Turkish Eggs
Ellie H.

The place is located on the edge of downtown Bend, plenty of free parking. We went on a Thursday lunch and there was no wait. Tried their crab cake salad and Turkish eggs, both were very pleasant. The staff were friendly and attentive. I would recommend this spot if you ever travel cross town.

Hashbrowns, guacamole, tomatoes, and easy over eggs.

A small place and packed with people. Thats a good sign. Right? Our nice waitress seated us by the front window. Great spot. We weren't in the middle of the café. We ordered and didn't have to wait long before our food was served. The food was hot and tasted amazing. We will be back!

You'll spot this place in Bend by the long lines every morning--and now I understand why. The café is charmingly decorated with bright lemon accents, creating a fresh and cheerful atmosphere as soon as you walk in. The staff is exceptionally friendly, and our server never stopped smiling. They explained the menu so well that we decided to order all of the daily specials. We started with a smooth latte and the bread pudding of the day--perfectly balanced and not overly sweet. The burrata salad was outstanding, with tomatoes, olives, and basil that tasted incredibly fresh. Every bite brought out the brightness of the tomatoes and the aroma of basil. The seasonal ratatouille was another highlight: the vegetables were cooked perfectly with just the right amount of spice, making it flavorful and well-balanced. This spot truly delivers. The long lines are absolutely worth it!

Cute brunch spot! Small / limited seating so not ideal for large parties but perfect for couples. We walked in and there wasn't a wait (but it was a Thursday morning) Standard brunch fare with lots of fresh baked pastries, solid showing all around

Came here with a large party for breakfast and they did a great job at making sure we all got our correct orders! The cinnamon roll was pretty good, but wasn't as flavorful as I've had in the past 3/5. I really enjoyed the avo hash smash! The hashbrowns were perfectly crispy and the avocado was nice and fresh. I loved the addition of the tomatoes for the perfect amount of acidity! They had a great selection of food and a nice change from the usual diner menu

Really nice little breakfast/lunch spot with excellent and creative dishes, packed with lots of flavor. Service was very friendly and the food came fast. Definitely will come back!

Crab eggs Benedict

The lemon tree was great. The staff was very nice and the food was good. They did mention there separate plates would cost a certain charge which I was disappointed about. While they at least disclosed it. It made no sense about it because we shared food family style. I had the crab Benedict which was great and heavy. The special bacon they had was also excellent. Their nasi goreng is decent and interesting although I've never had a nasi goreng that was as wet or soggy as theirs. Not to say it was bad but it was not as common. The decor was very cute and very lemon forward. Their blueberry starter was super good!

Great food and service and ambiance! Reasonable prices, crowded but staff were managing the lines very well.

Those homemade croissants are amazing but the real winner of breakfast was the skirt steak omg! It's a cute place that sits on a corner. The inside gives me Bridgeton vibe lol

A very popular and busy restaurant. We ate here on Saturday 7/26/25. Very crowded by 9:30am but we got in within 20 min. Inside is nice but small (tables are very crowded together) food is more on the hippy-dippy side but what I had was the one of the daily specials and was very good. I had the steak and eggs, that included bacon and hash browns. Very good and cooked to perfection. Parking is also hard to find, there is a pay to park lot right next to the restaurant that you use an app to pay on. Carful on parking there because after paying I received a parking citation that says I didn't pay. Totally not a reflection on the restaurant but you need to be aware.

They are not kidding about the line to get into this cute little restaurant. We got there 15 minutes before they opened and we were already 4th in line. By the time they opened the line was reaching around the corner. The servers were all very friendly and food was fantastic. The portions were on the larger side. We will definitely be returning. I heard their dinner is also great.

The last time I was in the area the wait time was too long before we needed to head out so I didn't get to check them out. We just missed the first rush but honestly 20 mins wasn't too crazy compared to the last time we tried to stop by. The outdoor seating area wasn't open for dining (just drinks) but as you enter it's a really homey vibe. Be sure to ask if they have specials that day from their normal menu. The crab cake benedict was calling to me so had to get that from their menu. The crab cakes were super filling and just the right amount of sauce to cover them and the muffins. The cakes paired well with the avocados and didn't make me feel too heavy eating it. All in all, I can see how it's a local favorite but service is pretty relaxed so I would stop by right at opening or when you're not in a rush.

