The Rush's Squares at On Tap Beer Garden (for this Californian it is such a unique setup - a fun outdoor space where you can enjoy craft beer and delicious bites from local food trucks. It's relaxed, vibrant, and the kind of place that instantly puts you in a good mood.) This afternoon, I went with Rush's Squares "The Good Good" pizza. It was exactly that - good, good, and then some! A thick, crispy square crust layered with cheese, crunchy pepperoni, a healthy scoop of creamy ricotta, and a drizzle of Mike's Hot Honey for that perfect sweet heat. You get four generous squares, easily enough for two people (or one very happy pizza lover). Even the pizza guy was great, friendly, welcoming, and quick to offer recommendations. She had good things to says about the pizza and the people in the food truck before I was able to eat a bite. The first bite said 5-stars. I drove 50 minutes out of my way to revisit this Sicilian style pizza food truck. A number of recommendations on the menu, but you can also build your own with a wide variety of toppings. Mine was phenomenally good. It takes about 20 minutes. Lots of other food choices if pizza doesn't grab you, and lots of outdoor tables to sit at. The only things that would make it better would be organic ingredients and whole wheat crust. read more

Some of the best pizza I've ever had! There's no skimping on ingredients and every bite was delicious!

Called first and verified they were open and could make a Hawaiian pizza. There was a fridge outside the trailer with drinks. Was greeted quickly and in a friendly manner. I ordered a Hawaiian pizza. A 20 minute wait was promised and a pager disc was issued. I need to take an aside to discuss how much I appreciate a pager. I'm all old and stuff, 64 and a pager eliminates one of the things I struggle with in ordering from food trucks - hearing my name called. I was able to find a restroom and wash my hands, relax in the shade and catch up on communication while waiting. The stress reduction was significant. The pizza was unlike anything I'd had before. While I could have stopped eating after the first quarter slice, I enjoyed the flavors, textures and freshness so much, I continued until there was no more. I even peeled the cheese off the checkered paper liner in the box. The Canadian bacon had a great smoked flavor, the pineapple was fresh, sweet and delicious. The cheese had the perfect consistency, stayed on the bread/crust and tied everything together. The bread was dense with a toasted edge I really enjoyed. Sorry, no pics. Everytime ive had Rush's Squares, I've enjoyed it. They have a list of pies or you can create your own. Ive hard the carnie- an all meat and The Big Dill- one with ranch, bacon and pickles topped w dill. I still always come back for the all meat though. Their crust is soft and light center with a crisp, cheesy edge. I normally dont even like a pan crust style but id say this is one of the better pizzas in Bend. They put the perfect amount of toppings- I tend to like moderate to a lot of toppings on my pizzas. read more

Lets be honest, who really likes a pizza crust? I feel like a crust is a waste of space and Rush's fills that space like a porn star with their cheesy, crunchy, finger licken' good edges. And Speaking of Porn stars they had a pickle pizza on the special menu! The smoke show on my arm obviously wanted a pickle in and around her mouth so daddy had to order the special. New pizza truck in town, currently parked at Silver Moon Brewing's new lot. Rush's Squares makes square pizza, a thick(ish) crust similar to Detroit style (they in fact have one called the Detroit). - Herbie: a vegetarian pizza with small tomatoes, mushrooms, cheese and spinach. Very tasty, not huge, reasonably priced at $15. The pizza came out piping hot although the first bite revealed that the interior wasn't very hot, rather it was just warm. That didn't slow us down a bit. As with the other food trucks at Silver Moon, you can order online provided the particular vendor has 'turned on' the system for their truck. Or you can do it old school and just walk up and order. Recommended. read more

Tried it for the first time, Buffalo Chicken pizza. Absolutely amazing! Crispy crust with a chewy inside, perfect amount of toppings and sauce, and the flavors were poppin like Guy Fieri in the early 2000s. read more

Have been looking for a good pizza place since I moved to Bend. We decided to try this place and it didn't disappoint! We got three pizzas, the Fancy Pants (in the photo) alone with The X and a plain pepperoni. Great pizza if you like more of the deep dish style! Definitely worth giving a try. read more

Good crispy Sicilian style pizza. Crispy crust, not too thick, not chewy, doughy or raw which I often fear with Sicilian or pan. I really liked the crust. I did order it, "A liile more done than most people" Sauce added flavor without trying to be the star. Cheese was good and well melted without being oily. Italian sausage was very good, same for mushrooms. Pepperoni was flavorful, with smaller diameter slices than I'm used to, but a little thicker. Had been heated enough but thickness prevented pepperoni from forming any crunch out at the edges. Again, that crust more than made up for it. Highly recommended. read more

Wow! This is hands down one of the best pizzas I've had. Im not usually into thick crust bit this crust is EVERYTHING! 8x8 square pizza gives you 4 slices with 2 sided crusts for each slice. I had the Andy Which is chicken, blended cheese, ranch sauce, bacon and red onions. I added mushrooms and artichoke hearts. They were a bit skimpy on the artichoke hearts, literally 1/4 piece per slice. Great addition to On Tap! read more

First time trying out Rush's pizza. I loved the crunchy bottom & edges and airy center of the thick crust. I had the Sweet Heat pizza - great flavor and quality ingredients! After dabbing the grease off the top with napkins it was perfect. Food truck service was good - Poor guys, it was 100 degrees outside. I know they had A/C but still looked hot in there. The price point seems a little high $15-16.00 bucks for the pizza makes it $4.00 per little square. Seems like everything post Pandemic is over 15 bucks now for a meal. read more

I understand these are trying times, but nickel and diming for Ranch is one of my pet peeves as a pizza maker with many years in the industry. At Rush's, I just wanted one ranch. But, I was asked to buy two $0.50 priced ranch's to meet their CC minimum of $1 AFTER I'd bought my pizza. Give out ranch. It won't tank your business and you'll have a better customer experience because of it. read more

We are visiting on vacation and this pizza wins the prize for our best vacation meal. From the crusty edges to the perfectly paired toppings, this pizza is top notch. Their cheesy bread sticks are also excellent. We will eat here again within our short stay in Bend and wish Houston would have a food truck like this! read more

Owner is a stand up guy who will be there to take care of the customers even if that means coming in on a night off. Thank goodness I found this place. It is the best. I just moved from SF and was having trouble finding a good pizza place. This is it! They have changed location, so that needs to be updated. I thought the pizza was good, it was recommended by someone I saw at the doctors office. I was excited to try it. I ordered the buffalo chicken pizza, it was good but overly salty. My sister ordered the vegetarian and it was good, not salty. Lastly my son ordered cheese with ham, also not salty. Unfortunately the two women who worked there were both very unfriendly both when I ordered an when I picked up my order. Due to their lack of friendliness and common courtesy, I would not go back to support their business. It isn't the first time they brushed me off and made me feel unwelcome. read more
