Stumbled upon this great dive bar, great food, large portions, friendly staff & warm cozy fireplace we sat around. I had the ribeye steak & it was delicious, tender & nicely seasoned. My husband had the fish & chips & he said it's probably the best he's had in central Oregon...Along with Wild Roots Huckleberry vodka lemonade soda...Great!!!

I've lost count of how many times I have been here and I just keep coming back. I was first introduced to Timbers by my parents 5+ years ago and it's still our go-to place when we are all going out together. Personally I love the food. It's typical bar food and that's what I like. They've recently added pretzel bites to their appetizer menu and they're SO GOOD!! So that's my newest fav. My other personal favorites: Quesadillas, Taquitos, Western BBQ Burger, BLT. But I've never ordered something here that I didn't end up enjoying. Again, it's typical bar food and these are only what I'd recommend to others who already know they enjoy typical bar food too. If you are looking for something else... go somewhere else. Unless you are *only* looking for a place to grab good drinks, then this is a good option, because they pour them well here. My parents love their prime rib Thursday's though they admit that some weeks they have better meat than others, but they still try to come out on Thursdays whenever they can. I've never had breakfast here but my parents have several times and they give it 5 stars. The casual atmosphere and friendly service is what we like the most though and what keeps bringing us back. It's very laid back and everyone who works here is wonderful. They recognize us now but even before then we never had any issues. They have really nice outside seating too. They have some table out front and then some out back. I usually only go out to smoke but you can go eat out there too. We usually go earlier in the evening (anywhere from 4-6) so I don't know what the later crowds are like but I love it here, it's comfortable here, and there's nothing I would change. It's by far my favorite place in the area to stop for some drinks and food.

I am Sorry this place maybe great. We came in and the service was very slow. The waitress bless her heart was a little slow and had no idea. Lol very interesting place. Thank very all besides hella slow service but good service ‍. Would come back Food was pretty yum bar food

Good place, decent food with decent prices. I've tried their blackened chicken and their all you can fish and chips on Friday. Both don't disappoint. Their fish isn't too greasy and their chicken wasn't dry. The server forgot that I asked for no tomato's on my sandwich but other than that the service was good. Everything is priced just right.

As a celiac, I made so that they have a dedicated fryer for their fries/tater tots, and they did, so naturally I had to get those. I decided on the sweet potato tots and they were just delectable. I was also craving something fresh, so I got the BBQ Chicken bacon ranch salad. Perfect meal after driving for hours on end. We even came back the next day and I got the exact same meal. The servers were also very patient and knowledgeable. I don't live anywhere near here, but whenever I come back to the area I'll be sure to return to this restaurant.

Once you step inside you are transported to a killer brew pub dimension. The place was moderately busy for 1:30 on a Wednesday and we were immediately greeted by the bartender. We analyzed the tap list and narrowed it down quickly to the 3 IPAs brewed by these guys. We ended up trying all 3 and overall I would give the beer an 8 out of 10. I love a Boneyard RPM or Ft. George 3-way. I have been away from Oregon Craft for about a year so I am a little off my game but I didn't leave a drop in those pint glasses. We both ordered the smash burger and fries with some jalapeño aioli sauce. The fries were maybe the best fries I've ever had. I literally put my head down and chowed through them all before realizing I had a burger too. Smash burger is true to form dressed with melted cheese, bacon, lettuce and tomato. The bun had been fried in magic sauce to a crispy texture before they built the burger. We were blown away at how good it was!! We went to Sunriver Brewing on Wednesday night and think Initiative won our personal award for that day!! Highly recommend you check it out and I want to go again before I have to leave town!!

It sits in an old storefront on what feels like a once-vibrant main street. The cozy colorful lights are welcoming. They have a larger outdoor seating area, but on the freezing cold night I visited, I opted for a seat at the small bar. There were large boisterous parties nearby, it was clearly a popular spot. The beer selection is large, with various serving sizes. Flights of 4 are only $8 here. They also had a number of bottled and can selections, even some from other breweries. The bartender was very welcoming and friendly, as were other patrons so it ended up being a fun evening of beer and fun talk. If you're a beer fan, this is a must stop in Redmond. The 7th Street location in Redmond looks like an older log cabin, with a large patio out front. It's conveniently located to downtown Redmond, easily walkable from other restaurants, bars, and breweries if you're staying nearby. They have a number of core staples, plus a bunch of small batch beers you can read about on the chalkboard near the door. The bartender was immediately friendly and welcoming; I said it was my first time there and she told me it's the oldest not-for-profit brewery in Oregon, donating all their post-bill/payroll profits to local charities. I was also here at lunch time and ordered maybe the best tuna melt I've ever had - rich, buttery, and delicious. They have lots of beers packaged to go as well. If you're doing the Bend Ale Trail, this is a fun stop and worth venturing to Redmond for if staying in Bend.

Stopped in for lunch on a Friday. We were surprised to find an empty parking lot and wondered if…read morethe place was even open. We walked in to find a mostly empty restaurant (2 other tables seated). The atmosphere felt more like it was suited for a nice dinner date than a casual lunch but whatever - they're open for lunch. When I asked a friend about it later, he said he and his wife go there for dinner but had never been at lunch time. My buddy ordered the Grinder (essentially an Italian) and I ordered the Beef Sando (essentially their take on a French Dip). My buddy, who self-admittedly doesn't like focaccia, said the bread was awesome and sando in general really good. We both really enjoyed the fries, that were well seasoned in a savory and slightly sweet dusting. The abundance of fries was well appreciated as well. The beef sando was tasty and also a good portion. My only complaint was the thinly shaved beef was laid flat in layers instead of mounded on the sandwich (see pic). I hesitate to even say this, but it felt like I was eating Steak-umm. In general, the meal was good and filling. The service was good and value for price felt good.

It was not busy, full of empty tables, at 4:30pm and we quickly ordered before happy hour ended at 5pm. Food was $1 off though my cocktail did not get discounted $1 even though it said so on the website. We got albacore ceviche, cheddar bay fritters, beef carpaccio, 2 pork belly sliders, and zeppole. I tried the tea in the high desert cocktail which was fairly herbal with hints of tea, which was okay. Albacore ceviche - good portions with a good amount of chips. The albacore was fairly fresh and it was very flavorful and a bit tangy. This dish itself was fairly filling. Cheddar bay fritters - a bit dry and heavy for my liking Beef carpaccio - love the usage of chili oil which enhanced a typical dish into another level Pork belly sliders - delicious and great value at $3 each. It was so good I got an extra one for myself and even though it was 5:04pm, they still honored happy hour pricing! Zeppole - decent, also a bit dry, but the sweet strawberry sauce somewhat compensated for it. I love that the food came out quickly and service was speedy. This was what we needed while we jam packed our itinerary to try to see as many places as possible.
