I had a three piece chicken meal. The chicken was good (boneless) and freshly cooked. it was juicy and cooked perfectly. I enjoyed not having bones and the pieces were large. It came with cold slaw, fries and two sauce choices, I chose buffalo and ranch. I found the cold slaw bland, maybe it didn't have enough dressing. The fries were good. Even though the place was packed I didn't have to wait long for my food. I don't think they have been open long. They had plenty of help which is nice these days and the workers were friendly. There are a few tables to eat inside but I took mine home. It's a casual atmosphere and a little step up from fast food. Parking is limited but there are larger lots a short walk away. We had lunch at the Chicken Shanty and two of us split the Mr. Krab sandwich that came with a mountain of very good French fries and a drink for $14.99. It was very filling for both of us and we had a large amount of fries left. They gave us a refill on the strawberry lemonade. It was a nice gesture and a great alternative to a soda pop.
