Most convivial food cart court experience anywhere and I come from Portlandia where food carts are everywhere. Like it! Like it here. Rain or shine, warm or cold. Rollup doors let the "Bend" me shape me breeze in. On a cold day close up the doors and turn on the ceiling heaters and the heaters in the seats and you'll be woozy cozy. Six food trucks on the Lot. I tried Thai food and it was really good. Also the burgers and dogs with Painted Hills beef looked good too. Check out the other food trucks and ask these questions. When eating anywhere anytime I always like to know the source of my food. Is it fresh from local farms or from the industrial food chain and/or CAFO confined animal feeding operations? Do they use pesticides? Is it GMO free? Do you care it organic practices are used? I care! It's a local parking spot for food trucks - there are four spots. Parking nearby with open air seating, bus your own table. We look at menu and decided on Fricken Fraco - decent fried chicken, very crispy but sauce is missing something. Fish tacos were good. Really liked the brownie at another food truck. read more

Being a dedicated brewpub guy, food truck pods offer me a close substitute. Draft beer and decent, semi-fast food. The Lot is a solid example of the breed. The seating area is perhaps the best I've encountered - it's essentially a nice restaurant patio, as opposed to some others which are more picnic table oriented. Here, you have rows of tables along each side with a long center high-top. I like the full roof, too - it makes The Lot all-weather friendly and keeps the sun off you. Beer. That's why you're here, right? It is for me, so I appreciate the great selection of taps. And I like the use of proper pint glasses. No disposable cups here. $5 per pint. I haven't tried all the food trucks but so far, there have only been three in residence. On my first visit, I expected to try out Thailandia but it was gone. Frankly, given its slew of 1-star reviews due to abysmal, unfriendly service, maybe that's a good thing. Bend Burgz N Dogs, on the other hand, is great. Recommended. read more

Fun place with a decent beer selection and currently 4 completely different food trucks. The seating can be difficult on busy nights but the service is fast and leaves nothing to be desired. On cold Bend nights even mid April I'd like to see more fire or heated seats. With the temp drops it makes it a bit difficult if you're trying to find a table for 2, but that's a small critique on a great overall place. Keep up the good work and I'm really excited for our next sushi outing. read more

The Lot is a collection of food trucks with an outdoor courtyard where you can sit down and eat your food. I came here for dinner on a summer evening and had a pretty good time. I grabbed a hamburger (and also had a bite of a hot dog) from the burger truck and a beer from the bar. Finding a table was a little tough because the place is very popular. But I finally was able to grab a seat and enjoyed the people-watching and family-friendly (and dog-friendly) atmosphere. My burger was good; nothing to write home about but definitely delicious. Like other food courts, the variety of food here is an advantage, but also makes the place tough to review since it's hard to give a rating that applies to every food truck, and the bar, and the courtyard. However, I would definitely recommend coming by here to try out the different food trucks and enjoy a nice summer evening outside. read more

Like it and love it!!! Seems like the sweet spot is here folks!! Four very different food trucks and the beer garden gazebo has heated benches for the winter and beautiful breezes in the summer -- dogs everywhere and that's not a bad thing I've never seen any of them miss behave and they're all cute! The food is wonderful at the burger place, the double Dekker bus has great fish tacos and the food truck on the corner has a beautiful salad and skinny fries!!! I haven't tried the Giro place but it's always busy -- after going here for two years I can say it's only gotten better - Yay!!!! read more

Five stars for a simple, fun, and solidly executed concept. As a food truck fan, I'd heard a lot about The Lot from friends in Bend. They'd rave about the array of trucks on site, the heated seating area in the winter, and the awesome selection of taps available at all times. So when I realized I was staying nearby, I knew just what I would be checking out when it came time for supper. I didn't quite know what to expect, and as Apple maps directed me, I realized I was leaving the city and heading into the heart of a neighborhood! I'm a sucker for these urban food projects, and when I saw amazing residences with tons of character surrounding The Lot, I got really excited. How cool must it be to live right near a spot like this? I mean, they play great tunes, have an amazing selection of beer, and a wide variety of food to choose from. A quick night out or a lazy night in is made so easy by having this steps from your front door. I so wish more cities would take note and create opportunities like this for their residents. read more

