A great lunch stop on our way to Bend! They have an angled parking area on the side and it was a beautiful day to walk around downtown too. It wasn't too busy for Friday around 1pm and we sat outside on their back patio. There were a few options for tables to accommodate different group sizes and some were under the shade. The menu offered lots of comfort food and a few great options for my gluten-free friend. She got the chicken salad lettuce wrap and I got the lamb gyro with ginger beer. I had to do a virtual meeting during lunch and the staff were so nice and generous about the wifi and letting me stay after I finished my food to wrap up my meeting. My lamb gyro wrap was soft and there were a good about of meat. My friend really enjoyed her food too. We didn't get it but the grilled cheese and tomato soup looked yummy, great on a chilly fall day. Recommended stop when you're in Sisters! read more

I can't say enough good things about this place! We popped in on a chilly day to grab a quick drink while we warmed up, and we were offered outdoor seating. We were hesitant, but we stepped into a gorgeous outdoor space that was enclosed with fire pits. It was toastier outside than inside! What really sold me was the COSTCO FUZZY BLANKETS on every chair. I couldn't possibly be cozier. I ordered an eggnog martini, followed by a chai martini. Both were absolutely to die for! Our waiter was very friendly and attentive, he made small talk while changing the propane in our fire pit and made great suggestions on food and drinks! Like that food came out so fast I'm honestly confused. I had to re ask for my soda, and we finally got my dates cocktail by the end of his meal. The service is just weird and that's why I'm giving it this review. The all women staff were slow and lazy and distracted and then the food was exceptionally quick. Very nice. Came in on New Year's Day and was initially surprised to see a different menu than one posted here. Not southern, but more Mediterranean. We had a delicious mocktail, a lovely butter board with warm baguette slices, and French onion soup. The soup could have had more broth and more salt, but it was quite good and I liked the size. Came here for lunch. We were seated outside in the patio. The weather was nice but the bugs were not. We ordered sandwiches and flatbread. We ordered the the club sandwich, the meatloaf sandwich and the Mt Jefferson flatbread. The club sandwich came with nice thick slices of turkey and strips of crispy bacon on a doc focaccia roll and tatie tots. The tatie tots were crispy and yummy! The service was the most unprofessional i have seen from a server not in fast food. the waitress approached our table solely to tell us she would not be taking our order yet because she "had two more tables before you". We then watched as the THREE separate groups that came in and were seated after us were served drinks and food before we were even given water. The water which we had to ask for with our food order, which the waitress took while sitting at our table with us. We waited easily 20 minutes before our order was taken, then at least 15 before we received our food. The food itself was mediocre. The side salad with the lasagna was so over-dressed it left a pool of vinaigrette on the plate. Meatball sub and chicken piccata were disappointing at best. The only entree worth eating was the braised beef, which could have used more flavor. Definitely do not recommend and will not patronize again. read more

Walked in for lunch... mainly because this place popped up when I searched for "gluten free" food in Sisters. My husband is celiac, and we didn't have time to scope out which restaurants would be easiest to order from. I loved how they marked which entrees were GF. I ordered a bowl of soup and a salad to share with my daughter. The soup of the day was a orzo - which sounded great, but it was not. First, it was luke warm at best, and didn't really have any flavor to it. Was the consistency of mushy oatmeal. I would have asked for it to be reheated had it tasted better. I added salt and pepper and tried to eat out the chunks of chicken so I was full. Probably would have made a comment to our server if we weren't eating with my in-laws who graciously offered to pick up the tab. I realize staffing shortages impact service, but it wasn't even busy. They refilled our waters, but my MIL didn't get a refill of her soda even after asking (twice). The salads we got were good, and I loved the cashews (we actually got 2 orders). All in all, I would suggest scoping out some of the other local restaurants. read more

Not only was the food fantastic (lemon pepper pasta dish, several appetizers, grilled cheese and dessert) but the bartender noticed that we were sober and went out of his way to make us specialty mocktails to try which turned a night out into a once in a lifetime datenight to remember. Walked in and saw there was a wait out on the patio. I asked "if we were looking to sit outside do we need to wait in a particular area?" I was answered by a gentleman "I can't help you. I have too much to do". I understand when you are busy you can't seat us right away. There was about 4 open tables inside with no wait so we had no idea they were stressed. I had never asked to be seated. We just wanted to know where to stand. He then said "oh just go outside and find a table" so we tried walking outside. The waitress came in as I opened the door immediately told us "I can't help you right now ladies". I proceeded to say "that's fine we just wanted to sit outside and he told us to go outside" and then we're told we couldn't be helped. She said, "we can't help you, sorry you need to just wait. We are only human". Clearly not listening to what I previously said. They made my question of where to stand/go into a very rude and awkward scenario. The way they handled it was SO UNPROFESSIONAL. We just turned around and left since no one could even tell us where to go. I am never one to ask to be seated or ask for much. The way it was handled was so inappropriate and if they simply listened to what we were asking it could have been resolved and would be happy to give them business. read more

We had a late lunch here and observed something we have never seen at any restaurant before. They are opened for business Sunday from 11-4 and even have a large sandwich board on the sidewalk showing days & times they are open. We arrived at 3 pm and we were the last customers to be seated ( only four tables were being used besides ours ) ...... at least 8 other groups of families were turned away in the hour we spent eating our lunch. Just guessing here but they let about $400 slip out of their hands by turning away all these families from 3 pm to 4 pm . Being business owners ourselves we couldn't believe it. We asked the waitress about it and she said , " the kitchen closes at 4 so we stop seating at 3 " Maybe their website, sandwich board, and hours on their door should be changed. My husband and I partook in Hoodoo's snowboarding marathon (9am to 9pm). We left early and made it to town for some late night grub after working hard on the slopes all day. Sister's Depot was the only spot open in this sleepy little town! It was warm and welcoming and the outdoor set up was beautiful with lovely bistro lights, fires, and decor. Unfortunately, they only sell items from their late night or happy hour menu...so food is drastically limited and plate sizes are small. Still, the food we got was tasty and so were the cocktails we ordered. Service was friendly! It would have been nice to have more options and heartier portions - because we were pretty hungry!
