The Lot brought together a lot of friends while we sat at the lot. A good number of food carts with variety as well as lots of space to sit. This is a great place for large and small parties. I also enjoyed the aesthetic of the main seating area with the carts surrounding it. I enjoyed the spot with tacos and the bowls. Very yummy for your tummy. read more

We were here over Spring Break with friends and their family and this was a great place where everybody - parents and teenagers - could order what they wanted from a different food truck. We ordered at least one dish from every food truck here, and were happy with all of them! My favorite was Maki Maki Sushi. We ordered the shrimp tempura poke bowl, the shrimp tempura rolls, and the gyoza. All so flavorful and delicious! They were also fast and friendly. The best part about this food cart pod: lots of seating in a covered space with heat lamps AND heated tables! Every food cart pod should have be set up like this! We'll be back for sure. read more

We came to the area for the laundry mat across the street. It started to rain so we ducked into The Lot. Very nice sitting area with a bar. Grabbed a glass of wine & ordered from the Fricken Faco truck. The heaters were on & made it very cozy. Bartender was very nice & helpful. They even had candy out for customers to enjoy. read more

This is a great idea. Setting in the middle of some nice food trucks that offers a variety of foods. It's kinda an outdoor adventure. A tap house at one end brings it all together. It gets cold up here so they have a variety of heating devices that includes a heated bench seat for your butts. My grandsons loved it...or maybe it's just me:) read more

The LOT is a collection of 4 food trucks featuring: Fricken Faco (fried chicken), A La Carte (Tacos), Burgz N Dogs (burgers & hot dogs), and Greek Street (gyros). Decided on Fricken Faco and went up to their window and saw a sign that from 4-6pm closed for prepping. It was about 4:10pm. Very disappointing as the other 3 trucks were opened for business. It's dinner time and buzzing and they were closed. Anyways, settled for A La Carte and ordered 4 shredded chicken tacos and 1 order of the Carne Asada Fries. The drive back from the Lot to our hotel was only 5 mins and we ate immediately but it was already cold. The chicken was cold and so were the fries. Disappointed as we waited about 15 mins for our order for cold food. The taste however was very good and I would recommend A La Carte still. Amazing staff. But the food is mediocre at best. They don't have outlets so you can't come get work done, they don't have any tvs for sports or to play ski or snowboard videos. They used to have the outside area much more comfortable with greenery and more shade. They have a code for the bathrooms that they change everyday. I just go to the yacht club now for better food and better vibe all around. I feel like whoever owns this place. Makes money and doesn't feel the need to improve this spot at all. We stumbled upon this gem and almost passed it by on this cold & rainy day in September. But we saw that there were several food truck lining the sides of this outdoor taproom that's located a block off the beaten path just west of the river. We decided to try the Japanese food truck and we didn't regret it. The hot miso was perfect on this cold day and the sushi rolls were excellent. They have over a dozen beers on tap but they also offer wine & cider. Something for everyone with great service to boost. The outdoor seating is inviting even on cold & rainy days like today. The heaters and the fire table definitely enhanced the ambience, but a really nice & unexpected surprise was the heated stone benches. What a great idea. So all in all good food, great beer and a nice atmosphere to boot for this outdoor taproom. Worth a visit even on a cold day. read more

Our first stop here at the Lot! Really hit the spot. We floated the river, walked over here from Drake park, grabbed our cold draft beer and tried the a la Carte menu. The white rice topped with shredded carnitas, green onion, cilantro, reddish, cabbage, curry sauce, and a little kick from their red sauce. It sure is a nice place to sit around outside in the shade and enjoy a variety of food trucks and the access to the beer tap. We will come back soon! read more

Very cool spot to hang out during a hot day! There's a lot of food options including tacos, burgers, pizza, salad, and lots of beer. The vibes are very chill and fun for groups! The food didn't astound me too much though. Coming from San Diego, the tacos weren't amazing. The carne asada was incredibly dry and not juicy at all. The lemonade was so sweet that we poured it in two cups and filled them with half water but still too sweet to drink for any of us. But definitely fun place to hang out and drink beer :) read more

Pulled into town after a 32 hour trip hungry and ready to be out of the car. We chose the lot because we couldn't agree on food. We had fish tacos, carne Asada tacos and loaded fries and a burger and fries. Everyone was very happy with their meals and the interior seating was wonderfully comfortable as it was a little chilly outside. read more

