I got the chicken Alfredo and my chicken was pink and slimy. My friend got a burger and the meat was bloody and cold in the center. After we both requested new meat my friend got his burger and by the end of everyone's meal I had yet to receive my chicken. My first experience here went very well. I'm a returning customer for the 2nd time. Unfortunately the waitress Bethanie took our drink orders and forget about us for 30 min. She told us to move tables closer to the center and apologized she forgot. It was almost a joke to her as she laughed about it. She did take our drink and food orders promptly. The food came out very fast. I asked for their new garlic steak skillet that she charged me for and did not receive. I asked if this was the new garlic steak and she said oh I mis heard you and later apologized when she saw I was charged that. I told her I would just take the steak they gave me and it was wonderful 5 star great chefs :) They were so fast and the steak was seasoned and cooked so well. Bethanie asked if we wanted A1 but exclaimed they were out of it so she said she would bring us Heinz 57. She forgot our friends ranch so we asked and she jokingly complained about having to walk back and forth so many times. I can understand that maybe she has had a long day but so did we. To forget about us for half an hour and still provide inadequate service just upset me. I do understand she was also waiting on other customers. I think they could use more staff than what seemed like two waitresses. Another waitress had shown up for their shift after we were reseated to ask if we had ordered so that was nice. Bethanie gave us a 10% discount for the inconvenience, after I had asked. Overall, great food. Just customer service could be improved. If a waitress is mentally tired after a long day and "not all there" as she told us, she should go home early for the next staff coming in. However, two weeks ago, my friend and I took our children to Applebee's before going out to an event and I was surprised by the number of staff that greeted us, asked us if we had been helped, the flow of things, and the speed of getting our food. First off- I went in on a Monday by myself. Not having a good day at all. Sat at the very last table by car side door. The staff were nothing shy of amazing. The manager, Meghan, and chadell sat across from me. We shared laughs & good conversation while they were working back and forth. Really took my mind off my situation. I stayed for hours. Eating and drinking until I ended up with coffee. I wasn't rushed to get out. I finally got to slow down and think. Thankfully, they weren't slammed, though dinner got a little crazy, it was nice. The environment and the ppl. I ended up meeting most of the staff. Manager D'vell is very reserved and was so nice to put up with me. Isaiah had me cracking up. My husband and I have eaten at Applebees at various locations over the years because of reasonable prices, good service, and consistent quality of the food. Our experience at the Redmond Applebees last night was a disappointment. When one of us ordered a steak, we were informed that they were out of steak. Our Caesar salads were delivered with tortilla strips because they were out of croutons. Given that these are pretty basic menu items, and it was still fairly early in the evening, we wondered why they did not simply send someone to the grocery store to resupply. We ordered the salmon, which did not seem to be seasoned and did not taste fresh. The broccoli was mushy and tasteless. At least the service was good. read more

