Hidden in a small neighborhood the tap house is quite small, but they do have a couple of tables outside and some great people to talk with. They do have a larger brewery downtown but we both liked the vibe of this place. My husband I both went for a pint of the Diablo Red. We both enjoy a red brew and they are hard to come by. Everyone is looking for the magic IPA, but those beers just aren't for us. We had a great time enjoying the afternoon on a warm September day in Bend drinking this beer.

So on our last trip to Bend we finally made it here to the their taproom and it didn't disappoint at all. It was a great stop! We got a taster set of a variety of different beers that they had on tap and they were all quite good. Many of them have a wild ale aspect to them which I can appreciate at you don't come across this beer too much on a routine basis. The taproom is cool and I love all of their art specifically where fermentation liquids spilled onto a sheet or a cloth making various designs and hues during the brewing making process of their beers. Other excellent beers that we have had from this brewery are the Samalie which is a Wild Ale. This one I rated very highly on Untappd because it was so amazing! Things to look for in the flavor profile are sourness, tartness, fruitiness, a natural sweetness and a dry finish. Really an excellent beer! Moving on from that we had the great Ping Pong Table Beer. This was another beer I rated quite highly and enjoyed immensely. This beer is light bodies, smooth and effervescent with the flavor of elderflower at work. Another excellent beer! Definitely great beer experiences with this brewery and definitely recommend it to the more adventurous beer drinking folks. There are plenty of breweries to try out in Bend and if you are looking for something on the more unusual side The Ale Apothecary is a great place for such a thing!

The minute we walked in from the 21+ side, a gentleman greeted us and let us know to head towards the other side with our kiddos, he was very friendly and gave us some pointers on what they got. The decor is bike themed, not too crazy dark, but maybe the afternoon sun helped with that. Now the food. Pretzel is soft on the inside, more fluffy than chewy, and we loved it along with the beer cheese and mustard. The wings were prepared very well, crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside with nice dry rub seasoning and Carolina BBQ flavors. Boneyard is an old classic in the region, with some of their bigger releases contracted out to Deschutes for cans and distribution. If you're a fan of any of those, this is a must-visit location for lots of reasons. It's a big old spot, with an industrial feel complete with collection of vintage motorcycles, an old ambulance, and matching decor. They have a large outdoor patio area to the front and sides, comfy couch area in the middle near the merchandise shop, plus a bright more traditional bar area to the right. Our favorite was the dark and broody bar to the left, with candle light and black leather. All the servers and bartender here are super friendly and so attentive, which is appreciated. We tried some appetizers and snacks, which were good, but otherwise didn't eat here. Their beer tap list is fantastic with their core beers, plus so many limited selections you won't find anywhere else. Prices are reasonable and there's more than one could drink on a single visit. It's one of the farther stops on the Bend Ale Trail too but could be a destination for an afternoon. Bevel is all disc golf themed, which we appreciated. Their flights come on discs; their merchandise focuses on the game, and they even have a putting course outside where you can enjoy their beer while you play. This is primarily an outdoor venue, with many picnic tables surrounded by various food trucks making it fun a location for groups as everyone can get their own things. We visited right at opening on a wet and snowy afternoon, so we opted for sitting inside. They have a few tables, the main bar, and restrooms in the front room, plus other rooms with tables behind the bar which can also be rented for events. Their beer was excellent, as their awards show. The bartender was the only one working, but did a great job with service as well as sharing about their beer. If you love disc golf or beer, this is definitely worth the stop!

If boneyard discounts it so heavily that everybody is willing to carry it, you could at least dumb it down to Rainier costs for the consumer, instead of taking up a tap position at every brewhouse in town while charging full price. The airport shuts in the winter, the AQI is 200 all summer, and the beer is actually mid. "But, but, but, there are 30 breweries! This is amazing!" Thirty breweries of meh. You get better beer in Portland without even trying. Even our local Daddy is underwhelming, although I wouldn't say no to a Freshie. This brings us to Terranaut. I first had one of their beers at Ponch's (RIP), before the Terranaut taproom was even open. It was an uncommonly good West Coast IPA: bitter, hoppy, and citrusy. Good enough for me to frequent the taproom ever since. The beer is great, the range is varied, and the vintage hi-fi vibes are genuinely cool. Terranaut isn't just "Bend good." It's world-class--easily the best brewery in Bend.

Came to Silver Moon to see some bands play and when we arrived it turned out the show was not on…read morethe stage in the main bar, but in a separate building next door called The Webfoot Garage. The venue was small but perfect for the DIY punk/metal bands playing. We were also very impressed at how quickly each band was able setup and breakdown, so no long waits in between bands. It was obvious the organizers knew what they were doing. The venue had a small bar inside so you didn't have to go to the main building to grab a drink. Outside, between the two buildings there were nice seating areas alongside fire pits and access to multiple food trucks. There was even a third stage in the outside area that must be used in warmer weather. Overall we had a great experience and would definitely come back!
