Following a hike at Sparks Lake we stopped in at Jackson's Corner for a quick lunch before driving home to the Portland area. The parking is street parking but was easy to secure on a Saturday early afternoon. We had been to Jackson's Corner years ago with our kids when they were younger. Jackson's Corner was just as I remembered, cozy with easy seating, excellent food options available in a casual uncomplicated atmosphere. You order at the counter and they bring the food out to your table. We ordered the tomato soup and grilled cheese and then the breakfast sando and another bowl of tomato soup to dip it in. Sounds weird maybe but don't knock it until you try it cuz it hit the spot! I was excited to see that there were gelato offerings as well but we didn't try any of those this time around. Wow! This place is very good! Everything on the menu is fresh, breads, pastries and desserts are all made from scratch in house! The pizzas are to die for! I was in town for 4 days and ate there 3 times, breakfast, lunch and dinner!! It's a must period. One thing that was very inconvenient. You have to order at the counter and there's only one person. For breakfast the line was out the door with a 45 min wait just to order, and most of all the tables were empty. In other words, it makes no sense to have one register with all the tables they have. People are obviously eating fast then ordering your food. It's like have 1 waitress to take orders. They must either have waitresses or multiple registers to order. One order at a time and mist of them are large groups which makes it even harder to order. Everyone is adding food to there orders at the counter because that's when you see all the amazing backed goods, but it is way to time consuming. They can triple their sales easily!! 2 months ago I had the PERFECT meal! The most delicious hamburger,, a beer and a scoop of gelato! I kid you not...I have been daydreaming about this hamburger ever since! This place was previously highly recommended but after further research I learned that upon changing ownership the establishment has gone downhill. Despite this, I thought I'd give it a shot and all I can compare it to is the other experiences I've had in Bend this past weekend. From every interaction - whether from calling to see what the wait was, to ordering, to actually receiving my food, there wasn't a lick of customer service. Walked into Jackson's corner located at 845 NW Delaware Ave in the Old Bend neighborhood, a fav of friend, for a 9AM breakfast. Known for their organic & sustainable menu. I love that! Yellow building with light, bright interior. There's seating inside, as well as side walk seating with more seating in back of Jackson's Corner building. Lots of couples, friends meeting up, families, kids since there's a separate kids menu. Grab a menu, join the queue to order your breakfast at the counter. Line seems to move rather smoothly. Ordered and let counter/cashier know where we would be sitting so they could deliver food to your table. She was very nice and great w/suggestions when we asked. Ordered: * (2) Classic Two eggs*, both with bacon; organic potatoes, whole wheat toast - offered hot sauce, preserves. I loved this breakfast because the potatoes were crispy but not pan-fried burnt as it can be sometimes w/nice light herbs, eggs done perfectly, one over easy and one light scramble, the bacon was perfectly done and, wonderfully, NOT dripping with grease, the thick sliced wheat toast was great with a touch of preserves or plain to mop up the remnants of lush, eggy yolk * (2) Coffees - liked the way the coffee station was set in the back with carafes of half half & simple syrup, and sweetness like organic stevia near the espresso station. You can get as many refill as you'd like! I really enjoyed a well cooked breakfast of eggs, bacon, w/w toast where it wasn't overly greasy or overdone! And that it's organic and sustainable makes for a good start to my day. Only caveat is not all the pastries are available when we came in at 9AM. Go a bit later if you want to be able have a full selection of pastries. Besides the food You have got to check out the entire wall of refrigerated bottle drinks offered. My husband and I had Jackson's Corner for dinner. He ordered the fried chicken and I had their salad special which was spinach, mixed greens, asparagus, sunflower seeds, and a buttermilk ranch dressing. I ordered it without the bacon bits so it didn't have a whole lot of flavor but I liked that they were willing to make it vegetarian and the veggies were super fresh. The service was great and so was the food. I definitely appreciate all of the staff for going the extra mile to ensure that my experience was good. It was a very popular place however it didn't feel like people were flying in and out on a Friday. It sounded busy however just fine. You can tell they spent time making this dish. I didn't like the pomegranates however they provided sweet and crunchy