So simple and satisfying. The minute you walk through the door, you're asked "spicy or not spicy". That's the only choice you have to make. Take a seat and wait for the piping hot soup to come out. Water and hot tea are self serve and they bring out radish kimchi, omelet, seaweed and rice (you can ask for more). The soup comes out boiling hot, so be careful! I love that the soup is flavorful but not greasy at all like some other gukbap spots. You can really taste that they cooked this for hours. The glass noodles are so satisfying. Note: they're closed on Sundays and it's cash only.
I found this spot on IG and had to try it out for myself and it is definitely worth the hype. I came here for an early dinner during the weekday and didn't have a wait at all. The original beef stew was so hearty and comforting, like a hug in a bowl :) I would love to come back and try the spicy version but the flavor was really good in the original. Overall, I'd say this is a solid no frills soup spot in flushing with good sides, I didn't get a refill but still left satisfied. They also accept credit card now vs. cash only! IG: _acquired.taste
Great spot for no frills piping fresh, steaming hot, beef bone soup with glass noodles. You get a few side dishes and a bowl of rice to accompany your soup. Simple and easy and reasonably priced at $20. Service was efficient because of the streamlined menu (all you need to do is say spicy or not spicy). The decor is basic with benches and an eclectic collection of tables and chairs.
Life is short. F....it up! Family, Flavor, Friends Was in the area running errands and Todd piece was suggested by a friend. This is av very traditional old school Korean place that specialize in one thing Beef cabbage soup. Either reg or spicy. Yup no menu just a sign on the wall. Of course tired makes things easy and meant that it should be good. The soup came out boiling so handle w care. They broth brings you back to childhood. Bone broth soup w meat and tendons. Clean tastings w a touch savory. You know that there pot just gets new bones added everyday and had been on boil for years locking in those flavors. You get fried eggs forget to post pic which was really good. Seaweed and pickled radish. If your in the area l and wanting too have to decide what to eat and just want soup this is ur place.
Wow, I didn't expect much because I thought it's just soup. I was wrong this was what I expect home cooking to taste like from a Korean household. The soup was amazing. I had the spicy and my wife had the regular. I really didn't expect to like it soo much. The bonchon went so well with the soup. I will definitely come back for more.
I been here a few times over the years and never realized I never wrote a review, so here we are. I took a friend who has never been and we really enjoyed our lunch, for me it was as good as I remembered it being. This restaurant has one dish, a beef bone soup and you can order it reg or spicy then they give you 4 sides to eat with the meal. The food: Spicy Beef Bone Soup- The soup is a slow cooked beef bone soup that is PERFECT for the winter time. The sleeper dish is the egg, it comes with scallions and are seasoned to perfection. I like to take the seaweed, add rice egg then ladle broth over, so good. I been coming here for over five years now and I am happy to report it is equally as good as I remember. Really good gukbap here. Had both the spicy and non spicy. Liked both but the spicy one had a much more rich flavor. Non spicy was good as well and that is usually my choice but just felt it didnt hit as much. But great service and especially like that they gave a side order complimentary to our baby. Even some rice with seaweed wrap. That alone deserves an extra star from us.
