The place was busy, full of happy people, and the energy was great. We sat at the bar and patiently waited for the staff--understandably busy with a full house. Great addition to Sisters! My salmon was cooked perfectly, just enough sauce to enhance the flavor. My husband loved the meatloaf. Drinks were great! The cheesecake dessert was just ok. They're new in town, so there were a few hiccups, however, nothing that would deter us from future visits. In a couple of months, I'm sure it'll be running smooth. They get their beef from Sisters Meat and Smokehouse, so you're going to get the best steak and burgers in town, hands down. They offer up seafood as well. Everything is fresh and house made. Their chef makes fresh soups from scratch every week, nothing from a Cisco can. The atmosphere is warm and inviting and the staff is top notch! My personal favorites are their Rib Eye, the Branding Iron Shrimp, the Meatloaf, their house brined pork chops and their tequila lime shrimp street tacos! The salads themselves were good, but the cold temperature of the plates made us wonder how long they had been prepared and sitting in the refrigerator. * Entrées: * Burger: My wife's burger was just okay, and we agreed that Black Butte Aspen Lounge burger is better. * Petite Filet: My daughter found the filet to be very good and the potato excellent, though the string beans were cold. * Ribeye: The ribeye was very good all around. * Meatloaf: My meatloaf was a very thin, half-inch piece that was burnt on the bottom. The string beans that came with it were also cold. Service and Atmosphere * The server was admirable, worked hard, and did a great job overall. * The restaurant atmosphere was fine. We had a nice booth, and while it was a bit noisy, that was to be expected given the size of the place. * The drinks and menu were acceptable for the Sisters area. Our plan tonight was to go to MacArthers in Sisters, our new favorite. However, they were closed, so we decided to try Three Finger Jack. Big mistake! We entered and the place is like a saloon, which is appropriate for the place. The booths are black painted wood with no cushions. The bar stools are cushioned but very cheap and not very stable. They wobble a lot providing little confidence they will not break. Our server (bartender) was nice. We ordered a glass of wine which was fine, and then ordered dinner. My wife ordered the salmon filet and I ordered the meatloaf. This was all fine until a gentleman (I assume one of the owners) came out from the kitchen with a small dog on his hip in a little pouch. He began making drinks and serving food to customers with this dog on his hip. This is against Oregon law and it led me to believe that if he (the owner) is willing to ignore this law, what else in the place does he ignore? To the food. My wife is fairly sure her salmon filet was from Costco. So, ok. But it was well done and dry. The meatloaf was well done and dry. The green beans were good. The salad was throw some bag lettuce in a bowl, some bag shredded cheese and a couple of croutons. Not great. So, if you want some subpar pub food in a saloon atmosphere with a guy serving your drinks and food with a dog on his hip. This is your place. For me, we will not be back! read more
