It's a walk in sit down spot - you place your order at the counter and they give you a number - decent size for busy food times - so usually plenty of seating. Over the phone ordering was a snap and the dude was super polite and helpful - not rushed. My wife got the traditional breakfast - she loved the local links and flaky biscuit - I think it was peach marmalade - not sure, but it was LEGIT. I got the pozole roja (I think that's the menu name) and - yo, it was the best pozole I've had. The ingredients were plenty, the chicken was tender and flavorful, they put the radishes, cilantro and cabbage on the side for you to add so it's not soggy. Sourdough was so good to dip - mouth is watering writing this. Service th morning we were headed out at 7amish was great also - wife got coffee cake (warmed in their brick oven) and I got two citrus muffins and a sourdough cinnamon roll for later - all were scrumptious and delightful. I would got a half dozen muffins if I knew they were that good before. People were kind and the service is quick. We ate there these two time on $52 dollars - both to-go orders. This is hands-down my favorite restaurant in all of Central Oregon. It's cozy, it's inviting, it's nostalgic and it's really enjoyable for any meal of the day. Set in an old home, this establishment has become one of Bend's favorite restaurants. The menus have range with breakfast by far being my favorite. However, their pizzas are spectacular and I've never had a pastry yet that I didn't really enjoy. They serve coffee from a local roaster called Lone Pine. The staff is always extremely friendly and I have frequently positive interactions with them when I stop by. Prices are reasonable, and the food is very high-quality while also being consistently fresh. Parking can be a challenge at times, but it's always worth the effort. Not to mention a chance for a nice stroll around downtown Bend after my meal... just the perfect end to complement a perfect day here in this lovely place. Review: Jackson's Corner (Bend, OR) This review is based on two visits: one for brunch and one for lunch. Each visit was with one other person. The space is bright, open, and clean. The staff is friendly. That said, on both visits, the person taking our order seemed a bit unsure or confused. The restaurant was busy each time, with a line for ordering, but the line moved fairly quickly. Our food arrived after a reasonably short wait on both occasions. However, each visit included errors in food preparation, with items not prepared as ordered. Additionally, given the relatively high pricing, the portion sizes were disappointingly small. In general, the food was made with fresh ingredients and while not spectacular, it was relatively tasty. But, for a restaurant of this kind to serve bagged chips is a little underwhelming. Cute little house turned restaurant in a neighborhood! I thought my gps was wrong and almost missed it! I got the eggs Benedict from the seasonal menu subbed with a slice of gluten free toast. Call me a child but I thought way too much of the plate was salad and also each salad piece was a full 4-6 inch leaf so eating this on a date was really awkward hahaha (just warning anyone else who may be coming here to meet a new person). Stopped in for some brunch! This was my first time in. Vibe was casual and bustling! I met up with my cousin and her husband around 10am on a Sunday, so I was expecting it to be pretty busy! Wait time was about 10ish minutes. There were about 10 people in front of us, but it moved pretty quick. Seating was few and far hahaha there are some smaller tables, and then some really giant ones that look like they would seat 8ppl. We had 5 in our group, so we had to ask to sit at the opposite end of their giant square tables. What I ordered- Steak sandwich, carrot cake with lemon icing, and sourdough cinnamon roll. The steak was well seasoned, and the sandwich was very tasty! The carrot cake was SO good, and the cinnamon roll was also good, but wasn't very ooey gooey and soft. Overall, a lovely experience! I came here with a party of 10 which was definitely pushing it for this restaurant, but we made it work! Food (4.5/5): I loved the variety of options on the menu and option for vegetarian eaters. The attached cafe also allows for yummy coffee options for your meal! Went for lunch yesterday around 12:30 p.m. There was a short line, but it moved quickly. We ordered the 'Jewel Box Salad', 'Beef stew', and 'Cauliflower Potato Soup' -- all were absolutely delicious! The food tasted incredibly fresh and had that comforting, homemade vibe. We also treated ourselves to the Iced Bourbon Pumpkin Spice Latte -- what a fall treat! The staff were all so pleasant and welcoming, and I couldn't resist taking home a fresh sourdough loaf -- it's to die for. I'm already looking forward to our next visit! One small suggestion: it'd be helpful to have the special menu visible when you first walk in. Sorry we will never eat at Jackson's Corner again. The continued and steady decline of basic customer service there has been a truly sad thing to witness over the last few years. My husband and I were really hoping that the new owners had worked to change this critical and systemic problem, but based on recent visits it appears that nothing has changed for the better at Jackson's Corner - in fact, things have gotten noticeably worse. We used to love Jackson's Corner and dined there several times a week for years but the staff of entitled, bratty children and the shoddy service (sometimes downright rude) aren't worth the hassles or the ridiculous prices. Engaging in a verbal altercation instigated by Jackson's Corner staff over an incorrect take-out order was finally our last straw. The staff even thought it was acceptable behavior to continue the exchange outside the restaurant (following us after we left) in order to demand an "apology" from us (for returning food we did not order). If there is any doubt how longtime Bend locals feel about Jackson's Corner, there are currently multiple threads on Reddit (r/Bend) devoted to the restaurant's decline in explicit detail. There are honestly much better dining options available in the immediate area. Active Culture stands out - they also have dedicated parking and a kids' playground area outside. I can only hope the next establishment occupying that space on NW Delaware in the future has a better understanding of how customer service works. read more

