Oh, so many breweries to pick from in Bend! Oblivion was one on my list for a while and I was glad I finally got to try it! Obviously Blonde was the name of this particular beer that Steve and I enjoyed here. It had a good, clean and crisp flavor to it with hop, sweet and funky flavors all combined to give this beer complexity. Taproom is nice and laid back. Love the logos here and wanted to buy a t shirt but selection was extremely limited and all that was left was ladies cuts on their shirts so I'd love to see their merchandise completely restocked but sometimes that takes time. read more

The first of 4 breweries on our Cycle Pub crawl, this place had one beer that stood out as my favorite for the day. I continued on to sample over 30 beers that day (taster size) and at the end of the day I had the Road Rider on my mind. The Road Rider is a dry hopped red ale that is truly something special. Tons of great hop flavor on top of a malty caramely red base for a perfectly balanced and highly drinkable ale. All 7 beers I tried were awesome with the 2 IPA's coming in at the top. My sister brother in law who had been there before kept talking about the pulled pork waffles they had but we were there too early (1pm?) to have any so I can't tell you about those. So we settled on a couple house made soft pretzels with beer cheese dip and they were great! The pretzels were super soft and coated with some chunky sea salt. The cheese dip tasty like a sauced version of swiss cheese, a great pairing with just about any beer. Props to Jon from Cycle Pub to make this the first stop! read more

Oblivion Brewing is small an friendly brewer tap room. It's open 2-7PM Fri, Sat an Sun. They offer pints or samplers that you can drink on premises. Once you are finished you can take home cans an/or get a growler fills. When I visited they had a Pilsner, IPA, double IPA an a stout on tap( they had another one on tap but I can't remember). The atmosphere is industrial, but the brewers is friendly an is more than willing to talk with you about his beer. They have been hit pretty hard by COVID-19 since most of their sales had been kegs an it only been recently that they open the tap room. I love the beer an I hope they survive this pandemic. BTW they are only about a block away from both Craft Brewing an Bridge99. All three are great to go too if you're on the northeast side of Bend. If you are still thirsty you can travel a few more blocks an have a beer at 10Barrel an possibly Monkless tap room. I really enjoy this place an you will too if you like beer. It's also a great example of a small brewery here in Bend. They didn't have a food truck the day I visited , but the brewer indicated that one would be soon! read more

We have tried this place twice now. First time we said we would not go there again but it was shortly after they opened so we gave them the benefit of the doubt. They were out of beer and food items off of there menu both times we went. The beer really isn't that good. The food is over priced and not that good. They charge for a condiment!? That is crazy. The menus were wrinkled and had dry crusty food on them, so much that it was disgusting to touch them. The glasses were dirty with chunks of food stuck to them. They charge $2 more for a vegetarian option burger. They charge extra for cheese. This will be the last time we went there. Very very unsatisfying! read more

Wife and I went out to Oblivion last night - I have a bad habit of going out to new places during the first few day of their opening. Usually I'm disappointed. This was the exception. I have never had a better opening day experiencing in a micro brew pub EVER! Wife and I had a Knockout Stout (quite good) and a Snowblivion Winter Ale (liked the stout better). We shared the Veggie Antipasto (with a yummy Kim Che), a Sweet Beer Can Chicken (could have been Cornish game hens) and a Poached Pear Tart. All the food was way, way above average. Now if they only had good food and beer, well, that would get them 4 stars, but the quality service and obvious joy they took in working pushed them into 5 star rating. Our server, Amanda, was absolutely hyper (but in a really good way). Her attention to our table, and her awesome advice was outstanding - she even introduced to to the purveyor of the locally-made Kim Che. All the staff we interacted with felt like seasoned professionals - even though they had only been open for hours, not months. Everything just seemed to mesh. They plan to have outdoor seating available in a while. I will definitely be coming back. read more

This place is great! The beer was good, the food was good, the service was fast and friendly, and my family had a good time. I recommend the Backside IPA fish and chips and the Smoked Salmon Sando. We had a good dinner and good craft beers at Oblivion this week. We experienced none of what the previous negative reviewers commented on. This is a cozy and modern little brew pub with large open air windows, made of metal garage doors. Located in the old West Side Bakery location Westside of Downtown and Drake Park. The place was half to three-quarter full when we arrived after work during mid week. We were seated quickly and given, menus and waters. Our waitress was delightful and attentive. The busboy was also friendly and on top of it. We thought the onion rings were okay, but the burgers were large, absolutely delicious, cooked perfectly with a generous portion of fries on the side - just $9 for their regular burgers with cheese. Our only complaint was the limited beer menu. We liked the golden and IPA and we're glad we got some tastes because the red was warm, flat and bland on the day we tried it. Parking is limited out front, may have better luck on side street or behind restaurant. Overall, an enjoyable visit. read more

