Had the spring pea risotto, lavender honey non-alcoholic beverage, and dulce de leche gelato! It was all perfectly delicious and balanced! The risotto was so fresh, earthy, and creamy, the lavender honey sweet and rich, and the gelato was the perfect not-too-sweet dessert. The evening we were there they were either short staffed or the service was awful. Our waitress was very kind but, everything took forever. It took 30 minutes to get our drinks and just as long for apps, then dinner. The food was delicious and fun. The music choice was odd for dinner....80s rock.....interesting choice. My daughter took me to this delightful place for a birthday dinner this evening. Our server was friendly and welcoming. She started us out with a sparkling lemon, lavender, mint mocktail, We tried several starters from Chef Erin's new Spring menu, and it was impossible to choose a favorite. We moved on to a yummy pizza, with a creative combination of toppings. Amazing! For dessert...melt-in-your-mouth flourless chocolate cake, served with fresh fruit and a scoop of lemon sorbet. We decided to finally try this new restaurant out tonight. We made reservations since we had trouble getting in due to I suspect limited staffing. I'm glad we did, the food was incredibly delicious, colorful, and the flavors were out of this world. Prices were a bit on the high end, 15-20 for appetizers, and 25-35 for main dishes. Food is all farm to table and local. The melon salad and paella were unbelievable. Service was very good, they gave us wine samples, and the staff was very friendly. Food is mostly vegan/vegetarian, but you won't care because it's THAT good. They do offer two meat proteins as well. Will definitely be going back there! read more

The restaurant was on our bucket list and decided to give it a go. Service was good but not top notch...empty water glass and that's fine. Then ordered the rib eye as my wife had the chicken kabobs. Our friend ate a pizza. The steak tasted a bit gamy like the cow was not properly finished. My wife like her kabobs and the pizza was fine. The biggest problem is that it all just didn't seem to justify the bill. The wine was very mediocre at best too. With so many other choices in Redmond, I don't think I will try it again. read more

For the non-vegetarians out there: You will find a nice selection of pizzas and entrees that include pork, chicken and beef. The Specktacular Fig Pizza is truly well named - it is topped with Speck and in my opinion is the best pizza in Central Oregon hands down. Great crust, nice char and the toppings are fresh and refreshingly different. TheMargherita pizza was a close tie for our table - the heirloom tomatoes actually tasted like a real tomato! For those who skew vegetarian some or most of the time, this place should not be missed. Food is spectacular! We were tempted by the pastas that offered some nice vegetarian options, and the starters and salads, again, offer interesting combinations I have not seen since Joolz closed down (moment of silence, please). Mediterranean and somewhat mid eastern influences such as mint, sumac, pomegranate. The drink menu includes a very nice summer sangria as well as a good selection of wines and other craft cocktails. The staff could not have been more welcoming and helpful. Terra is attached to the Old Redmond Hotel and has a charming, slightly rough hewn vibe. Highly recommend anyone looking for a break from the usual Central Oregon restaurants to give Terra a try. It is now on our short list for best places to eat in CO. read more

As plant-based diners even though it is easy to find options in Central Oregon, high caliber dining is often missing; but I can tell you that we had amazing dinner at Terra Kitchen. The Patatas Bravas were an enjoyable appetizer of almost a Syracuse style potato with chimichurri. A large portion was served, and we could see why they recommend sharing, there was more than enough for the 2 of us. For entrees The Persian Stew was on point with a variety of vegetables on a base of basmati rice with a toasted / lightly charred Sourdough side. The stew had a variety of seasonings that were perfectly balanced and tempered. It was 1/2 price pizza night, and it seemed every table occupied had at least one pizza on it, so we chose that to accompany the stew as an entree and were delighted by the flavor profile and the 48-hour fermented crust it was listed as Sweet & Spicy and over the plant-based cheese and vegetables was drizzled a spicy honey - who knew?!? For dessert we split 2 different options - a cheesecake that to us seemed a cross between the best parts of cheesecake and Creme Brulé plated with fresh berries and candied nuts, as well as Chocolate Mousse minus the Chantilly - both were exceptional. Paired with a bottle of Dominus, the meal was outstanding. Terra has a friendly, intimate, and comfortable atmosphere. We highly recommend this place if you haven't discovered it already. read more

I am compelled to write a review for one of the best overall restaurant experiences we've all had since moving here many years ago. Terra succeeds in creating a welcoming and warm atmosphere.. and with a formerly four seasons chef and inviting wait staff who put you immediately at ease, you are completely captivated with the place. The food was simply divine. The large steak entrée was cooked to perfection, with an incredible and original chimichurri sauce on the side along with two phenomenal salad and vegetable sides... all large portions we could easily share.
