Pizza was good but I'm pretty sure the two guys that were working yesterday were high. I've never seen two people in a pizza place move so slowly and with zero intention to provide any form of customer service. It's important to note that the business was empty at around 2:00 in the afternoon. I placed my order for a small personal pizza. I was told 15 minutes. The person that appeared to be the most experienced walked around for a bit, talked to other employees, even disappeared for a bit. After about 12 minutes of watching this, he started to make my pizza. High AF. I left annoyed at pathetic work ethic and no attempt at customer service. I will not be back. Wow. read more

Very disappointed. It started with ordering at 330pm. Told it would be ready at 615pm. Got there - pizza not ready. Came back - waited another 15 minutes till after 7pm. THEN the pizza - just terrible. Extremely skimpy. Asked for onions on top. They literally put maybe 5 tiny one inch pieces of onion on the entire 18" pizza. How much do onions cost??? Not much meat on the meat pizza as well. The only reason I gave them 2 stars was because the crust was pretty good.wont be going back anytime soon - except maybe to buy a crust and make my own! read more

The staff was very kind and we watched as they made our pizza with a lot of care. The ambiance isn't great but it's just a tiny little pizza place with lots of LED lighting. Just had the strangest experience at the Eastside Bend location. I suddenly had a house full of teens to feed, so I stopped by Cibellis to order a giant pizza to go. I ordered at the counter, willing to wait if necessary. The young man who took my order said to wait in the car and he'd bring the pizza out to me. He even clarified which car was mine. I thought that was odd, as I had planned to just wait inside, but I followed his directions. We waited and waited. Finally, I went in to check and a different young man informed me that it had been ready for awhile! When I asked why they didn't bring it to the car, he seemed surprised that someone had told me that. When I pointed out the staff member, he mumbled a sorry. It was very weird! I have not ordered a pizza from Cibellis for over a year, I thought I would give them one last try. I ordered a medium pepperoni nothing else. To say this was one of the worst pizzas I have ever had would be an understatement. It was flat terrible. Couple things: Great place, wonderful service. I love they do slices, very rare and a great option. I saw how the system worked and a fantastic business model. Can't say enough about how cool it is to get slices at 7pm on a Thursday night. Where the pizza missed was not cooking the toppings. It was a cooked cheese pizza with toppings added on. So did not feel like a slice off a fresh pie. That's my take. read more

Went in to pick up a salad for lunch. I looked at the salad dressing and told the person at the counter that looked rotten. They promised that it was fine and it just looked like that. This Cibelli's location used to have great pizzas but a change in staff has shown a decline in quality. I would go here about once a week but the past few times I've gone, the pizza has been... not good. The cheese is very dry and tastes burnt. The pepperoni is slightly better but the last time I had it, it was on par with a Domino's pizza. Hopefully the new staff is trained better on how to make a New York style pizza, but I'll be going to a different location now and hope for the best. read more

We recently moved to Bend and this place is super close to our house and WOW! The chicken bacon ranch pizza is literally the best pizza I've ever had. We have now ordered it two nights in a row. It's seriously so good. Flavorful, cheesy, crispy bacon, big pieces of chicken and the dough is SO good. The ranch you get on the side too is thick and creamy. I ordered a pizza and cheese sticks over the phone and arrived 5 mins before they said it would be ready. I paid when I got there and then waited over 20 mins before asking about my order. They forgot to make my cheese sticks, made those when I showed up and didn't tell me that it would be a 25 min wait. During that whole time, my pizza was sitting on top of their oven getting cold. What happened to my 5-star Cibelli's? I don't know. Maybe the owner stayed in Florida too long. I remember when Cibelli's first opened up, and my heart skipped a beat with its glorious crust, perfectly seasoned sauce and milky cheese. I was eating Cibelli's slices for lunch or dinner about four times a week. But recently, I've been disappointed. In fact, I had a day off and decided What The Hell and grabbed a slice from both Cibelli's and it's competitor, Pisano's. I took photos of both, and tried them side by side. Normally I get my slices from the Eastside location. This time it was from the Westside. Cibelli's won. But not by much. When did they start using a screen on their pies? The diamond-shaped imprint on the bottom of the crust made me weep a little. Char that bad boy! Don't be scared, pizza man. Just do it! Cue music...The thrill is gone, the thrill is gone away, the thrill is gone... Oh, sorry. This is a review of Cibelli's. But it seemed to us from our visit this week that the song fits. Sadly. We've been Cibelli's customers for several years, since he had only one location in the little Tumalo complex. My Brooklyn born and raised, Italian heritage hubby nearly jumped for joy to have real, NY style pizza in Bend. I thought it was darn good too. But we both agreed, after our recent visit, that somehow the pizza just seems off, regardless of which of the several locations of Cibelli's one goes to these days. The same top quality just isn't there, in particular for the crust which is the end all for a New Yorker, like hubby, eating pizza. So, had we reviewed Cibelli's when we first started eating the pizza some years back this would have been four stars. But the last couple of times have been two star for the pizza. That said, the counter help at all locations are friendly, the service is fast and while none of the Cibelli's stores are going to win ambiance awards, some (like the E side store) are reasonably comfortable places if you want to eat in rather than take out. And there is no argument that Cibelli's offers the biggest slices of any Bend pizza joint. But as with other things in life, it is not always the biggest size the delivers the best experience. read more

