Our party of 8 sat on their patio and really enjoyed the view of the river and all that was going on in the area. They were having a concert that night across the river and we were told and given a flyer saying we had to be done with an hour and a half which was fine with us. That might be off putting to someone who wanted to have appetizers and drinks before dinner. We all ordered something different and everyone loved what we got. The macaroni and cheese was to die for. You could tell they used fresh pasta and ingredients. The make server was abrupt and unfriendly and didn't refill drinks- that is why they lost one star. Prices and portions were reasonable. We would come back but hope for different server. read more

Pastini - Italian Near Me - Bend, Oregon

It's unfortunate that this Pastini didn't live up to my expectations given that it's not only in one of the most beautiful locations ever, but I'm loving my time in Oregon so much, that it takes a lot... for me to give only two stars. That means that it was a combination of more than one infraction. Table of four. We walk in and ask the hostess for a table outside. She says it will be 15 minutes therefore I go to use the bathroom. When I returned, there seemed to be an error with her seating. She had told us that a table opened and we were about to be sat, yet as we walked towards the table, a couple walked up and began demanding the table, saying they called in and reserved their table and should be sat first. So the hostess sat them at the table we were on our way to. Ok. I'm not sure what happens there or whose fault that was, but it was frustrating. What was more frustrating was that after they were sat, she left and didn't come back. We waited, and waited as more and more outside tables opened. We noticed her finally standing outside talking to someone and laughing as we waited. And waited... she kept looking in at us yet didn't come to sit us. Finally a completely different hostess, who'd been standing up front for 10 minutes before asking us if we had been helped or not, was shocked to hear we were still waiting to be sat. "Oh! Well let me sit you then!" Literally as we walked with the new hostess to the new table (sat in direct sunlight instead of the original, more shaded table) the first hostess yells from the patio area to her, "Oh Yea, Can you seat them!?" Insert heavy sigh here. As we were sat, another table to the right and more in the shade opened up, so we asked to move to it which they did with no problem. We ordered the Baked Italian Meatballs, a Chicken Alfredo, Linguini Misto Mare, Fettuccine chicken Marsala, and the Fusilli Alla Roma. While I actually enjoyed the Fusilli Alla Roma, it was verging on bland and not enough salt...my cousins didn't like their meals at all. The fettuccine sauce was super bland and needed something. Over all it just lacked the pizzaz we were hoping a restaurant in a location such as this would hold. Maybe I'd try a different meal... but the customer service in the hostess stand was the worse I've seen in a long time. So a revisit would need contemplation. Everything all together ...and I'd say it just wasn't worth the pretty penny we paid. read more

The best thing Pastini has going for it is absolutely the view -- the place overall is about 3.5 stars but I'll round up specifically for the view. Sit out on the patio right next to the river and enjoy the scenery with the mountains in the distance and -- if it's the right time of year -- folks going up and down the river. But you probably aren't here for the view, so let's get to the food. This didn't feel much like an authentic Italian restaurant experience, it definitely felt like a chain although it doesn't appear that it is. (One description called it a "local Italian bistro" but that definitely paints a different picture than what you get here. Not that it's inherently a bad thing, just set your expectations.) The food is pretty good--I had the meatballs as an appetizer and spaghetti carbonara for my meal with a side of garlic bread. The meatballs were brought out suspiciously fast -- as if they were just sitting in a pot somewhere being kept warm in the kitchen and scooped out upon my order. They tasted about the same too--not bad though, plenty of cheese which I won't complain about. The spaghetti was all right too--I probably would opt for something different next time though, it wasn't very flavorful but maybe it wasn't intended to be. I'd like to give this place another shot with a different menu option next time -- again, the location is great and if you're already in the Old Mill area this is a great place to stop in if you're looking for something fairly casual but still want to take your time to enjoy the meal. read more

Every dish was exquisite! Vegetables mixed perfectly with the wonderful al dente pasta. Each dish had a unique and distinct flavor. The fusilli had a distinct flavor with sun dried tomatoes, perfectly roasted garlic and mushrooms. The Parmesan cheese added the needed saltiness. The lasagna was the perfect blend of meat, cheese and pasta. Chicken Alfredo had the perfect combination of cream sauce with a lovely cracked pepper taste. The cavatappi was subtle with the Italian sausage. Just perfect! And the butternut squash ravioli with a sage butter and the toasted hazelnuts were divine! We topped it off with tiramisu. An absolutely fabulous meal. We didn't need to add any drinks. read more

