After waiting 45 min when it was quoted 20 because they inadvertently crossed off our name off and started seating people before us, the food is nothing to complain about, it's good. Stuff happened but when we called attention to it there was, no apology and she even rolled her eyes when we pointed it out. People that don't care about the customer don't deserve to have them even if the food is good. I had breakfast here today with my sister. I ordered the French toast trio and she had the salmon Benedict. I didn't know it was possible to make French toast taste this good!! I often prefer French toast and have tried many different varieties of it but this one takes the cake!! It was not your basic French toast, the bread they use and the batter that soaks into the bread, it's something special and I don't know how to describe it. The salmon eggs Benedict was delectable! We decided on Cafe Sintra after seeing the Yelp rating. We took the shuttle over from Sunriver Resort early enough to beat the breakfast crowd. We immediately discovered that you go up to the coffee bar if you want water or coffee...this is brilliant! People are so picky about their coffee drinks, this just makes sense. We decided to share a dish, but add on some linguica sausage and I just had to try a Bread Puddin' muffin. They brought this awesome pile of bread to prepare for the big meal first. We ordered the Sintra Trio Con Carne...it was decent, but not the best we've ever had. That bread puddin' muffin though...man, I had that as a snack to nosh on for the next couple of days. It is summer. It was busy. It was worth the 20 min. Wait. Wait staff was fast and efficient. I had the Doce Apple sandwich. Photo attached from the half I took home for later. It came with kettle chips. I understand the bread is baked on site. I'd order this sandwich again. I was also eyeing my daughters Italiano sandwich. I think I'll have to go back for one of those. We also had a large iced chai, also a made in house recipe. Delicious, refreshing and not too sweet. With it being busy season, the interior of the restaurant us really really loud. I bought a gift card as a birthday present and immediately lost it on the way home. I called Cafe Sintra and they were so helpful and kind and replaced it the next day. I had the receipt, so they could cancel the original transaction, but were willing to get me sorted even on a busy Sunday morning. The Sinatra is a lovely place to visit for lunch or breakfast if you are in Sunriver! It feels very cute and quaint inside, the service is so friendly and the food is to die for!! Everything was abbbbsolutely delicious with some of the highlights being their French toast, roasted potatoes and omelet! I would highly recommend arriving around peak meal times, especially on the weekends or getting their very early as they get super busy during these times and the wait may be long. read more

Limited seating and gets very busy at times with long waits. I really enjoyed this place before covid19 and it's still a great place for lunch and/or brunch. They do have sit down service if you want to eat there. They have tables both outside and inside. Currently right now due to covid-19 they're not handing out menus they have one large menu up front and they ask that you take a photo of it on your phone. They also do take out which is really nice if you want to have a treat at home. They're Benedicts are amazing. The waffle is also really good. The omelets are good they're not the best I've had but they're still worth it. Word of advice if you're going here on a weekend be willing to wait. It can be an hour away on Saturday and Sundays and if it's during a holiday it can also be really busy and be a long wait for food. That includes takeout to orders unfortunately. Although it is good food if you don't want to cook and it's also a great family restaurant. read more

The last two times I've visited Cafe Sintra the staff has been very pleasant. The food is always incredible especially the potatoes!

My friend and I experienced such rude service before we even ordered that we left. We were left waiting before being seated for a considerable time while one of the staff kept barking at us that she'd be right with us. We were never greeted. The server was condescending about my question regarding the sandwich and salad combo. She was almost accusatory to my friend about the fact that we had been provided with 3 place settings in error by the previous employee. read more

This review is purely for management, if they'd like to make any improvements, here's an observation of a customer. As for customers, I recommend this place! Regardless of minor things listed below, we had a nice time. First when we walked in our experience wasn't great. The hostess working 7.24.17 in the morning was standing behind her stand doing something that was more important than greeting customers. (I think she was on her phone?) As someone who worked as a hostess when I was a teenager, this would be unacceptable. After about a minute of standing there talking with my husband whether we should seat ourselves or wait to be seated, she finally came up and quietly greeted us. Then she sat us by the door (in a half empty restaurant with outside seating) to a small table. No asking wether or not we want to sit outside, no interest in what we wanted at all. Once she left we took our stuff and asked the nearest server to see if there's any outside seating, and would you look at that! Now I am sitting at a big table outside facing the beauty of Sunriver. The service we had wasn't really helpful, she didn't go over the menu or asked if we've been there before, no recommendations or guidance. This is where Yelp came to the rescue with all the photos lol otherwise she was nice. Now food. The eggs Benedict was prepared incorrectly, the yolks of the poached eggs were not runny but rather done well. Like for deviled eggs. For almost $15 you'd think they'd get it right, or maybe charge a bit less :) The sauce was delicious and the potatoes had plenty of spices and flavor to them. Self serve coffee was surprisingly good. Assorted toast was nice and crispy with butter and jam. Overall experience was about 3.5 stars but since you can't do that on Yelp I'll put 4 in hopes of them improving the dish that they have taking 1/4 of the menu :) read more

Good food options and the food was tasty....but, we didn't feel very liked and welcomed by the Young girl workers . Maybe a warmer vibe from the girl-workers could attract more people to come back, because nobody likes to feel dumb or silly for their questions about the menu .
