The online process worked great, I picked 10 sandwiches cut in half and I picked 3 different types. Saturday morning, the food was ready on time and packed neatly into earth-friendly boxes. The groomsmen all enjoyed them, they all got eaten, bread was fresh, they held together thru the early afternoon. Price was in-line with expectations. Service was friendly when I picked them up. I immediately called the store and was told the manager would call me the next day to credit my account. No call. You know I never leave reviews but I just had to this time. I've been a fan of Schlotzsky's for over 10 years now. They make tasty sandwiches. However, I will say that in the last 10 years I've been coming here, 90% of the time they mess the order up. This last time I went I asked for no tomato and got tomatoes and I asked for BBQ chips but got original. It even says BBQ chips on the receipt. The incompetence of this place baffles me. I understand messing it up once in a blue moon. It happens. But nearly every time I order, something is wrong. I haven't been going here very often in the last few years but every time I go I'm reminded why I don't go more often. It's very frustrating. Ruben was really NOT a Ruben. Meat seemed as if it had been hanging around a bit too long. Sauerkraut was bland and soggy. Cheese was some sort of white processed cheese, not Swiss. Dressing tasted like generic "fry sauce" and not Thousand Island. Bread was dry and crisp on one side, soft and papery on the other. Pickle was canned pickle spear, nothing resembling a Kosher pickle. Add to that a cashier who barely communicated even when asked a question. Went Monday the 21st about 4:30 pm with my boyfriend. we shared a turkey avocado sandwich and we both got broccoli cheddar soup about 2 hours after we ate my boyfriend started throwing up and about 2 hours after that I stayed up all night throwing up. You know Schlotzsky's has been one of mine and my wife's favorite sandwich shops for years - we would always try to find one wherever we were at. We visited the Plano location at US 75 & Spring Creek and the Murphy, Tx ones most often. I went to the Murphy one tonight and that will be my LAST visit to a Schlotzsky's !!!!! We were disappointed a few months ago when we went through the drive tru and they told us they no longer had wheat bread, so we moved our selection to the Jalapeno bread, but tonight I pulled in and order a small original on that bread and was told they no longer carried that bread and I asked them what breads they had and the young gentleman said soughdough, and I said I knew they carried that one, but what other ones, and he repeated soughdough. I said is soughdough the ONLY one you carry and he laughed and said yes. So I order a small original on soughdough and a smoked turkey on soughdough. I got to the window and he was laughing and said were you surprised, and I said yes. He said I have worked here for 5 years and I can't believe it either, we used to carry soughdough, wheat, rye, Jalapeno, and would ALWAYS carry a special bread of the month - now ALL WE DO IS SOUGHDOUGH. I said I bet they jacked up the prices too didn't they, he sure they did, just wait until I tell you how much 2 small sandwiches are going to cost you and when he said over $16.00 I nearly had heart attack !!!!! This spot didn't skimp on the ingredients and the reuben was packed, and served on some really good rye. My gf got the turkey blt and same thing, packed with ingredients and flavor. Why the five stars? Because the food was great for what is the typical meal price these days and I don't have a reason to knock them down to three or four stars (unless I really cared about getting extra mustard packets). I do like Schlotsky's a fair amount, they have high calorie food and you can enjoy every calorie filled bite without regret due to the abundance in taste. In my year and a half in Bend, I dined here about every couple of months, stopping in for a quick lunch on the go for the most part. The place was usually pretty clean, the food fresh and I never had a bad experience with staff here. They were pretty consistent in service, taking care of you with a genuine desire to make your experience as good as it possibly can be. I got hooked on it in the early 2000's and then poof* it was gone. I was giddy when I was yelping to look for food and saw this. Fresh brewed iced teas instead of that horrible tea out of a box that most fast food places have. Download the App and get a free small sandwich! Place was large and clean but air conditioning was out of order. They also have a drive through windows. The bad news....Hispanic manager in filthy shirt hates his job and is incredibly rude. Schlotzsky's is basically the definition of a quick grab. My meal was the Pepperoni and Two Cheese Pizza. The bread is very thick, so naturally, I couldn't really finish it even though it's this tiny pizza. I also had a Cinnabon bowl of sorts, which tasted a-freaking-mazing. The pizza was, as I said, very thick. The bread was somewhat cheesy in a way. The pizza itself lacked a key element. Flavor. It was kinda sad to eat a flavorless pizza. The most flavorful part of it was the cheese sprinkled on top, which wasn't super appetizing. The Cinnabon. I know you're probably thinking "Oh come on Van! What the fork is wrong with Cinnabon!" The answer... nothing! Cinnabon always brightens up everything. I almost didn't dislike the pizza after a thing of Cinnabon. Always creamy and thick in a way that makes your stomach do a happy dance. The bowl I had looked like a Cinnabon dropped through a shredder, making it go down easier. Next up, drinks! Schlotzsky's has those giant Coke machines you see at Five Guys, dispensing everything from Cherry Vanilla Coke to some cold Mello Yello. Pretty satisfied with the choice of drink there to where nothing I say can add to it. Last, service. The servers are super nice and helpful. Bringing food with a smile is always something I look forward to. Seeing the happy smile on my servers face made me like my food even more. The front counters always get everything done quick and easy, making life easier in a way. They hang up little circles to show who made what and I think that's pretty cool, giving recognition to the people who get paid to fill your stomach. All in all, I was pretty satisfied with my meal. Food, service, drinks, ambience, everything a great restaurant needs is embodied in Schlotzsky's restaurant. Just, word to the wise, get a sandwich. read more

It is combined with Cinnabon, which I was able to resist (but barely). This location suffers from poor management. The place was clean (except the trash on the floor) and the food is good but the employees were leaderless. There was an issue with an order on the register, so one of the employees cleared it out and gave away the food. It took longer to order than to actually get my food, so something is going well. The employee that assisted me was running back and forth doing her best and if I had another job to offer her I would have poached her on the spot. The employees on shift seemed to be doing their best and frankly they and us customers deserve better. Last time I went through the drive thru and the speaker box was not working that well. Well maybe I'm nitpicking here but there are a few sandwiches that are designed a specific way that should NEVER be altered. One in particular, the Reuben. For some insane reason Schlotzkies chooses sour dough over rye. Why on GOD's green earth? It was a fair sandwich by all means, but when you are craving something as specific as a Reuben such a change results in great disappointment.
