Such a rare gem with a cozy ambiance and amazing food! The menu is "seasonly inspired" and rotates weekly. From start to finish, Todd (love him) elevated our experience with his curation of each dish and wine on the Chef's Tasting menu. We added appetizers - maitake mushroom topped with dancing Katsuobushi + Dungeness crab butter poached in a cream sauce - which were both delicious. Each dish was beautifully plated and perfectly seasoned. The whole meal experience was amazing and blew our tastebuds away. Thank you to the chefs and Todd for this epic culinary adventure!

Husband and I came to Bend for our anniversary and this was by far one of the best restaurants I've ever been to. Great service, amazing food, and wonderful ambience. The entire staff was very kind and helpful as well, 10/10 recommend!

Kara is da-bomb. drove three hours from Happy Valley just to eat here--and let me tell you, it was worth every mile. I didn't stop for fast food because I saw this spot had bone marrow and lamb on the menu. Yes, I planned my whole day around this meal. From the moment I walked in (in a sweatshirt, flip-flops, and ashy feet, okay?!), the host welcomed me like family--even though they were only taking reservations. That alone deserves a star. Now the food... MELTED in my mouth. The timing of each dish was perfection. You get to actually savor the flavors, take a breath, and then enjoy the next plate without being rushed. Everything was fresh, rich, and flavorful. Keto-friendly too! Zero complaints. The service was kind, patient, and never once made me feel less than--even though I wasn't dressed like the other patrons. That kind of hospitality matters, especially in areas that aren't super diverse. If you're looking for a date night spot or just want to treat yourself to something special, this is it. Add this to your must-try list. The food, the vibe, the people... all five stars from Exit Bliss.

Just wow. I heard just great things about this restaurant I made reservations for the night I landed in Bend, and I'm so glad I did! Everything here is amazing. From the moment you walk in you can tell you're somewhere special. My welcome by server Todd was so warm as he directed me to my bar seat(be sure to make reservations!). Todd wasn't my server but went above and beyond to make sure I felt attended to... even offering to be my resident photographer as I took a few photos on site. I also enjoyed learning a bit about the restaurant's history by Susan, Ariana's mother and part owner of this family establishment! Loved hearing about how much staff are called and loved here! I can see why. Kindness meets talent and sophistication here. I chose to do the chef tasting and am so glad I did! Starting with fresh bread and amuse-bouche, prefecture flavors and prepared! The course with hamachi, peach, and sauces was outstanding. A flavor explosion in the most wonderful way! The scallop in the bisque was another unique pairing I greatly enjoyed... the scalp perfectly tender. Cara behind the bar did the most wonderful job of timing my courses. I told her my appetite is slow to warm and she was lovely in showing more time between courses. So attentive! The gnocchi with crema and black truffle... to die for! The truffle aftertaste is so perfect in its lingering! To top it all off, the chef personally delivered the dessert. So warm and tasty, the tartness of the peaches were the perfect compliment to sweet! I would highly recommend making this a stop along your dining journey... especially if you're a fellow foodie! It is well worth the treat!

Amazing service, fine dining food and fancy dinner night atmosphere! Recommended for a nice dinner evening!

Firstly, as soon as we walked in the service was excellent from that moment on. Everyone was so warm and welcoming. We were seated immediately and water was waiting for us at our table. We decided quickly to do the Chef's tasting menu. The food was delicious, the Chef's tasting menu changes every Wednesday and the regular menu can change daily. We were unaware when ordering but if you communicate with your server, they will make substitutions/alterations to the tasting menu, which is amazing!

It was a beautiful birthday dinner at Ariana Restaurant. The service was kind, warm, and welcoming. We were seated immediately and offered drink recommendations. I started with the house take on a margarita. There's a pre-fix but I opted for a la carte. To start, I had the radicchio salad. This was incredible. I would love to eat this again and again. It was like a Caesar salad but better (I know!!!). I like more things in my salad and you won't find store croutons in this salad. Not pictured is a mushroom soup that was also tasty. There was an option to add a scallop to the top of the soup, so fancy! Then the next course was scallops ($42) and black cod ($35). The scallop was cooked to perfection and the rice was fragrant with saffron and a hint of garlic. It was light and decadent. The black cod was my favorite. It was herbaceous and melted in my mouth. It's the best black cod I've ever had. This was an outstanding birthday meal. I didn't settle for one dessert. I needed two! The passionfruit was bright and fun to eat. The cocoa nib meringues were light and crunch like flavored clouds. The mini birthday cake made me feel like a kid again. It tasted like birthday cupcakes I had during school parties. I wrapped it all up with a glass of bubbly. I am an adult after all. Cheers to all the work that goes into this restaurant. I could taste the passion and care. Thank you for a wonderful meal and celebration.

