Was here on a Wednesday evening and they had a band playing which was surprising for a Wednesday night. But I didn't really do a lot of listening so I can't comment on them. I was there with a work colleague. They have a good selection of beers. Only one Stout and no porters which really are my preference . But I did have the stout and it was good and also had the "worthy". Both were good. The place is big. We both had the beet/burrata salad with salmon. That salad was delicious? Absolutely would get that's again. We also ordered the pretzel for an appetizer and it was just ok. I would definitely come back. read more

Worthy seems to be billed as the Bend eastside alternative to all the great brewpubs on the west side or Empire district. Maybe so, but they're also worth the (short) drive. It's also about the first thing you notice driving into town from the east on 20. Welcome to Bend! Here's a brewpub. Nice bar in the main room - good for solos or twosomes. The bar in the back room looks to be less so. If tables are your thing, they got 'em, although tightly packed. Ol' Man Winter has been in a mood, but it seems that outdoor beer garden will be the ticket later in the year. The inside decor, as another Yelper offered, seems at first to be a mashup of casino and pub, and in that sense doesn't work. But then you learn the wood to build the space came from re-purposed 'cuckoo' wood salvaged from an insane asylum and the interior takes on a whole different tone. Speaking of tones, loud music in a pub really bothers me and on my first visit, Worthy assaulted my ears and psyche with an incredibly obnoxious generic 'heavy beat'. Gah! I despise it! Pubs are for good conversation. Thankfully, the second visit was torture-free. We'll see how it goes in the future, but I've been known to turn around at the door if the music is ridiculous. Beer (that's why you're here, right?): - Worthy pours above average (even for Bend) beer. Their IPAs and porters are very good, especially the Peace Pipe porter which is unlike any other I've had. The pale ale and red ales are also solid. Food: - Homegrown pizza: medium thick, nice flavors, well cooked. Not bad, and a cut above some of the mediocre 'flatbread' pizzas I've had around town. - Coconut clam chowder - Thailand meets New England. Interesting and fairly tasty but not as much as you might hope. Lacks the heart-attack inducing richness of Thai coconut soup. - Blackened salmon tacos, with corn tortillas: the bartender talked me into the mango salsa, which rocked. These are good fish tacos. You get three and they're not small. - Fish and chips: fish is very good, cole slaw is weak, fries (chips) are tasty but a bit greasy. At $19, a little expensive. Good service at the bar. Parking. Worthy's lot seems adequate but it really isn't large enough for the weekend crowd. You'll find some street parking but the area seems crowded in general. I'm a fan. Ok..... really good food and beers. I had the Oppor-tuna-ty Salad which was awesome. My mother in law had the steelhead salmon tacos, I got one of the 3 huge tacos, and OMG!!!!! My wife had the friend of the devil chicken sandwich, wow, good stuff. The service was more than friendly and fast as well. Our server checked in twice to make sure everything was fine. Ive been coming to worthy for 4 years.. When we first moved here the food was amazing. The environment was fun and family oriented. Through covid it maintained......then something happened. The menu has been changed so much, its impossible to know what is good. That does not matter though because no matter what you order...its poorly prepared and usually cold, soggy and undercooked. To top it off...the best item on there menu has been removed (the coconut clam chowder). It took a lot of bad visits to write this review. But it needed to be said.....hire the old chef and get the back of house in order. .it gets 1 star because at least the service is good. We used to love this place and it was the first place we went when we came back into town, they changed the menu a lot over the years and it's pretty bare now. The fish and chips were really good as was my sun dried tomato salad but those were the only two things I'd consider ordering. Service consistently sucks now it seems. Such a cool vibe and property, love the patio and walking around the garden and seeing the chickens but the menu is lame for the vibe they put out and the service is the worst. read more

