Placed order tonight at 8:46. Received a call at 8:51 and the employee told me that they would have to void my order since the only driver working tonight won't be back in time. I said "that's okay, can I just come pick it up?" (I live 5 minutes away) He responded by saying "well we close in 10 minutes." I asked him "isn't Jimmy Johns supposed to be open 10 minutes past close?" He didn't have an answer so I said "Go ahead and cancel it." I am really impressed with the way Jimmy John's has kept the quality consistently high and the service fast and friendly throughout the multitude of franchised restaurants. I have eaten at a dozen different locations, and fast, courteous and cheerful service is the rule, and this location (#2672) is no exception. Did I say fast service? I mean Freaky Fast! I walked in at noon on Friday, and the place was packed. There were eight people ahead of me, one order taker (great job, great smile, Raven!), and both sandwich lines were running full steam (one line dedicated to take-out, one to walk-ins). The guy in front of me had six sandwiches. I walked out with my full, correct order in nine minutes. NINE MINUTES! As I was leaving, there were another eight people in line, and more on the way in. I was impressed with this store's teamwork and their "can-do" attitude! Which wouldn't matter at all, if their made-to-order sandwiches weren't great. What's not to love? Fresh rolls and bread, meats and veggies. Bottomless beverages. Kettle-style chips ($1.25), excellent cookies (they have a couple of different kinds, my favorite is the Triple Chocolate Chunk / $1.50) and really fabulous "half-sour" pickles. Tremendous! I love (and usually get) the Country Club, #11, on 7-grain bread. My wife recommends the Billy Club, #8, on 7-grain bread, or the Club Tuna, #15, on 7-grain bread. I don't know how they do it. We walked in for lunch today and got our sandwiches almost before we paid. They didn't have a line, and the only reason I can think of for this is that they make these sandwiches so darned quick. There were plenty of people coming and going as well as a steady stream of delivery orders headed out the door. As for the food, it's good. Is it the best sandwich I've ever had? No (East Side Deli, I'm looking at you). However, when you combine cost/taste/quickness of service, it's probably the best overall experience I've had. My wife & I purchased take away sandwiches from Jimmy John's on Tuesday 29 November. We were flying back to SFO and wanted something that would travel well on the trip home. My wife ordered the #10 Hunter's Club - roast beef and I opted for the #9 Italian Night Club - mixed deli meats, sadly I did not notice I could have add hot peppers until writing this review. Four employees standing around tell us they are closed and refused to serve us. We had a party of 6 and would have been happy to take our order to go, but they flat out refused us service. Well, after ordering 31 sandwiches, & having them delivered, I was told (by one of Redmond's manager's) that we weren't in their delivery area! Needless to say, I'm very mad! Unbelievable! Has to be the most crappy customer service relations! Not only was I a frequent customer but I always tipped 20%, and none of it mattered! He was concerned about the possibility of "being docked" (for delivering outside of the designated delivery zone) and losing the ability to open his own store. It is ridiculous that this location has a 1 mile delivery radius. This makes all the commercials that boast not only of freaky fast delivery, but delivery at all a false advertisement. Jimmy Johns has lost my business at this location as well as the location I have utilized in the past in Bend for my work. Finally got around to tryng this place. Subway's got NOTHING to worry about. It may be fast but the sandwich was pathetic. Mostly bread roll and a skinny one at that. Stale. My French roll was so over-baked or over-held I could knock on the top crust and hear my knuckles hitting the it! The #14 was boring and we had to go in search of a napkin or two, only to have to ask for them and only then was a stack of them set out on the counter. We were the only ones in the dining room on an early Saturday night. Sad. And there must have been 5-6 staff running through the place...
