Fresh, colorful, beautifully plated food with true options for everyone (vegetarian/vegan, gluten-free, dairy-free, fish, meat). Beet salad was incredible, plus great appetizers (scallops/Brussels sprouts) and family-style entrées for our group. The venue is gorgeous and full of meaningful art (including the owner/artist's work). The standout was the hospitality-Sharon (founder), Rhonda, and the team were warm, present, and genuinely engaged with us. If you're in Sisters or nearby, do not miss The Open Door.

This was my second visit to Sisters. I decided to go to The Open Door for dinner. I ordered the…read morepasta dish for $25 which was supposed to come with [a] " white wine blue cheese sauce, chicken, fresh cherry tomatoes and chopped basil". I also ordered the $3 baguette and a mocktail for $10. The pasta dish was a massive disappointment. I had to search for the chicken such was the limited amount in the dish. There was a minimal amount of cherry tomatoes. The supposed "white wine blue cheese sauce" was missing from the pasta also. There was no Parmesan Reggiano cheese offered at the onset or freshly ground pepper. Perhaps The Open Door is not that kind of culinary experience. I rarely complain when I visit restaurants as I try to do my due diligence before I go. I spoke with the waitress, manager and one other lady who came by to check on me. I was told they could bring me some more tomatoes, etc. However, the dish should have contained sufficient ingredients to warrant its description which it didn't. Pasta is one of the cheapest mainstays in the restaurant business, but The Open Door's pasta dish took this to a whole new low. As for the baguette, I was given four tiny half slices of bread and not a baguette. In hindsight, I would have been better served going to the Sisters Smokehouse and Deli and ordering their Tri-Tip Sandwich - which is delicious BTW- than wasting my $ here at The Open Door.

Just a short and sweet review here…read more Honestly, I used to work here, and I think the kitchen staff is amazingly talented! If you order off the regular menu, it's hit or miss, but if you order a special, it's usually fantastic. The flatbreads are generous and delicious, the burgers are well-made, the salads are huge, and can make two meals, and are very very good. But they're really great at though is catering. If I were you, I would have every event at the space. Their event coordinator is amazing and the food that they make for events is delicious. I love the staff here. They're kind, knowledgeable, and they make great drinks. Lastly, you can't beat the view here. It's not called the view for nothing. The golf course is beautiful and the view from the restaurant is so lovely especially in the summers when you can sit out on the deck.

Three words: OUT. STAND.ING…read more Every aspect of our service and food was on point. Delicious warm fry bread, delectable and savory Brussels, cream corn, and potatoes, and our steaks - cooked to absolute perfection. Eating here is slow and relaxed there is a very "no rush" feel. The menu is upscale and needs to be reviewed, but it's an educational journey into steak and well worth listening! You also get to learn about steak knives and pick out your own steak knife. Hell's Kitchen does not even compare to this place! Best dinner experience in Central Oregon! #1 in my book.

I'd avoided this place somewhat because the menu looks non-traditional and a bit scary. If you feel that way, get past it. The things at the very top are effectively amuses bouches, not even starters. Then below that you have shared starters (pork collar lettuce wraps amazing!) , then salad/soup if you want (the gazpacho was simply amazing and Steve's description made it even better). The bread, oh my god, the bread. Some Spanish or Portguese flat fried round bread with tallow on it -- you don't need the butter, trust me. In fact, perversely, that was the only issue with the meal. We ate too much bread. Next time, I'd eat half a roll each and bring the rest home. The steaks were simply superb, the crust amazing, the cooking temperatures perfect. I used both Steve and ChatGPT to help me pick mine (the Eye of Rib). The hangar, the bavette, and even the filet (not my fav) were all great as well. But I liked my pick the best. No room for dessert, none whatsoever, but they gave us a free madeline which was yummy as well. A++, best restaurant in Bend, can't believe how long it too me to come here. Don't fear the menu, it's not that complicated and the server will make it easy when they explain it to you.

Tender, not gamey, cooked for 5 plus hours until so beautifully rendered I would swear they coaxed fat out of it that doesn't exist. Sauces were delicious, especially the horseradish. The duck fat fries and watermelon salad were also winners. I was worried about ordering oysters this far from the ocean but whoever they are sourcing from did a great job. Delicious. Cocktails and dessert rounded out an exceptional meal and service was relaxed and attentive. We'll be back for sure next time we're in town.

