The space is beautiful with high ceilings and a comfortable bar, and it's an easy place to sit and eat or work for a bit if it's not too busy. The OG burger with extra cheese is my go-to and never disappoints. The downtown expansion is a great addition, and overall it's a top spot that's worth visiting if you're in Bend. read more

Americana has a reputation in Bend (and apparently Portland) for offering great smashburgers out of their food truck at The Podski lot. I've had their burger there and agree, it's a good smashburger. This is my first visit to their brick & mortar outlet on Bond Street next to the still incredibly popular Ken's Artisan Pizza. This is a fast casual restaurant. Order at the counter, get a number and take a seat. Food is delivered. Your table will be bussed after you leave. If you want beer, check out the board on the wall to your right while standing at the counter. - Retro burger: excellent taste and preparation. Not a huge burger so you might want two or maybe add an extra patty. - Fries: these are solid fries. A small order is enough for me. Americana has a old diner feel. Think the counter at a small town drug store. If you're looking for a sit-down joint to quaff a few beers with your burger while watching your favorite sporting team on the telly, this ain't it. There are, in fact, no TVs at Americana. Go across to Deschutes Brewery for that (No, do. Deschutes is a fine brewpub.) Good service in the Bend-friendly style. Recommended. read more

Friendly, soft-spoken dude working the cash register. Nice about my daughter's extreme indecisiveness. You then can move over to the bar and watch them make your food (assuming it's not too crowded for that of course). And the food was really good! My kids each got OGs and loved them. The fries are a great texture. And I got a gluten-free sloppy goat- they are generous with the goat cheese and it goes so well with the sweet bacon-date jam! read more

They bring you your order but you do need to grab your own water. We had a double and a single cheeseburger and fries and there were 0 disappointments. Well smashed, crispy but not too crispy on the side, not so greasy the buns get soaked or the patty slips, and the fries were crispy. Smash burgers as good as ones I can get in Los Angeles...which is pretty darn good since the smash burger scene is super competitive in LA. I'm glad they opened this cute store location with more burger options since it beats eating at their food truck outdoors in the summer heat! The patties are nice and thin, burger buns are soft, and the toppings are unique that really round out the burger well. It is actually quite affordable for a double patty! Service was friendly and there was a bunch of booths inside with clean bathrooms. This place was one of our favorite meals in Bend! read more

So glad we stopped at their restaurant location since the fires up north were really pushing the smoke into Bend and their food truck location would have been too difficult. We found feee street parking and walked in to a very busy place at 2 pm. I ordered the cowboy, the popper, and the OG. We ordered two regular fries but their loaded fries also were good! I liked the popper better than my cowboy because the fried onion rings, BBQ sauce and bacon made the burger feel overly greasy and it needed something to help lighten or break up the heaviness. This burger is a good option for those who don't want too many vegetables and a touch of sweet BBQ sauce. The popper burger had some amazing pickled jalapeños that really made that burger taste good. The french fries were very delicious because they were crunchy and soft and fluffy and went great with the fry sauce. If you love ranch, make sure you try out their ranch dipping sauce. Service was interesting. Didn't get a really friendly vibe except for one of the guys which could have been a manager or owner. read more

GOAT is definitely the correct name for this delicious, packed with so much flavor, softest buns I have put my fingers around, smashed beef that had so much flavor and then "kissed" with the goat cheese! The only correct girl to invite to this party was her friend the golden to perfection French fry! The fries were beautiful fried and had a slight outer crunch while the inside was soft and hot, the oil bath they had was clean and showed! The fry sauce was a nice contrast to their golden partner. I opted in for the Sloppy Goat and small fry. Loved the esthetics of the place and we didn't have to wait long. The burger was outstanding, the soft bread hugged the smashed patties and I was in heaven!! I'm new to the area and this place hit the spot!! I will definitely be coming back! We had an extremely disappointing experience at this restaurant, largely due to the unprofessional behavior of the manager, Eric. When I asked how long the wait was for a table for my wife and kids, he dismissed my question with a rude and dismissive attitude, insisting that we needed to order first without any courtesy and acting like a i asked a stupid question. Once I found out he was the manager, I approached him to express my concerns about his disrespectful manner. Instead of apologizing, he told me to get out and yelled he couldn't care less about my complaint. (Oooh im scared.....) were his exact words hen i stated i would file a complaint. He first refused to give me his name then started yelling at me. It was crazy how fast his childish behavior grew and it was completely unacceptable for someone in his position. I think this is just the trendy new place possibly. Not sure how these places get such good reviews otherwise. But I do see there an only 7 actual reviews here. We were very disappointed. Went in on a recommendation so didn't look to see that the 5 star review was only 7 reviews. As one of the reviewers notes the first thing we felt was the odd vibe. The manager, owner seemed to only give the time of day to possibly regulars. I was served the smallest root beer float I have ever gotten. In fact my child size at A&W back in the day was bigger than this. I kid you not, less than a spoon of soft serve in a small cup of root beer that was not even 3/4 of the cup after the head was gone. Then came the burgers. Not tasty. We have been to several smash burger places and this was gross. In fact I left feeling sick to my stomach. Actually spent the rest of the day not being able to get far from the bathroom. Sorry for the TMI We will go back to our favorite burger place in Bend so far Bend Burger Co. friendly people and have never left feeling sick. read more

We tried out this new burger joint in Bend off of Bond. They have GREAT burgers and it's only $8 bucks. $3.00 fries and a $6 dollar beer. Very clean and the service was top notch. It's our new burger place. Next night we went to Mountain burger in Northwest Crossing since that is where our friends wanted to go. Just a plain cheese burger is $18.00 and a glass of wine was $15.00. The burgers were good but not worth the price. The food was absolutely wonderul and the atmosphere as well. During and after eating my girlfriend and I couldn't help but notice the incredible kitchen staff. The lead chef Chris was absolutely incredible. Chris had so much going on we were blown away. The restaurant was very busy but it didn't feel like it at all.