My mom and I came here for lunch, wanted to check out the newest brewpub in Bend :) What an impressive place, the atmosphere was funky, kind of garage/roadhouse chic! The windows open to Galveston, and the breeze floats through the dining room, it was really a nice way to enjoy your meal. The service was outstanding, our server was knowledgeable and friendly, she brought me a couple tasters of their beer and I was super happy with her choices. The entrees she recommended were AMAZING, my mom ordered the shrimp and grits and I had the cubano, both were fantastic and I would get them again a thousand times. Our entire lunch was fantastic from beginning to end, I would HIGHLY recommend Oblivion, and I will be coming back many more times. Very mediocre food, friendly service, but slow waiting for our check at the end. The menu has a lot of fancy words and options leading one to think you will receive fancy food, but you would be mistaken. They also should check their definitions. Lox is cured but I received horribly fishy tasting fried salmon. The actual smoked salmon my friend got was also very bad/fishy. The fries and onion rings were the only thing worthwhile. Turkey charcuterie? Seriously? was dry and bland, hummus was orange? Also bland. Mac n cheese was good, but overwhelmingly rich. I'll come back here only if they get a new chef. The best Burnt Ends in Bend. If you go to this place, go there for those alone, totally worth it. Everything else on the menu in mediocre, and the wings are terrible. 3 starts for the Burnt Ends and the atmosphere. My boyfriend and I were excited to try this place. We were disappointed and will not return. The service was okay, but we were constantly forgotten about. The place wasn't even busy. The beer is average. It was nothing to rave about. The food was the biggest disappointment. I ordered the shrimp and grits. It comes to you served in a pool of oil and the portion size is small. My boyfriend got a salmon sandwich which did not look appealing in any way! The salmon was colorless and looked more like cat food. I hate giving negative reviews but it looks like I'm the first one here to be disappointed. The service was sub par, the beer was average, and the food left a lot to be desired. Two of us went in on a weekday afternoon and we were the only two at the bar. We were greeted quickly and given beer menus and food menus a few minutes later. We ordered beers which were nothing special. After about 15 minutes of watching the bartender walk back and forth in front of us without making eye contact I finally had to say 'excuse me' to get his attention so we could order something to eat. You asked us if we wanted food menus and we said yes so odds are we were hungry, no? I was interested in the sliders (3, 1ea of beef, pork, and salmon). I don't eat fish so I asked if I could just get 2 of one of the others as a replacement. He checked in the kitchen and said no, sorry, that's how they're served. Really? You have to make them anyway so it's that much of a problem? I grabbed the corn dog instead which was way over battered and fried for too long to the point that some of the batter had turned almost black. Turns out I was the lucky one as my friend ordered the sliders which apparently were utterly devoid of moisture or flavor. He even asked to use the rest of the honey mustard that came with my dog to give some life to the beef slider left on his plate. If you want sliders done right, go to Cabin 22. We tried a few different beers but none of them were memorable. We also noticed that a lot of the beers that were being poured behind the bar were coming out half foam which tells me that some of the kegs likely aren't being kept cold enough. I'll give them the benefit of the doubt since they just opened (only reason for 2 stars) but mediocre doesn't fly too long in this town when so many places are damn good. I hope they're still working out the kinks since I'd like to see them succeed and give us a Galveston alternative to 10 Barrel. If not, it doesn't bode well. read more

Was visiting Bend and staying in a house just down the street. 10 Barrels was packed and Oblivion looked very inviting with a fun crowd and all the garage doors opened up. Ended up having a great dinner with a few buddies. We all agreed the food was great and the beer was solid. One of the waitresses sat down and gave us the history of how Obvlivion got started and where the chef came from (Victorian Cafe). Really impressed with all the meats coming from a smoker on site and the quality of the food. You could tell all of the wait staff was excited to be there and give great service. Overall, a great experience and will go back the next time I am in town. Give them a shot! read more

Went to Oblivion for the first time. I ordered the Cubano sandwich and fries. My girlfriend ordered the waffle pulled pork sandwich. The fries were good, which is the the best thing I have to say about the meal. The Cubano was advertised in the menu as being served on a cardamon roll. I assumed a cardamon roll was some type of bread suitable for a sandwich. I was incorrect. The roll was literally a cinnamon roll with no frosting. I was cut in half and completely impossible to pick up and eat. It was dry, had a single thin slice of corned beef, and the flavors were almost nonexistent. Those flavors that could be tasted did not work. This was the worst sandwich I have ever eaten in a restaurant. My girlfriend was told when she ordered that they were out of waffles but were serving the sandwich on bread. This sandwich was also light on the meat. The bread was overly greasy. Flavor was lacking. Again, this was not something one would be expected to be served in a boutique restaurant such as this. The beer was good. Not great, but good. Nice atmosphere and good service from the waitress. These two the only reasons for 2 and not 1 star. I'm a local, and I wont be back. Gotta question a lot of the positive reviews..... read more