The staff was friendly and personable, and the menu looked promising. We ordered the steamed mussels, beet salad, McArthur burger, and wild mushrooms. The burger was probably the highlight of the meal. Mine was a little more done than I prefer, but it was still very good. The beet salad was enjoyable, though not particularly memorable. The mussels were okay, but several were chewier than I'd expect. The biggest disappointment was the wild mushrooms. I was expecting something that would showcase the variety and flavor of wild mushrooms. Instead, the texture and taste reminded me of the canned mushrooms I grew up eating as a kid. Nothing was bad, but nothing really stood out either. We passed on dessert and left feeling a little underwhelmed given the prices and the setting. Would we come back? Probably not. In fact, when we were deciding where to eat the following night with friends, we suggested Three Creeks Brewing instead. If you found this review helpful, give it a like so it can help others too.

The restaurant, opened earlier this year, has a decor reminiscent of a New York establishment, hence the name. Nice long seating area with a view of the skilled bartenders. Reviewing the list of wine and spirits, it would match just about any restaurant in Portland or San Francisco. Many wine selections from around the world, and one of the longest list of spirits I've seen. Even the wines by the glass offered a good selection. Our waiter was Reed, and he was pleasant, helpful and professional. I had a flank steak, my wife the tuna dish. We supplemented these with the brussels sprouts, made with a unique topping, as well as the creamy mashed potatoes. Both almost a meal by themselves. My steak was done perfectly and cooked on an open fire to add to the taste. If you are looking for a great meal in Bend, don't miss out on The Hudson.

Truly a very disappointing experience, especially compared to our overall experience here at…read moreBrasada Ranch. I'll start with the positives, and that to say that the view is stunning. I highly recommend eating either by the windows or outside if weather permits. Now onto everything else. Firstly, when we got there they said that it would take half an hour to be seated. That's fine, we were a table of 4, so I understand if they needed space to open up before we could be seated. The disappointing part is that when we finally were seated the entire dining room was empty. Now I do understand that there may have been a shift change or something behind the scenes that would have caused this, and if this was the only thing that went wrong I don't think I would've thought much about it. Secondly when we finally ordered food, both my wife and I ordered their burger. 15 minutes later the waitress came back out to inform us that they no longer have the ingredients for the burger. Again, this would normally be fine since we'd pick another menu item. But when your menu only has 10 or so items, that isn't a lot to pick from. Lastly was the wait time. After all of this, we still had to wait an additional hour, and our party was restless as we had an event to attend to. So we asked to have our food to go. The lady, who i presumed to be the manager, was not unfriendly; but was definitely not helpful in the situation. As she proceeded to gas light us into thinking we had only been there for half an hour. The food itself was fine, but you are also paying a decent amount, so I would expect the food to atleast be fine? I mean the burger is $50. " All in all, thoroughly disappointing affair. There are 2 restaurants at Brasada, and I'd highly recommend the other one.

The barbecue shrimp was stupid good. Like... if the sauce was available, I would buy it by the jar. It was everything you want. Rich with deep flavors, the right amount of creole seasoning and creaminess. I was told by the bartender that I should definitely try it. I was torn because I wanted to try so many things. The cocktails are all fantastic. The wine list is great. The servers are all very knowledgeable and helpful. This is a great spot that's not pretentious but would be fantastic for a dimly lit date spot, or even a casual date with a friend. They have a full bar, a unique menu, and indoor/outdoor seating. It was kinda late as we were at an evening conference event, and after a short wait, we were seated! Crowded and late is usually a good sign. We ordered some great cocktails to start and a Cajun BBQ Shrimp Appetizer. The cocktails were great and unique, but the BBQ Shrimp was amazing. It's not like being in New Orleans, but it's pretty close! And you better believe that plate went back to the kitchen spotless!!! That BBQ sauce was bomb, which means good apparently. For some reason, we switched out waitresses halfway through, which made tipping awkward. However, each was funny and friendly in different ways. That's always a plus when you've been on the road for 10 days or so and are feeling the wear and tear on travel and bougie food. For Entree's, he ordered a salad which looked amazing, and I ordered the blackened redfish and swapped the sides for fries and carrots. The fries were absolutely amazing, as was the redfish. So good... I wish the carrots were mushier (more mushy?). That's a personal preference. Waitress #2 highly recommended the carrot cake and assured us she wouldn't pass judgment on two dudes sharing dessert. I'm glad she did as it was one of the lightest and best carrot cakes I've ever had. And the carrots WERE mushy here. Then she had the entire kitchen staff come out and laugh at us for sharing (ok, she didn't, but that would have been classic). I enjoyed my time in Bend and this place would be on my list for a repeat visit if I'm ever here again. Loved it!
