We came to town and stopped at The Hideaway for dinner. It's a sports bar so there were multiple TVs with multiple different sports all on at the same time but not so loud that you couldn't enjoy the great music playing (mostly 80's). We ordered the small pepperoni pizza and Chicken Cobb salad for dinner. Both were great. The pizza crust was thin and crispy- the way we like it. And the Cobb salad had deep fried bleu cheese balls that were a unique touch to the traditional bleu cheese crumbles. We went home with leftovers as both the pizza and salad were a very large portion. If you are looking for a sports bar/grill with indoor/outdoor seating this is in a great location. I'm so disappointed! The hideaway is a place we go where we know what to expect (at least we thought). The service has never been over top or super bad, just mediocre (have to grab extra napkins ourselves, find crayons for the kids menus), but the food doesn't disappoint....until tonight. It's always been on the more expensive side and we know that coming here, but they raised the prices even more! It was $20 for a John Wayne burger and it's now $22. It was $18/$19 for a Rueben and now it's $22. We ordered two kids meals, Mac n cheese $10, and chicken nuggets $11. We also ordered the chili in a bread bowl that was $17. I sometimes get the Cobb salad, but now that is $20. I'm speechless. Small changes in the food quality, lame service, and expensive food means we won't be coming back. This place is not a bad place for breakfast. My party of 7 came in last Sunday and everyone one pleased with their breakfast. I got the biscuits and gravy. It was not really a biscuit but more like a square cake shaped biscuit. It was like not round and more like corn bread with the same consistency as cornbread. They did not give me enough gravy either. My eggs were really good but unfortunately I was still hungry afterwards. She got the chorizo with eggs and really liked it. It was a big portion too. We were in Redmond for a basketball tournament and options were somewhat limited this morning. We sat at 11:25 (group of 7) and were prepared to order breakfast. However, when the waiter came to take our order he told us they were out of some things, including biscuits and gravy. So we got some water and coffee and waited until noon to order lunch. Coffee was fine and our waiter was awesome. Water.... Was horrible. Tasted like chemicals and wasn't cold. I ordered the brussel sprouts and they were pretty good. Roasted just enough. Could have used some balsamic. Soup was delicious. Pretzels were the star I feel. Cheese fondue was more soup like than dip like. It was good, but texture wasn't great for me. Loved the seating area with couches for the kids to hang out and watch a couple games while we ate. Overall a decent experience. 7.1/10 read more

This weekend we had the opportunity to come to Eagle Crest to help some friends. One of the best parts of making the trip is getting to go to the Hideaway for the John Wayne Burger and Allen town Chicken burger! The pretzel bun makes the difference between good and amazing! We were referred to The Hideaway Redmond as the place to get the best pizza in Redmond. Parking was easy. There is a reasonably large parking lot across the street from the restaurant. Entering is slightly confusing. The double door leads into a vestibule with doors on your left and right. We took the door to the left that lead to an empty host-stand. (We learned later that the door to the right leads directly to the restaurant area.) After waiting a short time, a waitress came out of the kitchen and directed us to a booth. Service was very good. We ordered Pepsi (they were out of root beer), Tempura Mushrooms, and a small The House Combo Pizza. The Tempura Mushrooms are the absolute best! They came with very good fry sauce and ranch dressing for dipping. The small pizza was closer in size to what is referred to as medium at other pizza restaurants. So far, it is the best combo pizza that we have enjoyed in Redmond; however, we are still searching for a combo pizza that meets our expectations. We will return to The Hideaway Redmond for no other reason than to enjoy the Tempura Mushrooms. The restaurant has a full bar that we must try in the future. read more

Once the food came, no one checked on how it was for quite some time. I ordered the Santa Fe chicken sandwich, and I did not realize it had first, but it did not have a chili pepper on it. The onion rings are over cooked and not enjoyable. Took another long time to get our tab to leave, had to ask for it. Overall not a very clean feel to the place. Servers at the bar more interested in chatting with each other than attending to their customers. On our way to where we were staying, we saw Redmond Burgers.....wished we had seen that first. My boyfriend and I are very frequent regulars and stop by for dinner and or drinks once or twice a week. We love this place! Drinks are always delicious, as is the food. Pizza, nachos, or the bacon cheeseburger are our favorites! Beer list is large enough that there is something for everyone on it, and cocktails are yummy. There has been some employee turnover lately, but new staff members are doing well and seem to be trained quickly by the fantastic more seasoned staff members. The service here is garbage. Last weekend my boyfriend and I were told all the tables were full and that it would be a 30-40 minute wait. As we left to our car we saw all the outdoor tables were empty and the waitress didn't bother offering those to us. Very disappointed in my first trip to the Hideaway. Ordered the gumbo. It was served cold with no shrimp or discernable crab. It was overspiced. I sent it back. The waitress kept saying they would comp me, but what she meant is - not charge me. However, when the final bill came sure enough they tried to charge me. At least she was eager to please. So I had mini corn dogs and sweet potato waffle fries. Both were over fried. The mustard and ranch dressings were both out of a bottle and the fry sauce had red pepper flakes sprinkled on top. Hot pepper flakes are what poorly trained cooks add to dishes bc they don't know how to let other spices speak for themselves. The fry sauce wasn't very good. One of the speakers for the room kept cutting in and out. Annoying. So I'm rating management as terrible, ownership terrible and kitchen terrible. We have been here several times and the food has been pretty good. Service has never been awesome but always decent. Last night we arrived and a nice guy was going to seat us at a table but we said we were happy to wait for a booth to be cleaned. He said no problem and then must have flagged down a waitress to clean a booth. We were standing right there when she cleaned it and then she walked away, no eye contact, no greeting. We seated ourselves. She then proceeded to walk by us 4 or 5 times, no eye contact, no "I'll be right with you folks", nothing. It was NOT busy, we were one of two tables in the entire restaurant portion of the place. She finally came over with menus, placed them on the table wordlessly and again without even eye contact. Not even a hello or I'll be right back to get your drink order. She walked by again, doing what I'm not sure as the other table already had their bill so she wasn't busy with them. When we still weren't even greeted, we got up and went to Cascade Lakes instead. It doesn't take much to please us, and we are patient with servers when places are busy and they are clearly working hard but this was a joke. read more

Went to the Hideaway on Mothers Day. Isn't that a day to especially treat "moms" with some niceness? No one there when we arrived early for breakfast. Food ok, but when we asked to have our coffee topped off, we were not told there was a $3.50 charge to do that!! I've never in my 71 years had to pay to get a refill on coffee! Sadly, when we brought that to waiters attention, he said "that's what we do". Here's what we do, never come back again. I wonder how much it costs to brew that pot of coffee....50 cents? read more
