We came on by for lunch on our way out of town and were very happy we did! The place is near downtown and was a quick five minute drive from the highway. This was the best sandwich I've had in months and by far the best on the trip. Planker Sandwiches is in downtown Bend. It's a tiny spot with a handful of tables inside, a couple outside, and the counter to order. The menu is big and easy to understand on the right. Various sauces are at the water station, plus other bottled drinks. Prices are super reasonable for the quality, freshness, and portion sizes. Simply, this is an amazing spot for lunch. I had the tuna sandwich with bacon, lettuce, tomato. The sandwiches take a little bit of time do to being made to order; the toasted bread with crispy and soft at the same time. We enjoyed every bite on one of the sidewalk tables. My only complaint was we didn't have time to return; here's hoping for next time! read more
