Gem of a restaurant in Sisters, especially if you're staying at Black Butte since it's only 15 mins away and beats both the lodge and Robert's pub of you're looking for variety and are a little adventurous. The seating is great, and staff are really friendly, but what stands out is the authentic Nepalese cuisine. I'd recommend: Kids chicken fried rice, paired with the chicken chilli- neither of these are spicy and have a great deal of flavor / it's a fusion of Indian and Chinese food. The Himalayan drunken noodles - this is an Indo-Chinese take on pad-see-ew - there are very subtle hints of Indian curry flavor in them The pork and chicken momos - these are like dumplings, and come with a nice tomato/garlic dipping sauce If you choose to dine in, there are plenty of tables in a spacious room and also outdoor seating. My husband and I were in Sisters for hiking and this restaurant caught my eye, because it was featured on Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives and had a Nepalese themed menu. My husband doesn't like spiced foods, but they had a hamburger on the menu so we gave it a try. They are also a taphouse with local beers and ciders. It was cutely decorated with Nepal art and plenty of tables inside along with bar seating and a very cute outdoorseating area. We tried a berry cider, and my husband ordered the Himalayan hamburger. The hamburger had a meatloaf quality to it with a heavy onion flavor. I had a bite and I liked the flavor, and the fries were good with just a hint of spice. I ordered the chicken curry, and it was ok. I actually like a lot of spice, but this was just a basic curry. I might have been better off ordering the momo platter or interesting sounding onion rings called yeti strings. Service was excellent. I believe the owner talked to us after we seated ourselves and was very pleasant. We ordered at the counter at the bar for drinks and food, and the waitress brought everything and made sure to check on us to make sure everything tasted OK. I wouldn't order the curry again, but I would definitely be interested in ordering the momos or an ap and a drink if in the area again! read more

Three years? That was too long since we had been here. We ordered the Mom's again and this time did not split and got two each of the veggie, chicken, beef and pork. Extremely confused by the excellent reviews. We were so excited to eat here, but the food was terrible. Service was incredible and very kind. Food was shockingly bad, I didn't finish mine. We love fusion, Asian, Thai and Himalayan food, so this was very surprising. The momo dumplings were grey and poorly cooked. The burger was very pink and soggy with a soggy bun. Everything was quite wet or very dry, no in between. The miso noodles were just okay and our daughter barely touched them. So bummed as we saw this place on diners drive In's and Dives, and we wanted to try it. I will say the staff was so nice though. read more

The people running the restaurant (probably the owner's) are really friendly which was nice. There was a dog that would come out of the kitchen area and bark at people from time to time which was interesting. As far as service the people were all nice but we ordered our food before the table next to us yet they got their food about ten minutes before us which seemed strange. Had dinner here last night on our last night in Sisters. Amazing food & service. All the food was delicious. Family favorite was the Chou Chou noodles. My husband & daughter loved the MoMo platter. We first visited High Camp back in 2022 when they had just opened, and that experience was fantastic. Since moving out of Oregon, we haven't been able to make it back as often as we'd like, but I've never forgotten that first visit -- meeting the owner, falling in love with their hot seasoning spice (which they gifted me to take home!), and becoming obsessed with the homemade chili oil. Last night (11/20/25), we finally returned, and I'm happy to say the food is still just as wonderful. The flavors were exactly as we remembered. Our favorites this time were the Shapta and the Chau Chau -- both absolutely delicious. MoMo dumplings are said to be homemade and 'worth the wait of 20 minutes.' Mine were served in about 6 minutes. No ginger flavor and gray peas. Tough on one side and mushy on the other. I'm pretty sure I've purchased the same dumplings from the freezer section of Trader Joe's. Server was strange and I, like another reviewer, didn't understand the purpose of the buzzer. I went here with my partner and his family on our way through Sisters. We saw how highly rated it was and knew we had to go. It definitely lives up to the hype! When you arrive, you take a menu from the counter and decide what you want before ordering at the counter. Once you order you are given a beeper and pick your own table to sit at. They'll bring you your food but the rest is on you - utensils, water, and bussing are all your job. Our food came in about 15-20 minutes. I got the Himalayan burger and the mango lassi. One other person in our group got the burger, two got the chicken curry, and one got the chau chau. One also got a hot chai. Everyone loved their food! It was so flavorful and well-spiced without being overpowering. It was all so juicy and tender. I got my burger without any toppings and it was so good. It was the perfect amount of food and we were all full afterwards. The people working here are nice and work quickly. The restaurant is pretty clean but the bathrooms could use some love and a deep clean. There is plenty of parking on both sides of the restaurant and it's pretty easy to get in and out of. This is definitely the place to go to if you're going through Sisters and need a bite to eat. All five of us highly recommend it! read more

Interesting tap house with a Himalayan concept. The bartender where you order was friendly, and we got the fried onions, veggie curry, and chicken noodle dish. They gave us a buzzer but never explained they bring the food to you, so I walked up awkwardly and got a rude response from the server guy. When I asked about the rest of our order, I was told, "there are only so many burners in the kitchen." We waited about 25 minutes for the last plate while watching tables who came in after us get served first. The whole buzzer system felt bizarre. In my opinion a number system for the table would make way more sense. For $21 a plate, the food portion was very small, oily and not good at all. Fried onions and beer were the only highlight. We left hungry and frustrated. Unfortunately High Camp Taphouse did not live up to the good reviews here on Yelp and will not be returning. read more

Came in for boba after a hot hike - stayed for chai, beer and Momos instead. Iced chai - excellent. Not overly sweet. Good black tea and spices. Cardamom was present but not overbearing. Cloves warm and nice. Just a smooth, good cup of chai. Wheat beer - light, clean and refreshing. Solid wheat beer (forget full name) Vegetarian Momo - not actually on menu but I like momos and my boyfriend asked if they had a veggie version and sure enough they had made some that day for themselves and served us a plate of them. Delicious. Dumpling dough was nice and fluffy. Filled with tofu, veggies and rice noodles - they had a great texture. A lot of mixed flavors and held together nicely. Cooked all the way through. My husband and I love coming to High Camp Taphouse for both lunch and dinner. The food is absolutely delicious--Nepali-influenced with rich flavors and fresh ingredients and there's truly something for everyone on the menu. I especially love the samosas and the rice with curried vegetables. Every bite is comforting and full of flavor. The outdoor seating area is also beautiful and relaxing, perfect for a sunny afternoon or a cozy evening. This place deserves a stop. We were in Sisters for 3 days and we ate here TWICE. There a kids menu (make sure to let them know if your kids don't eat veggies), and plenty to eat. Don't worry if it seems intimidating, the food is super approachable. I heard twice "best burger I have ever had" from folks that have obviously had a few of those in their days. Next time I come, that's what I am ordering. Couple things to try- Chicken Curry and the Mo MO's besides the picts I included.
