Cool place to watch sports get a drink and some grub. I really like sitting way in the back in the half circular table near the restrooms. They got a tv right there and you can watch whatever game you want.. I got 5 drinks/beers for $28.00. Not too bad. The bartender gal was very nice and she did a great job. Good place to hang in downtown Bend. This is definitely a good to bar for a stiff drink and Bloody Mary's. We enjoyed a goodbye-breakfast here with our kids. It's one of their favorite spots! Our waiter was great and the atmosphere was what you expect for a Sports Bar, plus it was very clean from the dining room to the restroom! Due to this service and only ordering a drink/beer each we did not tip and the manager decided to curse everyone out and insult each of us, and then tried to kick everyone out just after serving us our drinks. After verbally assaulting multiple of us and telling us we needed to go outside (simply for not tipping) we went outside to finish our drinks where the manager went on to follow us and continue cursing us out, and trying to lecture us. One of the worst experiences! My group of friends and I were on break and were stopping for a quick drink. When walking in and asking if they were open the servers proceed to roll their eyes, look at the clock, and say yes. As uncomfortable as it was we sat down and grabbed a drink. They proceed to throw their coasters at us, roll their eyes, and murmur about the quickest way to get us to leave. Due to the poor service one of my friends tipped zero dollars on their 7 dollar tab and the manager cussed us out telling us some incredible awful things. We proceeded to try and finish our drinks outside to which he followed us and tried to physically fight us. Saying "I can't wait to get off work." My experience tonight was the most disgusting service I have ever received in a restaurant/bar. We walk in and the two bartenders immediately look annoyed that our group entered, despite the fact that it was 10pm and they are open for hours longer. The bartending service was poor, and they made no intentions to hide their attitude. After deciding not to tip because of how unwelcome we felt, the manager came over and proceeded to tell us how f*cked we were for not tipping. I have worked in the service and I have a great respect for workers in this industry, but a tip is a privilege, not a right. We respectfully told the manager this and he proceeded to start cursing us out, yelling profanities and telling us to get the f*ck out. He literally grabbed my friend's chair out from under him. We left without confrontation and stood on the outside balcony (1 foot from the public sidewalk) to finish our drinks. The manager then came out and started yelling at us to get the fu*k off of his property, which is around the point where he began to physically threaten us. "When I'm off work, you better hope I don't find you and fuck you up" is just one example. We walked to the next bar over, which had great service, which is conveniently when the same manager from Sidelines came over to try and get this new bar to kick us out. Obviously they didn't. The Sideline's waitress even came over and got in our faces. We gave nothing but respect and honesty, and I think the new bar understood that. My experience at Sidelines Sports Bar is, without a doubt in my mind, the most vile service I have ever had, and they deserve a zero star review. The manager's treatment towards us was absurd and abhorrent. Thank you Sidelines for ruining my night because of your actions. read more

Cool sports bar with lots of TVs so you shouldn't have any problem finding the game you want. Service was great with a very friendly waitress who was working constantly. Went there about 4 pm and received a happy hour menu and another small menu. This isn't the usual menu we see. The waitress said they were "paring down the menu." Didn't press her since I got the impression it wasn't her decision and she might be stuck in the middle. Not sure if this was a "one-off" or something that might become permanent. If so, it'll be a big mistake. It would mean a lot of their better items are now gone. read more

I caved in and visited Sidelines after listening to how fabulous the food was for several days. This bar and grill was packed with people and I wasn't sure if it was because the food is "that good" or due to the community events going on that day in downtown Bend. Nevertheless we braved the crowds and grabbed a tall pub table. For my beverage I ordered a mimosa which was served in a pint glass because, according to the table server, there were no available champagne flutes due to the bottomless Mimosa special. So I received and extra large mimosa. This made me smile. For my entree I ordered chicken fried steak and eggs over easy, which also came with sidelines seasoned potatoes and an English muffin on the side. The food was delicious and the table service was consistently prompt and delivered with a smile. I will definitely revisit sidelines next time I visit Bend. Lastly, and as side note to the BF, you were right....you win...ok?!?! This place is "that good"!!! read more