This Korean restaurant has quickly become a staple in my rotation, especially during the cooler months. They do one thing and they do it really well--beef bone soup, either spicy or non-spicy ($18.99). It's incredibly hearty and warming, the perfect comfort food when it's cold outside. I honestly wish more places had such a focused menu because when something is this good, it doesn't need anything else. They are so generous with their side dishes and add the perfect balance to the meal. You get fried egg, pickled radish, seaweed, peppers and bean paste, and the best part is they're happy to offer refills. It's such a nice touch that makes the experience feel even more special. The service is also excellent; the staff is friendly and attentive, always checking in to ensure everything is going okay with our meal. One thing to keep in mind is that this spot is cash only, so be prepared. But with such great food, service, and value, it's totally worth it!
Parksanbal keeps it simple and perfect -- just two dishes, beef bone soup and spicy beef bone soup, both loaded with tender beef, rich bone broth, collagen, fresh green onions, and glass noodles. The meal comes with rice and endless sides of seaweed, radish kimchi, and egg with green onions and jalapeños. Everything was hearty yet light, comforting, and absolutely delicious. The service from the Hispanic staff was top notch, and the warm, homey ambience made the whole experience even better.
Oh this is the bees knees. They only serve one thing and its delicious! When you sit down, they just ask you spicy or not spicy. Super simple. The staff here is exceptional. They don't mess around and they are quick. They are very generous with their side dishes. Quick and efficient. They'll never bag it for you if you want to doggy bag your leftovers. They were so kind! It's $20 a bowl at the end, but MAKE SURE TO TIP! A lot of people just paid $20 and walked away. Give these people tip for their exceptional service.
Came here for lunch. The restaurant was at full capacity. Had to wait maybe 10 minutes for a seat. Asked for a menu and was told this was their only dish (beef soup). You could order spicy or non-spicy. Spicy was not spicy at all for me and I cannot handle spice well which is what I appreciated. The spicy was good but my favorite was the non-spicy. It had such a simple and refreshing taste. It really tasted like "less is more". It's so nice to have on a cold day, very good for your soul. No wonder why this restaurant was packed. $40 for 2 bowls cash and $43 with credit card. I HIGHLY recommend to anyone in the neighborhood to try!
Came here for lunch. This placw only has 1 menu item. Beef & cabbage soup with rice (served non-spicy or spicy). It comes with seaweed, egg, rice, pickled radish, and jalepenos on the side. Comes out boiling so be careful! Verdict: Spicy and non-spicy are both so good. I can see why it's the only menu item and every table is packed. We were worrid about the spice level when ordering but thankfully, the spicy is not as spicy as korean jampong or soondubu. It's very palatable to the normal spice tolerance person. I dont really need any water. The non spicy has very rich flavors of beef and well seasoned broth. Overall we would come back here. Very refreshing for a cold winter day!
Ate here again in person and squirted everywhere 16.99 for a bowl, comes with seaweed, kimchi, fried egg, water, whatever. Went crazy here. No tip or anything, you just go ham here and eat and eat and eat. Great food, they have like a couple 2 person tables, a couple 4 person tables. Service was great, parking is okay depending on the time. Ambiance is really low key. Small and simple family owned shop so nothing too fancy. read more
I absolutely adore places that have a small menu that they do proficiently, and to have only one thing on the menu and do it extremely well is definitely a spot that has a special place in my heart. This place does one thing and one thing only, with the only variety being if you wanted the item spicy or not. The soup was hearty and delicious and filled meat and bone broth goodness. Love this place. It's a small restaurant but the service is quick so we never wait that long. They only have two items on the menu. Spicy and not spicy. Soup is rich, flavorful and perfect in every way. Its also the right amount of spicy. Service is always great. They come and check in with us frequently and it's just a friendly, welcoming environment! Tips: it's cash only! Also you have to get your own water/tea! read more

