Cock-A-Doodle-Doo (Tom Yum Goong Bisque Mousse)* **

Who would have known that I'd find some of the best Thai I've had in a long time in Bend Oregon? Thjs place reminded me why I love Thai Food when it's done well. The Cock-a-doodle-doo tom yum eggs were so delicious. One of my favorite things I've eaten all year. I also enjoyed the salad bites. The curry was also excellent. The lamb was nice and tender. Drinks were pretty good as well. Ate at the bar and the service was great.

Fancy, cool looking restaurant. Nice waitstaff. Pretty quick service. I've just had a lot of Thai food and I know you can get massaman curry as good or better from a cheap hole in the wall Thai place. Really average food.

We frequent this place numerous times per year, including dinners and happy hours. never been disappointed here. Food is delicious, and you can adjust your spice level. One of my favorite dishes is the crispy garlic chicken. Service is always good.

Really loved this place. The menu is creative and modern while still being genuinely delicious, which is not always easy to find. Usually with more innovative fusion-style dishes, I'll try them once just for the experience and not necessarily come back, but this is a spot I'd happily visit again to try more of the menu. We honestly didn't have a bad dish. Everything was flavorful, well done, and the crab noodle was easily our favorite. The atmosphere was also really nice. I'm only visiting Bend for a ski trip, but I already know I'll be back next time. Highly recommend.

Beautiful setting and lovely decor in this restaurant. Gets busy but it still feels intimate with the tables well separated by some partitions. Parking is right in front (2hrs max) if you are lucky to find a spot, or otherwise there is plenty to be found in the area. I had the Bangkok Red Curry with chicken which had a nice kick to it at spice level 2, with a big bowl of Jasmine rice. My friend had a vegan eggplant dish and a bowl of brown rice. Both looked good too. Service was friendly and he explainer everything well for my vegan friend. It took a while for drinks and dinner to arrive and my dish was a bit Luke-warm instead of piping hot (so I am subtracting one star) and my friend found a hair in her dish (yikes!!) it's a bit pricey for Thai food in general.

I came across this place going through Yelp and I had no idea you needed to make reservations as they are so busy! However, the host was so kind and was able to find a table for two. We were seated within 5 minutes. The restaurant was definitely busy but all employees were on their too game. Our waitress Sabiha was extremely kind and efficient. She checked on our table quite often throughout our dinner. We ordered crab ragoon wontons and they were delicious! So crispy! My Thai tea was 10/10 - I decided I'm going back for one before I leave Bend. Our plates were good portions. My husband got spice level 3 for garlic chicken and he ended up needing more spice. So if you love spicy food, I would go with a level 4 or 5. I ordered the black noodles with shrimp and they were amazing! Plenty of shrimp and filling! I also would have liked more spice so recommend level 3 over 2 for some kick! Overall food was amazing, service was great and honestly worth the price! Definitely a favorite next time we are in town.

We tried this while visiting Oregon for the weekend. We were having some trouble finding a place to eat on a Sunday night during a long weekend and luckily Noi Thai was able to accommodate our large group. The food was amazing. Everything we tried was great. We especially liked the crispy garlic chicken. The service was also great. The staff was willing to remake a drink we didn't like which we appreciated. There was a decent amount of parking available, but it is a downtown area so I wouldn't be surprised if it gets packed.

Garlic chicken and red curry- happy hour specials. about 12 bucks each.

2:30-5:30 happy hour daily including weekends. The 10 dollar cocktail of the night was a delightful martini- not too strong but absolutely delicious. The garlic chicken and red curry were awesome. But the garlic chicken was better. My only sore point with the visit was that she gave us the option of four different rice to come with our meals but neglected to mention that the sticky rice was an up charge. The coconut rice which was included was way better anyway. The restaurant is upscale and a bit pricier than other Thai restaurants in the area. But all in all, great experience.

We had a party of 8 people and they were able to accommodate us before our reservation time. Staff were super friendly! They had plenty of seating, lighting and overall nice ambiance. We got a variety of dishes like panang curry, pineapple chicken fried rice, crispy garlic chicken, pad see ew, pad kee mao. Everything was tasty and delicious! The panang curry was served in a coconut and they brought out the coconut water. After the curry was finished you could kind of scoop out the coconut to enjoy. The pineapple fried rice was served in half a charred pineapple which was excellent presentation. Lots of food, portions were a good size. The spice levels are pretty accurate so a 4 spice level out of 5 was actually a 4. Whereas in some Thai restaurants the 4 is actually a 2 or a 3. The only thing we didn't enjoy was the Thai iced tea which was too sweet and they couldn't adjust the sweetness for us. Would definitely be back here if I'm in the area and now want to go try the Noi Thai in Seattle!

The owners closed up shop downtown and created this new place on 2nd Street in Bend's Central District. It's now called Dogwood at the Pine Shed. Why Yelp won't create a new, distinct page for the Pine Shed is beyond me. That said, the Pine Shed is a fine place for drinks and food truck fare. The open, spacious 'shed' has plenty of varied seating surrounding a nice bar with quite a few tables outside on the patio. Mobility-challenged folks have choices too. For those worried about 2nd Street's reputation for sketchiness, don't be. Revitalization efforts by the city have transformed the area. At times of good weather, with the big doors open, the Pine Shed is quite a nice spot to relax. Cocktails were the raison d'etre for the former incarnation of Dogwood and that emphasis transfers here to the Pine Shed. I particularly like their versions of a margarita but the other cocktails are uniformly good too. The beer tap offerings are not so spectacular, however, with only four (and a cider). On one visit shortly after they opened for business, two beer taps were tapped out, which can be chalked up to growing pains. In any case, the Pine Shed can't be seriously regarded as a tap house in the style of the many others in Bend (On Tap, River's Place, Crosscut, The Lot, The Podski, Midtown Yacht Club, etc.). Come for the cocktails. They do offer low ABV and zero ABV drinks. At present, the food truck choices are abundant and pretty decent. Being trucks/carts, and thus mobile and prone to relocating themselves, I'll not list them here. Best to check the Pine Shed's webpage for current offerings and then go to the relevant Yelp page for reviews. Parking is street only, no parking lot. The city has completed construction on 2nd Street so there are more spots available than before.

The menu isn't very large and I think we both settled on choices quickly, deciding to try the most "quintessential" entrees to share. I chose the Blackened Redfish, and my boyfriend the Jambalaya. Even though we had already decided, the waitress went on her whole spiel through the menu highlights, including what we had already had planned to order. Awkward, but it was fine, and we didn't stray from our original choices. The Blackened Redfish was perfectly cooked and flaky. It was served on a bed of mashed potatoes with a slightly tangy sauce. All of it was tasty, but I was a bit disappointed in the lack of spice to the blackening seasoning and the sauce. Also, serving it on grits instead of mashed potatoes would have made it feel 100% more Cajun, even with lack of seasoning. The Jambalaya fared a bit better, although my boyfriend was also left puzzled by the lack of spice to this classic dish. In all ways it was a very good representation of New Orleans style red jambalaya, with the andouille sausage being particularly notable for flavor. The cornbread it came with was pretty good. We shared a piece of chocolate cake for dessert. A very decadent concoction of chocolate, peanut butter, and caramel. It was one of the better $12 slices of cake I've had. Overall? The service was good, if not a bit awkward with the menu spiel. The food was all very well prepared, but for a Cajun style restaurant they sure could stand to spice things up a bit. It's not cheap, but at least the entrees are a full sized meal and you don't have to order many "tiny plates" to cobble together a dinner.
