My boyfriend and I were looking for a bite to eat in bend after a hike and this place was close by so we went and it did not disappoint! Such a cute really delicious sandwich shop. The chicken salad was messy but really good and I loved that it had apples in it. (17$) The other sandwiches also sounded really good it was hard to decide what to order. My boyfriend liked his grilled cheese which also had the option to add tomato soup. Food came out quickly even though it was busy. Expensive but worth it.

We came on by for lunch on our way out of town and were very happy we did! The place is near downtown and was a quick five minute drive from the highway. There's not a ton of parking nearby, so we ended up about a block away and walked on back. It was a nice day, so we didn't mind it! [[HIGHLIGHT]]The place is not super large. There's seating for maybe 15 or 20 people and a bar that runs the length of a restaurant, that people can belly up to.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Sandwiches are obviously their specialty, and they do them very well! Since it was around time for brunch, my eight year-old son and I split a Planker breakfast sandwich. Delicious and Huge are what came to mind. Two ways pig (Ham and bacon), dual fried eggs, a delicious homemade Kaiser roll, some fixins a blanket of white cheddar does a happy boy Matt make! Half was more than enough for me and it was Fla-vor-ful! The pork belly sandwich and chicken salad Cobb were less pretty, but equally tasty! Prices were about where we expected them and the guys working here were top notch. Genuinely friendly dudes who seemed to be liking what they're doing. Keep it up gents, it's refreshing!

We arrived to find a line, but it moved quickly--only about six minutes to reach the counter. The staff were friendly and attentive throughout our visit. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The atmosphere was a bit noisy, though not overwhelmingly so.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]The dining area was fairly clean, with no unpleasant odors.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] We ordered the roast tri-tip sandwich, the pulled pork sandwich, and a grilled cheese. All three were flavorful and satisfying. Prices are on the higher side, but that seems to be the norm these days

The food was tasty. But it was way too expensive. No way a sandwich chips and a drink should cost $35. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Great location sure.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] But outlandish pricing

Best sandwiches in Bend! This BLTA is incredible. Huge thanks to Dylan for the extra bacon--well done, gang!

Bend, OR [[HIGHLIGHT]]Small but quaint.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Great menu boards with selection of sandwiches. Bottle drinks and the water comes from igloo cooler. Ordered grilled cheese panini with tomato soup. The sandwich is piping, hot and grilled perfectly. You know it's done well when the cheese pulls from the sandwich. The tomato soup is definitely homemade with small chunks of tomato. Great flavor, thick. Might be a bit too heavy on the oregano today, but with that said, I really like it.

One day for lunch, a friend was craving an epic sandwich. Thanks to others' reviews, we came to Planker Sandwiches and got just what we wanted! This was the best sandwich I've had in months and by far the best on the trip. Planker Sandwiches is in downtown Bend. It's a tiny spot with a handful of tables inside, a couple outside, and the counter to order. The menu is big and easy to understand on the right. Various sauces are at the water station, plus other bottled drinks. Prices are super reasonable for the quality, freshness, and portion sizes. Simply, this is an amazing spot for lunch. I had the tuna sandwich with bacon, lettuce, tomato. The sandwiches take a little bit of time do to being made to order; the toasted bread with crispy and soft at the same time. We enjoyed every bite on one of the sidewalk tables. My only complaint was we didn't have time to return; here's hoping for next time!

Chicken Salad Sandwich with Tomato & Basil Soup - Cup

Service was so good for such a small, casual place like this! Honestly had a hard time picking what to order as so many things sounded good. I went with the chicken salad sandwich and had no regrets! Ingredients all seemed so fresh and it was delicious! Also really enjoyed the soup. This is absolutely a place I could see myself going more often if it was closer to me.

It was so good we came back the next day for another round! I got the roasted turkey and my husband got the tri tip the first day and those were definitely our favorites. The next day we tried the meatball and the Cuban - while both were tasty they weren't nearly as good as the other two in our opinion. The Cuban definitely had way too many pickles but was still good. The staff was also friendly and quick service. A must have when visiting Bend.

Came in for lunch due to the Yelp reviews. Small space for indoor seating but it was pretty busy at 1pm. I got the meatball with the recommended peppers and it was a tasty sandwich. Meatballs themselves were delicious and the whole sandwich was excellent. They serve Mexican cokes and chips as well. Lots of people seemed to order the meatball when I was there, not sure if it was a coincidence or it's a staple. Sandwich itself was ~$15.

I was in town for 4 days and ate there 3 times, breakfast, lunch and dinner!! It's a must period. One thing that was very inconvenient. You have to order at the counter and there's only one person. For breakfast the line was out the door with a 45 min wait just to order, and most of all the tables were empty. In other words, it makes no sense to have one register with all the tables they have. People are obviously eating fast then ordering your food. It's like have 1 waitress to take orders. They must either have waitresses or multiple registers to order. One order at a time and mist of them are large groups which makes it even harder to order. Everyone is adding food to there orders at the counter because that's when you see all the amazing backed goods, but it is way to time consuming. They can triple their sales easily!! You can also customize your meal as needed. To order, you stand in line like at a food court counter, but in a fancy way. While we were there, the line stretched to the door most of the time but it moves fast. This is the time you use to choose your bottle of wine, pick food, and browse the pastries on display. There were several places to sit indoors and out after placing the order. The kids hade the garlic bites (fried balls of bread with garlic and cheese...looked like doughnut holes!) and a pizza. They can add pepperoni to a cheese pizza for the particular children in your life. My husband and I shared a Cobb salad, no croutons to make it gf (the lemon dill dressing was AMAZING! Actually, this whole salad was very good). We also intended to share the NY strip with chimichurri. However, we didn't read that it comes with bread and a side salad (great!) and roasted vegetables in romesco sauce (also great!). My husband is allergic to nuts and so he couldn't eat any. That is not a complaint...all on us! The menu is clearly marked. But be aware if you have a nut allergy to specify that you can't have the romesco sauce. Or let the order taker know, as they are informed on modifications and whatnot. So he ate the salad and done pizza. I ate most of the steak and veggies. Everything tasted really good. The steak was a bit gristly. But the chimichurri was great. My absolute favorite thing was the elote cake with tajin buttercream. It was not a sweet cake. But it was heavenly. I should have grabbed another piece before we left. It was creative and salty and delicious and I still want it two days later. Service was great. Food is brought out as it's ready, not all at once. And the side salad and bread is brought before the main dish. The people were friendly and helpful. This was a great place and I would definitely go back.
