I had the brie ham sandwich. Had to take half home. The bread was extraordinary made a huge difference. Chips were delicious. Tasted homemade. I'm not sure. Service was excellent appreciated education on size of portions, etc. The ambience is typical of a resort café. Small tables, comfortable surroundings tables on the porch on sunny days. We gave Cafe Sintra another try, partly because there are very few breakfast spots in Sunriver, but also because they have a great menu and vibe. Service was great! I got the spinach crepe and the hubs got a con carne hash or skillet (I can't find it on the online menu so I don't know the exact name). The crepe was very tasty and felt healthy. There was an A+ cup of fruit with none of the melon filler that you usually get. The hubs said the skillet was very tasty. Very cute brunch spot with massive pastries! It took a lot of will power to not get one...but maybe I should have. Inside is open with lots of big tables for large groups, cozily decorated for the Fall. Their drip coffee was tasty and served in a gigantic mug which I love. The Brie Cheese Omlette was nice, full of sauteed mushrooms and gooey cheese back lacked some seasonings. Cafe Sintra is the cafe you dream about encountering when you are traveling and looking for the perfect hometown vibe and outstanding food that makes you wish you had this gem back home. Since my sister's family and my family ate there, we tried just about everything on the breakfast menu. Definitely get the French toast. The pancakes are also super good. We loved the eggs Benedict and we also loved the omelette we ordered. My son loved his breakfast hash. The homemade potatoes are amazing. And as if all the different things we were ordering weren't enough we decided to get one of their homemade cookies as well, and that did not disappoint. The staff is super friendly and welcoming. On this particular trip my husband is fasting so he just ordered coffee and inquired about the soup of the day. He explained to our server that he was fasting & she shared the ingredients of the soup (spaghetti squash, onions, coconut milk, puréed) so he could make an informed decision. Then she brought us a sample of the soup to try, which was so kind. I ordered the Prego sandwich, which consists of marinated steak, onions and cheese on their homemade bread which was so hearty, super tasty and the steak was perfectly sliced so that it was easy to eat. We went in for breakfast, which we've had there before and it was amazing. Unfortunately we missed the cut off so we decided to try their lunch with uninspiring results. Three of us ordered sandwiches and while their fresh bread was a highlight, the rest of the sandwiches were bland and over priced. My son had the tacos and even though he said he was starving, he only ate two of the three provided. All in it was over $100 for 4 basic/bland lunches and we'll skip them next time we visit Sunriver. read more

They looked so good so we got some to go after breakfast- can confirm that they taste just as good as they look. We got the cream croissant with fresh strawberries, chocolate croissant, and the cinnamon roll that's about the size of my face (if not bigger!) They give you warm toasted olive bread with this very delicious raspberry jam to share for the table. Our group got a variety of drinks and food entrees and everyone enjoyed what they ordered. Lots of meat, very filling and nothing surprising. All the dishes had a nice presentation also.
