This time was with a group of friends that are regulars at El Caporal. As expected the staff was very friendly and the service was excellent. My disappointment was the food. I ordered a chorizo burrito. It came as a wet burrito with rice and beans. I was expecting a nice spicy burrito; however, the chorizo was bland. Because our friends are regulars at El Caporal, we will probably return and give the restaurant a second chance to impress.

Chicken fajitas and enchiladas with red sauce were ordered. The salsa and chips were spicier than most, which is how we like it anyways. On September 17th my family of four traveled from Madras to celebrate my birthday at your restaurant in Bend. It was the middle of the week and not very busy on a Thursday evening. We got seated right away, but as soon as we were seated the waiter came to our table and when we had questions he didn't answer in a very friendly manner. Then the ordering happened. It started with my son ordering a shirley temple and being brought a starry. When we asked for the correct drink again the waiter wasn't very happy to fix the mistake. It only got worse. We ordered our food. My daughter ordered a plain burrito, beans and cheese only, no sauce. It came out covered in sauce. We told her the waiter didn't seem very willing to help so to just eat it as was. We didn't complain. Then my son ordered a steak burrito with no tomatoes. It came out covered in tomatoes. Again we told him to just pick them off. Then I ordered a chicken burrito. I took three bites and only got beans. I asked my daughter if her burrito had chicken, maybe they mixed up our meals, nope only beans in hers too. I told my husband I didn't see any chicken in my burrito. He told me to look on the other side, maybe there was only chicken on one side. Nope. I finally sliced the burrito down the middle and still only found beans. So my husband called over the waiter and explained the issue. He rudely grabbed my plate and took it to the back. He came back to tell us they were remaking it and I asked for it to go since my family was already done eating at this point. He was visibly angry, but went back and did it. Then came back and very loudly told the people behind us he was so sorry for the inconvenience. NEVER did he tell us he was sorry for the mistakes we did bring up and we only brought up 2 of the 4. Our bill came and there was NO compensation for the wrong meal, that I didn't even get to enjoy with my family. No apology, no nothing. We headed home and my daughter was upset. I told her it was fine. Then she informed us that she had tried to talk to the waiter on her way to the restroom to tell him it was my birthday so it could be celebrated and he put his hand up and told her not to talk to him. This was our first time at your restaurant, it wasn't a busy night, and we were treated like complete garbage. I was so disappointed that we traveled so far just to get the service we got.

The young lady with the long brown hair who took the order and prepared food-that interaction was a one. She barely spoke to us while she chatted away to coworkers. Wasn't pleasant at all. The young lady who cooked the pizza was pleasant. When I looked for sugar, there was artificial sweetener only. I asked the first young lady, who was getting a drink, if there was sugar. She asked the other person and walked away without answering or saying I'll look in the back or anything. The other person cooking responded sorry. You can't drink lemonade without sugar. Don't ever go here to eat inside unless you're a young guy. They got her complete attention and lots of convo.

Whether the shop is empty or slammed on a Friday night, the quality never dips. The crust is always perfect, the toppings are balanced, and most importantly--he gets it right. I've had my fair share of messed-up orders elsewhere, but Peter has that attention to detail that you just can't teach. Honestly, as long as he's behind the counter, I'm not going to anybody else.

The service was excellent & so many good menu choices! Fairly typical decor but very clean tables & nice music too! Again, this is a fast food restaurant, so it more than met the standard. The girls ordered carne asada fries & a carnitas torta. Both were good size portions & were tasty! My lengua burrito-served enchilada style- was excellent! Big chunks of tender meat & delicious sauce made it a burrito worth ordering again. We also enjoyed the salsa bar & their zanahorias en escabeche (Mexican carrots with jalapeño & onion) were some of the best we've tried. So if you find yourself in Redmond wanting a quick Mexican meal, La Posada is the place to go! Mangiamamma gives it

She was a huge fan! I brought her back two more times before she went home which was definitely not in my bingo card for her visit. Lucy's is unassuming. It's not some fine dining restaurant. There's a counter where you order your food and they call out your order when it's ready. What you can't see from the street is the salsa bar. Holy smokes it's fresh and delicious. They have all the condiments you'd expect from traditional Mexican street foods and hot chips just sitting there. The fish tacos my mom had? They were delicious! I ordered her two thinking they were tiny. No, they were huge so I had to eat one for her. Poor me! I've had the asada on multiple occasions and it's delicious every time. For the money, the portions are huge. You definitely get your money's worth. From what I can tell, there's usually only one person manning the grill and she pumps out food so hot and delicious all the time. They even serve menduo (Mexican hangover stew) which a lot of places in LA only do on weekends. I can't say good enough things about Lucy's. It's what I think of when anyone ask about authentic Mexican cuisine in Bend.
