We went to Silverleaf Cafe to see some live music. Parking was easy in an overflow area not far from the cafe. Our first impression was that there was no place to sit; however, a couple that was reserving six seats told that we could join them because one of the couples was a no show. The band was loud and the acoustics were good for live music. The wait staff was very good especially considering the crowd. I ordered a small Supreme Pizza and my wife ordered a BLT. The pizza was good; but, not good enough that I would go back just to eat another one. My wife liked her BLT. I am not a fan of skinny fries. They were ok, with ketchup, while warm and failed the Good-While-Cold Test. We will watch the Silverleaf Cafe website for live music and try other items from the menu. read more

Ok. We love this place. We are locals and we love to ride down and sit on the back patio and have good food and a beverage. In our opinion Jess is the best. She makes an amazing cocktail (and I am extremely picky). She is very attentive and always takes time to make sure we are well taken care of. Even when it is busy, she makes sure we get what we need. This food was worse than convenience store food. Nothing was fresh. Everything tasted like old cardboard, and not even good cardboard if there is such a thing! We got the pizza, spinach dip, Cobb salad, and the pretzel. Oh, the salt from the pretzel was good. The queso container was melted into the cheese from having been microwaved to heat up. The spinach dip was so thick and gloppy--disgusting. The salad was meh but maybe the better of it all. Pizza was inedible. It was take out so we were stuck. The service was good at this place, but we had ordered a mushroom burger and it came out with no mushrooms. I got the croissant BLTA sandwich and it had two pieces of turkey which was really disappointing for $17 sandwich. After we ordered our food, the fryer went down and instead of them coming out to tell us, they just brought out chips for us and charged us the four dollars extra for the fries on our bill that they had to takeoff. First, we really struggled to find this place. It was so loud that it was very hard for us to hear each other even though there were only about 20 people there. The parmesan garlic fries were delicious, but most of the fries were so small that I had to eat them with a fork. My fish and chips (fish) tasted good, but it kept falling apart. The large half Hawaiian and half veggie pizza was delicious ($23). The veggie was the best I have ever eaten. Pear tomatoes, large artichoke hearts, red onion and thick slices of fresh mushrooms dominated and were bound by a substantial layer of mozzarella. We ordered a pizza and a Caesar salad to go last night. We had ordered both several times before and enjoyed them. However, last night was different and disappointing. The pizza topping was sparse and dry. The toppings were cut into very small pieces, so the olives, chicken, artichokes were few. The cheese and white sauce topping were thin and dry. The salad consisted of limp green leaves with a tiny container of watery dressing. Caesar salad should be made with only romaine lettuce and the dressing was tasteless. A $38.00 disappointing meal. Typical cafe food, mostly fried. Dining outside near the fountain was nice, but noisy. Service was extremely slow. The mood was ruined by another patron with his girlfriend. The fellow, in his early 20s, was on his phone, yelling vulgar epithets to whoever was on the other end. His girlfriend was trying to get him to stop saying the "F" word, and looked extremely embarrassed when she was unable to curb his foul language. Luckily, they left without ordering any food, as it would have been uncomfortable listening to his rants the entire meal. Came in at 4 o'clock on a Sunday, hoping to eat dinner here (solo). Sign at the door said, 'seat yourself' so I took a single table directly across from the bar. A few folks were at the bar, and a few at tables; probably 40% capacity. A gentleman walked up to the bar a few minutes after I arrived and was helped with a beer. Two gals came in after that and stood next to the seat yourself sign and were served their requested smoothies. EXTREMELY disappointing. Came here with a group of five. We waited 7 minutes for waters and the was the first red flag. I walked up to the bar the find our waitress gossiping about a previous customer not tipping. I can see vividly why they didn't. I wanted to order the shrimp tacos and they are out of shrimp "our delivery didn't come today" - ok, understandable. Then I wanted to order a side of fries and the fryer is "broken, and it's been needed to be replaced for a year" at least that's what the explanation was from our waitress. My friends and I decided to take a safe route with pork tacos and all of them we delivered to our table cold. When ask if tacos were served cold here, her response was "after they're topped with the lettuce and tomato they definitely turn into a cold taco." Worst experience in a bar/restaurant/cafe' since I can remember. Cafe was not overly crowded. Maybe 10 people there in total. My husband and so sat at bar. Four women working bar... they simply ignored us. They were far too busy chatting with each other--- gossiping... I heard one woman say yo the other how 'look!!! They didn't even leave us a tip'! And after our experience, I understand WHY!!!! Most of the time all four women kept their backs facing us- making it virtually impossible to order or ask a question! The food was good though- I'd like to give a shout out to the cooks. Too bad they have to work there though. One woman in particular was AWFUL! She's blonde, wearing a red shirt. It appeared she might be the manager. She, in particular, was distracting to the other workers. Weird energy and not the least bit curious about the customers. I'm a bartender myself and would NEVER behave the way these women did. It was as if they were there for each other--- to gossip---- but didn't give an F about their customers. I'm also a very good tipper. Usually tip ~ 30%. I've given 100% before , as well. Today, however, we tipped $1. Doubt we will ever go back. Being a server i understand busy... and it taking a minute to get to a table but it was about10 minutes to be greeted with menus and another 12-14 mins it's before we got drinks after we ordered them. only to go and see if we could get our waters finding our server complaining to a coworker about another customer.... then we ordered and many things we not available and so three of us ordered tacos....which all of which were cold. when asked if served cold she proceed to say when topped with lettuce and tomato they get cold.... and our chips were stale...would not recommend this place at all lack of good customer attentiveness and the food is not worth the money nor the wait. read more

Tried this place on a week day afternoon. The food wasn't anything special. I got tacos that were decent. The tortillas were the best part. One of the people in my party got a taco salad and they were not impressed. Some of the lettuce wasn't great quality and the chicken wasn't good. Staff was friendly and helpful when we asked for recommendations even if we didn't end up agreeing that the recommendations were that great. I visited this place on a Friday night. Had a couple of drinks and some food. They happen to have live music that night, the musicians were amazing. All the guests were nice and friendly. The owner was very hospitable and nice. The cafe itself is very beautiful and relaxing with plenty of outside seating with beautiful views. I will definitely visit this place again! read more

Picked up a sandwich here for lunch. It was the most slopped together thing I have ever seen. My 6 year old could have done a better job. On top of that, the turkey inside was horrible. I physically gagged on it and couldn't eat the rest. A complete waste of over $10. I honestly should have used my intuition on this place, as I was waiting for my order and looking around the cafe I noticed how poorly kept and overall dirty everything looked. Loud noise (called music) by the baristas is so annoying that you can't carry on a conversation. I don't go out to listen to other's music choices. Today there were 4 of us sitting outside drinking $4.50 chi teas and enjoying ourselves. All of a sudden, at 1030 hours someone starts playing music? on the outside speakers at a level where none of us could continue a normal conversation level. There were no other patrons at the Silverleaf. I went inside and asked the barista to turn off the outside speakers "The manager doesn't allow that" was the reply. Had the carnivore and the BBQ chicken pizza, both were really good. Also tried their fried ravioli and that was delicious along with the bone in wings with the rum and coke sauce, that sauce was fantastic. I don't care for wings most times but I would definitely eat more of those ones. The only downfall is size of location. It was so busy my wheelchair bound son could fit to eat in so we had to take our order to go back to the hotel which then made for Luke warm items that would have been better piping hot.
