A great lunch stop on our way to Bend! They have an angled parking area on the side and it was a beautiful day to walk around downtown too. It wasn't too busy for Friday around 1pm and we sat outside on their back patio. There were a few options for tables to accommodate different group sizes and some were under the shade. The menu offered lots of comfort food and a few great options for my gluten-free friend. She got the chicken salad lettuce wrap and I got the lamb gyro with ginger beer. I had to do a virtual meeting during lunch and the staff were so nice and generous about the wifi and letting me stay after I finished my food to wrap up my meeting. My lamb gyro wrap was soft and there were a good about of meat. My friend really enjoyed her food too. We didn't get it but the grilled cheese and tomato soup looked yummy, great on a chilly fall day. Recommended stop when you're in Sisters!

Best place in town, great service tonight too, thanks Ann! Never had a bad meal, and it's great on the patio with live music!

It was a Sunday morning and we were headed back to Portland. We decided to stop here as it's a really cute place. They have indoor outdoor seating and even music throughout the summer When we arrived, there wasn't a lot of people in the restaurant, but there was only one person working and they seemed a bit frantic. We were able to go outside and sit while we waited for her to come and take our order. She was definitely working hard and hustling. We ordered the quiche and salad. It was just the right size and it was really well prepared.

I can't say enough good things about this place! We popped in on a chilly day to grab a quick drink while we warmed up, and we were offered outdoor seating. We were hesitant, but we stepped into a gorgeous outdoor space that was enclosed with fire pits. It was toastier outside than inside! What really sold me was the COSTCO FUZZY BLANKETS on every chair. I couldn't possibly be cozier. I ordered an eggnog martini, followed by a chai martini. Both were absolutely to die for! Our waiter was very friendly and attentive, he made small talk while changing the propane in our fire pit and made great suggestions on food and drinks! I didn't eat anything this time around, but the mini grilled cheese's and tomato soup on the menu caught my eye. I'll absolutely be back!

Butter board - softened butter with fig jam, rosemary, flaky sea salt, and warm baguette slices.

Very nice. Came in on New Year's Day and was initially surprised to see a different menu than one posted here. Not southern, but more Mediterranean. We had a delicious mocktail, a lovely butter board with warm baguette slices, and French onion soup. The soup could have had more broth and more salt, but it was quite good and I liked the size. We wanted to try the desserts, but were too full. Next time. Service was great, prices reasonable. Happy we stopped in!

Great traditional sister's style restaurant. Fantastic for brunch. Make sure to try the stuffed French Toast and a pineapple mimosa. Definitely coming back and want to try dinner and their old fashioned.

Came here for lunch. We were seated outside in the patio. The weather was nice but the bugs were not. We ordered sandwiches and flatbread. We ordered the the club sandwich, the meatloaf sandwich and the Mt Jefferson flatbread. The club sandwich came with nice thick slices of turkey and strips of crispy bacon on a doc focaccia roll and tatie tots. The tatie tots were crispy and yummy! The meatloaf sandwich was nice and juicy. The flatbread was also very good with the pesto and chicken. Overall, a nice place to stop by.

Love the wait staff and food...and ADORE their back patio, pet friendly, warm, with blankets!

Tomato, green olive, and feta with fresh bread. Yummy!

Great spot. We just stumbled into this spot. The Happy Hour deals were awesome. Great food and great drinks. We highly recommend this place. The appetizers were amazing.

The food is overpriced and below average. We had several pasta dishes that were all noodles, watered down and tasteless sauce.

He sweats and pushes us to order and eat fast, doing that waiter thing when they pretend they are not rushing you. "Just checking if you need that plate taken away." Not fooling anyone. Brusque to my brother who is into fine wines and requested tastes of some by-the-glass wines before committing to a glass or a bottle. My wife stated she is uncomfortable around the server. We don't go to the Open Door much now. Old review. A real romantic spot. Great drinks. My wife loves it. Sitting outside is best but the bar is good too. Some nights they put tables in the art gallery out front and you sit around the paintings and jewelry, kind of fun. There used to be a waitress named Kristen or Kirsten, a lady with long hair and clogs, the best server I've ever had and I don't just mean in Central Oregon. The Open Door is the probably the best dining experience in Sisters. Living in Tumalo and working throughout Oregon, I go to Sisters often. Unfortunately Sisters isn't a great town for food. The Open Door has some very-good food, and some pretty-good food. You never know which it's going to be. The halibut, meatballs, and lasagnas are solid. Berries and cream dessert is great. The menu doesn't change much over the years. If my wife didn't love it I wouldn't go back so often. Get bored eating the same dishes over and over. When my brother and his grown kids visit they like the atmosphere, especially those small houses outside with the plants. However they have trouble finding a selection that works for their way of eating, allergies, one is vegan and one is lactose intolerant.

The staff was friendly and personable, and the menu looked promising. We ordered the steamed mussels, beet salad, McArthur burger, and wild mushrooms. The burger was probably the highlight of the meal. Mine was a little more done than I prefer, but it was still very good. The beet salad was enjoyable, though not particularly memorable. The mussels were okay, but several were chewier than I'd expect. The biggest disappointment was the wild mushrooms. I was expecting something that would showcase the variety and flavor of wild mushrooms. Instead, the texture and taste reminded me of the canned mushrooms I grew up eating as a kid. Nothing was bad, but nothing really stood out either. We passed on dessert and left feeling a little underwhelmed given the prices and the setting. Would we come back? Probably not. In fact, when we were deciding where to eat the following night with friends, we suggested Three Creeks Brewing instead. If you found this review helpful, give it a like so it can help others too.

The table was filled with breakfast favorites. We ordered hotcakes, eggs, bacon, potatoes, and huevos rancheros. After we sat down and started looking over the menu, our very friendly server came to take our order. Before she did, she apologized and told us she had some bad news--they were out of a few items. Unfortunately, it wasn't just a few things; it was almost the entire menu. They were out of bread, buns, and lettuce, along with several sandwiches, including the Reuben. She even asked if we wanted to stay given how many items were unavailable. I had been looking forward to their amazing smash burger, but since they were out of buns, that wasn't an option. Instead, I ordered a parfait bowl with a side of potatoes, and my mother ordered the buttermilk pancakes. This situation is unfortunate not only for the customers, but also for the servers, who are left trying to provide good service despite having so many menu items unavailable. Sadly, this experience was disappointing enough that we won't be returning.