It's been awhile since I ate at an Applebee's and it hasn't improved. The warm pretzel sticks with beer sauce were pretty good, but the steaks were soooo over seasoned and tough. Overkill on the salt and pepper. The bourbon sauce and parmesan sauce were gross. The mashed potatoes were gummy and...just not good. Everything tasted like an assault on the taste buds. The AC was turned up so high we were freezing. Our waitress was sweet. In summary, pros: pretzel sticks and waitress, cons: literally everything else. Crap service, blah food. Worst dining experience. Arrived around 4:20pm. Host sat us at a table with chairs, we requested a booth and he seemed hesitant to clean off one of the many empty booths. Asked our waitress if the wonton tacos were part of the happy hour. Waitress said yes. We ordered two of them. They were brought out. No utensils, no napkins, empty ketchup on table. Then she took our order. We said we will need ketchup as it's empty and a side of butter with our meal too and utensils. We asked for napkins which she brought. We ate our tacos on napkins that we had to ask for. Our Meal comes by two other employees, not our original waitress. No butter, no ketchup, no utensils. We asked for them to bring it. They did. Never saw the main waitress again even during our meal except we saw her on her phone walking into the kitchen area. We needed drink refills, never got them. Never checked in on by anyone since we received or food. Tortilla soup was over peppered the mashed taters were gritty and cold. Went to pay from the table as we barely saw another employee. Didn't know that's the only way to pay now a days as we rarely go out with our special needs kids. Good thing I looked at the table top. Saw our check and the appetizers were not half priced. Asked another waitress if she could fix it. Sometime went by, she came back and said she couldn't find a manager to correct it, that we had to pay it in full as she had no way to correct it. Total time spent was about a little over an hour and an half and barely any service. Spent $66 on crap service. No tip given. Left around 6:10 even though we were ready to leave well before that time. We should have went to Cracker Barrel as we normally do. We will never be back as we visit the area a few times a year. Giving our business to other restaurants instead next time we visit. Bad first impression. I haven't refused to give a tip in over 20 years for crap service. I normally give above 20%. If I could give zero stars I would. We walked in and more than half the tables were empty. We were told a 25 minute wait, because the waitstaff needed to catch up. We waited 45 minutes and were seated. We placed our order, drinks and dinner after we waiter made it to our table. It took 20 minutes to get just water after we asked our waiter a second time. There was only one other table in our section that was occupied. Eventually our salads and appetizers made it to the table. When our dinner finally did arrive, the entre I ordered was supposed to come with an au jus dip. After my sandwich was already prepared and on my table, I asked the waiter for the dip. He then goes to the kitchen, and comes back to tell me they are out. Why didn't they tell me when the chef was preparing our food? I would have ordered something different. On top of all this, the 25 minute wait has turned in to a 2 hr wait, and there are only 8 tables occupied in the whole restaurant. I watched 9 parties be turned away at the door because of the wait to eat in an empty restaurant. I understand being understaffed, but there were only 2 to 3 tables occupied in each servers section. We've always loved Applebee's and would always come years ago for our "payday dinners" and made it traditional to get their Brew Pub Pretzels as appetizers before our meals. It's been a few years and after a long doctors appointment, I decided we should come back here because I missed our old date spot. First thing to note when we walked in was the air conditioning was nice and cool, after being seated though and we both were starting to be too cold, to the point we both were shivering and had goosebumps throughout the meal. I don't know why it had to be so cold in there, I like A/C but this was definitely excessive. We ordered our pretzels and noticed they weren't exactly the same as we remembered and no seasoning on top of the beer cheese, but that's ok. Our other food arrived and was decent but it just wasn't the same experience as what we used to love before. Maybe the cold effected us to not enjoy things as much, I'm unsure, but overall we left full. read more

Part of our meal burnt the roof of your mouth while the other part was not even like warm. They locked the doors before closing time. The bathroom was disgusting and was out of paper towels. I didn't notice they were two stars before we came. It was close to the rodeo grounds. The rodeo got over at 9:30 we came in at 8:25. My family and I have had a terrible week due to some family issues. So we decided we needed to go to a place that felt like home! We sat and had drink after drink, and a table FULL of several rounds of appetizers. Afterward, we were cheered up immensely, and feel ready to take on the next few days with our miserable family. Applebee's - BEST TUESDAY NIGHT EVER - American Near Me - Redmond, Oregon

I've never been to an Applebee's before. Considering it's a chain restaurant my expectations weren't super high. We had Bryanna as our server (that's the server name on our receipt anyways) and she went above and beyond to make sure we got the most out of our experience. The drink I ordered wasn't available at the moment and she went out of her way to make me a surprise BLENDED drink. Coming from a bartender that means a lot that someone would go out of their way to make a blended beverage. It looked like she was the only server taking tables at the moment which meant running her own food and making her own drinks. Despite this she was still able to communicate and check in on us often. Food was very good. It's the only thing saving this place. I'm not sure how they are still in business, maybe the tourists that come to the Expo. But this place has zero training. Service is friendly and they are trying but it's very sad that they are not trained. There was no busser and watching a waiter handle dirty dishes and food then serve food was disgusting. It's common place when waiters just ask for your order vs treating you like a guest. We are treated as a nuance now and that's how the vibe feels here. Short staffed and hurried. Was told the wait would be 10 minutes when it was actually 30. Ordered a beer and waiting 15 minutes for it to get to the table. Like I said, No Training. Went there to wait for a delayed flight into Redmond, Oregon. The "older" gentleman who was the waiter and bar tender could only complain at how "tired" he was. It was only 6:30 PM. My family ordered hamburgers and some chicken nuggets, both were completely burned and not edible. We asked the waiter to take the meals back, but he said sorry, the kitchen was closing at 9 PM! Go figure! Oh, we asked the waiter to please change one of the several TV channels to watch sports, but he said the manager had left and he was not allowed to touch the channel changers. We used to go to the one in bend before it closed and it was always good. we went to the one in Redmond last night and it was nothing like the one in Bend the ribs looked like the where baked then put some barbecue sauce on right before the where served not very good my wife had the shrimp and it was so so.
