Deschutes Brewing was a wonderful surprise! It's a busy place but the service was great. Everyone was so friendly and our food and drinks didn't take long. The Brussel sprouts were shocking good and the expensive pretzel was also a hit. I really enjoyed my smash burger. The only thing that I was less impressed with was the chips that come with the burger, kind of flavorless. We were lucky to sit by the fire which added to the ambience, so cozy on a cold night.

What a staple in the Oregon scene. Never actually made it down here for my bend trips, but to be honest there are so may places in bend and I dont partake in much drinking. Anyway we came for the happy hour, because im that kinda person. We grabbed a few drinks, a few light eats and didnt need to wait for a table since we sat at the bar. Sports were the only things on TV which is always a bummer for non sports people, but i get it. Beer good, snacks ok, tvs need something else too!!

I had to come to the original Deschutes! Came in on a Saturday midday for a beer and snack. Easily sat at the bar. Cool vibe to the original brewery! Enjoyed the Fresh Haze IPA. The bartender let me try two but that was my preference. The pretzel was delicious. I'm not a huge beer cheese fan but it was hot and delicious with the mustard around the outside. We were curious about the cask beer which apparently is warm (or room temperature) and flat- not what you look for normally in a beer! The nice bartender let us try it just out of curiosity- not for me! I'd come back to try lunch or dinner.

We stopped in for some refreshments in a hot day. Sat at the bar and chatted with the bar tender. Hubs had an IPA and I chose wine. Decent wine selection given it's a brewery. We opted for some chicken wings and were not disappointed. Great atmosphere.

Love Deschutes beer and have been long time fan of their beers for decades. First time going to the Bend location. Very cool spot and the place is great. Live in AZ for the last 9 years so only a limited Deschutes beers are available. They had the Black Butte special edition on tap (one of my favorites) and also tried the Obsidian nitro Stout. Wife and I shared a Bavarian pretzel and also a burger and fries. Added the smashed avocado to our burger. The cheese that comes with the pretzel is amazing and our burger was also delicious. Highly recommend this to anyone who loves a good beer and good food.

The bar tender was incredibly friendly and made sure to check on us whenever he saw an almost empty glass or plate, etc. The food and beer were all amazing!! Would recommend the black butte porter (of course) and the Reuben! I wish we lived close by because we would be at this spot all the time!

On a Sunday, this was one of the few places that were open past 8pm. Small town in the Pacific Northwest problems, definitely. We shared a 3 piece fish and chips and I got the reserve flight which featured 3x 4oz pours of the fancier beers - cherries jubelale which had a nice cherry flavor, Black Butte XXXVII Imperial Porter which had a very great chocolate flavor, and Abyss 2018 vintage which was a strong wine-like beer. They allowed me to sample, free of charge, the calamansi sour just to see what it is without committing to lots of alcohol, which I appreciated. The fish and chips were very delicious, a nice surprise since brewery food typically is greasy and low quality. The fish here is nicely battered and very crispy, while the fries were of good texture and the tartar sauce complemented both well. The cole slaw was decent and overall the 3 pieces of fish and chips made for a satisfying meal for 2 people. Service was good as food came out at a good pace and they brought out necessary things to make our dining experience more comfortable.

Was passing through the area getting a tent installed on my truck and decided to go grab some burgers and brews while the truck was under the knife. This was a super cool way to experience my first meal ever in Oregon, ordered a couple beers that were fantastic, split an elk burger with my wife *KILLER* and munched on some Salt & Vinegar fries. If I'm ever in the area again, I'll be returning! Service was great, and place had some cool stuff to look at inside, merch as well. Good times.

I finally made it to Bend. Been drinking Deschutes beer for a long time but never made it to its river taproom so pleased I finally did. The team here are great? The beer's excellent as expected and the chicken sando hat a kick and a great way to soak up the beer. Now I'll get back to drinking beer.

Service was nice. This spot is more of a pub feel than a brewery. Beers were solid. They're a well known brewery so it's what you know. Lots of IPAs and hop forward drinks. Cool to have a spot downtown. They have preselected flights. You can create your own for $17 and all the flights are 6 pours of 4oz. You can't order full 4oz pours on their own. Smallest single pour is 10oz.