Spicy or non spicy? That's how you order. Delicious beef bone broth with glass noodles. Cash only. Same bon chons for everyone. Tastes like home cooking. It's great on a cold brisk day. There were a lot of take out orders while we were waiting for our table. It was Friday night and they close at 8pm and started turning away folks around 7:40 pm. Another great decent authentic Korean family owned restaurant is visited by me. What can I say. This is so much better than anything in Manhattan Korean town. You only get one option that is the soup and you know how confident on their soup. Needless to say, I can eat this all day on a cold winter day to get warm and miss home a bit. read more

Food is easy. Choice is spicy or not. I tried both. The spicy isnt too spicy it's perfect for me. The non spicy was equally tasty. All the free small dishes ensures that you are full and they even included complimentary soup for the young children. Overall for $20 which includes taxes and gratuity (i hope i got that right) this is a great spot to get some beef broth soup on a cold day. Wish i discovered this place sooner. Great hole in the wall restaurant. They can get quite busy if you don't come early. The wait is not too bad, but you'll have to put your number on their waitlist. Food was very flavorful and we went with the non spicy the first time, but will definitely try the spicy next time. The service was really quick and exception. First of all, they only do one item here in two variations, spicy or non-spicy. Fantastic food for the winter, gets super busy, super quickly so it's best to come at opening (10am). The space is small, probably sitting only 12-15 people, typical hole-in-the-wall restaurant. Pricing is very cheap for what you're getting, especially since Korean food is pricey by default, currently $14.99. You get a handful of /side dishes that you can get replenished at no extra cost (usually the norm for most Korean restaurants). Service was quick and friendly. On to the food..... Go with the spicy version, it's very mild and adds another level of flavour (yes you white folk ;)). The beef flavour permeates throughout the soup BUT I think a fattier section of the cow would be a better pick, the flavours of marrow from the bones didn't really stick out in the broth base. This would have really added depth to the flavour profile, more fatty oils and marrow please. More glass noodles too ^^. The beef wasn't melt-in-your-mouth slowcooked but wasn't stringy either. Seasoning was good and didn't leave you desperate for water, I really like that the fats and other floating particulates were skimmed from the top, leaving a clean soup to slurp away. I actually loved the side dishes, be sure to wrap some omelette and rice in the seaweed sheets. Take a bite of the chilli and follow it with your mini seaweed wrap you've just made,......delicious! They have self-serve water and tea station, so that was great too. Would definitely be back and highly recommend as a food venture to others. P.s. there's a place called HanSol next door that sells pre-packages Korean snacks and meals at very reasonable prices so check that out too. read more

First time going inside yesterday yet it was too late to dine in they were closing in 20 minutes which is 8 PM. So it's not you get service if you are there before 8 PM closing time you have to be there early enough and be out by 8 PM to get service. It's a a difficult parking location I used to drive my mom and she would have it to go but I never ate for many many years, Mom loves it. My young nieces wanted to go there for dinner yesterday lol AnyWho we end up with "to go" and I really enjoyed it, really good tasting, good tasting tender meats, soup, bones had good tender meats on and liked the side dish the eggs, I thought the soup supposed to have veggies like cabbage but it did not, overall it was very tasty I liked it i'm definitely going back. Korean soup $14.99 +3 side dishes I think that's a bit pricey, only comparing to other Korean place soup. Not 100 % sure about the soup price but others give a lot more side dishes. RE Korean restaurants we all probably know the price of entrée is not only for the entrée the price is included for entrée and side dishes. No the side dishes are not free lol If you like Korean soup and live nearby give them a try I don't think it'll be a disappoint :)) read more

Parksanbal Babs is a tiny but authentic Korean restaurant with only one dish on the menu, they focus on making one thing the best. You only need to choose regular or non spicy Gakbup (Beef soup with rice) and the staff would serve their complimentary sides at the same time, green hot peppers with miso sauce, dried seaweed, pickled radish and omelette which are unlimited. Their Gakbup was simply delicious without much additional flavor, the soup was thick and the brisket was braised super soft. Our favorite was their omelette which was well cooked and great matched with rice and dried seaweed. read more