Portland food card pods can learn a lot from The Lot! This centrally located cart pod really got it right. There are 5-6 carts stationed around the perimeter of the square at any given time. Currently the selection includes: Real Food Street Bistro, Thailanda, a la carte, Burgz and Dogz and Big Ski's Pierogies. The central focus of the square is an awesome industrial-style partially enclosed and covered, garage seating area with a variety of tables and high-boy seating. And, the finishing touch that really sells this for me is the heated benches (Cold, rainy Portland, take note here, this is a must for outdoor seating areas)! I totally enjoy hanging out here on a chilly fall afternoon with a seriously warm toosh. It's kind of heavenly. There is also the lot taps counter that serve a variety of beers, ciders and kombucha as well as cute Lot merch. They always seem to be playing some version of an Indie Rock station on the speakers, which is just my kind of music, and have a pretty awesome Tuesday night trivia event. I love the Lot, I've been a fan since the get go. That said, with only three food carts right now, the pickings are little slim. I'm a big fan of one of the carts, think another is overpriced and the third has service that soooo slow. Great beer selection with nice people behind the counter. I think the seating is good, I like it. Some shared seating, some individual tables and mostly covered seating with heated seats in the winter. This place is always kept clean. They also have quite a few events including Trivia night and live music. It's a fun atmosphere. This is a great option is you are looking to go out at the last minute and don't want to try and beat the lines at some of the restaurants downtown. Family and dog friendly. read more

On a recent vacation to Bend, the visitors center suggested that we pop over to the food trucks for a quick lunch. Such a great suggestion! We had a great little drive over, getting to see the pretty park and some cool neighborhoods. With a great variety of food styles to choose from, from Hawaiian to Hispanic to organic, we were happy girls. We both settled on the RealFood truck, which was manned by two hilarious guys, offering us help to decide on our orders. With a friend who is highly sensitive to gluten, they had no problem making sure her food was gluten-free. I ordered the Dilly Beans with their house remoulade sauce, and she picked the sticky chicken. I ordered a beer from the bar, which had a decent number of options, although none of them were hugely unusual. The seating area is fabulous. There's a pub height long table and a number of smaller round tables and picnic tables, many under the large awning. It was a little chilly, so they had heat lamps kicking. People-watching is awesome here! Prices and portion sizes were very reasonable, which was great for two vacationers who had been eating at sit-down restaurants for several days and just wanted something easy on our tummies and wallets. The Lot is the little sister who grew up to be waaay cooler than the big sister. The big sister (PDX Food Truck Pods etc) eventually just became jaded, wore too much eye shadow and acted like a real jerk. Awesome place! Food trucks, beer, and live music. What more can you ask for? I got the Fish Tacos, and the Loaded Sweet Potato Fries. The taco didn't impress me. I think they mixed up my order and gave me something else cause they where busy. The fries where Very good. It was loaded with a lot of stuff including curry and beets. My friend ordered the Pad Thai from the Thailandia truck. She said it was sooo spicy, she couldn't eat it. I just wish they had more food trucks to choose from. The lot is a great place to head after you've worked up an appetite on the river or heading down from the ski hill. It might sound crazy to head to an outdoor spot on a winter day but The Lot has done it right with heated seats and a great fire pit. Stopped for a quick bite to eat and that's exactly what we got! I went to Greek Street and was greeted by a very kind woman who helped me right away and brought me my Gyro. I got the regular Greek Gyro which comes with lamb meat, cucumber sauce, onions, tomatoes & option of feta cheese on pita bread. It was super good! Only downside it was the pre-sliced lamb meat, not the kind that they cut off of a big hunk of meat that's circling around (I'm not sure how else to explain it haha) but it was still very good. My mom went to Burgz & Dogz & got a cheeseburger with fries (very quick as well!) Overall great experience, fast service & good food. We'll have to try the other two food carts next time & maybe get a beer if we have time at the taproom. Great place to eat at if you're bad at making decisions on a single place. read more

Super torn on how to review because I love the lot itself and normally things are great but last time we went the Burgz and Dogz food cart left us sour on the experience. I realize it's not your fault if your food trucks have terrible customer service but I would suggest you look at their reviews and consider opening the space to another food truck. Your employees of the lot are great! I wish the glasses weren't often warm but I understand. Also the water is usually warm in the summer, if possible place an ice water bucket out as well. Our family loves this spot! Food trucks and ambiance are great! Fricken Faco is one of our favorites but sometimes a Wasabi Dog from Bend Burger is in order.. We like the bench heaters and fire pits in the winter and cold beers and sake in the summer. The dude behind the bar is great, Grant I think? This Sunday however was an older lady we hadn't seen before. She might need a little more training on serving drinks? She cracked my wife's sake without a chilled glass. I mean who drinks sake out of the bottle? When she asked for a chilled glass, the lady grabbed a pint glass that was warm already on the counter. Dirty maybe? I mean, its not a big deal but it always had come with a chilled short glass. When she went back to the counter to ask for a Chilled short glass, the lady was having a full on conversation that lasted a while. A line had started forming behind her and no acknowledgment from the lady behind the bar. Meanwhile, the wife and a guy behind her said forget it and left the line. I mean this cant be good for sales? We'll be back of course because we absolutely love this spot but we'll be more wary of the new lady. read more