They serve delicious burgers and the steelhead with roasted potatoes was perfectly cooked and just delicious. Can't wait to try other dishes on their menu. Love this spot! It was my daughter's birthday, and she chose Worthy. It was all of our first time. The service was great and so was the atmosphere. The k my downer was that they were out of multiple food items including 2 of our top choices. The fries were great, the soft pretzel was y also delicious. The pizza was just lacking some flavor. This is a starter dish we are talking about here. Are these wings big, extra juicy, the most tender chicken meat you've ever tasted? None of the above. Food: we stopped here on our way from Boise, and our way back. The food is wonderful, everything we had was delicious and fresh tasting. The beer hasn't had a miss yet! The sweet potato fries are amazing, even cold after two days in a cooler. That good. The veggie burger I cannot recommend enough, the regular burgers received a round of 'mmmmm' from the family. Environment: the building couldn't be any more fascinating, the history and the design. It's beautiful. The whole "one flew over the coo coos nest" thing is amazing. Their stickers and merchandise are also really over the moon. The vibe is perfect for a number of occasions. Staff: every person who worked with us from hostess to bar to waiter were top notch on both occasions. Laid back and funny which is a mode I can completely respect. I hate overly false customer service and these people are real and relaxed. Over all: couldn't give it higher marks. It's become a travel destination and quite possibly my favorite brewery. Try Hard. But not well. Based on the entire experience (7 of us in the group) 5 were satisfied with their meal, the sixth person I'm sure will leave a review of his own. I, on the other hand, was totally disgusted with the food I ordered. Chicken and Waffles. It came out Cold, the chicken was Dry and the biggest problem with this dish was there was No balance. The waffles themselves are some sort of "beer batter" the syrup is beer-based. and I couldn't really tell you much about the compound butter because All the bitterness of every beer-infused item really just left a nasty taste in my mouth. I ended up giving up on the whole dish and finished the dry chicken which was the best part of the Dish and that's not saying much. The menu does not as far as I could tell warn you that everything in this dish is "Beer-Infused" and bitter as all get out. The service was good. Ambiance is always loud, the food isn't that good nor is the beer. Service is great! I usually order a cocktail to avoid the beer. Brussel sprouts are good when they don't burn them, 1/2 the time they are burned. Pizza is ok but to make it good must add parmigiana and pepper flakes. read more

Was in Worthy Brewing after a long hike. Came for lunch and definitely beer. Good options on the beer choices, tried the flight and then narrowed in on my preference. My server was really nice, when I caught her attention. Ordered the Reuben - it had plenty of filling, but missing a sauce. Ask for their burger sauce (server recommended) as they don't have 1,000 Island. The restaurant has a nice layout and patio area. It seems like a place slightly off the boil in terms of customer service. Wasn't busy. Bar tenders and host could probably be enlisted to help out and to check in on customers when it's quiet. No real feel that it is a welcoming place at lunchtime. Maybe it's better at happy hour or later. Not sure if I want to come back. read more

Looked at online menu & went SPECIFICALLY for the Italian sausage sandwich & fish tacos which, when we got to the restaurant, were not on the restaurant's current menu. So, we got chicken wings which came out VERY over-cooked (dry & looked burned) which they replaced with better wings (still over-cooked to our preference but edible) & Worthy kindly discounted the cost of the wings. We also got a Reuben sandwich which did not have very much flavor - it wasn't bad, it wasn't great, basically just mediocre (and the rye bread was over-toasted). Waited a really long time for a table. Then waited a really long time for our food. Was very specific on what we wanted on our burgers and they were both wrong. Didn't have napkins or silverware at our table so we had to steal some from the table next to us. Won't eat here again. read more

Awesome space and atmosphere. I love the farm to table aspect of growing their own veggies and herbs. The garden and the chickens were awesome to read about. Love everything about the outdoor patio, the furnishings and the service was great. We had the nachos and they were fabulous! I'm rating 4 stars because the beers were nothing to write home about - except the guest cider from a different brewery which was great. We would come back for the atmosphere but, not the beers. They were just okay. Not enough variety. A lot of IPAs and Pale Ales. I would love to see more variety to their beers or have more guests beers to fill those gaps. This was a cool spot. We were visiting Sun River and came here with friends. We came on a Friday night so it was pretty busy. There were seven of us and we sat next to the bar in one of the booths. Because it was busy service was a little slow and we had some trouble waving servers down when we needed something but that's to be expected. Food-wise I can really only comment on the pizza I ordered for me and my daughter. I ordered a pepperoni pizza with the server and he was sending in the orders via a device (I couldn't see it on his tray) so when I asked if he could add sausage to one half of the pizza he said the order already went through but he could ask the kitchen and they'll do it "if they remember." Luckily for me they remembered LOL. The pizza was okay. I'm not much of a beer drinker, gasp, so I got a Pinot Noir. My husband enjoyed the brews he got though I am not sure what he ordered. He enjoyed the dry rub wings as evidenced by having none left over and it was a good amount of wings (well drums cause they were all drums). A couple of our friends got the Thai-inspired clam chowder that they enjoyed. They both said it tasted like Tom Yum soup. I can't recommend any beer or a place to come to drink beer since I didn't partake but it seemed hoppin' (heh heh) and pretty popular. There was a band playing and the atmosphere was fun but chill. Love this spot. I've heard many people say it's nothing like it use to be but I've only gone here a couple of times this year. They have a great beer list so if you're like me and love stouts, this place is heaven. Their lights out stout is always amazing. The food selection is pretty decent. I love the big open windows and the Woodsie vibe. It definitely gives you a good sense of Bend. Occasionally they hold an event called the "hopeservatory" where you get to see their stars observatory. Very fun! read more