This was my first time at Dechutes Brewery. We stopped in for dinner. My boyfriend was wanting fish and chips. We were greeted upon entry and seated by the hostess promptly. Our server came over and asked us about drinks. While in a brewery I felt the need to try one of their offerings, though I do not like beer, I tried their cider. The cider is more of a dry and tart cider than others I've had before. I also tried their boneyard elixir which is a CBD drink thst is more like a bubbly water with CBD in it. We got appetizers and the Mirror Pond Artichoke Cheese Dip was incredible. 11/10 - one of the best artichoke dips i have ever had. The pretzel was cooked to perfection and the beer cheese was great. For our mains my boyfriend got the fish and chips - to die for, I wish I would have gotten that as well. I got the Black Butte Porter Sausage Sandwich - while the sausage and the bun where incredible I think I would have liked it better without the arugula and cheese sauce. The food was great, but we were stuffed and couldn't finish all of our dinner. The restaurant is large and had trivia going on upstairs while we were there, the dining room we were sat in was decorated as an indoor beer garden, lots of string lights and plants. Overall great experience and would dine here again.

Nashville Chicken Sandwich (without toppings)

Probably the best brewery in Bend. The building is large and comforting in a way, even has a beautiful upstairs. It can get loud when busy but there is lots of room. The service is always helpful, friendly, and attentive. The food is delicious too, there are so many good options. Got the Nashville chicken sandwich this time, but would also highly recommend their pizzas, pretzel, and burgers!

Elk Burger

I've been to a lot of breweries and had their food, but this by far has to be one of the best with quality, portions and price. I couldn't decide so we got an elk burger and macaroni and cheese and they did not disappoint along with a classic flight of beers.

Four of us had lunch on a ski day-off. Beers, wine and Rockfish entrees and onion soup. All very good but nothing 'special'.

The past week I have visited twice, since their outdoor remodel is completing, and they have new food trucks becoming part of the team. I am so excited for the changes that have been made and the new food trucks joining the absolutely fabulous El Sancho truck. As for the brews, Crux always has a selection of great IPAs, they also have some innovative brews, such as Bochi Bochi, a rice lager, and (though not often) make truly spectacular ambers and browns. Do yourself a favor and drop by for a pint and/or a meal, you will be glad you did.

Serves food and also may have a food truck open. Our last visit we enjoyed the bowl of chili and Caesar salad was all A-OK. The staff was helpful even when busy. Interesting to note, it's like all the beer drinker mt bike folks that used to all come here years ago just happened to grow up and have kids at once, so now it definitely has a very kids playground scene, but I still think it's cool here. (Just go inside to avoid the mayhem. lol!) It's sweet that they create a fun environment outside there. A suggestion maybe would be create a small section outside. that's a no kid table for sunshine and drinking too. ;) it looks like they're making good use of their space. I noticed many changes since the last visit. Looks like they have a party room you could rent, lots of fun well designed swag for purchase, ect. Crux will be always be on my brewery list for Bend, I will perhaps just avoid peak weekend hours. Cheers!

Not a review writer but I felt this was important if you are passing through town and searching for…read morea spot. Absolutely loved the beer and lawn seating vibe. Great view of the river, well spaced out seating. Lots of picnic tables for big groups. Where it turned was the very unfriendly bar staff and honestly the inedible food. I went to order 2 more beers for my hubs and I, and the chilequiles starter and bartender/staff where you order did not try to upsale me to add chicken in which I definitely would have because they were so boring and bland! She then said is that it? In a very annoyed manner. Not is that all for now? Or even somewhat attempting to be friendly. It caught me so off guard! I took a second to glance around behind the bar and the entire energy was like they were annoyed at having to do their job. Ewww She then turned the screen to tap my card (it's getting offensive to ask for a 15-25% tip for pouring 2 beers or making a coffee- I'm a nurse and I don't get tipped every time I answer a call light) so I hit costume tip, added a $1 and I swear she looked up and mean mugged me. My husband went back up later to order burgers (I sure wasn't going!lol) and we shared the wagyu bacon burger and I literally could not take more than 2 bites because it was soooo salty. And this is 2 beers in, my palate was probably dulling). Like someone literally accidentally spilled the entire salt jar on the burger. I tried to pick off the pickle to eat that and even that just tasted so off and salty. I would definitely go back to have beers and vibe but not to eat and I'd probably make my hubs order the beers so I don't chance getting mean mugged by the staff
