We had no idea there was an actual J-Dub membership awaiting! We planned to buy a t-shirt or hat on our way out to commemorate our finding but then the real fun began! When my husband told the guy helping us (manager maybe, if not he should be!) the reason we came in, his eyes lit up and he asked with a confident nod "You a J-Dub?" ... and then honored him with THE one and only J-Dub family membership. Sadly, the owner wasn't in for a JD brotherly send off, but we'll definitely be back when we're in the area. Fellow J-Dubs unite and give this place some love. Even if you're not, it's still a fun place to visit. The hazel nut coffee is a must try!

Brickhouse I really want to like eating in your restaurant, but I just cannot see a reason to dine there when there are 5 other restaurants that have similar pricing for a significantly better overall experience.

As a newcomer to Bend, Oregon, fresh from the desert vibes of Tempe, Arizona, I was on a quest to find a dive bar that could match the comforting feel of my beloved Palo Verde Lounge. My journey began at Deschutes Brewery, which, while impressive, lacked the dive bar charm I craved. Thankfully, a helpful bartender pointed me towards Corey's, but it was eerily quiet. Then, like a beacon, I spotted D&D Bar and Grill just across the street. Hesitantly, I approached the D&D, its windows shrouded in mystery, questioning if it was even open. As I pulled open the door, I stepped into what would become a magical evening. Behind the bar was Jessica, an angel in disguise, ready to welcome a weary traveler. My girlfriends and I came here for our first drink of the night to celebrate my friends engagement. I bought a round of shots. We chatted with other patrons in the bar. I tipped well. Suddenly the bartender, a petite brunette, said we needed to leave. She kicked us out after one drink for no apparent reason besides that we were from California? This used to be such an amazing place. It's become corrupted by narcissism just like every other business in bend. Sure the food and drinks are good but the staff are so fake they make Barbie look real. If you want to get a stiff drink it's awesome but don't spend too much time in there especially late at night because it's dangerous to say the least read more

Do not put out a sign that says "wait for hostess" if you do not have a hostess and you are so understaffed that customers have to wait an excessive amount of time to be seated in a half seated restaurant. Shame on owners. We were looking forward to your great breakfast, but walked out instead. read more

Owner has had recent run-ins with the police due-to vandalism at city parks and removal of signage of public safety notices. I've got plenty of places to spend money where the owners respect society and the rule of law. read more

Drinks aren't fancy but they're reasonably priced, the pour is good and the atmosphere is perfect. If you want a $17 craft cocktail then Northside isn't the place for you, but if you're a tourist in town that wants a good vibe that won't break your bank, or a local who wants to truly feel welcomed and invited in then I would highly recommend stopping in to Northside.

Regardless, I venture to say that I have been in "customer care" for more years than the age of the bartender. There have only been a few other instances that I've been treated this way. Extremely disappointing! Will never go there again and will never recommend this bar.

The vibe is fun, the drinks are so unique! They have great music playing, and often times they have live music. They have indoor and outdoor seating, there is lots of parking in the lot.
