Amazing food and good beers in Sisters. Very niche and unique food but everything we had was delicious. I'm always eager to travel to this area, I will definitely be returning for a snack when I do.

We first visited High Camp back in 2022 when they had just opened, and that experience was fantastic. Since moving out of Oregon, we haven't been able to make it back as often as we'd like, but I've never forgotten that first visit -- meeting the owner, falling in love with their hot seasoning spice (which they gifted me to take home!), and becoming obsessed with the homemade chili oil. Last night (11/20/25), we finally returned, and I'm happy to say the food is still just as wonderful. The flavors were exactly as we remembered. Our favorites this time were the Shapta and the Chau Chau -- both absolutely delicious. We ordered and shared everything family-style: * Momos - handmade dumplings * Shapta - beef dish * Chau Chau - noodle dish * Masu Bhat - chicken curry Most dishes came with a small side salad and jasmine rice. The ordering process is casual and easy: place your order at the counter, grab a table, and they'll buzz you when the food is ready. The staff then brings everything right to your table. The ambience is warm, inviting, and cozy. Even though it was 32° outside, they still had a wood fire going, which made for such a pretty and welcoming touch. High Camp continues to be a gem in Sisters -- absolutely worth the visit every time.

Let me tell you how amazing this place is! Friendly, family environment, The staff are like family, they're very informative and close with the customers and sure do recommend the best dishes. The owner greeted us at our table and made sure all of our meals were great which they were! The other staff member recommend the best ciders and taps and now I trust his judgement. Will definitely back anytime we are back in town! AMAZING TASTING FOOD!

I went here with my partner and his family on our way through Sisters. We saw how highly rated it was and knew we had to go. It definitely lives up to the hype! When you arrive, you take a menu from the counter and decide what you want before ordering at the counter. Once you order you are given a beeper and pick your own table to sit at. They'll bring you your food but the rest is on you - utensils, water, and bussing are all your job. Our food came in about 15-20 minutes. I got the Himalayan burger and the mango lassi. One other person in our group got the burger, two got the chicken curry, and one got the chau chau. One also got a hot chai. Everyone loved their food! It was so flavorful and well-spiced without being overpowering. It was all so juicy and tender. I got my burger without any toppings and it was so good. It was the perfect amount of food and we were all full afterwards. The people working here are nice and work quickly. The restaurant is pretty clean but the bathrooms could use some love and a deep clean. There is plenty of parking on both sides of the restaurant and it's pretty easy to get in and out of. This is definitely the place to go to if you're going through Sisters and need a bite to eat. All five of us highly recommend it!

Horrid drunken noodles. The chicken was all gristle and the dish was absolutely flavorless. The samosas were hard to eat drenched in sauce.

Tender, not gamey, cooked for 5 plus hours until so beautifully rendered I would swear they coaxed fat out of it that doesn't exist. Sauces were delicious, especially the horseradish. The duck fat fries and watermelon salad were also winners. I was worried about ordering oysters this far from the ocean but whoever they are sourcing from did a great job. Delicious. Cocktails and dessert rounded out an exceptional meal and service was relaxed and attentive. We'll be back for sure next time we're in town.

The staff was friendly and personable, and the menu looked promising. We ordered the steamed mussels, beet salad, McArthur burger, and wild mushrooms. The burger was probably the highlight of the meal. Mine was a little more done than I prefer, but it was still very good. The beet salad was enjoyable, though not particularly memorable. The mussels were okay, but several were chewier than I'd expect. The biggest disappointment was the wild mushrooms. I was expecting something that would showcase the variety and flavor of wild mushrooms. Instead, the texture and taste reminded me of the canned mushrooms I grew up eating as a kid. Nothing was bad, but nothing really stood out either. We passed on dessert and left feeling a little underwhelmed given the prices and the setting. Would we come back? Probably not. In fact, when we were deciding where to eat the following night with friends, we suggested Three Creeks Brewing instead. If you found this review helpful, give it a like so it can help others too.

He sweats and pushes us to order and eat fast, doing that waiter thing when they pretend they are not rushing you. "Just checking if you need that plate taken away." Not fooling anyone. Brusque to my brother who is into fine wines and requested tastes of some by-the-glass wines before committing to a glass or a bottle. My wife stated she is uncomfortable around the server. We don't go to the Open Door much now. Old review. A real romantic spot. Great drinks. My wife loves it. Sitting outside is best but the bar is good too. Some nights they put tables in the art gallery out front and you sit around the paintings and jewelry, kind of fun. There used to be a waitress named Kristen or Kirsten, a lady with long hair and clogs, the best server I've ever had and I don't just mean in Central Oregon. The Open Door is the probably the best dining experience in Sisters. Living in Tumalo and working throughout Oregon, I go to Sisters often. Unfortunately Sisters isn't a great town for food. The Open Door has some very-good food, and some pretty-good food. You never know which it's going to be. The halibut, meatballs, and lasagnas are solid. Berries and cream dessert is great. The menu doesn't change much over the years. If my wife didn't love it I wouldn't go back so often. Get bored eating the same dishes over and over. When my brother and his grown kids visit they like the atmosphere, especially those small houses outside with the plants. However they have trouble finding a selection that works for their way of eating, allergies, one is vegan and one is lactose intolerant.

The vibe was peaceful and inviting, making it the perfect spot to unwind. Service was attentive, though a bit on the slower side, we waited almost an hour for the main course. They do have a kitchen break between 3:30-4:30 PM, and I'd recommend making a reservation if you're planning to visit during peak hours. The food was fresh, flavorful, and creatively presented--it's clear the chef enjoys experimenting with unique flavor combinations. My husband tried the seafood lasagna, which was a tasty and satisfying treat. The scallops dish was also delicious, though slightly too salty for my taste and quite light--it came with a small amount of polenta and a vegetable purée, so I found myself a bit hungry afterward. Many people around us were ordering pasta, and it looked fantastic--definitely something I'd love to try next time. Overall, a beautiful place with great food and a memorable atmosphere. Highly recommend!
