Stopped in for dinner on a Friday night with a little one. Service was good, atmosphere was chill and the 3 year old was able to play in the sandbox which has tons of toys for kids to play with. The tables outside are nice with a few fire pits. Our drinks were good, I had a watermelon smash and it was very tasty. I tried the poke bowl and I appreciated the size of it for the price. The ingredients all tasted fresh. My friends had the Mother Clucker and the turkey sandwich. Both were tasty-they each had tots which were standard. Service was good too. We just got done zip lining and wanted to find a good local brunch spot. Lifty's was close by and just in the middle of where we had a came from and close to our hotel in bend. I was very happy we stopped by, the place is very clean, organized and beautiful!!, if I didn't buy a hat I would have gotten a liftys one for sure, that merch shelf they had was great. Now let's get to the good stuff. The service was awesome, we sat at the bar and had a wonderful waiter who made some great Bloody Marys and kept the beers coming when we ordered. Food: my wife got the chicken fried steak and eggs, it was good. I got the biscuits and gravy and let me tell ya those biscuits were so soft and good and that gravy was amazing. This place was great! I really enjoyed my bahn mi sandwich and the ambience was quite incredible. A former Mariner/MLB player was there and the environment was just chill and not too overzealous. We were able to get pitchers of delicious beer and bring them to the rooftop dining area. However, walking past the sand volleyball pit made it a challenge but it was well worth the viewership. They also had a great view of the softball/baseball fields and my buddies were itching to get back on the diamond. We ended up buying the server a beer when they were off, as they were quite helpful to our large group. We will be back! read more

Lifty's is practically next door to the Hotel Peppertree Bend - "within stumbling distance," says my husband. We walked over planning on just having a drink and eating dinner elsewhere, but we liked the atmosphere so much we stayed for dinner. There is a roll up door at one end of the bar, facing the volleyball court. The weather on Saturday August 9 was pretty decent but having the breeze come thru the roll up - we imagined we were in Hawaii! Drinks were great, service great, and our sandwiches - BFP (cheese steak) and Bogey (Italian cold cuts) were good and huge. Should've split. Fresh tasty rolls.Never made it up to the rooftop bar. Staying a few nights in Sisters and decided to try this because of the great reviews. It did not disappoint. A really fun atmosphere. We sat outside on the patio, there was corn hole and a sand volleyball pit! Great service, very attentive. I had the Oaxaca queso and chips appetizer as my entrée. I couldn't finish it. A delicious queso with chorizo and peppers, so thick and stringy with cheese. My daughter had the Thai wrap and tots and she said it was really good. The place was less than 1/2 full on a Tuesday night yet service was EXTREMELY slow. Food was ok. I had the double smash burger. The patties were paper thin. The Mid Call ty Smash Burger food truck at the Waypoint hotel on 3rd Street are way better and cost less. My wife had the chicken sandwich and said it was ok, but nothing special. It sad because the atmosphere is pretty cool. I went during happy hour and the place was pretty quiet. I had an epic hike ahead and was skipping alcohol in favor of water and that was the first thing that seemed to bum out my server. I looked through the items included in the happy hour discount and settled on nachos. The server let me know the size, which I appreciated. She also told me I could get a half order. I opted for that and I really enjoyed the chips, proportions and toppings. When the bill came I asked about the happy hour discount. She said it didn't apply to the half order and when I tried to ask more questions I was cut off with, "I'm not going to argue with you about this, so I'm giving you a percent discount." I don't remember the exact percentage but it was less than the happy hour discount. The service here is typically good! The ambience is good as well. I've been here no less than 25 times and boy has the food gone downhill since we first went. I used to LOVE their lemon pepper chicken wings but after a few times of them being dry, overcooked and not fresh tasting, I stopped ordering them. I've tried many things on the menu, some of which are OK/average and others downright disappointing. They do have really good tots, that I can always count on. I don't get excited to come here, like I did in the beginning, unfortunately. I want to love this spot, but they need to improve the execution of their food. read more

