Just a reminder!
Kelly L.

What a great evening! Came in on a Saturday. Sat at the bar with a friend and then another friend and their child joined us at a cozy booth in the back behind the pizza oven. Brogan took care of us and was awesome. I asked how large the pizza was as it was just me and he offered the kids pizza- so nice and perfect solution! The pepperoni was tasty! The hazy IPA was delicious. The others split a pear pizza (which sounded terrible and was actually very interesting tasting!) There was a mixup with the child's pizza (twice!) so they brought another one out as quickly as possible and took it off our bill. We walked around the small garden and chicken coop before dinner. And went up to the observatory after our meal. What fun! Even with a cloudy night we had a great chat with the gentleman who worked there.

Great beer. Great food. Add in an observatory? PERFECTION! We had so much fun enjoying everything worthy brewing had to offer, and I love that the overall mission is to build up the community with their different projects and offerings. Feels like the total package and a great reminder that local businesses, even a brewery, can make a difference! I loved the layout, and you can tell the summertimes would be magical out on their patio!

Had some fun here. The food was fantastic, I had the Reuben it was one of my top Reubens ever. The corned beef was stack high it was hot and so tasty. Kraut and dressing was normal very tasty. The rye bread was very fresh. Great selection of beers. We did the Observatory as well and it was fun to look and see Saturn and get fun astronomical info! Service was so fast and very friendly. The outside was fun and the fires outside were fun to sit by.

Don't be fooled. I gave more than half the chips to my husband.

Great place. Expansive venue. Friendly staff. Nice view of the brewing equipment. The "Strata" IPA was an excellent use of said brewing equipment. Fabulous. Full bar for the non-beer folk. Good menu. Reasonably priced. Generous portions. The Impossible burger was delicious. No boring vegetarian attitude here. Dressed up extremely tastily. Perfect. The side salad was easily shared nicely. The Rueben was piled high with corned beef. Perfect amounts of all the rest, perfect sandwich. Be forewarned though, if it is cold outside do not sit in the room with patio access. Plenty of other seating!

Large space and ambiance was pretty nice. Went up to the observation tower. Was hoping for more but you get one look and that's the end of the viewing. The service was poor. We waited a long time for our server and she rarely checked in on us. Tool forever to get a box and our check. The beer was decent. The pizza was mediocre, but other food looked better. Would be fine for a first date spot.

Cool spot with great food and good atmosphere! It wasn't super busy, but they have lots of table space. The food and beers were all really good. Appreciated that our service gave her recs! Recommend the steelhead fish tacos and the Lights Out vanilla stout

Visited here many times over the years. Great service and tasty beers. Vegetarian options are available, and dog friendly patio. One of my favorite breweries around.

2nd visit earns the 5th star! Even though they were out of a few things the food was good, service excellent and atmosphere fun and lively, with a band playing on the patio and lots of seating. We planned this visit to check out the hopservatory upstairs (Fri and Sat evenings 9-11pm, free) and loved the added extra of taking in the high desert nights sky. These guys are firing on all cylinders for sure!

On our Bend brewery tour, we stopped for lunch here. Short wait for inside seating since it was 95 degrees outside. Live band was playing outside which attracted people there. The beer and cider were good, we were given some samplers to help us decide what we wanted to drink. The blood orange cider was the crowd favorite. My nachos were covered with real white cheese sauce that made them delicious. The chicken was soft and cooked well. I would order these again. My guy loves a good Reuben sandwich, he said this one was just ok, the meat looked pressed and was not piled high like the waitress said it would be. The salads were good. Overall, good food and ciders, would come back again.

Expensive, but delicious food. My favorite part was the observatory and live music. Don't tell the locals that you're new to the area.

The past week I have visited twice, since their outdoor remodel is completing, and they have new food trucks becoming part of the team. I am so excited for the changes that have been made and the new food trucks joining the absolutely fabulous El Sancho truck. As for the brews, Crux always has a selection of great IPAs, they also have some innovative brews, such as Bochi Bochi, a rice lager, and (though not often) make truly spectacular ambers and browns. Do yourself a favor and drop by for a pint and/or a meal, you will be glad you did.

Serves food and also may have a food truck open. Our last visit we enjoyed the bowl of chili and Caesar salad was all A-OK. The staff was helpful even when busy. Interesting to note, it's like all the beer drinker mt bike folks that used to all come here years ago just happened to grow up and have kids at once, so now it definitely has a very kids playground scene, but I still think it's cool here. (Just go inside to avoid the mayhem. lol!) It's sweet that they create a fun environment outside there. A suggestion maybe would be create a small section outside. that's a no kid table for sunshine and drinking too. ;) it looks like they're making good use of their space. I noticed many changes since the last visit. Looks like they have a party room you could rent, lots of fun well designed swag for purchase, ect. Crux will be always be on my brewery list for Bend, I will perhaps just avoid peak weekend hours. Cheers!

Yay! It was the best veggie burger my husband has had in a long time... he added avocado and vegan cheese (which did make it a bit pricey). Awesome that you can do many different sides including regular fries, Cajun fries, salad, chips, and more options... do wish they had onion rings however. I got the hummus plate which was good but not the best I've had. It came with a baguette which was more like garlic bread so I would have, personally, liked pita more. It also had a few olives on the side with a red pepper type sauce. I got it with no pickled onions. They had a great beer selection and even a few tasty non-alcoholic beers. Also had kombucha on tap which was delicious (from Humm). Everyone working was super sweet and the vibes were relaxed and casual. Our food came out quick and exactly how we ordered it. They also seemed to have spaces for larger parties, too. They also have a little gift shop if you wanted to pick anything from shirts, to bottle openers, to beer candles and more! Would come back again!

In their first year open, they've already been making a name for themselves with beers winning medals and the brewery itself being chosen as one of the best in the USA. It's located in Bend, near the highway and many other restaurants and shops, perfect to add to a walk. It's the former spot of another brewery and has a similar feel with some changes. They have an event space with its own bar, and a pinball machine collection. They have bar, table, and outdoor seating too. The bartenders were funny and very welcoming. The beer is excellent and worth stopping for a few flights or pints. They also have an incredible deal for full pours on certain days. Prices super reasonable for the quality. So on our last trip to Bend we finally made it here to the their taproom and it didn't disappoint at all. It was a great stop! We got a taster set of a variety of different beers that they had on tap and they were all quite good. Many of them have a wild ale aspect to them which I can appreciate at you don't come across this beer too much on a routine basis. The taproom is cool and I love all of their art specifically where fermentation liquids spilled onto a sheet or a cloth making various designs and hues during the brewing making process of their beers. Other excellent beers that we have had from this brewery are the Samalie which is a Wild Ale. This one I rated very highly on Untappd because it was so amazing! Things to look for in the flavor profile are sourness, tartness, fruitiness, a natural sweetness and a dry finish. Really an excellent beer! Moving on from that we had the great Ping Pong Table Beer. This was another beer I rated quite highly and enjoyed immensely. This beer is light bodies, smooth and effervescent with the flavor of elderflower at work. Another excellent beer! Definitely great beer experiences with this brewery and definitely recommend it to the more adventurous beer drinking folks.
