The OG. Close-up of those lacy edges
Josh G.

New location, same quality as Podski! There are a few smashburgers in town that I think are arguably as good as Americana, but there's something about their burger that makes it stand out, whether it's the lacy edges on the meat, the seasoning, or the shredded lettuce, it just stands out as a really well-made burger. Fries are nothing special but are always hot and well-seasoned too. The newly renno'd space is pretty cool, with a relaxed vibe.

I made the mistake of ordering the "Sloppy Goat" two weeks ago, and it's been on my mind more often than I'd like to admit -- back again today to satisfy my craving! Service with a smile, nice ambiance, quick even when busy. Local gem here in Bend :)

Friendly, soft-spoken dude working the cash register. Nice about my daughter's extreme indecisiveness. You then can move over to the bar and watch them make your food (assuming it's not too crowded for that of course). And the food was really good! My kids each got OGs and loved them. The fries are a great texture. And I got a gluten-free sloppy goat- they are generous with the goat cheese and it goes so well with the sweet bacon-date jam!

OG Burger & large fries

This place was great! The food was amazing! Best smash burger we've ever had and not greasy. It was clean and we were greeted by friendly staff-fun to sit at the counter to watch the food being prepared. We will definitely go back, need to try all the burgers.

So glad we stopped at their restaurant location since the fires up north were really pushing the smoke into Bend and their food truck location would have been too difficult. We found feee street parking and walked in to a very busy place at 2 pm. I ordered the cowboy, the popper, and the OG. We ordered two regular fries but their loaded fries also were good! I liked the popper better than my cowboy because the fried onion rings, BBQ sauce and bacon made the burger feel overly greasy and it needed something to help lighten or break up the heaviness. This burger is a good option for those who don't want too many vegetables and a touch of sweet BBQ sauce. The popper burger had some amazing pickled jalapeños that really made that burger taste good. The french fries were very delicious because they were crunchy and soft and fluffy and went great with the fry sauce. If you love ranch, make sure you try out their ranch dipping sauce. Service was interesting. Didn't get a really friendly vibe except for one of the guys which could have been a manager or owner.

While I'm not really a fan of their order ahead of seating workflow, everything else is great. Ordered the bacon blu burger and fries. Absolutely spectacular burger! Definitely worth stopping by for a burger if you find yourself in town.

I had to come to the original Deschutes!…read more Came in on a Saturday midday for a beer and snack. Easily sat at the bar. Cool vibe to the original brewery! Enjoyed the Fresh Haze IPA. The bartender let me try two but that was my preference. The pretzel was delicious. I'm not a huge beer cheese fan but it was hot and delicious with the mustard around the outside. We were curious about the cask beer which apparently is warm (or room temperature) and flat- not what you look for normally in a beer! The nice bartender let us try it just out of curiosity- not for me! I'd come back to try lunch or dinner.

Yay! It was the best veggie burger my husband has had in a long time... he added avocado and vegan cheese (which did make it a bit pricey). Awesome that you can do many different sides including regular fries, Cajun fries, salad, chips, and more options... do wish they had onion rings however. I got the hummus plate which was good but not the best I've had. It came with a baguette which was more like garlic bread so I would have, personally, liked pita more. It also had a few olives on the side with a red pepper type sauce. I got it with no pickled onions. They had a great beer selection and even a few tasty non-alcoholic beers. Also had kombucha on tap which was delicious (from Humm). Everyone working was super sweet and the vibes were relaxed and casual. Our food came out quick and exactly how we ordered it. They also seemed to have spaces for larger parties, too. They also have a little gift shop if you wanted to pick anything from shirts, to bottle openers, to beer candles and more! Would come back again!

Wagyu…read moreis currently parked at the Spider City brewery. - Regular burger with cheese: pretty good although maybe not their best offering (that's probably the smashburger). Meat was well prepared but needed more seasoning. Bun was dry. Overall, OK but not gonna take top burger honors in Bend. - Garlic fries are tasty. Maybe a bit underdone. Along with the cow burgers, Wagyu offers a black bean burger for the vegetarians. We didn't try it as black bean really doesn't make for a good burger in our experience. Most places now offer either an Impossible or Beyond burger as their vegetarian option. I'd recommend Wagyu do the same.

The bun was delicious and toasty and the sauce that was on it was like a pickled aïoli sauce that did not overpower the burger but was just right. The fries and the sauce are good and not greasy. I look forward to coming back and trying their other options with different toppings. There was a nice looking mushroom and Swiss cheese burger I will probably get. Was actually surprised that there are not more reviews! I can imagine this place getting quite popular over the summer months due to the quality of food, cozy atmosphere, and the brewery that is quite spacious and welcoming.