Lifty's is a fun spot in Bend, with their ambiance a great selling point. We attended in the winter to watch a football game, but we definitely want to come back to enjoy the fire pits, ping pong, and volleyball outside! The staff were so kind, friendly, and accommodating. The drinks were great! Food was only okay, nachos were good, but our entrees missed the mark. Be warned, the Asian wrap has a TON of peanuts. Way too many for my liking. I love Lifty's! I go with my family regularly and we are always greeted with a smile and the staff is always happy to have us. The atmosphere is wonderful -- and I loveeeeee the Southwest Bowl as well as the Drunken Noodles. 10/10. read more

Have been here on a regular basis and the food is okay but the beer and service is usually good. Went for dinner and could not get a table in the bar or restaurant even though there were several empty tables because they were "reserved". Which is interesting because they don't take reservations. Apparently they rather cater to an event than a regular customer who is already there in person. read more

Liftys is a regular spot for me and my buddies. I come in here at least 2-3 times a week. I've always been treated really well and welcomed by all staff, even on the occasions where I acted like the drunk uncle at Christmas. There are many places in Bend to choose from. Well, just opened like hours ago, maybe a 4 star but they just opened so what the hemp. Really a nice West Side Bend location, great buildout and outdoor space. YELP Short Answer: yes fun, a little loud, younger crowed, but a fun vibe. Location: excellent outdoor spaces, roof deck and fire pits in the Sandbox areas. It is loud inside and the bar area seemed to attract young bearded males with trucker hats and Patagonia puffy vests like bees to honey... but maybe a sausage fest kind of a night on our visit. Sure that will change. Menu: Pretty simple with an attempt at fanciness, good options. Food Prep: typical and nothing fancy. Food quality: Yes it was all okay and met my expectations for what Justy's is. Ordered two appetizers, Crispy chicken, oh yea pretty good, seasoned and battered perfect so please don't tell my doctor. Then Beef Medallions, well maybe okay but nothing above average and way over salted... could be better but not bad. Waitstaff: getting it all together and very accommodating. Libations: reasonable priced and some good mixology going on... could have been a little heaver on the alcohol but refreshing. Maybe a good beer option would bring a better value. Value: well it was fair, not cheap but the kind of place you could order a beer and sit for a few hours outside... we'll see about that. Hope you visit we will be back... read more

Update to make note of name change from Justy's to Lifty's (trademark infringement apparently). Lifty's is a newly opened spot on the westside near OSU Cascades. It's a little difficult to find at the moment because of nearby construction fencing but basically at the intersection of Mt Washington and SW Chandler. Enter the parking lot from Chandler. - OK draft beer list, certainly not among the best in Bend but reasonably varied. A few custom cocktails and a decent selection of wine. - Menu is upgraded bar food with a number of options for a vegetarian (my wife). They offer a black bean burger but I've never met one of those I (or my wife) liked. Beyond or Impossible burger is the way to go. - $5 beers at happy hour. Not sure when that is exactly. $7 (mostly) otherwise. - Medium sized bar with side tables crammed into a back room. A bit claustrophobic. There's a larger, more open room immediately adjacent. - TVs everywhere. - Excellent outdoor area, including a ping-ping table. Perhaps Lifty's best feature. - Loud music, loud acoustics. This is a loud bar and it wasn't completely packed yet. Good service at the bar. I was handed a menu right off and the bartender waited while I scanned the brief beer selection. She came back a couple of times to ask if I wanted anything or was ready for another. Exactly the sort of service I'm looking for at a bar. When I was there, I noticed a few employees standing around chatting among themselves (mostly a guy chatting up two women) for an extended period of time even though the place was moderately busy. It was hard not to notice because they were standing near me, which was a bit annoying. That's never a good look even if they don't have any immediate tasks. All in all, A-OK. Lifty's is not my scene, particularly with the noise but it will appeal to many. I imagine OSU will supply plenty of patrons. I do like the outdoor area. read more