My GF always loved galbitang so I knew I had to bring her here when I heard about this place. Not only is she in love with it, I've became obsessed with galbitang myself and have been craving it since we left NYC. This is the only restaurant I have ever been to that has only one item on their menu. And the only option you have is whether you want it spicy or not. We came here originally to try it, and we came back the following two days. Both the spicy and nonspicy ones are good, and we would recommend both! The spicy galbitang is very mild and gentle, so I would recommend giving it a try. We tried a lot of galbitang from legit Korean restaurants, but this is by far, hands down, the best one we've had. The flavor is strong and it's from boiling a long time; not from MSG or other flavoring. The meat is also very tender, flavorful (soaks all the flavor from the soup), and very soft. They also give you a lot of side dishes or banchan. There's radish, which is one of the best kimchi radish I've had. Unlike the other ones I typically have, they make theirs with a hint of sweetness. Again, not spicy at all. They also give you the omelet which is your typical ones, salt/ roasted seaweeds and the Korean green peppers with ssamjang to dip in. It was because of this experience that I loved the eating the Korean green peppers with ssamjang - a great snack! The Korean peppers can be spicy if you eat the seeds, but it's not the same spice level as eating a jalapeno. They're also nice to give you extra side dishes if you ask for more. They provide complimentary Korean teas - either the herbal tea or the green tea with roasted rice. Both my GF and I liked the green tea with roasted rice better. The service is nice and genuine. Don't expect a 5-star hotel type of service, but the family restaurant type. They check up on us from time to time and were nice to give us extra banchan. Lastly, they prefer cash. It's $16 total for one order and $32 for two. While they prefer cash, they do accept credit cards, but I think they charge a fee for paying with cards. Because our credit card statement showed the total to be $33 something while we paid $32 in cash one time. But overall, I'm glad we found this hole in the wall and a definitely come back again next time we go to NYC. read more

So, came here a couple of months ago... and this restaurant is the true testament of how you can master one dish and make it a staple in the community. This is no frills, no fancy, no exchanges, no exceptions place. They specialize in 1 dish and 1 dish only, beef bone soup. You can have your choice of the spicy version of the mild, which does not have spicy at all. Each meal comes with a plate of fried omelettes, kimchi, and Cheong Gochu cheong pepper (non spicy), and fret not, they do replenish these side dishes as you finish them, so you don't need to run out as you are enjoying your soup. As a side note, the omelette was so simple, but I do not think I have ever eaten a better omelette than at this place. It is the most simple fried egg, but I kept having seconds and seconds of it. Each soup also comes with a bowl of rice, which is a necessity to the soup. We ordered the mild and spicy and both were both really flavorful. The broth is clean and deep with flavors, with even the mild one being just as flavorful. The beef is cooked to perfection and literally so delicious and soft. You literally will want to refill your bowl. The bone has incredible contrasts in texture and includes gelatinous areas around the bone for you to gnaw on when you are done with your soup. The place is really a hole in the wall, but the service is fast and friendly. They do come and replenish any dishes you are running out of and will ask if you'd like more, so you are really getting your money's worth when you eat here. This place is the ultimate place to get comfort food and please please do come here when the weather is cooler, because nothing beats a hot bowl of beef soup when it is freezing outside. read more

This restaurant is a testament to how just mastering one thing is enough to make a business a community staple. Located far from downtown Flushing on a street with lots of great Korean eateries, this restaurant is non-descript and no frills but with the best beef bone broth soup around. This place only serves one thing, beef bone broth soup (mild or spicy) and nothing else. Each order comes with some kimchi and fresh fried omelettes as side dishes along with a bowl of rice. The broth is clean and deep with flavors. The beef is cooked to a tender perfection and although you won't get a lot of it, the pieces that are on the bone are delicious and have incredibly contrasts in texture since it includes the gelatinous areas near the bones. The place is a hole in the wall but the service is fast and friendly. The fact that this place is always full and there's a line of people constantly doing take out is a testament to how excellent this place is. Most definitely a place you need to try if you love Korean comfort food. read more
This place serve one dish! When you sit down, no menu. You are asked one question...spicy or not. My friends took me here unexpectedly and I had no clue what to expect but I was pleasantly surprised. We all asked for spicy and few minutes later the side dishes came out. The simple side dishes was so delicious. The scramble eggs was perfect...not fry or overcooked like most times when you have eggs outside. The pepper with the miso paste...crunchy and savory. When the boiling beef soup came to the table, I was ready to jump in. It was so satisfying! Nice beefiness and just a touch of noodles. Go on a nice cold day and enjoy it like a hug. This restaurant specializes in just one thing: gukbap with beef. You sit down and all they ask is whether you want it spicy or not. I tend to be really optimistic and hopeful about one-dish places, but the gukbap was just okay to me. The stew and rice were a comforting combination, but the flavors were somewhat bland in my opinion. Maybe I'm just not a gukbap fan? The spicy version wasn't really spicy at all. I did enjoy their banchan though: kkakdugi (cubed radish kimchi), rolled eggs with scallions, sheets of seasoned seaweed, and peppers. The kkakdugi was very good, and I also liked the eggs. The peppers came with soybean paste and weren't spicy at all, or at least not from the bits I ate. You can get your own hot/cold water and actually make tea with it, since tea bags are by the water dispenser. That's a nice touch. My meal did the trick for the cold winter night when I went, but I don't think I'd make the trek back. read more

