem! Ended up going there twice - once for lunch and once for breakfast. Highly recommend. Generous portions, great flavors, and super friendly owners and staff. First visit was for lunch. We had rabo guisado (oxtail stew / $12) with yucca, yellow rice, and beans, and chuleta de cerdo mofongo (porkchop mofongo / $7). The oxtail stew was delicious. The meat was very tender and the stew sauce yummy. The portion was at least 6-8 pieces of oxtail and with the sides it was very filling. What a bargain the mofongo was too. For $7 you got a big serving which was also delicious. Two toddlers had sopa de pollo (chicken soup) which was full of flavor. Not a lot of chicken or veggies in the soup but not a big deal. The two owners (wife and husband) and staff were so wonderful and even changed the TV channel to kid cartoons without any request from us. Breakfast was standard pancakes, eggs, home fries which were fine, but the highlight was mangu (boiled mashed plantains) which was great. I am so happy that they are back! They closed for a while during the pandemic. I ordered delivery for mofongo de pernil, fried chicken chunks, moro and tostones. They are polite on the phone, but there was a bit of a language barrier on the phone, and I was put on hold a bit frequently. Nonetheless, the food arrived in just about 30 minutes and the delivery guy was wearing his mask properly and was polite. The fried chicken chunks were for me and they were good and flavorful, but I would order them extra crispy next time. The moro, also for me, was just okay. The mofongo de pernil though? Let me tell you- I did not care too much for mofongo before. But this mofongo? So delicious! I couldn't help but steal some (okay, a lot) from my dining partner. I will definitely be ordering this regularly. I'm hooked. Whatever gravy they served it with was unbelievably flavorful. The texture of the plantains in the mofongo was just right. The tostones arrived crispy because they take the extra effort to pierce holes in the container so it does not become soggy.
