Needed a bite to eat after a cross country flight. Did not disappoint. Pork sandwich: 8/10 slow roasted melt-in-your-mouth pork and the garlic sauce :chefs-kiss: Beef empanada: 9/19 the filling was super flavorful and while I'm not usually a fan of doughy empanadas (vs masa) this was on point Yucca fries: 6/10. I like my yucca a tad crispier and the queso was a bit clumpy but may have been a bit better in person as opposed to being in the container for 20 minutes.

I came here to get coffee and a pastry with some friends while I was visiting town. The service was solid, if a little slow. That said, we did have a big order. It has room for dining in, and has a cafe feel. This was my first time trying Cuban coffee. It was good! A little sweet for me, but it tasted less sweet after the Guava pastry (lol). The pastry was rich and filled with Guava. It's almost like a jam (and about as sweet). I would definitely come back to try the other dishes!! I appreciate that they have veggie options -- I haven't seen that at other Cuban places I've been to.

Bad Cuban sandwich with pork that have super bad stale taste

I really hate to give this bad review. I ordered their specialty- Cuban sandwich and pork was tasted super bad with stale taste! I was sharing sandwich with my husband and he couldn't eat it too. It was bad tasting. Sweet Plantains was bad too (separate order) they being over cooked and not delicious and for $7 you can do it better. We literally put all the food in the garbage.

Phenomenal experience! The food was absolutely authentic, and I stumbled upon this spot while walking through the neighborhood. The indoor-outdoor vibe immediately caught my attention. I started with a Mojito, which was the perfect treat, refreshing, full-sized, and tasting exactly like a classic Mojito. I ordered the Cod fish Croquettes, a side order of sweet plantain, and it did not disappoint. Tender, flavorful ,and, it was exceptional. My favorite part about this place is the cozy outdoors if you wish to sit outside. The staff were incredibly friendly, and the whole place radiates a tropical, welcoming atmosphere. Highly recommend stopping by!

This is a really cute, small intimate spot that has a nice size outside sitting area. They do have a few seats inside as well and some at the window seats. I had the chicken plate and a beef empanada. Everything was very good. The place was clean and the customer service was good. Yes, I would come here again. I absolutely also love the prices! Definitely a place that you can come to if you're eating on a budget and you don't want to jeopardize great taste.

Got the Cuban, and it was absolutely incredible. The meat was tender and flavourful, the mustard and pickles were just the right amount, and the bread was toasted to perfection. Got it to go, but the brief service I got was friendly. Cute decor too!

When in Brooklyn, eat! Sunday afternoon in a beautiful day. This place is a cute spot nestled between two streets that are closed on Sunday's. Seating is available outside, which is great for a spring day. We tried the frozen mojito which was delicious!!! Then the steak sandwich and steak platter! It was very tasty and flavored to perfection. It was a great choice on a beautiful day! I will certainly be back!

    Jackfruit Vegetarian Sandwich, Yucca Fries

Cute place with a great Cuban vibe, tucked away in a side street. Looks like everything is super fresh, and they have vegetarian options. I tried the jackfruit pressed sandwich with yucca fries. This was great, the jackfruit bbq sauce was a little sweet for me, but still good. I realized I should have asked them to add pickles to my sandwich, for that proper Cuban sandwich tang. Cafecito was perfect.

I got recommended this place by someone who has Cuban background, I figured, can't go wrong with it! I called in to pick up my order, the guy who answered my phone was very friendly and very welcoming when I arrived at the restaurant. I thought the price was on the higher side but the sandwich was so big that could serve 2 people and delicious! I'll definitely be back!!

Best Cuban sandwich I've had! Yuca fries really good as well, restaurant vibe also reminds me of the time I went to tapa's bars in Spain.

The flavors are a little off for me, but still a good version. The ropa vieja also lacked a little something, but they use tri-tip instead of the usual flank steak, which felt more tender. The owner Benny was also kind enough to give us some free desserts to take home, which were pretty good. With that said, what intrigued me the most was the interesting story about how Benny fell into this restaurant situation after swearing he would never be in this industry again. He is a strong believer in supporting the community, and has a nonprofit called Hungry Monk Rescue Truck that deals with food insecurity in NYC. We need more people like him in this world. Let's show our support for a business we can be proud to dine at.

Happy to see the restaurant offering specials so I ordered Cuban sandwiches, Bacalao(fried cod fish), Cuban ham croquettes, Yuca fries(came with red onions) and regular French fries. The Cubans' roast pork was well-seasoned and accompanied with plantain chips, all items brought a delicious sauce, and fresh garlic, nice touch. The Cubans were 4/5, the Bacalao were 5/5, as were the Yuca and regular fries. I personally prefer different bread, with more pickles and ham, but definitely recommend this place and will plan a visit to dine-in, to try their fresh juices and other menu items. I ordered delivery so could not report on service, beyond everything was well-packaged with care.

The amount of times I have walked by here and never came in is actually pretty funny. It is a small mexican food restaurant but they had a table for us two in the back near the bathrooms. They had two tables crammed next to each other in the back. Our first table we were seated at was like literally on top of the people sitting in the booth next to us. We then asked to move to the other table they said it was fine but we kinda got a look from the waitress like are you guys serious like it was a hassle to move us or something. Not to mention that these tables are not made for two people to comfortable sit and enjoy a meal at together. They are very small! When our waitress came to take our order I went first and told her all my allergies and than she just walked away after and didn't come back and didn't take my friends order or let me finish my order. It was the most oddest thing. So another waitress came to take our order and I told her that I gave some of my order to the other person and told her all my allergies and this waitress currently said how the other one did not tell her about all my allergies but did warn me that because the kitchen is soo small there may be cross contamination. My friend and I ordered drinks both margarita's on the rocks. They came out not that cold and pretty tasteless. For food I got their world famous corn with cheese. My friend got the corn to but with the spicy powder on top of it. We decided the corn was the best thing. We also both ordered the salad but I got it with chicken and my friend got it with shrimp. We both did not really enjoy our salads but she ate hers I just had a few bites and then packed up the rest to go even though I ended up just throwing it away later in day. I will not be coming back even if I am with a friend who wants to. Many other mexican restaurants in this city where the staff is friendly and food and drinks are much better than what we had experienced here.

A visually-appealing woody interior with posters lines the wall. Vaguely Cuban accents with a very pleasant crowd. Everyone knows each other here, the staff and patrons, and it's very much a neighborhood feel when I went on a Friday evening. Drinks were strong yet delicious. Me and my significant other got the churrasco (flank steak) and the nachos. The nachos had a ton of substance. Lots of ground meat, a dollop of guac, and sour cream. Cheaper yet still very satisfying. I asked what the server usually gets. She said the flank steak is her favorite so I ordered one of those medium rare. It came out perfectly cooked with a chimichurri sauce and served with rice and beans. Super packed with flavor and yummy. We were warmly greeted by one of the servers before being seated at a table near the window. The standout dishes we enjoyed were the Ropa Vieja, Salmon, and the Calamares Ricardo. The Red Sangria was also solid. While the guacamole in the guac and chips was good, I think they used store bought Tostitos for the chips:( Our group wasn't that fond of the Tres Leche either, as it was a bit grainy and covered in chocolate sauce. While service started off strong in the beginning, it declined throughout our meal. Came to learn that an automatic tip was added, which may explain why.