The two lighter beers I tried at Oblivion were flavorful and the veggie antipasto was refreshing and delicious. Employees were friendly and pleasant, and the atmosphere is mellow. Phenomenal children's menu options and perfectly proportioned and priced. The menu has a wonderful variety for men and woman and I love that not only do they have beer and liquor but fresh squeezed lemonade, THAT'S TO DIE FOR! Another brewery on the westside yaay right?? Wrong! By far the worst customer service in Bend. Our server seemed absolutely miserable and not at all interested in being there, very impatient and flat out rude. Being the optomist that we are we ordered food hoping maybe the food would make up for it. Wrong again. Horrible food. Overcooked everything, black rotted french fries, dry fish, wilted lettuce and veggies. Leaving most of the food on the plates we asked for the check and my jaw dropped to see I was charged $2.00 for a side of mayo!!! We promptly paid and will never return. If you have children, do NOT take them, this is not kid freindly and that's ok for a restaurant not to be, however they make sure and show their distaste for little children. Actually I would probably rate as a 3.5 stars if I could. We Went to Oblivion at 8pm for dinner. Immediately sat at table and drink orders taken promptly. Service was great throughout and waiter had several dinner and beer suggestions. Unfortunately none of us tried their beer. But small selection of liquor was good and wine was decent with a generous pour. We had served at our table a BBQ chicken salad, quinoa burger and pulled pork sandwich. The salad looked awesome, the quinoa burger had generous toppings and the pulled pork was different than I am used. It held together well on a thin bun. I had to ask for more BBQ sauce as it was a little dry for my liking. The meat was tender but I like a lot of sauce. The 'Q' sauce was spicy and really flavorful, I am glad I asked for it. It made the sandwich! The French fries were thin crispy and salty just the way I like them. This is pub food, nothing fancy. Don't set your expectations too high. Decent food, decent prices. The decor is cute but the large garage doors look out at 7-11. I would probably stop by again but not my first choice. read more

I've been here twice. Nice addition to a neighborhood that has plenty of beer places. We have sat at the bar both times and enjoyed chatting with the bartender. I have had great salads both times. Good with fresh ingredients. And oh yeah, the beer is good too. A nice alternative to waiting in line at 10 Barrel. I hope they get an outdoor area. That would make it perfect however I love that the front windows open up! read more

We just had beers but liked everything we ordered. Excellent service and atmosphere, especially for a Saturday night! Got samples of the beers we weren't sure about so we got to try pretty much everything. We loved the Backside, the ISA and the pale ale. The red wasn't our favorite but sounds like it's a local fave. Ups and downs. The beer was alright; overall I was not terribly impressed with the exception of the Red, which I thought was unique. The food was... different. Although I think that their idea of having waffles and ocean rolls as bread for sandwiches is interesting, it turns out way too rich to be enjoyable. Walking in, I thought the space was fantastic. Then I sat at the bar and had the Red Ryder neon sign in my face for an hour and could not wait to leave. The longer I sat their, the more I realized that the style was very disjointed, somewhere between a country cabin and Applebees. Guys, you are close to having a very awesome place. Good brewery. Jack Cheese chicken sandwich was good but not great. Mac and cheese was good. Salad was also good as were the onion rings. The pickles were some of the worst I have ever tasted. After seeing the transformation of the Westside Bakery into Oblivion Brewing I was very curious if this place could make it work. As I approached the building I liked what I saw. Some trees out back looked like there were plans for improvement and upon entering the building I was pleasantly surprised by the interior. Bold yet subtle and executed nicely. It felt as if I was in a comfortable place that served beer. Five stars on decor. Service was prompt and my kids and I were were seated promptly and attended to well by Tiffany. We were given menus for adults as well as kids. The timing of the service was spot on and I never felt rushed or left out. This continued throughout the whole meal. She knew what we needed and when we needed it. Well done Tiffany. After reviewing the menu, I was relieved to see a brewery doing something a little different with the meals. Luckily, I see this a lot in bend (crux is my other favorite example.) I was quickly drawn to the Pulled Pork Waffle Sandwich. The kids ordered the Mac and Cheese and Chicken Nuggets. They were delighted. My daughter raved-"best nuggets ever." And the Mac and cheese seemed to be homemade, but not to "gloppy". It was spot on and plates were cleaned right up. My waffle on the other hand got a C-. I was excited about the fries-just the away I like them- hand cut and crispy, but the sandwich was sad. The waffle was obviously cooked before hand an then spent some time in a heater or some other compartment. It was soggy, lifeless and had very little flavor. I could see the basil but could not taste it. In the future, If the waffle was crisp, I think it would be complimented well by a side of syrup or something sweet to off set the spice of the meat. The meat itself was fine, hard to mess up pulled pork too much. But the waffle part of the sandwich left something to be desired.. Beer- The is is the best part of living in this town. All of the beer is good, and Oblivion stood up in those ranks. I had the Polar star and the Road Ryder. Both were spot on and flavorful. We will be returning and I am excited to try the other beers and some other food. Unfortunately at this point the waffle business if off the table. But good job Oblivion, thanks for coming int the neighborhood and offering a fresh new option to us.. read more
