We made a plan to try the most popular pizza place in Bend on our last trip and it ended up being saved for the last evening, kind of a final celebration. It's a tiny little spot right in Downtown Bend. And it was busy! Every little table was filled, as well as outdoor seating, plus constant to go orders. We ordered a bunch of things to share; a large cheese pizza, garlic bread knots, and specialty pizzas. The sauce flavor was balanced with just the right amount of cheese; crust soft and delicious. The staff was super welcoming and efficient; it was amazing how many people were fluttering around in such a small space. You could tell this was a town favorite. Prices were super reasonable, whether ordering by the slice or whole pies. If you're a fan of East Coast style pizza, this is a great one to enjoy. Without question, their manager came to our table side within moments to make it right for us. We ended up walking out with an abundance of pizza, at not additional cost. The blonde man with the man bun, who seemed to be in charge, was extremely annoyed and defensive when I wasn't happy with my stale, flat slice of pizza with minimal toppings during the late afternoon lull. I brought my single slice to the counter and told him that, after looking at fresh pizza, mine was totally unacceptable. Rather than attempting to accommodate me, he defensively said to me " Our pieces never sit for more than X hours" which is completely meaningless, because if a customer isn't happy, customer feedback shouldn't be contested!!! On top of all of that, that person was going out of his way to cater to every other customer, especially the male customers. How do I know this? Because I hung out for a couple of hours and I saw how he interacted with the customers. I ordered a pie to go, and I walked up to the counter. He looked at me in a state of confusion when I said, I got a text, saying my pizza pie to go was ready. He had no clue what I was talking about. He said "oh I thought you just ordered a single slice" As a single woman dropping in for a hot slice of pizza, this was a disaster! Anybody that claims this is the best pizza in Bend I question your pizza knowledge, or Bend, Oregon has some average pizza. I ordered one of their vegetarian options, and the pizza lacked toppings, it lacked flavor, it lacked anything other than a pizza I'd expect to see rotating on one of those heating racks at a local movie theater. I'm sorry but this was an average pizza at best, and as somebody new here in Bend, I will definitely look elsewhere. read more

The four of us got slices to go and we ate at their outside tables. Loved the cheese pizza! Every element was wonderful. Crust had a great chew to it and it wasn't too thick or too thin. The tomato sauce and cheese were quality ingredients and had excellent flavor. We also ordered the veggie pizza slice as well. Super flavors on that slice too!