Amaretto French Toast

My wife and I had brunch here today for our wedding anniversary, and we were impressed. We decided to get one sweet dish, and one savory dish, and then share them between us. The food was delicious. My wife said that she thinks it was the best French toast that she's ever had. The pork belly hash with duck egg was seasoned perfectly. For coffee I had a black drip. and my wife had a latte. Both were very good. The establishment has a very clean, vibrant, and upscale feel to it. Our server was very friendly and attentive. We would love to come here again.

The owners closed up shop downtown and created this new place on 2nd Street in Bend's Central District. It's now called Dogwood at the Pine Shed. Why Yelp won't create a new, distinct page for the Pine Shed is beyond me. That said, the Pine Shed is a fine place for drinks and food truck fare. The open, spacious 'shed' has plenty of varied seating surrounding a nice bar with quite a few tables outside on the patio. Mobility-challenged folks have choices too. For those worried about 2nd Street's reputation for sketchiness, don't be. Revitalization efforts by the city have transformed the area. At times of good weather, with the big doors open, the Pine Shed is quite a nice spot to relax. Cocktails were the raison d'etre for the former incarnation of Dogwood and that emphasis transfers here to the Pine Shed. I particularly like their versions of a margarita but the other cocktails are uniformly good too. The beer tap offerings are not so spectacular, however, with only four (and a cider). On one visit shortly after they opened for business, two beer taps were tapped out, which can be chalked up to growing pains. In any case, the Pine Shed can't be seriously regarded as a tap house in the style of the many others in Bend (On Tap, River's Place, Crosscut, The Lot, The Podski, Midtown Yacht Club, etc.). Come for the cocktails. They do offer low ABV and zero ABV drinks. At present, the food truck choices are abundant and pretty decent. Being trucks/carts, and thus mobile and prone to relocating themselves, I'll not list them here. Best to check the Pine Shed's webpage for current offerings and then go to the relevant Yelp page for reviews. Parking is street only, no parking lot. The city has completed construction on 2nd Street so there are more spots available than before.

I was served by a tall male bartender who was incredibly personable--we talked quite a bit, and honestly, I'd go back just for that experience alone. I ended up ordering an impressive amount of food, and by the time I hit my fifth large course, he joked that he'd have to pinch himself if I actually finished it. I couldn't help it--everything was that good. He also pointed me toward the owner, who clearly knows exactly what he's doing in the kitchen and carries himself with confidence and intention. We started with a beautiful bottle of Domaine Serene 2021 Pinot Noir... smooth, elegant, and the perfect pairing for everything that followed. I started with mussels and clams (seafood will always be my first pick) and scallops for my husband--both were incredible. For the main event, I had the blackened redfish (SO good) which is the best I have had outside of New Orleans and the steak lover went all in on the ribeye... and let's just say there were zero leftovers! Every bite was delicious, the atmosphere was perfect, and the best part? Our server Emily never missed a beat all night! If you're in Bend and looking for a fantastic night out--this is your spot. The menu isn't very large and I think we both settled on choices quickly, deciding to try the most "quintessential" entrees to share. I chose the Blackened Redfish, and my boyfriend the Jambalaya. Even though we had already decided, the waitress went on her whole spiel through the menu highlights, including what we had already had planned to order. Awkward, but it was fine, and we didn't stray from our original choices. The Blackened Redfish was perfectly cooked and flaky. It was served on a bed of mashed potatoes with a slightly tangy sauce. All of it was tasty, but I was a bit disappointed in the lack of spice to the blackening seasoning and the sauce. Also, serving it on grits instead of mashed potatoes would have made it feel 100% more Cajun, even with lack of seasoning. The Jambalaya fared a bit better, although my boyfriend was also left puzzled by the lack of spice to this classic dish. In all ways it was a very good representation of New Orleans style red jambalaya, with the andouille sausage being particularly notable for flavor. The cornbread it came with was pretty good. We shared a piece of chocolate cake for dessert. A very decadent concoction of chocolate, peanut butter, and caramel. It was one of the better $12 slices of cake I've had. Overall? The service was good, if not a bit awkward with the menu spiel. The food was all very well prepared, but for a Cajun style restaurant they sure could stand to spice things up a bit. It's not cheap, but at least the entrees are a full sized meal and you don't have to order many "tiny plates" to cobble together a dinner.

There were no check-ins at the table, a hostess walked around once filling everyone's water but that was it (so we had empty water for about half the time we were there), I had to flag down the bartender by staring at him from across the bar to get his attention for a check, once I got the check he again tried to immediately walk off even though I had the card & wallet on the table and nearly immediately put it in the book, and in general he was not amiable. I actually asked my friend after the first interaction of 'do you think he's having a bad day or hates it here?'.