To those who believe that developing an alter ego is an unrealistic endeavor, I offer the hope that such heights can be achieved through the selection of a "coffee name." I mean, who's gonna stop you from being whomever you wanna be whilst ordering that White Mocha Latte? My chosen alter ego/coffee name is "Jackson", so visiting "Jackson's Corner" for breakfast felt imperative while in Bend, Oregon. Although the "Avocado Toast" looked excellent on the menu without supplementation, I decided to increase its super powers by layering eggs and bacon upon it. While I'm not a bread guy, the "miche bread" from local bakery "Sparrow" was a superhero of its own accord and the radish provided a distinctive of flavor. The "French Toast Beignets" were pillowy soft, featured an incredible bourbon vanilla maple syrup, and included pecan butter to slather upon it. While signature coffee selections are available, their regular coffee was worthy of requesting a "to go" cup on the way out the door. Although the food, ambiance, and service needed no improvement, our experience was further enhanced by their music selection of often overlooked talents such as Lake Street Dive and Nathaniel Rateliff. This was such a cute and homey place perfect for a nice brunch with family or friends. It was warm inside and I just loved the atmosphere. The staff were kind and quick to bus the tables and the food came out quick. This was our first trip to Bend and we wanted to have a quick bite before heading back to Portland. Most of the 'down town' eateries had predictable menu items and prices but were not very unique. Jackson's Corner is a few blocks away but a mile away from the dull norm of down town. We had several dishes for breakfast, including their Breakfast Sandwich and Breakfast Burrito, but everything looked great. The staff helped us pick some favorites and helped with the drink options (lots to choose from). Following a hike at Sparks Lake we stopped in at Jackson's Corner for a quick lunch before driving home to the Portland area. The parking is street parking but was easy to secure on a Saturday early afternoon. We had been to Jackson's Corner years ago with our kids when they were younger. Jackson's Corner was just as I remembered, cozy with easy seating, excellent food options available in a casual uncomplicated atmosphere. You order at the counter and they bring the food out to your table. We ordered the tomato soup and grilled cheese and then the breakfast sando and another bowl of tomato soup to dip it in. Sounds weird maybe but don't knock it until you try it cuz it hit the spot! I was excited to see that there were gelato offerings as well but we didn't try any of those this time around. This converted General Store is located in a residential area of old Bend. They feature artisan breads, hand-pulled fresh pastas, grass fed, organic burgers and a huge selection of private label ciders, ales, and microbrews. The portions are absolutely massive here. Service is fast and everything is locally sourced. We are so impressed with the Farm-to-Table freshness of everything organic here. In California, the dishes would be prohibitively expensive. Yellow building with light, bright interior. There's seating inside, as well as side walk seating with more seating in back of Jackson's Corner building. Lots of couples, friends meeting up, families, kids since there's a separate kids menu. Grab a menu, join the queue to order your breakfast at the counter. Line seems to move rather smoothly. Ordered and let counter/cashier know where we would be sitting so they could deliver food to your table. She was very nice and great w/suggestions when we asked. Ordered: * (2) Classic Two eggs*, both with bacon; organic potatoes, whole wheat toast - offered hot sauce, preserves. I loved this breakfast because the potatoes were crispy but not pan-fried burnt as it can be sometimes w/nice light herbs, eggs done perfectly, one over easy and one light scramble, the bacon was perfectly done and, wonderfully, NOT dripping with grease, the thick sliced wheat toast was great with a touch of preserves or plain to mop up the remnants of lush, eggy yolk * (2) Coffees - liked the way the coffee station was set in the back with carafes of half half & simple syrup, and sweetness like organic stevia near the espresso station. You can get as many refill as you'd like! I really enjoyed a well cooked breakfast of eggs, bacon, w/w toast where it wasn't overly greasy or overdone! And that it's organic and sustainable makes for a good start to my day. Only caveat is not all the pastries are available when we came in at 9AM. Go a bit later if you want to be able have a full selection of pastries. Besides the food You have got to check out the entire wall of refrigerated bottle drinks offered.
