Always on the lookout for great N/A I ordered the house-made ginger beer. SO GOOD! Anyway, appetizers - We had: Patatas Bravas - yummy fingerling potatos Mushroom Tartine - this is PHENOMENAL, their amazing sourdough bread topped with mushrooms, goat cheese and herbs. Now mind you, it comes with 3 servings, and with four of us, well it was hard to split up. I wish we wouldve asked if they could do 4 pieces for incremental charge. I loved it so much if I come back this might even be my entree. Roasted Eggplant - omg, with spiced yogurt and pomegranate seeds, what an amazing taste combination! Braised Cabbage, in a curry broth, this was inhaled as well. While the others ordered the various pizzas, I had the Flame and Field Steak Salad, 6oz sirloin on radicchio salad with an amazing blue cheese dressing and lots of other stuff. My steak was PERFECTLY cooked to med rare and seasoned. And i'll mention, they dont put any salt/pepper on the table here, and they dont need to :) Service was on the ball, kind respectful and informative. The ambiance is very, well, TERRA. Lol. I visited the Redmond area for work recently, and Terra Kitchen was by far and away the best from my travels. The staff were super friendly and personable, if not for a tight schedule I could have spent the whole afternoon there with them. The bison burger I ordered was absolutely amazing. I care about what I put into my body, and the team there definitely matches that energy. Terra champions locally sourced, clean ingredients, and clean cooking oils (no seed oils!!). We had our family trip in Eagle Crest this year and my sister had reserved this restaurant for our dinner. The bread service included nice thick slabs of sourdough and some hearty chimichurri with a touch of salt. The honey-kissed burrata was a twist from the usual way I eat it. There was a thin coating of honey, some pieces of mandarin, and a couple pieces of microgreens. It was both sweet and savory, and quite refreshing. The harissa herb lamb was ok. It was too charred and a little dry. Even with the sweet onion and tahini sauce, it was difficult to stomach. My hubby got the ranch sausage pizza. The pork and peppers had a nice hearty bite. The ratio of cheese, vegetables, and crust were spot on. As far as pizza goes, it really hit the spot. Service was superb. There was a rotation between three different people to help with our large table. It is certainly a little on the steeper side cost-wise but I can appreciate that when it is all farm to table. Phenomenal flavors and fresh ingredients!!! I recently stayed at SPC Redmond hotel for business and had a delicious lunch. The grain and roasted vegetable bowl with blackened wild salmon. What took it over the top were the two sauces, including a roasted jalapeño cilantro, green sauce and a roasted Romanesco sauce. I paired it with a nonalcoholic IPA. Terra Kitchen was phenomenal. The welcoming, beautifully decorated environment makes it an ideal place to dine. The staff were wonderful, providing quality service and hospitality. I've been here a few times over the years. The food and service is always great so I keep coming back. But this time the service was beyond amazing and it deserved recognition, let me tell you why. It's the first time I've been back since having a baby. We have a beautiful 6 month old and he tagged along with us. Taking a new baby out to nice places can be stressful and often times you feel like the staff or people may not want you here. Terra on the other hand - made us feel so welcome and at home. As soon as we sat down one of the chefs came over and brought us fresh butternut squash puree for our baby. This was something so simple but made our entire trip. The front staff was beyond accommodating as well. Even moving us to a more comfortable (lower) table when one opened up without us having to ask. This is my second visit here. The first time was with family and we ordered a variety of pizzas. They were all fabulous--unusual ingredients and wonderful flavors. Now I'm here on business alone about six months later. The waitress actually remembered me! I was impressed. This time I ordered the FesenJoon Stew. "Sweet and sour Persian stew cooked in a walnut, pomegranate, saffron, and cinnamon broth. Filled with kombucha, pumpkin, crimini mushrooms, and red bell pepper. Served with basmati, rice, cardamom, lime yogurt, and fresh pomegranate kernels." Delicious, thick, rich and strong. For dessert, apple strudel. "Honeycrisp apples, with cinnamon and sugar wrapped in flaky phyllo dough and baked golden brown." Really good as well. What I love about this place is their use of "sustainably sourced ingredients and organic whenever possible," along with humanely treated meats. They have loads of vegan options. The only "Blue"places they have menu sans meat are tourist traps. All countries in the Med love meat. Wife got bbq chicken pizza - $26 for a 12" (actually measured 10 1/2"). Simply on the chicken. Mostly veggies . I tried the 14 oz ribeye. Guessing they meant14 grams. Tiny and thin. Bend used to have western entrees. Guess the California crowd has preference now . Oh well. Lesson learned. Damn liberals taking over what used to be a great food place. Gotta have meat. BTW, I'm pushing 80. Had meat every day of my life. BP 126/74, healthy, still driving, walk 5 miles a day. Our friends had suggested we go to Terra Kitchen for dinner. 