We had a wonderful time here! We were traveling south on the 97 with our travel trailer and looking for a good place to stop with plenty of parking for our travel trailer. This place checked all the boxes. They also had outdoor seating, so we could bring along our golden doodle! The food was fantastic, our waiter was great and the atmosphere was wonderful. I told my waiter i couldn't decide between a glass of Sauv Blanc or a cocktail. He recommend their house special of a frozen Sauvignon blanc with peach and it was fantastic. I felt like I was on a tropical get a way! We couldn't have been more pleased with the recommendations we received for food and drinks. My father in law tried the athletic brewing non alcoholic beer and said it was the best NA beer he's ever tried! I was also impressed with the outdoor activities, including a full size volley ball court, 3 corn hole games, ping pong and multiple outdoor bars. 2 thumbs up to this place and whoever designed it!! read more

Friendly staff and pleasant service. Large party, sampled various dishes - most fell short. Reuben sandwich was soggy and unevenly distributed. The Cordon Bleu sandwich left us disappointed. Drunken Noodles were soggy and tasted like mall food. The Fried Chicken Special was overcooked and burnt. Drinks lacked strength and flavor. Mezcal was notably disappointing. Not worth the $18+ price range. It is passable but not exceptional like similar places. LOVE this place. Their service is always top notch, never had a single bad experience and I eat here very often. The bar is always clean, extremely friendly staff, and zero mixups with any order which I find incredible. I have had almost everything on the menu so far and I do like that the menu has been changing a lot. Don't forget to look at the back wall for their specials on the black board. I typically order the "Bachos" which are absolutely massive, the only downside is the queso instead of actual cheese. This kind of makes or breaks the entire plate depending on how you like it. Their BLT is nothing like you've ever had, they truly created a masterpiece with this and it is my top recommendation for you BLT lovers. If they happen to have the chorizo flatbread, it is a MUST although the chicken bacon ranch flatbread is also quite good. read more

Would be a good spot to watch NFL games but they refuse to put the sound on. I don't care which game has sound, but turn the music off and play a game on the speaker. But maybe they are not trying to be a sports bar which is of course fine. Just be aware if you're looking for a fun spot to watch games and get some food/drinks. Our party of four all enjoyed their food. We got breakfast and lunch items which all turned out great. The aoili sauce is a bit different from other aoilis we have tried before. I would recommend getting it on the side just in case it's not your thing. It's a bit more tangy. I order the "loco moco" and it was delicious. For the future, I will ask for a less cooked patty, I would prefer it to be medium rare. This patty was a bit overdone. Thankfully it didn't change the flavor. Just the texture. Great service too. They kept up on our drinks even when we were the only ones outside! LOVED the outdoor area! read more

How do I say too loud? What!? No, seriously, how do I say too loud! WHAT!? Say Lifty's! My husband and I went here for dinner and we couldn't even hear each other from across the table! I had the Cobb salad which was nice, and my husband wanted the Reuben sandwich, but they were out. So he ordered the Philly sandwich instead. I did not taste it, but he said it was just OK. The service was fine, and evidently you have to have a mustache to work there! Once again, another Bend eatery where the food is OK and overpriced. One other thing, it was very cold inside, it's April, not the dead of winter. You would think it would be comfortable this time of year. To sum it up; loud, cold, Ok food, and OK service. It might be nicer in the summer when you can sit outside. read more

I'll give 2 stars because they have some good employees, and some of the food is decent. The space is okay, although rather cold in the winter. The biggest problem is that they have the most expensive beer in Bend, served in the smallest cheater pints in Bend. The glasses aren't even shakers. So with a little bit of head on your beer, you pay $7.50 for probably around 11oz of beer. The food is quitexpensive too. Just nothing really makes this place worth going to, unless you like being ripped off. read more