I haven't been more disappointed in a restaurant in Bend. It was the East side's first brewery and when we moved to this side of town 7 years ago we were excited. I've gone a couple times with the family, and a couple times for an event or "pint night". I've been underwhelmed every time. They have a great outdoor space, but the service over 7 years (pre and post covid) has not been good anytime I've been in. The food is okay at best. Giving 2 stars because I do like their beer, and while they have made improvements to the indoor space (it used to be super cramped), the outdoor section is nice. read more

Very cool place with a lot of potential but you don't want to eat there. Beer was ok not exceptional. Not at all fresh. Worst service of all time. Absent. And it wasn't busy. Food was disappointing. What reads like an absolutely great menu turns out to be mediocre or bad. Pizza crust was average at best. Burgers dried out and cold. Fries were tasteless and cold. Get it together. You've got a huge investment in a spectacular restaurant. Get better management, sack the kitchen staff, and at least try to execute with some competence. Learn how to deliver hot food to a table. First off, my husband and I have gone to Worthy countless times over the years & we have always loved it. That was until today. Our server sat down next to me to take our order and I could visibly see multiple bugs crawling through her hair. As she walked away she was scratching away at her scalp. I went to the manager and let them know. I didn't want to embarrass our server or to make a scene. Clearly it's not ok for her to be handling or serving food. It's a sanitary issue. She disappeared for a little while, our food was served to us by another. The food was not even close to the quality we have come to know over the years. A lot of it seemed as though it was from a frozen bag. Very disappointing. Then as we were leaving our original server came out from the kitchen and was walking about and wiping down tables. Simply not ok. This was one our favorite places to come in Bend and sad to say we won't be back. read more

we have been coming to worthy for years.. it used to be "our place" great live music in the summer cool atmosphere and great food. unfortunately the food items that were fan favorites were removed from the menu and they keep deleting basic pub food. Each time we come here now it is gamble. We can order the same thing and one day it is awful and the next it is decent. But one thing is constant, everyone keeps asking to bring back the steelhead tacos, sweet potato French fries, burgers and sandwiches. The remainder of the menu is poor at best. This place has obviously slowed down significantly as the locals are over the menu. The good thing is we can always get a table now! This town has tons of breweries that serve well done basic food, the need to keep removing your highest selling items will only continue to decline business. for what it's worth go somewhere else first unless they are packed and then come to worthy. read more

Our favorite brewery in Bend once again gave us exactly what we were in the mood for! After a 2 hour very snowy hike with our dogs, I wanted nachos and my boyfriend wanted a burger and we both wanted some good beer (The dogs wanted to stay passed out at home this time). We both got beer flights and tried to get different beers so we could try each other's of course. The beer flights are a great size to start off with, and the taste is even better! My boyfriend got the stacked Eastsider Burger with a huge side Caesar salad. I got the Cochinita Nachos with a three cheese sauce and I couldn't be happier! I love cheese sauces versus melted cheese so much more, and this one was epic with the most amazing toppings. Our service was also incredible as usual and I wish I remembered our servers name from last night, but she seemed to be the only server on a slow night and she rocked it! We want to thank the kitchen staff too for giving us our perfect meal after being out in the cold! We loved watching how happy the staff seemed working around with each other too. It just adds to the ambiance of this brewery and I left with an even bigger smile after I got my newest shirt. "Earth First Beer Second." We will be back again soon! read more

Not a bad place! Worthy isn't necessarily my favorite brewery in Bend but the service was cheerful and friendly. The food here is fresh and flavorful so no complaints there at all. Their sandwiches and salads are tasty... nothing extremely memorable however but you can definitely get a solid meal here. The place seems well equipped to deal with a lot of customers at once. We went here during a holiday weekend and there was no wait at all despite it being fairly busy. The beer we had here the Lucky Plucky Fresh Hop which was an American IPA style beer and the Local 36 which was an American Amber . The beers were solid enough but not quite as experimental in ingredients which is always looking for. I was really taken with one of their t-shirts which was Andy Warhol pop style of hops. There was NO way I was going to leave this place without that t-shirt since I love Andy Warhol and hops! Lol! read more

We have been coming to Worthy for years with mostly great experiences. Our most recent visit was a disappointment. Food: chicken tacos were solid. The kids Mac and cheese was a large plate. The menu had listed applesauce as the side but it showed up with oranges. Not a big deal but would have been nice to know of the sub. Service: they had 3 employees working the floor, bar and host. They were all working hard and friendly but were spread too thin to provide service for the lunch crowd. Once we got our food, we were not checked on again. We ran out of water and beer early in our meal and were not given a chance to order more. We had to flag down a server to get the check and pay. read more