textures. The lamb I wouldn't do again. I wasn't expecting it to be so fatty, that's on me, I know lamb is fatty. I wanted more broccolini but all it in all it was fantastic. This converted General Store is located in a residential area of old Bend. They feature artisan breads, hand-pulled fresh pastas, grass fed, organic burgers and a huge selection of private label ciders, ales, and microbrews. The portions are absolutely massive here. Service is fast and everything is locally sourced. We are so impressed with the Farm-to-Table freshness of everything organic here. In California, the dishes would be prohibitively expensive. My wife and I ordered the "Pitchfork T Beef Stew" and "Mixed Green Salad for lunch. It was fantastic. The salad hit the spot and the stew was perfect to have on a cold central Oregon day or any day. Perfectly spiced. The staff were great, and the food came out timely. The restaurant is very clean. We probably walked by this place a dozen times and decided to try it. Glad we did. I've been here several times and have received excellent service every time! Everyone that I've encountered working here has been very friendly, on top of that the location is in a cute neighborhood which gives it a very homey & comfortable feeling. It's also more spacious that a lot of coffee shops, lots of seating options! A good place to do work/schoolwork, have a solo coffee date with yourself, or meet up with some friends for some good food and/or yummy coffee! Found this place while searching for a Sunday brunch spot at 10am. This was basically the only option, so it was pretty crowded. The line went back to the door nearly the entire time we were there. The line to order took about 10 minutes and then the food took another 35, so don't expect to be in and out of here quickly If you want something to snack on while you wait, grab one of the fresh cinnamon rolls. They're really tasty. They come room temp by default but you can ask them to heat it up if you'd like. Also, my friend got a chai tea and said it was the best he had ever had The Croque Ma'am is cheesy, creamy, savory and quite filling. I'd definitely recommend trying it. I also tried the tomato soup. For a side, it comes in a larger serving than expected. On its own, it tastes average but It comes with a small piece of bread that complements the flavor well. I'd recommend getting more fresh baked bread to dip in the soup and you could make that an entire meal read more

If you read previous reviews they are spot on with the note around wait times. As others have mentioned they are upfront with how long the wait will be before putting your name on their list to help them coordinate seating. We came ~9:30AM on a holiday Monday and the wait was already 45 mins to get to the counter to order and another 25 mins to get your food after ordering. Not sure if it's the holiday rush or if this is standard so seems like coming in earlier is the way to go! By the time we left around 11PM the line was around the block. Jackson's Corner is a counter service establishment meaning you wait in line to order at the counter, once you order they let you know where you're seated, and then bring the food out to you. Water is self-serve with the water station near the barista. The menu here is pretty simple with some classic breakfast items and a unique item such as the huevos rancheros. They also have some sandwiches and salads to pair with the breakfast entrees. Most items are ~$15. We ended up getting the breakfast burrito (with bacon), hueveos rancheros, chicken sandwich, and bread to go. The breakfast burrito had a kick with hot sauce/crema inside but pretty standard. The huevos rancheros were probably the item I saw other tables ordering the most and I can see why. It's super filling with the beans but it also not a really heavy dish if you share it. All their bread is in house so loved that the bread had a nice crunch but spongy and bouncy in the middle with the chicken sandwich. To wash it down we paired the entrees with their lavender and horchata lattes. They were unique and nice to try but the horchata was a little too sweet for my taste buds while the lavendar flavor could have been more enhanced. Will I say that their menu is super unique where I would wait the 1 hr+ again? Probably not but they are definitely worth checking out if you have time. There were others asking around if calling in would be faster but the staff mentioned ETA would be fairly similar. Overall, staff here is super friendly and even brought out waters while we were waiting in line. They also have some wines, beers, and breads for sale once you get inside and ingredients are locally sourced around the area. read more

Boy do I love this place! We come every time we are in town, and also chose where to stay recently based on proximity. Incredible breakfast, amazing coffee. And recently we tried dinner for the first time, too. They were very conscientious of my baby's diary allergy, as well.