So this place only serves one thing - beef bone soup (with vermicelli) but you get to choose spicy and no spicy... $12.99 before tax and tip... . . Each order comes with fried egg, seaweed, kimchi radish, hot peppers and of course, rice... . . To some this can taste bland... it's not one of those super concentrated with a 100 spices kind of stews/soups from Korean restaurants... It's simple goodness, to me at least... Like, if you're feeling a little under the weather and don't have much of an appetite, this would be the perfect meal... . . The non spicy was really plain, but had a slight saltiness to it... wasn't overly salted but that seems like the only seasoning... if anything, the egg tasted saltier than the broth... I dipped some of the meat into the bean paste that came with the hot peppers and also wrapped it with seaweed and some rice too... . . the spicy version didn't taste spicy really, looks like they just sprinkled it with some red pepper powder... this is from what I see, but what do I know? . . You get a good amount of meat. About 3-4 bones and loose meat, but for me, I prefer the meat that is sticking to dear life on the bones, I like gnawing on the bones... don't judge me! . . They are closed Sundays but open 9-8 the other days... But I don't know for sure if their covid had changed their hours of operation... read more

Simple, no frill place that only serves one dish. They make it well and that's all that is needed. It's a first come first serve type of place but they have a clip board for you to put the last 4 digits of your # down along with the # of parties for you table. Don't come with a lot of people, the tables are small and the turnover is high. It's a place to eat and go, not to catch up with friends. The broth is delicious, doesn't taste like msg. Each bowl comes with a big bone with meat on it that falls off easily. The side dishes are unlimited and you will be stuffed after two rounds. If you need tea or water, you can grab it yourself by the entrance. The tea bags that they have with hot water is a plus on a cold day. $18 before tip. You will hear a lot of "excuse me" from the workers during your time there when they bring out the hot bowl of goodness to the tables. read more

I'm a huge fan of specialty spots that focus on 1 or 2 items and do it well, this is one of those places. If you're looking for variety, you're in the wrong place as this spot requires little to no thinking and that's the beauty of it. There aren't any overwhelming or confusions on the menu and it makes for an easy and smooth process. No fancy frills here, just a bowl of comfort soup that warms the soul. I believe any good scratch made broth can heal any ailments you may have, whether you're hungover, hangry, or have a case of Mondaze...good broth will do the trick. This beef bone broth is simple and full of flavor, add a pinch of salt to your liking and you got yourself a bowl magical elixir. Although, slightly small on the portions, it's delicious. I was left craving a bit more broth but that could just be my gluttonous ways that developed being in merica'. Overall, this place is great if you're trying to satisfy that broth craving, it'll hit the spot. Although it could be a little bigger, i'd come back for sure. Stay fat mother suckers read more

I believe they do include banchan. Never got takeout, but have seen them packing orders. It's only 1 level of spice (it's not spicy at all, so I would recommend getting this), but others ask for less spice. Comes with both noodles in the soup & rice…