So for our anniversary we decided to get one of our favorite spots, the dinner was off, so I wrote a review and immediate was reached out to by the owner who agreed it was off and went out of her way to ensure we had a meal like we have had dozens of times prior. We got our meal again today and it was deliciously fantastic- just like at the restaurant, was a perfect start to mother day weekend. Tasted wonderful enough food (and then some!) love this place. read more

Good service. Restaurant was clean and tidy, we were promptly seated. Everyone was happy with their order, will visit again.

The kid mac & cheese was simple and cheesy. The boys liked it. It arrived very quickly to the table. The boys also liked their pizza bread. My chicken Cobb salad was ok. Service was great and fast at 3pm on a Thursday. read more

Wonderful! I have never had such fast service. I honestly couldn't believe it! There was no wait, we ordered quickly and our food came in about 10 minutes. I got the chicken fettuccine Alfredo and the chicken was so so tender. Great experience here! read more

When you are understaffed, you don't continue to seat you're restaurant until it's packed despite the lack of wait staff and cooks. Well, unless you're this restaurant. Food was underwhelming when it finally showed up ( easily 35+ minute wait). Not only did the clueless manager bring us a wrong dish, she didn't even comp the right dish that was 45 minutes from order. Come on...food is ok, maybe Olive Garden level at best. Lots of other places to eat. Shame they have a nice river view. read more

I was in Oregon for a business trip, and my colleague recommended this place for Italian. We came here for lunch, and she ordered the risotto balls, and I got a pasta dish. Holy moly, those risotto balls were flipping amazing. The pasta was pretty good too - tasted fresh, and it "seemed" healthier with the broccolini and tomatoes and whatnot. All in all, decent Italian food at standard prices read more

Pastini - Italian Near Me - Bend, Oregon

We are occasional visitors of Pastini back in Portland and there are a few signature dishes we truly enjoy. The butternut squash ravioli and the Gorgonzola tortellini along with Chianti and a Caesar Salad. This is more of a 3.5 star but rounding up to 4. Our experience here at the Bend location indoors wasn't bad but the service was a bit underwhelming. We are used to a couple cubes of bread to accompany our dishes. Not one of these had bread nor did our server even mention it. When I asked about it later toward the end of our meal she replied with it's only available upon request. Okay. I asked for red pepper flakes when my order arrived and she proceeded to taking an order from another table. Our Caesar salad was nice as always but we had to ask for fresh ground pepper. Then they had to go get it instead of being prepared. It should be offered upon arrival but this place seems to cut corners on the details where they feel they can. It's not going unnoticed. I hope this was just an off night and we do love Pastini. read more

We had Pastini delivered the other night, and I have to say i was decently surprised. The ROASTED ARTICHOKE-SPINACH SPREAD WITH BRUSCHETTA was absolutely the best artichoke dip we've ever had. Yeah I said it. Next we had the garlic bread as well for appetizer, we weren't as head over heels for that as we were the dip. I ordered the PAPPARDELLE WITH MEAT SAUCE BOLOGNESE and have to say, it was really good, the meat was tender, it wasn't too sauced, and the noodles we're cooked well. I'd recommend. We also went with FETTUCCINI ALFREDO WITH CHICKEN which i heard no complaints about, so I'm going with it was good. And lastly a LINGUINI PESTO POLLO with Shrimp added, well, all we got was the shrimp, but again no complaints. Good job Pastini! We'll be back! read more

The food was great- love the balsamic spinach salad! We had spaghetti and meatballs, they were "just right" spicy for me. Service was good, attentive. But the music.... Really? The sound system was playing 80's rock, which I love, but it was so loud we had to yell across the table at each other to be heard. I asked our server if it could be turned down and she told me the manager likes it this loud and gets upset when someone turns it down. Not a good experience at all. If you go there, sit outside (it was too hot tonight on the west-facing patio.) or, bring ear plugs. read more

