You can also customize your meal as needed. To order, you stand in line like at a food court counter, but in a fancy way. While we were there, the line stretched to the door most of the time but it moves fast. This is the time you use to choose your bottle of wine, pick food, and browse the pastries on display. There were several places to sit indoors and out after placing the order. The kids hade the garlic bites (fried balls of bread with garlic and cheese...looked like doughnut holes!) and a pizza. They can add pepperoni to a cheese pizza for the particular children in your life. My husband and I shared a Cobb salad, no croutons to make it gf (the lemon dill dressing was AMAZING! Actually, this whole salad was very good). We also intended to share the NY strip with chimichurri. However, we didn't read that it comes with bread and a side salad (great!) and roasted vegetables in romesco sauce (also great!). My husband is allergic to nuts and so he couldn't eat any. That is not a complaint...all on us! The menu is clearly marked. But be aware if you have a nut allergy to specify that you can't have the romesco sauce. Or let the order taker know, as they are informed on modifications and whatnot. So he ate the salad and done pizza. I ate most of the steak and veggies. Everything tasted really good. The steak was a bit gristly. But the chimichurri was great. My absolute favorite thing was the elote cake with tajin buttercream. It was not a sweet cake. But it was heavenly. I should have grabbed another piece before we left. It was creative and salty and delicious and I still want it two days later. Service was great. Food is brought out as it's ready, not all at once. It's a walk in sit down spot - you place your order at the counter and they give you a number - decent size for busy food times - so usually plenty of seating. Over the phone ordering was a snap and the dude was super polite and helpful - not rushed. My wife got the traditional breakfast - she loved the local links and flaky biscuit - I think it was peach marmalade - not sure, but it was LEGIT. I got the pozole roja (I think that's the menu name) and - yo, it was the best pozole I've had. The ingredients were plenty, the chicken was tender and flavorful, they put the radishes, cilantro and cabbage on the side for you to add so it's not soggy. Sourdough was so good to dip - mouth is watering writing this. Service th morning we were headed out at 7amish was great also - wife got coffee cake (warmed in their brick oven) and I got two citrus muffins and a sourdough cinnamon roll for later - all were scrumptious and delightful. I would got a half dozen muffins if I knew they were that good before. People were kind and the service is quick. We ate there these two time on $52 dollars - both to-go orders. This is hands-down my favorite restaurant in all of Central Oregon. It's cozy, it's inviting, it's nostalgic and it's really enjoyable for any meal of the day. Set in an old home, this establishment has become one of Bend's favorite restaurants. The menus have range with breakfast by far being my favorite. However, their pizzas are spectacular and I've never had a pastry yet that I didn't really enjoy. They serve coffee from a local roaster called Lone Pine. The staff is always extremely friendly and I have frequently positive interactions with them when I stop by. Prices are reasonable, and the food is very high-quality while also being consistently fresh. Parking can be a challenge at times, but it's always worth the effort. Not to mention a chance for a nice stroll around downtown Bend after my meal... just the perfect end to complement a perfect day here in this lovely place. They need to have a serious look at their procedures. The person who takes your order also leaves the counter if you order a mixed drink and disappears to the back to mix the drink, leaving the order taking stand vacant. Just hope the person in front of you doesn't order too many drinks you may be waiting quite a while if that happens. All the while the wait staff stands by doing nothing waiting to deliver orders. Such a disappointing experience at Jackson's Corner this morning. We brought our mom and 82-year-old grandmother for a special girls' brunch. We completely understand needing to order before being seated, but when we asked if our grandmother could sit while we waited, we were rather rudely told to get in line. Forty-five minutes later, the line had hardly moved at all. With the line stretching out the door, no communication from staff, and an attitude when we asked about the wait, the experience quickly went from disappointing to frustrating. Went for lunch yesterday around 12:30 p.m. There was a short line, but it moved quickly. We ordered the 'Jewel Box Salad', 'Beef stew', and 'Cauliflower Potato Soup' -- all were absolutely delicious! Wow! This place is very good! Everything on the menu is fresh, breads, pastries and desserts are all made from scratch in house! The pizzas are to die for! I was in town for 4 days and ate there 3 times, breakfast, lunch and dinner!! It's a must period. One thing that was very inconvenient. You have to order at the counter and there's only one person. For breakfast the line was out the door with a 45 min wait just to order, and most of all the tables were empty. In other words, it makes no sense to have one register with all the tables they have. People are obviously eating fast then ordering your food. It's like have 1 waitress to take orders. They must either have waitresses or multiple registers to order. One order at a time and mist of them are large groups which makes it even harder to order. Everyone is adding food to there orders at the counter because that's when you see all the amazing backed goods, but it is way to time consuming. They can triple their sales easily!! My chosen alter ego/coffee name is "Jackson", so visiting "Jackson's Corner" for breakfast felt imperative while in Bend, Oregon. Although the "Avocado Toast" looked excellent on the menu without supplementation, I decided to increase its super powers by layering eggs and bacon upon it. While I'm not a bread guy, the "miche bread" from local bakery "Sparrow" was a superhero of its own accord and the radish provided a distinctive of flavor. The "French Toast Beignets" were pillowy soft, featured an incredible bourbon vanilla maple syrup, and included pecan butter to slather upon it. While signature coffee selections are available, their regular coffee was worthy of requesting a "to go" cup on the way out the door. Although the food, ambiance, and service needed no improvement, our experience was further enhanced by their music selection of often overlooked talents such as Lake Street Dive and Nathaniel Rateliff. Sorry we will never eat at Jackson's Corner again. The continued and steady decline of basic customer service there has been a truly sad thing to witness over the last few years. My husband and I were really hoping that the new owners had worked to change this critical and systemic problem, but based on recent visits it appears that nothing has changed for the better at Jackson's Corner - in fact, things have gotten noticeably worse. We used to love Jackson's Corner and dined there several times a week for years but the staff of entitled, bratty children and the shoddy service (sometimes downright rude) aren't worth the hassles or the ridiculous prices. Engaging in a verbal altercation instigated by Jackson's Corner staff over an incorrect take-out order was finally our last straw. The staff even thought it was acceptable behavior to continue the exchange outside the restaurant (following us after we left) in order to demand an "apology" from us (for returning food we did not order). If there is any doubt how longtime Bend locals feel about Jackson's Corner, there are currently multiple threads on Reddit (r/Bend) devoted to the restaurant's decline in explicit detail. There are honestly much better dining options available in the immediate area. Active Culture stands out - they also have dedicated parking and a kids' playground area outside. I can only hope the next establishment occupying that space on NW Delaware in the future has a better understanding of how customer service works. read more
