I've been doing the Bend Ale Trail slowly over the last few years and remembered visiting Worthy's downtown pub for a couple beers and pizza previously. I was unprepared then for their gigantic and amazing main brewery. The industrial building is mostly hidden my verdant gardens and local art outside. It's so happy and welcoming. Inside you can immediately see the tanks at the back, with a large bar to the left. Merchandise shop is at the front, with tables all around. The bartender was so friendly and welcoming. I talked to some brewers after their shift and they were just as friendly, albeit tired and ready to relax. Their beers are excellent, and I only wished I could've physically enjoyed more! We were driving from California up to Washington and stopped in Bend for the night, and we're so glad we chose Worthy Brewing for lunch and beers. From the moment we arrived, the vibe was awesome--relaxed, welcoming, and exactly what we needed after a long drive. There's a nice parking lot and even a garden outside where they grow some of the veggies they use during the warmer months, which is a really cool touch. Inside, there's tons of seating, a lively atmosphere, and you can see the pizza oven, which adds to the whole experience. I ordered a beer flight and tried all of the IPAs, and every single one was great--fresh, well-balanced, and totally hit the spot. The food did not disappoint either. I had the tacos, which came with chips and salsa, and they were delicious. My wife ordered the gluten-free cheeseburger with sweet potato fries, and she absolutely loved it. The staff was friendly, the service was great, and everything came out quickly without feeling rushed. This is definitely a fantastic place to enjoy some local beer, grab good food, and hang out with friends. If you're passing through Bend--or even if you're a local--Worthy Brewing Company is a must-stop. We'd absolutely come back! read more

What a great evening! Came in on a Saturday. Sat at the bar with a friend and then another friend and their child joined us at a cozy booth in the back behind the pizza oven. Brogan took care of us and was awesome. I asked how large the pizza was as it was just me and he offered the kids pizza- so nice and perfect solution! The pepperoni was tasty! The hazy IPA was delicious. The others split a pear pizza (which sounded terrible and was actually very interesting tasting!) There was a mixup with the child's pizza (twice!) so they brought another one out as quickly as possible and took it off our bill. We walked around the small garden and chicken coop before dinner. And went up to the observatory after our meal. What fun! Even with a cloudy night we had a great chat with the gentleman who worked there. read more

I went here twice in one week. The first time there were two of us for lunch and we sat at the bar and had a wonderful conversation with the young lady working the bar. The Combin-ation Pizza was delicious. The second time I was with a party of 8. The wait staff was excellent with all the confusion around the table because the couples were separated and spread around the table. All 8 meals were delivered together and were exactly as ordered. My Worthy Burger was worthy of praise and was the brownie dessert. Since one of my favorite hobby destinations is nearby, I will become an irregular here. read more

Had some fun here. The food was fantastic, I had the Reuben it was one of my top Reubens ever. The corned beef was stack high it was hot and so tasty. Kraut and dressing was normal very tasty. The rye bread was very fresh. Great selection of beers. We did the Observatory as well and it was fun to look and see Saturn and get fun astronomical info! Service was so fast and very friendly. The Rueben was piled high with corned beef. Perfect amounts of all the rest, perfect sandwich. Be forewarned though, if it is cold outside do not sit in the room with patio access. The server was great. She was down to earth and careful and helpful. The food was exceptionally good. We had a couple burgers, clam chowder (with coconut milk), wings, and beers. The "Brie" salad was light on brie, though, with very few apples, and the chicken I added wasn't very seasoned, but it was good otherwise. We went to the observatory after dinner and the guy moved the telescope around so we could see Jupiter and the Orion Nebula. Very. Stinkin'. Cool. The observatory came with free drink tickets, which it was too late for us to use (we had already paid for our dinner, we were beered out and exhausted from several hikes). Amazing food and atmosphere! Every time we come to Bend from this side of the city, we visit this place and it is always great!

My wife and myself have been coming for years and have raved over the food. Tonight though was our last visit unfortunately. The fact a group of 6 could walk in on a Friday evening in summer during dinner rush and get a table should have been a red flag - should have been an even bigger one when there were empty tables everywhere. Beer is top notch - Strata is our favorite beer in the area Our server was phenomenal - top points to her Food is barely adequate. It used to be great but the standards have slipped and nickel and diming have increased. Sweet potato tots used to be fire - now the bagged frozen sweets potato fries barely cut it (especially when half the table get burnt ones and the other half get cold barely cooked ones). Charging for condiments is insane. Charging for basic fries with a burger is insane. Serving an app after we've eaten half the mains is insane. My other favorite from tonight: family member ordered steak & fries. Kitchen dropped the steak (no problem, we get accidents happen). So rather than send the table late (yes food may have died in the window) or sending the table short of the dish, she got a plate of half burnt fries with no steak with a promise "we'll send the steak when it's done" Im not sure if there was a change in management or drive to cut costs but Worthy used to have love and care in the food with hand cut made from scratch, seasonal, local, and fresh ingredients. 2nd visit earns the 5th star! Even though they were out of a few things the food was good, service excellent and atmosphere fun and lively, with a band playing on the patio and lots of seating. We planned this visit to check out the hopservatory upstairs (Fri and Sat evenings 9-11pm, free) and loved the added extra of taking in the high desert nights sky. We always have a good meal when we go. We love to go in the summer and enjoy the outdoor seating with the dogs. They have live music sometimes which makes a fun atmosphere. Burger and fries are always a good option and I like the salads too. The clam chowder is made with coconut milk so completely dairy free and it is soooo good. I hesitated to try it but once I did, I was hooked. The only bummer is the inside is cold and loud so it doesn't feel cozy in the winter. read more