This place was really cool. It was a beautiful day, perfect for eating outside. I ended up choosing A La Cart for lunch. I got a spicy shrimp taco and sweet potato curry fries. I'm not a big fan of sweet potato fries, but having them smothered in coconut curry sounded delicious. The cashier guy was chill and my food didn't take too long. I also got a Mexican Coke from a burger and hot dog cart since A La Cart didn't sell any. The shrimp tao was pretty good. The shrimps were clean and it had a nice spicy bite to it. I liked all the radish and cabbage toppings. The tortillas were fresh as well. The sweet potato curry fries were interesting. I liked the green coconut curry and the crispy fries. The radish, micro greens and sesame seed toppings were fresh and crunchy. There was some brown sauce on the fries too. I don't know what it was, but it tasted deep, sweet and of cinnamon. I didn't really like it. So everything was good with the fries except for the weird brown sauce. It was a nice lunch for everyone because we all got what we wanted. (tourist review) What's Good: enjoy the nice environment with beers and food at one of the food trucks. It's one of the half-dozen food truck pods in Bend. This one has heated seating on the benches which is a game-changer in the winter and cold spring months. It sounds simple but was SO nice to enjoy your food and drinks in the open air on a chilly day. There was about a dozen beers for us to choose from, many of them local. We ate at A La Carte food truck, which offered Mexican fusion. Most convivial food cart court experience anywhere and I come from Portlandia where food carts are everywhere. Like it! Like it here. Rain or shine, warm or cold. Rollup doors let the "Bend" me shape me breeze in. On a cold day close up the doors and turn on the ceiling heaters and the heaters in the seats and you'll be woozy cozy. Six food trucks on the Lot. I tried Thai food and it was really good. Also the burgers and dogs with Painted Hills beef looked good too. Check out the other food trucks and ask these questions. When eating anywhere anytime I always like to know the source of my food. Is it fresh from local farms or from the industrial food chain and/or CAFO confined animal feeding operations? Do they use pesticides? Is it GMO free? Do you care it organic practices are used? I care! Newly opened food pod at the cusp of an older, lower income, lower cost housing Bend residential neighborhood (that is also transitioning to vacation rentals) at roughly the intersection of Columbia and Hartford on the west side of town. Pros and cons here make me sum this up as OK but not a destination spot. With different strokes for different folks in mind, details follow. I'll leave it to readers to decide what is a pro or con for them. DESIGN: 1. With a nod to my Portland and Austin friends, I confess I do not get the huge food pods of Portland (in particular the one around 3rd and Washington) and Austin (in the Congress area). That I think the small size of The Lot is an advantage may not seem so to fans of mega-pods. Four carts here. 2. Covered eating area in a sort of food court "quad" set up behind the food trucks. 3. Food cart location is mostly accessible. a) Van accessible parking space behind the building. b) Surfacing of the food court is level and paved. c) Accessible entry off back and side of food court. Sadly and inexplicably, the main entrance over deep loose gravel is not. d) Each food truck is parked in a way that a small concrete pad at the front of each provides a firm surface at the order counter. 4. Public loos, one for men and one for women, at the back of the food court. Both accessible. SEATING: 5. Seating inside the food court quad is both regular height (hooray) separate tables and high perch bar height, long communal table. At lunchtime on the day of our visit every low table was taken by people of all ages and only a handful of folks were at the high bar communal set up. Yet, those communal high bars get installed again and again. Go figure. FOOD & LIBATIONS: 6. The four food carts currently installed involve one that produces OK food, two that produce so-so food and one that produces food I'd starve rather than eat. The best food, in fact the only really good food, of the mix is from a truck that is next to but not a part of the food pod. That really good food comes from Real Food Street Bistro. I recommend buying your food there and walking over to the food court to eat it. (Real Food's only drawback is the awful deep gravel lot behind in for eat in seating.) 8. About a dozen beers on tap are for sale in the food court / quad area. A big woohoo is as of later this afternoon they will be adding their first local hard cider to the mix. (Atlas Blackberry- Elderberry we are told. Will go back just for that.) Currently pints only, no growler sales. Very friendly guys work at the beer counter. NEIGHBORHOOD ISSUES: 9. This location is low on parking already given it often gets on street spillover from 10 Barrel. The food pod here makes it even more difficult to park or drive down these residential streets. Were I a resident of this neighborhood, I'd be not so happy. 10. The air at this pod location is heavy with the odor of grease and one cart in particular seems the contributor of that stench. Another thing that would make me not so happy were I a neighborhood resident. 11. Music on outdoor sound system was at a reasonable level. Nice. Hope they continue to do that in respect for the homeowners in neighborhood. read more
