The HOUSEMADE FOCACCIA with whipped butter was delicious. We also ordered the snails, crab, and meatballs for apps and all were quite good. For main I ordered GNOCCHETTI ALLA NORCINA which was 7.5/10. Enjoyed but thought the cream sauce could have been a little thicker/creamier. The side of broccolini 10/10, so good! Date cake 10/10. Pear spritz for drink was also tasty did not taste like pear at all tho.

Where do you go when you have 4 people from LA with different dietary restrictions and a thirteen year old all needing a delicious meal? BOSA is the answer. We loved the wine, dirty martinis, gluten free options, meatballs, salad, and a bottle of red. The wine menu provided tons of options and the waitress / som was able to help guide us from start to finish in less than 10 minutes ordering time... that's a huge win for this group. We had an early 5 pm res on a Tuesday but the place was packed.. now I understand why. Will be back, loved the ambiance, energy, and everything was mouth watering.

We decided to go here for a late dinner while on the way home from Crater Lake. We made the perfect choice! The food was really good, and our server was very friendly. We ordered the cheese fondue, grilled calamari, tagliatelle, ravioli, and the panna cotta. The cheese fondue was on their specials menu, but it wasn't a real fondue as it wasn't served in a communal pot. It was good though, and the bread that came with was also very good. The grilled calamari was served in skewers, which was unexpected. It was a bit on the salty side, but it was better with the creme and vinaigrette. Both pasta dishes were excellent! I loved the panna cotta too. Definitely a must have! So glad we went here for dinner. We were starving, and everything we had hit the spot!

Very cute and classy! Service was phenomenal. Food was eclectic but very tasty! Definitely get a reservation beforehand. Drinks and entrees were amazing! Dessert wasn't as good but still tasty Ordered: Pera-tini: also strong, but the flavor was amazing Hazelnut Martini: strong but very good Focaccia: maybe some of the best I've ever had. The butter and herbs were amazing as well Ravioli: on their seasonal menu. Amazing! Casarecce: the cold tomato's threw me off, but by the end I really enjoyed it Warm Toffee Date Cake: tasty but so sweet Mousse au Chocolat: very rich. If you love dark chocolate would love this

The lamb is killer - definitely order! So tasty and not too gamey tasting

A must stop for us anytime we come to Bend. We never plan well enough in advance to get a reservation (which is fine for 2 people approx 20 min wait vs 4 people is about an hour for walk ins) We didn't order it this time but the branzino is always my go to - I love a whole fried / grilled fish and eating it like a monster, haha. My dessert caption was too long so here it is: Honey Basque cheesecake (top right - too dense personally) Warm Toffee Date Cake top left- (amazing, no notes) Honey Lavender Panacotta (contrast in textures was delightful)

From the moment we arrived everything was perfect! The food is outstanding and so is the service! The outside seating is quaint and quiet so you can hear each other talk. The bread, meatballs, drinks and pasta are all 5 stars!

Sat on the patio and had wonderful, fast service. Beautiful atmosphere with attentive waitstaff!

Outstanding!! We went to dinner at BOSA for the very first time after many visits to Bend and now we will always for sure return to this beautiful restaurant. We truly had an extraordinary dinner, where every taste of the dishes we ordered was delicious. We first chose the focaccia and meatball as appetizers. Yelp reviews recommended both and they were perfect starters. The focaccia and whipped butter was amazing as were the meaty, hearty-flavored meatballs. The sauce, incredibly fresh and perfect marinara. Then we had the tagliatelle bolognese which rivaled any bolognese in Italy that we've had. The housemade pasta noodles were also incredible. Wow. Our last course was the whole-fried branzino with an olive-type tapenade to top it off. It was served with the best whipped/mashed potatoes that were also incredible! This was an exquisite dish, it's very special! For dessert my hubby had his favorite dessert---affogato with vanilla ice cream. He noticed right away that the coffee used was delicious. And the Bonta vanilla ice cream was a perfect accompaniment to this iconic dessert. We also had the chocolate mousse and that was a divine dessert. The dessert chef has mastered the consistency and flavors of this simple but complex delicacy! Chocolate lovers will agree! The service from Drew was an element that made the whole dining experience memorable and fantastic. He was genuinely caring, respectful, friendly and thoroughly knowledgeable about the menu. He clearly loves the food there, his fellow staff and the chefs and serving at BOSA. It's one of the BEST dinner outings we've had, ever. We will always return. We now love BOSA!

Excellent food. Would definitely return. Service was friendly and, overall, very good. They did get overwhelmed at one point when the restaurant was full with the first round of seating and the wine service was a little too slow. First world problems.

Delicious craft cocktails, inventive food, exceptional service. We were happily seated at the bar. Our bartender Drew made great suggestions. He was also professional and friendly. I thoroughly enjoyed the Cardaperol. We ate somewhat light- hot, tasty, generous French Fries, sans truffle oil; a bolognese style pasta; a mixed greens salad w candied pistachios, apple, cheese. The restaurant was intimate with an open yet warm ceiling. The only thing we weren't crazy about was the busboy asking us to clear main plates while we were still eating. Back off dude!!