This husband and wife team have created a dining experience comparable to a Michelin restaurant (unfortunately, Michelin doesn't cover Oregon...yet). A charming Craftsman bungalow has been transformed into a chic space with tasteful art and floral arrangements, surrounding ample dining tables and comfy seating. We had the tasting menu along with the "standard" wine pairing - which was anything but- and our personal waiter provided ample pours of 6 wines. Each jewel of a dish was a visual delight. The chefs combine their talents and backgrounds to create nuanced flavors that highlight fresh ingredients without needing to resort to pyrotechnics. We left after a 3 hour meal feeling like we had been treated to one of the most special meals we've enjoyed in a long time. I say this as someone who has dined at numerous Michelin restaurants.

This has become one of my favorite restaurants. The food was so fresh. The food and drinks were amazing and we'll presented. The tea with milk is done right with warmed milk. The restaurant building is a house converted into a restaurant and it's so cute, classy, cozy and well designed. The outdoor patio is also cute. The prices are reasonable. To top it off, our waiter Todd provided the best, memorable service. Our experience would not have been the same or as good without him. He fit right in with his gently manner and preciseness to his service. Todd was super patient and attentive without over doing anything or being over burdening. His description of the food was spot on and detailed.

    Squash blossoms

Excellent food. Appetizers (Dungeness crab and squash blossom) were super flavorful and entrees (Filet Mignon and Halibut) were cooked perfectly. It's clear that the kitchen knows what they are doing. Even though we preferred regular tables, we ended up sitting at the bar, which ishonestly not bad. It gave us a view into the kitchen and watch the friendly staff work behind the bar. Price was not crazy for the vibe/food quality when judged by LA standard. Would def come again next time in Bend.

For sure this is a great restaurant, lots of intent, but has not checked my boxes for several years. Nothing to do with food quality or presentation or waitstaff which is top notch, rather just the menu options and overall experience. YELP Short Answer: Yes maybe depends on your expectations. This is a good reservation to get if you're visiting. Location: Missing Cup of Magic if you are old school, but they have done a great job keeping this location original to Bend. Parking is terrible but so goes running a business on Galveston. Buildout: Nice, dark, more on the quiet romantic side which is what they appear to be going for. Upscale for sure. Not many tables so reservations are required. Menu: This is kind of the issue, I don't like their menu, haven't for a while and it has changed over the years but they are trying to brand what they have now as if it was a constant since 2004 when they opened. This place used to be fun. For sure my favorite has been the Beet Salad, but there popular scallops (3) I have never liked. To me not many healthy options or smaller portions, but carnivores rejoice they now bring on large portions. Food Prep: Excellent, some of the best, lots of butter. Food Quality: Well done if you enjoy what you've ordered. They take great care in everything they plate. Their portions have increased in size which does nothing for me but I get it, some people equate value with volume. Waitstaff: professional, excellent in all interactions. They have continued to improve this over the years and have lost the attitude they had for a few years when there was no competition. Ask questions everyone is now super nice. Overall Value: This is what's lacking for me. From trying to get a table, you need to make reservations as they are sold out most nights and online reservations can be out several weeks. Nothing on the menu makes me want to drop $50+ for an entree or go for $100 per plate for the Chefs Dinner which seems like a great deal if want to eat a lot. For sure without drinks or wine you will be over $100 before tip for two so if you are having a special occasion with wine you can be at $400 with big tip which they deserve. One of Bend's Best for sure, still a 3 for me, just not a favorite of mine but please visit.

Review will be unpopular perhaps, but as honest as it gets. Pretty underwhelmed. I think for me I had really been looking forward to dining at Ariana for a long time, as I equally enjoy cooking and eating. I saved Ariana for a special occasion. Upon entering the restaurant, it was rather fishy smelling and ambiance was loud. Totally something I could look past, but wasn't expecting. Even more, I had high expectations of the food - both taste and quality. I have to say I was majorly let down. I have read so many good reviews! Not sure if they were written by people who don't like to eat or if perhaps it was an off night? We ordered the Chefs Tasting Menu and some extras. The best things we had were the amuse bouche and the carpaccio (not part of tasting menu). Everything else, I could absolutely forego - the fish and hair on plate being the most obvious. Salt levels were off...all in all, just not good. At around $400 for 2, I expected more. Upon leaving, the waitress brought us some sort of salted caramel mousse dish to go and apologized for the fish. If she only knew how I felt about the whole meal. I just am disappointed. P.s. the desert to-go was delicious. Maybe it's a tasting menu issue? I think I've checked this place off my list and likely will not return due to the experience.

