We went to the bar to order a drink and were told if we wanted food, we would have to wait and get a table, so we were sent to check in at the front desk receptionist. She put our name down to be seated outside where all the empty tables were, and sent us to the bar if we wanted a drink. We got a drink and were then called to a table outside. One of the weirder restaurant experiences I've had. I've been twice, and both times have felt very chaotic both indoors and out. People everywhere, lines for everything, and so many doors and rooms to get lost in. The food I had the first time was good (Reuben and soft pretzel) but the second time wasn't anything special (fish and chips). The beer is good but everything is expensive. Now for the weird part. On our second visit, our server came to take our orders. She complimented my hoodie, and before I could even respond, she launched into her own life story. She stood there and monologued to our table for like 10 minutes while we sat and listened politely. We were there to celebrate a birthday so this wasn't really the entertainment we were looking for. She managed to get almost every order wrong in some way as she was reading it back to us, and went to get drinks. As we took our first sips, she just stood there at the end of the table watching us, then started back on her monologue unprompted. Including how she can't wait for a new job and how bad one of her coworkers smells. I couldn't make this up if I tried. Someone piped up and told her we were just going to hang out as friends and she went away again. This repeated in shorter durations every time she came back to the table, complete with smiling while staring intently at us, and scratching her head violently. We were waiting outside when they opened, the manager needs to tell the employees to smile and be welcoming, as we walked in they all looked miserable. Waitress was friendly and we all enjoyed our food. I had the French dip, loved the Sparrow bakery roll! There wasn't a ton of meat in the sandwich seemed a little overpriced. I found myself going back for the fish tacos and an iced tea, cannot lose with that combo! They have a great outdoor seating area that is dog friendly and also has a stage where they host bands and such in the summer, entertainment and a meal! I have come to Worthy many times with friends and my family and it's always a great experience (especially for a family w/ young kids). Today my 6-year-old son and I came in for a late lunch and we had CARI as our server... SHE WAS AMAZING! We liked the place overall. This was our first visit. Fish and chips was all good. Freshly made Steelhead and fried with good tasty coleslaw and tarter sauce. The nachos and pulled pork was also nice. The beers hit the spot and the outside seatings in the beautiful sun made the overall experience well worth the trip. We shall come again! Service was quick and not too difficult to find when we needed something. Poutine was really something we should have not ordered . . . DELICIOUS and we scarfed it up, meaning we couldn't finish our other food. OUR ERROR. Chowder was great, my wife said there was a spice in it she didn't care for, but I ate mine had took hers for a snack later. RUBEN, all the elements were excellent although it could have had a better pickle. French dip was also tasty. She had a cider that was really good (I tasted it also). Ok, I had the wings:) We were overwhelmed by this place. First impression was, it's huge. Some garden stuff out in the parking lot area, including chickens, garden vegetables and free flowing hops. The digs inside are equally enormous and simply delightful. I took my grandson on a full tour. We even climbed some three stories up to an additional bar area. We saw the fermenting beer tanks, art and some fine details of design/function, a Firestone pizza oven and more. The food was over the top bar/tap house grub that filled the pie hole and imagination. Worthy is self sustainable! How awesome is that! This was my first time at Worthy and there was a lot to take in. First, the layout of the restaurant is very unique. We ate outside where they had a grass area and a stage where bands play. They had a couple of fire pits outside and I thought it was nice. They had picnic style benches and my party of 5 fit very comfortably. The beer selection was stronger than what I've normally seen. I wanted something light but almost all of the beer was over 5% and an IPA. I managed to find a mango IPA that was 3.5% and I enjoyed it. The aroma of mango came threw perfectly and the taste of fruit was very subtle with a well balanced taste of the hops. Overall the food was good. The smokehouse pizza was tasty and the crust was enjoyable all the way through. This was big enough to share. The Jalapeño Mac was creamy and hit the spot. They used fresh jalapeño that lacked heat but still paired well with the savory bacon. The bread crumb topping was a very nice addition. The Magic Bus Burger was a dance of flavors, pairing sweet and savory. They messed up the temps for everyone's burger and cooked them all well done and dry, but luckily this burger had enough toppings to still finish it. The fries were very tasty and delicious. This place used to be a lot better. Our experience on our most recent visit is enough to make that our last and final visit. SUMMARY: Food was barely adequate in terms of quality. Service was very, very poor. Beer is good. There are better places to spend your time and money. Read below if you want details. Service was abysmal. It was a Sunday, about 1:30pm, so no real lunch rush. There were clear tables available. About four staff milling around, but none making eye-contact while we stood at the "Please wait to be seated" sign. No greeting, no "We'll be right with you.", no acknowledgement of any kind. Finally, a young and obviously bored "host" (male) seemed to notice us and grabbed some menus and started walking away without a word...were we supposed to follow? The wait-person took our order, but that was about all. I ordered the sampler "flight" of beers, my wife asked for a sample of a cider, and my Mom ordered a cider. The drinks arrived separately (not together) and the sample for my wife was so miniscule that it wasn't even worth bothering. My beer flight took another 10 minutes to arrive. The bartender can't pour a complete order of one pint of cider and 4 x 4oz. beers at the same time? Our food took around 40 minutes from order to when it was brought to our table. Again, the place was NOT busy, so I can't understand how two burgers and a bowl of soup & house salad takes that long to prepare. The food was of (barely) adequate quality and edible. The soup (a seafood chowder) was soooo salty, like it was a concentrate from a can that hadn't been diluted enough. My burger was the "special" but it was anything but. Basically, a single cheese-burger using Gouda. It was greasy on the outside of the bun (why?) and had precious little condiments (more on that later). And, they use shredded lettuce on the burgers (admittedly, this is a pet peeve of mine. A quality burger should use leaf lettuce) When the food was delivered, there was no "Can I get you anything else?" So, I had to flag down the wait-person and ask for some water. Also my mom had to ask for ketchup for her fries and I asked for some mustard for my burger. It turns out they added 50 cents to the bill for EACH the requested condiments (WTF?) Also...we were asked if we wanted fries with our burgers. So, naturally we said yes. I guess we should've read the menu closer because fries are a $2 upcharge when the burgers are already $17 and $18 each. Apparently, you only get kettle chips or veggie sticks if you don't upgrade to fries. The wait-person made no mention of the upcharge...I find this somewhat deceptive when they ask "Do you want fries with that?" and don't mention that it's a substitution of upcharge. The fries were waaaaay over-salted too. I guess we should be grateful there wasn't a charge for salt. When it came time for the bill, I had to again flag down the server and ask. She never checked in with us during the meal. She took my card without presenting the bill first (!! ??). The bill was $71 for two burgers (with fries "upgrade"), a bowl of soup w/house salad, one pint of cider, and one beer flight. Because I know the service industry generally depends on tips, I still tipped at 18%, but it wasn't because the service was good. I wish I could give a 6th star! After many stops throughout Bend, this was one of our favorites. Worthy Brewing is fantastic. The beers are all unique, the food was delicious and the service/atmosphere was more than welcoming. Our waitress was very attentive and helpful when describing the brewery, the different hops, the building, the city, etc. We were definitely tourists but felt right at home. So, what you will love about Worthy is their cause and everything they do to protect the earth and raise money for those in need. For example, they did a fundraiser for Maui recently. You'll also love the atmosphere. Sometimes you'll love the bands that play, but not always. Unfortunately, their food has declined significantly. My girlfriend and I have been here twice in the last month and it has been pretty bad each time. I ordered a burger medium and it was well done (I accept this because the taste was still okay, though obviously medium would have more flavor). She ordered the chalula chicken sandwich of which was entirely overcooked and dry. She ate half of this $15 sandwich. Previously, I ordered the chicken, bacon, ranch sando. Beware that this mixture listed on the menu comes at you cold. I actually found it to be better heated up the next day. The service is still decent when you get it, this is waitress dependent. When visiting during the week, you'll be unlikely to have any service outside. Therefore, the suggested solution is to order take out and grab a table outside. Not sure if this was due to staffing or just the smoke. When you are served outside, it feels short staffed, but also seems a larger party will get more attention. I'd also anticipate waiting for a mixed drink for over 15 minutes or so. This has become one of those "better order while she's here" even if you have over half of your first drink still. I hate to say that Worthy has been disappointing us. They used to have delicious food and everyone from the hospital would meet up here after a long day of work to have great food and beer. Now we will only be going for the beer if we go at all. The strata hops provided in their beers are a saving grace and unique from other breweries. However, without the food being worth the $15-$20 you spend on it, it may just drive away customers. read more

We've been to some Mega-Microbreweries "Big Name Big Game" brew & bottlers, i.e., Stone (Escondido & San Diego), Lagunitas, Sierra Nevada, Firestone, Russian River, Deschutes - all around the western USA. First time here I can say Worthy is worthy of a mega tag. It's fluid layout indoors to outdoors, bars to picnic tables, a fire pat, hop garden, greenhouse and an upper deck make for a convivial atmosphere for a meet-up for couples, friends or large groups. Beer and grub is on Mega-par. But I've never seen a 3-story "hop-servatory" for stargazing, which includes a 16 inch telescope to see planets, galaxies, star clusters, the moon and sun's shifting magnetic storms. The more hops you taste the more stars you'll see - perhaps! We ordered carnitas tacos and nachos which were delish. Flagship IPA smooth and bitter down the hatch - way I like. Service with a smile! Came in after golfing and had a couple cold ones. There little to no parking available. The place was pretty busy. The bar tender was pretty nice. Very friendly people there too. I got the chicken wings and there were pretty good. They were nice and hot temp wise and they give you sauces to dip you left wings into. They have really clean glasses there. I will come back again for sure. This was one of the breweries that I need to check off my list of the Bend Oregon brew trail. They also give you carrots and cucumbers with your wings. But you have to order them. I thought that the cucumbers were pretty good and different than the celery you normally get elsewhere. read more

Came here for our first meal upon arriving in Bend, and were happy we did. The space is awesome and looks like it'd be a blast in the summer when the patio and additional seating is open up top. Being a brewery, I'd think there would be a system for getting the beer out at least in the first 30 minutes. First off the menu was loaded with great sounding options. After a night out on the town we were stoked to be there. Drinks: mostly flat Dr Pepper. Two Bloody Marys that were sweet for some reason. Side plates were dirty and had finger points on the. Lunch: Honey siracha fried chicken sando x2 - these were fried in old dirt oil and were burnt. Dry dry dry.. the whole sanwich fell a part. There was no siracha, just honey. Bacon was days old and refried. Potato puffs seemed fresh and were fun to eat. Eastside Burger: Bacon was ice cold and also refried. French fries were cold and also possibly refried or old. The pickles were sooo sad. They looked like someone had nibbled off the inside. Only giving a one start cause it won't let me give 0. Went in on Sunday night and it was dead. 10 guests at most. Our server was great very attentive and kind. When we finally got our food they had forgotten my wings. 10 minutes later my wings show up and on the second wing I bite in to was raw. Picked a few more apart and they are raw too.
