As a celiac, I made so that they have a dedicated fryer for their fries/tater tots, and they did, so naturally I had to get those. I decided on the sweet potato tots and they were just delectable. I was also craving something fresh, so I got the BBQ Chicken bacon ranch salad. Perfect meal after driving for hours on end. We even came back the next day and I got the exact same meal. The servers were also very patient and knowledgeable. I don't live anywhere near here, but whenever I come back to the area I'll be sure to return to this restaurant.

Once you step inside you are transported to a killer brew pub dimension. The place was moderately busy for 1:30 on a Wednesday and we were immediately greeted by the bartender. We analyzed the tap list and narrowed it down quickly to the 3 IPAs brewed by these guys. We ended up trying all 3 and overall I would give the beer an 8 out of 10. I love a Boneyard RPM or Ft. George 3-way. I have been away from Oregon Craft for about a year so I am a little off my game but I didn't leave a drop in those pint glasses. We both ordered the smash burger and fries with some jalapeño aioli sauce. The fries were maybe the best fries I've ever had. I literally put my head down and chowed through them all before realizing I had a burger too. Smash burger is true to form dressed with melted cheese, bacon, lettuce and tomato. The bun had been fried in magic sauce to a crispy texture before they built the burger. We were blown away at how good it was!! We went to Sunriver Brewing on Wednesday night and think Initiative won our personal award for that day!! Highly recommend you check it out and I want to go again before I have to leave town!!

ROUX - Touché Davide ($13) with sausage ($4) - Delicious. The pasta is creamy, the sausage is pleasantly spicy. Good portion size too.

Stupefyingly he did not know what a Cajun was. After I repeated the question of who is influencing the food, he guessed it was his boss. Drove to Redmond and tried it anyway. Ordered the fried oysters and the peel and eat shrimp and crawfish. $30 Food came up quickly. Here's the review : I'll start with a good. Six decent size shrimp. Freshly boiled. Tender. Good spice. Next were the oyster niblets. 10 of them. Ok. Looked like they were prepared by Sysco in a factory in Wisconsin. Decent but not great. Dipping sauce was good. Saved the day. Six juvenile crawfish with no flavor were tough, dry and flavorless. Wife and I each had one and didn't.want any more. We pushed ourselves through another one, but I was offered the last one. I said you couldn't pay me to eat more. Rule of thumb if you work for somebody, you better get some cheerleading training and be excited about both answering the phone and telling people about your place, and your offerings. Rule two: people are not stupid just cause they're a long way away from where good food is prepared and served. At the very least you shouldn't plan on that as a business strategy. $15 should get you a pound and a half if not, 2 pounds of nice spicy hot crawfish with corn and potatoes. If we divide the price of the shrimp and crawfish and half, you should've at least gotten a fair 3/4 lb serving of delightful Mudbugs. And don't tell me you're too far from Louisiana to get fresh crawfish. I do it all the time. These are frozen Chinese crawfish. Recommendation: keep moving. -A Born & Bred Cajun

The food is typical bar fare, but is still delicious with generous portions. If you order anything with fries, I recommend upgrading to the hand cut fries or sweet potato fries.

The 7th Street location in Redmond looks like an older log cabin, with a large patio out front. It's conveniently located to downtown Redmond, easily walkable from other restaurants, bars, and breweries if you're staying nearby. Going inside, I quickly realized this was a friendly local place where people come and the bartender knows your name and order. I ordered two flights on my visit; all the beer was great. They have a number of core staples, plus a bunch of small batch beers you can read about on the chalkboard near the door. The bartender was immediately friendly and welcoming; I said it was my first time there and she told me it's the oldest not-for-profit brewery in Oregon, donating all their post-bill/payroll profits to local charities. I was also here at lunch time and ordered maybe the best tuna melt I've ever had - rich, buttery, and delicious. They have lots of beers packaged to go as well. If you're doing the Bend Ale Trail, this is a fun stop and worth venturing to Redmond for if staying in Bend.