Whether you're an old wino...umm well aged oenophile...like my husband and me who have been drinking wine for 40+ years or a complete newbie to the world of wine trying your first glass, go here! Viaggio opened in 2022, a handful of years after we moved from Bend after nearly 20 years as residents, and alas about that timing for us because if we still lived there we would be here weekly, at least, to sip. SET UP: Walls of wine throughout the shop with bottle prices marked on front which I assume one can open to drink there as well as buy to go. But we spied Viaggio on our way to dinner reservations next door (The Hook and Plow) so popped in after dinner. Alcohol lightweights that we find ourselves to be at this age and having had cocktails with dinner, we came in to Viaggio to peruse the by glass menus and bottles and stayed to enjoy pours from the 2oz Coravin menu. Both that menu and the by glass larger pour menus are great ones (I posted photos of both sides of the two menus) which is no surprise given the credentials of the owner, Benjamin Richardson, as both Somm and fine dining management experience including as wine manager at the 3 Michelin starred Meadowood restaurant in the Napa Valley. PAY FOR THE WINE BUT THE PRICELESS EDUCATION IS FREE: We bought a couple of bottles of an Italian varietal I enjoy that is hard to find and when I asked the server if there was any in the shop, I didn't see it in the tall walls of wine as I made a casual pass along them, she said she'd ask the owner. In a few moments Benjamin was tableside with two bottles from different wineries and also to share information about them and the varietal. We paid for both and since we were traveling they were very nice to hang on to them for us for a few days until we passed through Bend again. READ ABOUT THE JOURNEY: Viaggio means journey in English and I so recommend reading the owner's story in his Yelp page summary to learn the significance of that as we were able to do in speaking with him in the shop. If you're wanting to enjoy a glass or bottle of wine in a great space this is the place. If you want help in filling out a wine collection, or to make selections for meal pairing or learn about wine this is the place. If I could wave a magic wand for a perfect wine shop, this would be it. SEATING: Indoors in front and back of shop at tables and chairs and a long communal table at back of shop too. Looks like outside seating as well during daytime and / or nice weather but it was a rainy night when we visited so no outdoor service. EATS: A small selection of wine appropriate nosh are offered on the menu. On the right night, a glass and a plate or two of these would be linner or dinner for us. ACCESSIBILITY: Winos on wheels, as I was in using wheelchair for this visit, are welcome thanks to equal access of level in the door, all on one floor and standard height tables and chairs. Also one side of the communal table is a long bench but the other side are chairs that could be moved for access for wine drinker in a wheelchair to have access to join friends at the same table. You would be amazed how many places miss this important point of providing that kind of full inclusion seating in communal spaces. Good for Viaggio for getting it right. PARKING: The Hixon Apartment lot can be crazy full at night time. Note if you're picking up a wine order there are 30 minute limit parallel parking spots right across from the front of Viaggio. Accessible (AKA ADA) parking is at side of building and at the back side of Hook and Plow.

Buildout, Excellent but be aware of sun during certain times of year, they have shades but it can be bright and warm even when it is freezing outside, not an issue. Seating is very comfortable. Menu: So many options, best to ask questions or order by the glass. I believe this is more geared to purchase a special bottle to enjoy, but many by the glass options as well. Wine pours: generous but measured most of the time, everyone seems to be there for fun but it is a business so order often and tip generously ; ) Food options: Limited but changing but nice caviar options as they become available. Ask questions if you're curious about caviar options. Value: Excellent value for spending some relaxing time, a glass of wine solo or with a group, very well done. We will be back and will support them, hope you do the same.

You can enter here through the main door along the street, or through the alley entrance which is also worth a visit with outdoor cafes and restaurants and closed to traffic. I visited on a weekday afternoon so it otherwise wasn't very lively but had a great discussion about Bend, beer, and the other fun businesses in the area with the couple; thanks to them for the fun conversation and other recommendations. Also, thanks for the sticker swap. Spider City Brewing's main brewery is outside of Downtown and is on my list to visit next time. All beer on tap here is from them with maybe eight different taps. They do smaller pours or full pours; no real flights so I chose all three different small pours of beer styles I love. One was not my favorite due to the hop combination, but the other two were both excellent. Prices were reasonable as well. I was also told they live comedy nights and music in the space, and many customers enjoy picking a bottle of wine and sharing with the table. If any of those things appeal to you, this would be a fun place to visit in an evening.