On our Bend brewery tour, we stopped for lunch here. Short wait for inside seating since it was 95 degrees outside. Live band was playing outside which attracted people there. The beer and cider were good, we were given some samplers to help us decide what we wanted to drink. The blood orange cider was the crowd favorite. My nachos were covered with real white cheese sauce that made them delicious. The chicken was soft and cooked well. I would order these again. My guy loves a good Reuben sandwich, he said this one was just ok, the meat looked pressed and was not piled high like the waitress said it would be. The salads were good. We just came here for drinks and views because they have a GIANT TELESCOPE OBSERVING DECK! Literally a tiny nasa moment. We got to see Jupiter! So epic. I thought it was cool they don't charge you to look, but they do encourage $5 donations! There was even someone inside the observatory who was educated about what we were viewing! We went in Janurary and although it was busy there was no crazy line to look through the telescope. I'd also encourage that this place is great for big groups. We saw lots of children and family's too. It looked like they had the restaurant side, the bar top, and then a whole other bar and they also have a huge outdoor area with giant fire pits, and a huge stage, you could tell they probably do some super cool stuff in the warmer months?!. We ordered a couple ciders beers and something that was along the lines of an "espresso martini" kind of vibe. They have a list of what beers etc they have at the time as well as a full bar and cocktail menu. We didn't eat but I saw lots of people eating the fish and chips. Not a friendly atmosphere for locals or elders. As a longtime Bend resident living near Worthy Brewing, I've enjoyed the restaurant a few times in the past -- the food has been decent, and while the service has usually been average, I've appreciated having it as a local option. Unfortunately, my recent visit on Saturday, September 6th, was disappointing and upsetting, especially because it involved a rare outing with my 82-year-old grandmother, who has severe arthritis and difficulty walking. We parked on the patio side of the building and, to avoid making my grandmother walk all the way around, my husband asked a server if we could come in through the side gate. The server allowed us in but said we still needed to go inside to the host stand to request a table. I seated my grandmother outside while my husband went inside. Despite there being only a handful of occupied tables, he waited nearly 30 minutes without being greeted or helped at the host stand. When he finally flagged someone down and expressed his frustration, the interaction unfortunately turned combative rather than empathetic, and the situation escalated unnecessarily. By the time menus were brought to us, the demeanor of the staff felt unfriendly and unwelcoming. After another 20 minutes without drink or food service, and given the uncomfortable atmosphere, we felt we had no choice but to leave -- something I deeply regret, as it cut short a rare chance to spend time out with my grandmother. I share this feedback not out of anger, but in the hope it can be constructive. Restaurants are often understaffed, and I understand that employees may be under pressure. But hospitality is about making guests feel cared for, and in this case, we felt ignored, dismissed, and unwelcome. A manager's presence, more proactive communication, and a touch of empathy would have made all the difference. I hope Worthy Brewing can take this experience as an opportunity to revisit its service training and management presence. The space is beautiful, and the community wants to support local establishments -- but consistent hospitality is essential to keep neighbors like us coming back. read more

I really like their food and beers. It is nice to have a sit-down brewery option, instead of food-carts being the only food options at other similar Breweries in the area. Their prices seem competitive with comparable-breweries for food and beers. $6 for a pint is pretty good these days! Their service is really good, considering how busy it is. Great brewery on the Eastside! The most unique part is the observatory, which I haven't been too but it sounds like it's a great place for stargazing. The facility is huge with outdoor/indoor seating, fire pits, etc. The food selection is pretty impressive and they have vegan vegetarian options. I tried the Brussel sprouts which were delicious but could honestly use more of the tasty aioli! The Caesar salad was so lemony and the croutons were crunchy and just to die for!!! The fries were also so good! There weren't a ton of cider options or light beer options, so I think there is more for IPA lovers. Overall great ambiance and there is often live music :) read more

Placed our name on waiting list in advance on the way in. Waited for 20 minutes, party of 4 on a Friday evening around 6:30PM. Ordered the sausage pizza, beet salad and chicken tacos. The pizza was delicious, the crust was tasty, just a wished it was more crispy. The beet salad was amazing and love the fresh ingredients (seems most veggies are grown on-site). My friend loved the tacos and other friend really enjoyed the fish and chips with the sweet potato tots. It was nice and crispy. Can't comment on the beer as I don't drink any, but friends really enjoyed their orders... Service was great as well, and our friendly California transplant server was friendly and attentive. New Management, East side. This used to be a nice place until the current new manager stepped in. The staff are overworked and are no longer smiling while running to help each other. The manager stares at them, watching them struggle as she is sitting on her a**, not willing to help her staff. Seems like Worthy is going to regret hiring this lady after their numbers take a turn this summer and their beloved staff start leaving. The head chef already left. The best waitstaff are disappearing and the ones left behind are just there for the paycheck. Owners are almost never present and this lady is who they hire to represent Worthy? I can get good beer elsewhere. I used to want the Worthy experience with friendly capable staff. Now i have to call the new girl back to get the rest of my dinner or even a water refill. Wheres the manager? Sitting at the end of the bar. I was recently there on a Friday night at 5pm, not busy. The staff felt different. The atmosphere tense. The worthy vibe lost. And the manager just sitting there. Staff seemed as if they were trying to get through a shift at a place they love working. My favorite waitperson told me they will be leaving soon and that i should look for them at **. I will go there instead of come here because the service matters to me. When are the Worthy owners going to wake up? Waitstaff leaving because of a new manager will start taking the Worthy customers with them once the customers see Worthy events are not as fun if the employees they love are not there. This place needs to hire the management from their already professional pool of employees actually already promoting their products and loving their customers. Worthy is missing the mark. read more
