Fantastic sandwich shop in the heart of bend. Rotating sides made fresh, plus daily special sandwiches. Had the Albascore and it did not disappoint. Highly recommend if you're looking for a sando in Bend. read more

Very tasty sandwiches!!! Customer service is just okay. I ordered ahead and paid ahead to avoid a long line of people. Where is the pick up area? One lady ordered ahead, but hadn't paid...they told her to stand in line with folks who were ordering. That doesn't make sense to me? read more

I'm on a crusade while I'm here for the summer. I'm always on the hunt for good food in the Bend /Redmond area. For lunch today ( only open from 11am to 2pm Monday through Friday ) I went to Valentine's Deli . Parking can be a hassle. There is only street parking . There are several tables inside and plenty of seating outside. Today was hot and hazy with poor air quality . Unfortunately I had to sit outside and eat my sandwich. I had the Albuquerque sandwich . Turkey, crispy bacon, and fresh avocado, topped with arugula, tomato, pepperjack cheese, red onion and chipotle mayo on sliced Sparrow sourdough . It comes slightly toasted. It was a quality sandwich . Next time out I would try a hogie sandwich . The sourdough sandwich was good but I can use a hardier sandwich for lunch. read more

I was at the podski and sad bc Americana had run out of gf buns so my friends said- get Valentines! I ordered on their website and chatted with my friends till pickup time when I crossed the street and skipped the long line going out the door They use the Franz sourdough which I like. I got a turkey avocado which you see was fully loaded, like they couldn't have put any more in this sandwich if they tried. Loved the herb mayo. It was a satisfying lunch! read more

Valentine's Deli is hands down one of my favorite sandwich spots in town. Everything is always fresh, generously made, and incredibly satisfying. I always leave full and happy, and it's one of those places you can count on every single time. So much love for this spot--Bend is lucky to have them. Highly recommend if you're craving a great sandwich! read more

I'm not sure why I ever gave this place a 4-star rating when it obviously deserves a 5-star rating. It sold a few years ago and I swear it's even better than before. The Simple Tom and Peppersteak have been my go-to's over the years. I had part of my son's leftover Albuquerque sandwich the other day and had to order a fresh one today. It's so good! Everything they make is excellent. read more

Deli was excellent. I got the peppersteak which was really good. Bread is fresh, sandwich was very cheesy. Sandwiches are big. The cow-abunga was also really good. Main issue is that they're only open 11-2 M-F which is a little ridiculous, main reason for the 4 stars. Outdoor seating is nice. read more

cashier told me they had no build your own sandwiches? funny cause the woman in front of me got one... if only i was prettier (edit - response to the comment below: my bad, guess theres an exception for 'build your own' for children + blonde women in their late 20s) read more

Stopped in for lunch with the family since it's my most favorite place to get my most favorite sandwich in the world. Excellent Cowabunga roast beef sandwich as usual. The flavor combination, the toasted hoagie roll and the best ingredients make each bite amazing. Everyone else enjoyed their sandwiches too and the pastrami was a family favorite with the shared bites we sampled. Going back if we can before we leave town! Highly recommend. Get there before the lunch rush if you want a table. We received great service from everyone too!! Friendly crew! read more

Delicious, consistent, good ingredients, reasonably priced. A go-to for tasty sandos.

Kind, pleasant staff! Great sandwiches and soups plus incredible chocolate chip cookies! It's a small space with lots of outdoor seating but chilly on a wet fall day. We'd recommend and we would return when we're back in Bend. read more

Valentine's Deli is one of those places you're just happy exists. The quality of the ingredients is top-notch, everything is fresh, and you can truly taste the care that goes into each order. Just get in line! These guys use high-quality ingredients in combinations you would not come up with yourself. Order one of their special sandwiches and don't even ask what's on it. The rolls are so good we asked to buy some! I would be happy eating their sandwiches inside a dumpster, but the shop is cozy and comfortable. We will be back every time we visit Bend. Valentine’s Deli - Pastrami! - Sandwiches Near Me - Bend, Oregon

Valentines has the best sandwiches! The sliced bread they use is so good! It hard to bite the sandwich it's so big! Don't go here unless you can wait a long time. I get here at 11when they open and it takes 20-25 minutes to get one sandwich. They take so many online orders. They have very short hours, 11-2. read more

oh my GOD, expensive but just a fantastic sandwich- worth it! order at the counter and sit wherever while you wait for your food, lots of outdoor seating options and they bring it right back to you- my friend (who lives in the area) is a frequenter and a huge fan. we split the cow-whatever-its-called and a riff off of the hot italian that the gal who tool our order recommended to us! we took ours to eat at a park, but don't wait too long- the bread is soft and fantastic but it's definitely suscpetible to getting soggy if you wait too long cuz those sandwiches are SAUCED UP! read more

Have you ever thought "I wonder what the perfect sandwich would taste like?' I sure have AND I know where you can get it. Valentines Deli. Go today and order THE RANCH HAND! What an amazing deli! The crew here were some of the nicest, funniest people you could meet it town! We had lunch there the day before we had to fly home and mentioned that it sure would be nice to grad some Sammies for our flight but we had to leave before they opened, the manager overheard us talking and asked what time we had to leave and offered to make us sandwiches before they opened. I called the next morning before they opened and he answered, we ordered 2 more ranch hand sandwiches and he had them ready in 10 minutes!! Thank you so very much for making our flight home that much better! Tell me another place that takes such good care of their customers, Valentines needs 10 stars!! read more

Delicious hot Italian sandwich. One of the best I've had! Definitely recommend to anyone looking for a good sandwich Deli!

Ate there today and it was fast, friendly and very good food... oh yeah, and reasonable for Bend. Do

Delicious sandwiches ! Yum!! Fast and friendly. Just wish there some umbrellas outside.

The best sandwich shop in Bend! It is the only lunch call that will rally everyone in my department to stop what we are working, or place an online order, then take a walk to Valentines for pick up.The staff is wonderful, hard working! Thank you Valentines! read more

Best sandwiches in Bend! Great food, location, staff, and overall vibe. Highly recommend!

The food was about a four of 10. The staff has the absolute worst attitudes I have seen in years. I will never eat here again and will encourage others not to do so. read more

This is the place for a great sandwich and the perfect cup or bowl of soup! Yes indeed! I am so happy I found this wonderful funky deli. I had the 1/2 tuna sandwich and this marvelous soup with green chiles tomatillos pork and hominy! My sandwich was piled high with tuna, bacon, avocado, tomato, lettuce and Tillamok cheddar....and to top it off was served on Sparrow bakery bread! The price was right, the service was great, the food was excellent....These people know how to make a hungry person happy. My friend who was with me ordered the Italian sandwich and was equally pleased, already spreading the word to her friends in eastern oregon (yes we drove 3 hours to get here) that this was where she was going to take them the next time she was in town! PS: Loved the music! read more

Valentine's is located in the Box Factory, which is super convenient for those who work there or shoppers needing a quick bite. They have no non-sandwich deli items, so Valentine's really isn't a deli - more a straight up sandwich shop. Fast casual- order at the counter, food comes to you. - Santa Fe turkey: excellent sandwich; good sourdough; nice mix of ingredients. - Pastrami: OK, but not nearly as good as the Santa Fe. If you love pastrami sandwiches, you'll probably be disappointed with Valentine's version. The bread is the weakest part. No soda fountain; canned/bottled drinks only. Nice folks, reasonable prices, good seating (including sidewalk tables), relatively quiet ambiance (they play music but it's not terribly annoying). A-OK. read more