Had a great dinner. Such a nice restaurant. The manager and our server kellie were great. Wonderful service. We shared the bruschetta ( marinated tomatos and soft ricotta cheese ); Cesar salad so tasty ( shared the large size) and tagliatelle with pork and beef ragú. The ragú was more of a shredded meat and not heavy. Not a ground beef which was better and tastier than other places. We also had the ice cream with cookie. So creamy and delicious. Highly recommend this place. Also it's right by the River with nice views and a nice walk. Thanks for the yelp ratings. read more

Terribly disappointed in the host! Ordered takeout online, came in a little early to wait. I asked the host for a glass of water for my son while we waited and she refused claiming water was only for people dining in house. Our order was over $100. and we tipped 18%. If there was a way to revoke the tip from the online order I would have. read more

My family and I visited the restaurant tonight and had a great meal and great service. The Manager and Host did a commendable job dealing with a very rude couple that was upset for being addressed as 'you guys' (figure of speech). The couple were yelling, using obscenities and were very rude. The Manager did a great job keeping her cool. We love Pastini and will be back! read more

Good food. Nice atmo. Rude Service. We like the food here and come in often. The atmosphere is cozy and comfortable. However... management needs to do a better job of training the servers on how to respectfully address female customers. Specifically, if you are a waiter, do not EVER address a woman, especially one who is older than you as "honey," "dear," "sweetie" or anything in that vein. Those overly familiar designators are disrespectful, patronizing and likely to induce both rage and punishment when it comes to calculating your tip. read more

Great place! Got our party of 6 in right away, great service, amazing drinks and food. The marinara is a bit on the sweet side for me, but that is just my preference. The pasta was cooked to perfection and love all the garlic. Would eat here again for certain! read more

No photos because we ate it all. Fettuccine Alfredo was "perfect", meatballs were well seasoned, and broccolini with a side of chicken made a healthy low-carb dinner option. Wow. In a competition for the most average Italian food ever, Pastini would be a strong contender. The conflict I have about this restaurant is that the food is just so spectacularly average but the views from the patio are spectacularly amazing. Our large extended family group was quickly seated in a spot with gorgeous views of the mountains, river, and Les Schwab amphitheater. We ordered spaghetti with meatballs for the kids, a seafood pasta meal for my husband, and a caesar salad for myself. The salad was significantly underdressed (and I like my salads dry). The chicken was dry and room temperature. The seafood in my husband's meal was overcooked and the sauce was almost tasteless. The spaghetti with meatballs tasted like a can of tomato sauce was opened and dumped on top. The food didn't taste bad... it was just so "meh." I could have cooked this food at home with one hand tied behind my back. The service was decent. Our server Justin was a great communicator. We are giving lots of grace on the topic of service right now since we know all of our local businesses are going through a massive transition with new mandates and staffing shortages. So... we might be back for the view. But keep your expectations on the food low. Overall summary: cafeteria-quality food with a killer view. read more

If I could give zero stars I would. Placed an order online to pick up for our family of 15 at this location while we were in the old mill. It said it would take an hour exact so we hung out at old mill to wait. In our email notification we were told to come pick up our food at 5:35pm- which was an hour wait. We showed up at 5:30 to pick up our food and was told that they placed our food on the table (image below) and that someone took our food already and that they would discount some items but it would be another 40 minute wait. I asked for the entire order to be refunded as this was obviously not our fault and it was 5:45 by now with no other choices on a Sunday night. The hostess went to ask Jordan Stacona the manager on duty, I explained to Jordan that we placed the order an hour ago and have been waiting and will have to wait another 40+ minutes and he said "sorry we can't refund the order" when I asked why? He said "because we would then take double the hit for the cost of the food and that it wasn't their fault that the food was picked up early" i then asked that he was saying it's our fault? And he said no it wasn't our fault but that you knew it was an hour when placing the order. At this point i felt like I was arguing about something that was obviously not our fault and i backed down from it and said fine whatever you can do. He removed about $50 from our $180+ meal... We are visiting friends and family here and will ensure they don't go here. They are not customer centric here- very disappointing. read more