Everything you would expect of a usual NY style pizza joint. Random pictures and kitsch of NYC. Red plaid vinyl table covers. Being in Bend, you're pretty limited to the options of (good) food. Mostly American fare, with the random Thai restaurant. So if you're going to do pizza, you'd better do it well. Cibelli's definitely succeeds with their thin crust, the right amount of cheese, flavorful toppings. But the real clincher here is the "white slice." 4 kinds of cheese with garlic sauce? Let's examine the problems: 1. In the not too distant past, we had a pizza that was still kind of "doughy." I emailed them...no reply. So I emailed again with the same results. They ignored me. 2. Apparently there website that appears to be 20 years old, must not allow for replies, or...they just don't care. 3. Prices have gone through the roof,($32 for two 10" pizzas) and they've removed Margherita pizza, which one of their employees told me was a favorite. 4. They were able to McGiver a margherita, at $2 for every item added. Tomato pieces $2, Mozzarella $2 Basil $2 (skimpy on all of the added toppings) so the price of a 10" pizza went up $6. Hard working high school age young adults do a good job, but I bet the owner of his 4 pizzerias just kicks back at home counting his dough...Ha, get it? Anyway, I'll give other places a chance, or pay $8 for a Paul Newman thin crust at the grocery store, with all profits going to charity. Arrivederci... read more

Bummer. We used to really like Cibelli's, but no more! Something has happened over the past year and now they seem to be using inferior ingredients and half the amount of toppings. I'm thinking that the general manager here in Bend has been cutting costs in the wrong places because it definitely shows with a really unappealing pizza. They are now making it so thin that my husband just compared eating it to eating a piece of construction paper. We're not wasting any more Friday Night Pizzas by ordering Cibelli's. I am very picky when it comes to pizza, particularly the crust and they in my opinion, do have the best crust in Bend. Their prices are very reasonable compared to others in town though very conservative(at least the east side location) with their already OK quality pepperoni. I specifically ordered a specialty pizza with pepperoni covering the entire pizza. I told them three freakin' times how important the pepperoni was to me!! The guy who made my pizza was the same guy who took my order!! They charged me for extra pepperoni but the finished pizza looked like a standard pepperoni with a few large pieces scattered around. That said, I will probably go back occasionally for the crust and the price but will have to order triple pepperoni!!! _______________________________________________________________ Edit(12/02): I went back again and the gentleman working there gave me exactly what I ordered and would not let me leave until I checked the pizza and knew I was happy. When I hear Cibelli's, I just get excited about the food to come! Our friends have taken us here several times and I am always amazed by the sheer size of the pizza!!! The box barely fits from my chest to the windshield of my friends Outback!!! Huge slices of good pizza!!! The pizza is tasty and while somewhat thin crust the slices are big enough you are full after 1 slice! Also due to the size of the pizza (surface area of cheese) you get a lot more topping on your slice. Great for groups because the pizza is huge and we love how it tastes!! Would definitely recommend if you're looking for pizza or want to try a "novelty" thing (because the slices are so big). read more