Four stars for a sports bar? ........ I know. I know! I suggested it's four stars because of the exceptional "experience" we occasionally visit a sports bar for. The owners and staff facilitate a spirited, fun (but respectful) atmosphere as your favorite team competes on multiple TVs. It's always a friendly spot, with cheerful staff and positive energy. Recently I asked the server the best way to find a menu item which was free of garlic powder. She suggested a grilled chicken sandwich and she would have the kitchen specially prepare an unseasoned grilled breast for me. I have to say, it was just about the best grilled chicken I've ever enjoyed - clean and free of any seasonings during a very busy NFL Sunday rush. Above and beyond the call of duty - one of the kitchen staff delivered my custom sandwich (in a prideful way) to be sure it got to the right guest. Nice attention to detail - and an example of the kindness and warmth you'll find here. Breakfasts are terrific - lots of value and plenty of breakfast options. If a NE Patriots fan and Red Sox fan from New England can find comfort here, you probably will too. read more

Great beer, great food, great service! A couple buddies and I stopped for a light lunch and a couple beers. We sat outside at the sidewalk tables. Normally when I sit outside, I kind of expect service to lack a bit. Not the case here. Our server and the servers around us all did an amazing job being attentive to customers. Our food was excellent, and our beers never got below halfway before our server came to ask if we wanted another. Husband's breakfast sandwich..made with sausage links???!! Terrible! And my DIL's California Benedict..sauce had broken and egg was chalky and overdone. All this was bad enough but the server never once offered to remove her "mistake" from the bill. I wanted to talk to the owner but since I wasn't paying I was at a disadvantage Topper: the server offered to take my $90 video lottery ticket to be redeemed. As she said her goodbye after the bill was paid,I reminded her of my lottery winnings..she brought it back....$5 short! I went with my $85 right up where she,2 other servers and the bartender were standing and said I had been shorted. They started to say something..I cut them short and said "it's right there on your lottery monitor/register: $90.10" Bartender said..hmm and gave me the other $5. Pretty sure the server pocketed the original $5 probably to make up for the minimal tip she suspected she'd be getting! I and my son have both been in the industry and know crappy customer service when we are subjected to it! Will NEVER be back! We we're really excited to give Sidelines a try as they were a personal recommendation. They also have great prices for being Downtown in a prime location. The service was good and we found seating promptly and they have tons of TV's with lots of different sports playing. Their selection of local beers wasn't the best but I found a pint I enjoyed. Unfortunately, the food was sub par and it was overall pretty dirty from the floors to the bathrooms. I really wanted to love this place but I just could't with the food and cleanliness. I may give it another try at some point to see if it was just an "off" day but I'm in no hurry. I'll update my review if it improves... read more

Do NOT give your credit card info to them, they will steal it if they think you're not paying attention. My ex tried using his "loyalty card" (ironically) to pay for a 25 dollar meal, the server who's name starts with a "J" ran the credit card and forged his signature after explicitly stating she didn't run it, he went back in within moments of the forgery to confront the bar (since he got an email notice of purchase) and they pretended like they couldn't find his ticket (and signature) in their pile. Magic! It was disgusting. They then sent one of their employees to go after him in his home until he kicked her out once figuring out what was happening. Do you really wanna hang around a depressed atmosphere like that where you're essentially tipping dead-beat moms so they can put more crap up their nose? They are scummy and proud. This is definitely one of my favorite places to watch sports in town. I'm a vegan and I don't normally support places that contribute to animal cruelty but I've heard they get some of their meat from local ranches, hopefully they get all their meat from local ranches soon. :) Come on Sidelines I'm rooting for you. I go here primarily to watch soccer matches on early weekend mornings. It's in a perfect location and the doors are already open at 8am. The place gets packed with locals and tourists. Many TV screens and you can always find your game on one of the screens near your table. Also there are plenty helpers inside at the Bar or for all tables. So you are well attended as a customer. I really like that! The menu is extensive. We have had several different plates over the last visits. We have tried the Southwest Omelette, Big Jon's BF Burrito, French-toast BF, and even the Biscuit & Gravy as a side dish. In general they taste good, quantities are average, and the coffee taste in my opinion is below average. But its also very inexpensive at under $2!!! The Bloody-merry drinks are good, but we tend to be there for the early games, one of the only places in town being open so early, a decent breakfast, and very consistent and friendly services. read more

So we took a $10 Uber down to Bend Brewing after calling them at 9pm to confirm they were open until 10. Arrived by 9:15 and was refused service because they already had last call (would have been nice to know when we called). So we decided to try sidelines. They had vicious mosquito on tap which is way better than anything BB has ever made, and our waitress was awesome and we were able to get two rounds before they got everyone out at 9:50.