Pastini - Italian Near Me - Bend, Oregon

We were out of town, visiting Bend, and stopped for a quick shopping trip in the old Mill District. We needed lunch before our next stop, and saw this place. It looked inviting, and the menu had good options, and seemed reasonably priced. We were seated quickly, our waitress friendly, and was quick to take our order, the food was good. When we left, I forgot a small bag I had placed on the floor, and didn't realize it until 3AM the next morning (another story...). We had an early departure, and could not wait for them to open. I called but no answer, so we decided stopped by the restaurant thinking we would leave a note and a little money so they could (might) mail it to us. To our surprise when we knocked on the door the waitress from the day before was there helping prep, saw us, gave us a big smile, and, brought us our bag! Thank you, Julie! read more

Have been regulars since this place very first opened. Customer service is either really good or really bad. Never consistent. Staff never seems to be on the same page or communicate which then leads to some waiting well over the quoted time and others walking right in and getting sat. Managers are not helpers. They are very combative and just want to argue. Sad to say but, won't be a regular any longer. Justin was a terrific Server. Many other businesses in this town that would prefer your money and not act like they are doing you a favor when it's your money being spent. read more

I've never been served worse bread in my entire life and considering this is a "Italian" restaurant you wouldn't expect that. I got the shrimp scampi and it came laden with unmelted butter and rubbery shrimp. The service is good and everyone was friendly but I'm still recovering after being served the abomination that was that "ciabatta bread." read more

When I walked in to Pastini restaurant I was greeted by an employee. I was asked how many were in my party. I gave my cell phone number and I was told that I would receive a text when my party would be able to go to a table. It was for Pastini's lunch seating. I waited a brief while seated next to my darling Husband. I was asked where I would like to be seated. My Husband said a booth would be alright. I was shown a booth. The table was clean and there weren't that many other people dining in the same area. There weren't any loud people at any of the other tables during the afternoon that my Husband and myself were dining at Pastini. I ordered the Baked Ziti with Meatballs. I asked for the Caesar Salad as my side dish. I also ordered an extra meatball from the $ 13.00 lunch menu. My Husband ordered the Baked Cheese Ravioli with Caesar Salad as his side dish. He also ordered an add-on of Garlic Bread. It is two pieces. For two pieces of Garlic Bread there is a charge of $ 2.50. I noticed that there was a larger party that arrived as my Arnold Palmer and my Husband's Diet soda were brought. My Arnold Palmer tasted just right. It isn't alcohol. It looked like one of the people in that party was a little league player (baseball). There was a short wait for my Husband's and my plates. I checked my entree. One of the meatballs was missing. I told the server about this right away... and he said he would be bringing another one soon. I had one spicy bite of Ziti... but otherwise the Baked Ziti was spectacular. Maybe it was too much cayenne in that one bite... I'm not sure. Also,... my server who took my order said that the other server was delayed from their original starting time. I waited for her to finish with another table. I've never worked in a sit down restaurant before... but I've known for a few decades that when one server doesn't show up for work on time... the other servers have to do more work. I asked for a cup of coffee after I was done with my Arnold Palmer. I was told that it would be a few short minutes for it to be brewed. I drank about five or six sips. I asked for Splenda and creamer. The coffee tasted alright to me. There were a few other people who chose to be seated outside. I took my leftovers back to the resort. https://photos.app.goo.gl/ZMPoAEcw8MywsBix9 read more

Ordered from Bendtakeout from Pastinis. I ordered the Fasta Alla Roma and lemon custard cake. The flavor is very bland and tastes like they just poured olive oil all over it. The sauce is all olive oil. Also, entire cloves of garlic. I love garlic as much as the next person, however, entire cloves of garlic is not wonderful to bite into every bite. Came with two small pieces of good moist bread. I'd say the two stars are for the bread and the sundries tomatoes in the pasta that gave it that only flavor. Just tried the cake. It was ok, but very gritty because the custard is broken and lumpy. Good flavor with the berry compote on top but the texture is weird. Dropped down to two stars because of this. Wow. My boyfriend took one look at it and said the custard is broken. We eat at plenty of places in bend, stick to local spots and try not to eat at chains....this is why. Overall, not impressed for $30. I could make better pasta myself. Disappointed. read more
