My partner had an amazing steak sandwich with melted cheese and sautéed goodness with a tasty mixed berry & mixed greens salad. I want to thank our cheerful and accommodating waiter Jaime for excellent service and offering the gazpacho soup sample with bread, to know if we wanted to go with soup of the day or salads. I'd describe the vibe as a country-chic eclectic one with beautiful wood furnishings, but I must come back to the food, specifically the bread... it was like homemade bread made by my grandmother! I love this place! It's loved by locals (myself) and tourists alike. I usually get the eggs Benedict, it has great flavor and filling. I usually walk away with half of it to go for the next day. The servers are so kind and friendly. Beautiful setting with great views of the neighborhood deer. The servers will usually throw out some fruit/vegetable scraps from the kitchen outside and the deer come right up and eat them. We got to the restaurant at opening (7am) on a Friday and had the place to ourselves. The server(/owner?) called us "my lovies" and "dears;" it was quite charming. Loved the interior and chose a bay-type window seat to enjoy the view of greenery outside. Ordered chai and coffee that were both very good. For breakfast, my husband got the Omelette Special, which consisted of bacon, grilled onions, green chiles, Swiss cheese, topped with avocado hollandaise. Not seeing my perfect combo, I chose French toast, one egg, and Sintra (lightly seasoned home style) potatoes from the sides menu for a total of $14. All was delicious and we wished we had time to return to try the linguica omelette and some pancakes too. read more

We celebrated Mother's Day brunch here for the first time. It was a busy morning but got seated in a reasonable amount of time. Food was amazing. Not your typical pancake breakfast. I've been going there for around 5 years. Quality, consistency, and excellent service. Love their Vanilla Latte and breakfast dishes. It's hard not to get something from the pastry case on the way out. It shows that they are doing good work because their wait times can be long during the busy season. Cute little Cafe with gorgeous homemade pastries. The cinnamon roll id gigantic!! They have amazing coffee and Chai. We were treated with so much kindness by our server. We came down from Ray Atkeson trail behind Mt. Bachelor. Cafe Sintra seems to be a perfect place for a quick bite. We had the mixed green salads, and chicken stew (based on the Portugal receipt). Was visiting Sunriver and needed a breakfast spot that was close by and had more than just pastries. After searching on Yelp, we found this spot. We arrived to find quite a few people waiting outside, and were told it would be about 1/2 wait. The hostesses were super friendly and nice and the place looked good so we decided to wait. We got seated timely and Haley was our waitress. She was also so friendly and had a smile on her face the entire time. Food was good, the mimosa with fresh juice was great, and we enjoyed it all. My wife and I had breakfast on November 3, 2024, about 7:30 in the morning. It was so cold in the restaurant, and we had to wear a coat as well as all the employees. The real problem was when we were served our breakfast both of our meals were lukewarm. We brought this to our waitress attention. The owner/manager came to our table to apologized and gave us a 20% discount which we thanked her for talking to us about. We were staying at Sunriver for our vacation, but we decided to go elsewhere for our breakfast the next day. We decided to go back on November 5th to try again for breakfast at about 8ish. Well, that was a mistake. This time the food was hot which is what I would have expected being the only two people in the restaurant. There were 4 waitresses on duty this morning. We were served our food in a timely manner. The problem arose when no one checked on us to see if our food was good, no one filled my glass of water, as I drink a lot of water. I had to finally go up to the counter to interrupt the nonstop babblings of employees amongst each other to request more coffee which was overly delayed in receiving. Our bill was $63, and we were so upset at the way we were treated we'll probably not go back on our next vacation to Sunriver. So, thank you staff for a $63 lousy experience. read more

The building is cute, decorated nicely. Lots of space inside and tables outside. Many different table sizes. Unfortunately service was incredibly slow (many tables open, but still a wait). Server brought our food and gave us our bill, never checked on us. Coffee and hot chocolate came with our meals. I am a coffee lover but theirs is incredibly bitter. $4 for a tiny cappuccino. Hot chocolate was undrinkable, they put colored sugars on top without asking and it flavors the drink in a bad way. Never told us water was self service. Omelets had strange flavors we tried the goat cheese and Brie neither of us liked them. Kids had pancakes and waffles they were fair. Bathrooms were dirty. Far overpriced for what you get (even for the Sunriver area). $78 for what is pictured. Would not give them another try. read more

Amazing chai tea latte! Definitely recommend for breakfast. Only thing we thought was odd is that we ordered a plate of French toast and it only came with 3 slices. What happened to the fourth piece?? Just seemed odd since we paid close to $18 for the plate with eggs and ham. The quality and flavor of everything was delicious. We stopped here not long ago during our stay in SR. We didn't have to long of a wait on a mid Saturday morning. The bakery items that I saw while we were waiting looked delicious. In fact we had just missed our friends in the parking lot. They stopped in to get some bakery items on their way up to snowboard. I studied the menu while we waited, it still took me a while to figure out what I wanted because showing up while hungry, you tend to want everything you see. Or anything sounds good. I decided on peppermint tea, and the eggs Benedict. My guy ordered a ham, and cheese omelet which he ended up having to send back because it had mushrooms on it. I guess when you ask for just ham and cheese it comes with everything else anyway. So you really have to be specific while ordering, or you will get what you do not want. My order was fine. The eggs Benedict was average, and the potatoes. Eh. Nothing to write home about. Basically forgettable. When in SR again I am sure I will be back given there are not many options. Best kept secret in Sunriver! The employees are friendly and the food is delicious. Plus it's named for my favorite town in Portugal.

Arrived this morning at 11:24 for breakfast (which supposedly is served until 11:30, but for some reason stopped today at 11:24am). I would think, if a party of six (with at least a $100 walkout) you would find a way accommodate some eggs in a pan a little past 11:30. Im especially silly disappointed because I mentioned to the host that I have a swallowing disability where breakfast foods are more accommodating. Pretty crappy accommodating. A great location being right next to the Sunriver Lodge, but from the very limited menu (no chicken fried steak) to the silverware with green food left on the knife that was delivered in a cup with a used (appeared) napkin this one of those 'at least we tried it'. My over-medium eggs came very well one (when flipped over one looked over-hard & scrambled). I had the 'steak' and eggs. The meat was thin and tasted like Korean short rib meat, good but an odd taste with everything else so regular. My husband did like his green chili omelet, but with bland coffee it was all just limited, basic and not as sanitary as I'd hoped with CV-19. read more
