We first visited High Camp back in 2022 when they had just opened, and that experience was fantastic. Since moving out of Oregon, we haven't been able to make it back as often as we'd like, but I've never forgotten that first visit -- meeting the owner, falling in love with their hot seasoning spice (which they gifted me to take home!), and becoming obsessed with the homemade chili oil. Last night (11/20/25), we finally returned, and I'm happy to say the food is still just as wonderful. The flavors were exactly as we remembered. Our favorites this time were the Shapta and the Chau Chau -- both absolutely delicious. We ordered and shared everything family-style: * Momos - handmade dumplings * Shapta - beef dish * Chau Chau - noodle dish * Masu Bhat - chicken curry Most dishes came with a small side salad and jasmine rice. The ordering process is casual and easy: place your order at the counter, grab a table, and they'll buzz you when the food is ready. The staff then brings everything right to your table. The ambience is warm, inviting, and cozy. Even though it was 32° outside, they still had a wood fire going, which made for such a pretty and welcoming touch. I went here with my partner and his family on our way through Sisters. We saw how highly rated it was and knew we had to go. It definitely lives up to the hype! When you arrive, you take a menu from the counter and decide what you want before ordering at the counter. Once you order you are given a beeper and pick your own table to sit at. They'll bring you your food but the rest is on you - utensils, water, and bussing are all your job. Our food came in about 15-20 minutes. I got the Himalayan burger and the mango lassi. One other person in our group got the burger, two got the chicken curry, and one got the chau chau. One also got a hot chai. Everyone loved their food! It was so flavorful and well-spiced without being overpowering. It was all so juicy and tender. I got my burger without any toppings and it was so good. It was the perfect amount of food and we were all full afterwards. The people working here are nice and work quickly. The restaurant is pretty clean but the bathrooms could use some love and a deep clean. There is plenty of parking on both sides of the restaurant and it's pretty easy to get in and out of. This is definitely the place to go to if you're going through Sisters and need a bite to eat. All five of us highly recommend it! read more

Very tasty food. We visited for dinner the Sunday after the quilt show and the staff was clearly pooped, but the managed to smile through their fatigue. Interesting tap house with a Himalayan concept. The bartender where you order was friendly, and we got the fried onions, veggie curry, and chicken noodle dish. They gave us a buzzer but never explained they bring the food to you, so I walked up awkwardly and got a rude response from the server guy. When I asked about the rest of our order, I was told, "there are only so many burners in the kitchen." We waited about 25 minutes for the last plate while watching tables who came in after us get served first. The whole buzzer system felt bizarre. In my opinion a number system for the table would make way more sense. For $21 a plate, the food portion was very small, oily and not good at all. Fried onions and beer were the only highlight. We left hungry and frustrated. Unfortunately High Camp Taphouse did not live up to the good reviews here on Yelp and will not be returning. read more

Nurbu met us at the door to welcome us and explain the menu, offered suggestions for ordering, and overall made us feel like part of his family during our stay. My husband and I love coming to High Camp Taphouse for both lunch and dinner. The food is absolutely delicious--Nepali-influenced with rich flavors and fresh ingredients and there's truly something for everyone on the menu. I especially love the samosas and the rice with curried vegetables. Every bite is comforting and full of flavor. The outdoor seating area is also beautiful and relaxing, perfect for a sunny afternoon or a cozy evening. One of the highlights is the owner, who is always so friendly and often comes by to say hello. You can really feel the heart behind this place. Came in for boba after a hot hike - stayed for chai, beer and Momos instead. Iced chai - excellent. Not overly sweet. Good black tea and spices. Cardamom was present but not overbearing. Cloves warm and nice. Just a smooth, good cup of chai. Wheat beer - light, clean and refreshing. Solid wheat beer (forget full name) Vegetarian Momo - not actually on menu but I like momos and my boyfriend asked if they had a veggie version and sure enough they had made some that day for themselves and served us a plate of them. Delicious. Dumpling dough was nice and fluffy. Filled with tofu, veggies and rice noodles - they had a great texture. A lot of mixed flavors and held together nicely. Cooked all the way through. This place deserves a stop. We were in Sisters for 3 days and we ate here TWICE. There a kids menu (make sure to let them know if your kids don't eat veggies), and plenty to eat. Don't worry if it seems intimidating, the food is super approachable. I heard twice "best burger I have ever had" from folks that have obviously had a few of those in their days. Next time I come, that's what I am ordering. Couple things to try- Chicken Curry and the Mo MO's besides the picts I included. The two different curries each had their own personalities. Ours were not spicy, but I assume you could ask for hotter spices if you prefer. First and last time here. The low rating is for the two main dishes we ordered. Let me back up a bit. Pros: Lovely lawn area with scattered tables for those who prefer to eat outside. Inside there was A/C and lots of light. Yeti Rind--Lightly battered thin strips of red onion. Nice and crunchy with a tasty dipping sauce. Cons: I ordered the Coconut Curry with chicken as an add on. The friendly order taker suggested this, telling me it had a lot of vegetables. What I received was about half tofu cubes with chicken in a yellow curry. There were very few veggies, and not the slightest taste of coconut milk. I'd give it two stars. (Note: The yellow curry photos on Yelp which label themselves as Chicken Curry are actually the Coconut Curry). Momo dumplings were suggested to my husband when we found out they had just run out of their hand-ground beef for burgers. They were egg based wraps containing a spoonful of meat mixture inside. Neither of us found them appealing. With tip this was an over 50.00 meal. It was a disappointment. read more

High Camp had been on my list to try for a while but I am rarely in Sisters. After a morning of skiing at Hoodoo, I stopped for lunch and was very pleased. The inside space is open and clean with an outside patio. The tap list has a good selection of craft beers and ciders. The Yeti rings are unique, tasty and addicting. The Bao sandwich was super. The bun is lighter and fluffier than typical bao buns. I was full but ordered the Momo for takeaway. Glad that I did. The wrapper, filling and sauce were all great. Will definitely return. read more