We had their NYE dinner tasting menu, so it's a little different from their day to day menu, but nonetheless an amazing experience. Before coming, I recommend making a reservations days if not weeks in advance, as I've been told they can get booked quite fast and full. For the NYE tasting menu, I had a trifle (caviar, lobster, potato), agnolotti (raviolos with beef), steak, and a lemon cake with persimmons. Ambiance was amazing and the decor with black and gold really made you welcome the new year. They also had a few disco balls hang from the ceiling. Service is amazing as expected, with our server being more than happy to clarify menu questions and being very knowledgeable in wine recommendations. The restaurant was not big, but had an upscale, cozy intimate feeling to it, making it perfect for date nights and small group dinners. The food was overall really unique and flavorful - the trifle paired with the potato chips and caviar ended up having a very unique taste and flavor. By far everyone's favorite dish. There were 5 pieces of agnolotti, which felt a little small given the large plate. The sauce wasn't that noticeable, and a few people in my party agreed it tasted like microwaved Costco ravioli. For not being a steakhouse, the ribeye was cooked to exactly how you would want it, with the sauce being unique and well pairing. Overall had a very good experience with the staff and environment, and the majority of the food is excellent. Although being a little pricey, I feel like the occasion and experience makes it well worth the trip, especially for date nights. I would definitely come back here next time I'm in Bend to try their regular menu!

Good: Service is friendly and ambiance makes it seem more upscale. However don't be fooled since the food didn't match up to expectations. Bad: Incredibly overpriced for somewhat bland flavors. The hype did not satisfy at all. Major reevaluation needed on the dishes creativity and drink selection. Not shareable based on how dishes are prepared and the portion. We went with a large party of about 8. The waiter did a great job taking care of a large party. We went with an older crowd to catch up with former coworkers. The bill as you can imagine was astronomical. But even for folks that go out a lot to expensive places, it was way too high for them. Which tells me the price to value is not up to par with similar establishments. Much room for improvement. Wouldn't return unless they took a hard look at what they actually have to offer. Match the price to the value and we'll give it a shot.

Do they have a kid's menu? Thanks! Edited to add- thank you for the answers! I have dined there…

Hi Amanda, yes, we do have a kids menu available at the restaurant.

Do you take reservations for outdoor seating?

Hi R C., we do not take reservations for our outdoor patio. It is available on a walk-in basis.

Hi! What is your GF pasta made out of?

We import our gluten-free pasta. It is 100% organic corn pasta from Italy.

Can my dog sit out side with us?

Hi Mac, our patio is currently still closed for the winter. We usually open it spontaneously when the temperatures go above 60-65F. It's always good to give us a call and inquire. We love dogs and are looking forward to welcoming you both soon.

Can I get food to go?

You wouldn't want to. This food comes in courses to be savored and the timing and service are part of the experience you are paying for at this establishment. Just wait until you can take advantage of the whole experience.

    Outdoor dining available?

We do have outdoor seating available, weather and air quality dependent.

The homemade pasta is decent--I'll give them that, but I couldn't taste it apart from the bland sauces. Unfortunately the two dishes we ordered didn't live up to the hype. The Tagliatelle al Ragu' alla Bolognese had a ground-beef sauce that was strangely bland and under-salted. It tasted like it had been boiled just to cover up the lack of seasoning--honestly reminded me more of a basic canned chili than a rich, slow-cooked Bolognese. The Pappardelle alla Chiantigiana was even more disappointing. The sausage had that tired, old-sausage flavor, and the sauce (fennel, tomato, leeks, Chianti) never popped. Everything just kind of sat there on the plate. The ambiance was okay, but the restaurant was strangely packed. We called at 4:00 when they opened and had to reserve the soonest table at 8 PM, so none of it made any sense in the end. The complimentary bread was cold, which feels like such a simple thing to get right. And at $30 and $36 for medium-sized bowls of pasta, I expected a lot more wow for the price. I make better versions of both dishes at home on a regular Tuesday night. Maybe we caught an off night or our tastes just don't line up with the majority, but with 300+ reviews at 4.5 stars I was genuinely surprised. Won't be rushing back.

I started eating at The Drake in their first week of business and had many, many, many meals there over the years but things change and so, it seems, has the popularity of The Drake. I found myself wishing other areas of the restaurant had been designed or decorated more intentionally to honor its soulful past. It wants to be a high class spot, but something about the interior design feels underwhelming. I enjoyed the drinks I tried although the menu seems a bit unimaginative. The energy was strange, maybe it was that night, but bar staff seemed to be a bit "altered" and on edge. One was wearing what may or may not have been an intentional cologne that smelled like the overpowering essence of hot rubber mixed with cigar smoke, and leather. I ended up ordering the fresh steelhead and it was amazing. Caesar salad was lovely. And the drink of the night was called something like a White Christmas but was sort of a wintery margarita. Awesome night in the end. But I prefer the Redmond location.