2 out of 4 of us are vegetarian and the menu has an extensive choice to suit there needs. We went for happy hour ( 4 -5:30 ) and started out with 2 appetizers .Patatas Bravas- fingerling potatoes, garlic, herbs, saffron aioli, All Kale Caesar -house dressing, croutons, manchego. Off to a good start. The fingerling potatoes were a big hit. They were very tasty. With it being happy hour you can get buy one pizza and get a second one at 1/2 off. We ordered a Veggie Supreme with barbequed jackfruit, veggie meatballs, olives, red onion, bell pepper, house tomato basil sauce onion and a Humble Pig with coppa salami, speck ham, locally sourced pork sausage, caramelized onion, house tomato basil sauce, spicy honey. Our wives had the Veggie Supreme. They liked the pizza except for the veggie meatballs. The taste and texture were not to their liking. My friend and I had the Humble Pig. We both enjoyed our pizza. Our server was very nice . She was informative and friendly. She did an odd thing. With our order of our appetizers the sever took it upon herself to upgrade our order without asking us. Moved to Redmond recently and had been wanting to try this place. I have experience in the wine business and gf is a trained chef, so the "farm to table, veggie forward" concept appealed. Unfortunately, the execution was lacking and we would not recommend. I started by ordering a $12 glass of wine, and got the smallest pour imaginable. This alone ruined our experience, as I tried to parcel out the 3 sips. Couldn't have been more than 3 oz., and I've served many pours myself. Why would a restaurant start off your experience by being so stingy?? Started with the mushroom tartine. The grilled bread underneath was good, but otherwise it was such a mishmash of flavors that you couldn't taste the mushrooms at all. The pesto was very garlicky/lemony and the parmesan piled on top overwhelmed the mushrooms. We then ordered the $30 veggie paella and it was a big disappointment (supposedly one of their specialties). The rice itself was gloppy and the veggies were pretty sad. The cauliflower and peas were decent but the burnt kale on top made no sense. And then it came with a lot more grilled bread, but there was nothing to dip it into so made no sense. Finally I asked for butter, but why wasn't it served with butter if there's no sauce or gravy to dip the dry bread into?? All in all, not a good experience and I wouldn't go back or recommend. Did I mention the horribly small glass of wine for $12?? Service was fine except for the wine pour, which really negatively colored our experience. Upon searching for vegetarian friendly dinner options we found Terra Kitchen. For those that want the tl;dr version - it's divine. Go there. For those that want more details - I loved almost everything. We ordered two drinks, the negroni and the SCP sangria, which I actually think come of the hotel bar, but both were delicious. We also ordered the caprese tartine, the capellini primavera, the special corn and jalapeno risotto and the tiramisu. If there was a negative to any of the food it was that the angel hair in the capallini was pre-cut. The flavors on everything were perfection. Fresh, bright, bold foodgasms in every bite. I am already planning another trip to town to try more food. The staff was delightful. Attentive, friendly, quick. The chef made her way around the dining room and introduced herself to every table and asked after them, and it was clear this is a regular thing for her based on our conversation with her. The ambiance was very nice. I loved the liberal use of plants in a plant-forward restaurant. The space was warm, the noise level was perfect. The only complaint I have about our entire visit was that we were seated in the bar height window table. Which is an awkward table, with utterly uncomfortable chairs that had about 1/3 of a chair back. After sitting there for an hour, I was in pain. The rest of the tables were normal height with what looked like lovely chairs. This is such an easy fix, and to be honest if they fix it I think they will reach absolute perfection. read more
