There's both indoor and outdoor seating; we sat outside. The sidewalk is a little uneven, but it didn't impact our experience. The staff member who took our order and brought out the food was friendly, professional, and helpful. The service moved at a nice pace, with the order taken promptly and the food delivered in good time. The fried chicken sandwich was solid. I went with a moderate heat level for the sauce and probably could have kicked it up a notch or two. The waffle fries, referred to as "sidewinders," were a bit of a mystery in name, but they were good fries. Overall, the food was tasty and neatly presented. Decently good fried chicken sandwiches. The chicken is fresh, the spice is on point, the slaw is decent, but the sandwiches are a bit one dimensional. A great Nashville style fried chicken sandwich is a balance, a harmony between the spice from the cayenne, the acidity from pickles, and a hint of sweetness to round it out. These felt a bit one-dimensional, and the slaw didn't really bring balance to the spice. The sidewinder fries are absolutely S-tier, and I very strongly recommend these if you are here. Overall, not bad given the alternatives in Bend, but fairly average compared to the fried chicken wars in the rest of the country. read more

OK, this place is crazy good... going back and trying to make sure I reviewed all my check ins and see that I gloss over this one. Every once in a while, you get a place that just hits when it comes to chicken. Now, like most of you know chicken breast is the most plain dry cut of meat you could possibly get. So really when you get to a good place that knows how to fry it up right soak in all that moisture. You didn't think it had and give it that perfect crust and spice it to perfection. Now I hate to judge a book by its cover, but let's be honest that's why you give books covers. In this case you can see it so blatantly a good chicken sandwich from a mile away. I like to go around these busy areas and kind of just pee around and look at people's food and see what visually is happening. The same way with the coffee shop you can look at pictures of their drink drinks and know about 90% certainty, but it's gonna be good or not Here was a no braider it tasted exactly how you might think and with all that said it was a banger of a sandwich. It's hard to spend this much on a sandwich these days and I really advocate for places like Dave's Hot Chicken and Chick-fil-A that can just put out a great sandwich for a lower price, but I know that amazing sandwiches usually come at a higher price. With all that sad and all that context put in there this place is good and if you're one of those people comfortable paying normal sandwich prices for sandwiches you're gonna absolutely love this place read more

Best wings in Bend Oregon. I tried them at several breweries and this place tops them all. Food came out with in 15 minutes, waiter brought me side of cheese for my fries. Good company at the bar and some cool celebrity mug shots on the wall. Large beer selection too on tap. read more

My wife and I have enjoyed the sandwiches at Wonderland Chicken for several years. The quality of the sandwich today was good. I believe that the size of the sandwich has been reduced by one third. Also, our sandwich had only a trace rather than a generous helping of coleslaw. read more

Best fried chicken I've ever had Food is amazing- spicy actually means spicy! (Hard to find in vanilla central Oregon...) chicken is tender, perfectly fried, crispy but not thick. The sidewinders are soooo good - highly recommend the dirtbag special if you like spicy get some of the habanero sauce worthy beer is fantastic to cool down with! The owners are so sweet, service is friendly and fun but also fast! Plus you know this isn't a place that tolerates bigots, which just adds that extra delicious flavor to it all. The space is a bit small but if it's full or you want to sit outside - get it to go and walk across the parking lot to the park! I was looking forward to having their chicken because they do have good reviews but I was very disappointed in that they only serve brown meat, i.e. legs and thighs and the meat was overly seasoned to the point that all I tasted was the seasoning. Chicken can be one of my favorite meals but I prefer white meat to brown and a thin coat of seasoning would be enough. read more

Fantastic fried chicken sandwich. The service was wonderful and we loved the garlic Parmesan fries. The Nashville sauce is no joke. The heat will be smelled and felt. HOT!!!! Stumbled upon this place while in town for a wrestling tournament. My boy was starving after eating lightly all day for weigh-ins and loves Nashville hot chicken, so we settled on this place for the reward meal of the day. We were pleasantly surprised by some great fried chicken. Great atmosphere inside Worthy Brewing's tap room and friendly owners to boot. We both decided that their fried pickles were perhaps the best we'd ever had. Very happy to come across this place. We will be back the next time we're in town! read more

Went for the first time today and fell in love with the menu! We both got the spicy chicken sandwich. I got the shoestring french fries and was so happy that was an option because most places don't have them! Also love that I could've chose man n cheese because who doesn't love mac n cheese! I got the habanero spice level and it was perfect. I love spicy where my mouth is on fire so will probably level up next time! So many things I want to try, so we will definitely be back. read more

I cook and owned a Resteraunt and I have to say my Mac and chicken was terrible. The supposable 3 cheese Mac was dry and half was cold . Creamy favorable sauce did not present itself . I have question if they added salt to the water or the cheese sauce . The Chicken was deep fried so much that it was hard to cut and chew . One has to wonder when they changed out the oil the chicken came out so dark which is a sign of old oil. It was serve with a hot sauce , which was good and the fact they put a little sweetness to it to accommodated the heat was a good factor . I have been in the food service for over 53 years so I have some validity to my statement worse lunch ever . I never except. And discount but I was surprised they didn't try to accommodate my unhappy experience. Just because it's hot doesn't mean it's southern food, whoever told you that southern food was to be burnt lied to you. It's called soul food for a reason. This was soulless and tasteless. Southern style sweet tea is extremely sweet. Your tea is extremely weak. Mac n cheez with no cheese and all noodle this was very sad and a waste for what was paid for it! Very disappointing!
