I've only been for happy hour, but was ecstatic with the food and drink menu...and the prices! We ordered 2 of the 'fancy' cocktails, which are $5 during happy hour. For food, we tried the funghi and margherita pizzas. Both delicious, but the funghi was particularly good. Also had the calamari and the eggplant. Again, both good, but the eggplant definitely was recommendable. I also like that the waitstaff doesn't have the happy-hour attitude that I've found in a few places...they were super friendly and attentive! Also a really great place to watch awkward after work first dates. read more

Where has this happy hour been all my life?! Not only are the happy hour deals AMAZING ($3-$5 for awesome food and drinks), but the wait staff has always been superb and amazingly helpful. The chef is Celiac, so they have lots of gluten free options, and the wait staff is WELL versed in the gluten free lifestyle. By far my favorite happy hour downtown, and even better since they also do happy hour on the weekends so my workaholic boyfriend can actually enjoy it too. read more

Just...amazing. My husband and I had a date night here tonight and were really impressed. We got the appetizer special for the night which was a cheese cooked/grilled with some type of meat and served with bread - so delicious. I also had the soup which was great. My husband got the Lamb pasta, which was mouthwateringly good. I got the meatball/something (lol, not even sure what) and it was great. We ordered the butterscotch dessert and took it home with us - eating on it now, which is what made me want to write this review. :) Service was also fantastic...we felt "taken care of" by our waitress Lorie and everyone else. Seriously, we cannot recommend this place highly enough. Yes, it's a *little* pricey, but we felt it was worth every penny. :) :) read more

Two stars seemed a little harsh, three really isn't where I would rank it. If this were 30% less expensive then it's a better place to eat. For the prices the food was not as good as I would have liked. The past dish we got was VERY thick, very doughy and bland and my veal was overcooked and not as good as I would have expected. I think what really was disappointing was how rushed we were. We ordered drinks and an appetizer and our waiter was so anxious to get us pushed out the door he rushed our food, never ONCE asked if we wanted another drink - or what was unfortunate - if we wanted wine with our dinner, which we did. This is not the worst place to eat, but if it was a bit less expensive I could justify return visits but I'm just not excited enough about Panzano to return unless I happen to be hungry and happen to be right next to it then I would eat there again. read more

Happy hour here is a must. The brussel sprouts are so delicious. I could just eat those all night. Flatbread is a must get too. Especially the mushroom one. The calamari has a spice to it. For dinner I had the scallops. They were ok. My friend had this little pasta pot thing. It was pretty good. I wished I had gotten that instead. The best deal is to do happy hour here and grab a bunch of apps. read more

Having never splurged for dinner at Panzano, I've went for Happy Hour in the Lounge a few times now and will certainly go back again! Every day of the week (including weekends) they have food and drink specials from 2:30pm to 6pm including $4 draft beers, select wines by the glass for $5 and specialty cocktails for $5 or $6. And if you're hungry, they have signature dishes (small appetizers) such as Crespelle ai Funghi, Costole Breve and Capesante for just $5, $6 and $7. For the quality of restaurant, these are great prices and you'll love the quality of food and drinks in comparison to other Denver Happy Hours. See you there, if we both can snag a table or spot at the bar as space is limited and it's nearly always at capacity! read more

Yum! They have a solid happy hour selection from 230-6 every day. Knowledgable, confident service. I enjoyed a specialty cocktail with rum, grapefruit juice and some other nice ingredients that made it taste strong enough and not too sweet. The goat cheese + honey app was my favorite though the amount of goat cheese comes out looking rather small (but 3 of us split it so we were either being polite or its looks are deceiving). The olives were standard but presented nicely! The Brussels sprouts were groovy with what I believe was paper thin strips of green apple on top. I really want to come back for the calamari, charcuterie and a pasta plate. Prices seem fair, especially for downtown and being attached to a hotel! read more

Panzano reminds me of a restaurant that you would see in a movie. The lighting is perfect, the food is beautiful and the place is arranged so you're isolated from anyone else. The food is exactly what you'd expect from a restaurant of this price and hype. It's delicious new flavors without being tacky or off the shelf Italian. The setting and service is perfect for a date especially if you have the intent to impress. The spacious booths make you feel more like your in a well decorated hotel. Even if Panzano is completely packed you'll be able to hear each other and feel like there aren't any distractions. The biggest benefit of Panzano is in the details. You can tell that they pay very close attention to everything that is involved in your overall experience. There too many little things to list, like how the table's lighting matches the plates. A combination of all these things give you a personalized experience that won't disappoint. But for that great experience, don't expect your wallet to go unscathed. read more

Visited here while in Denver at a conference and we booked the upstairs private dining area, which was great. We had more of a selection of food that was ordered as part of the group we were with, so it would be hard to me to pick out exactly what we ate, except that I remember we had the crab cakes and the bruschetta, followed by steak - which was fantastic. I've never been a great fan of green beans, but I have to say that I ate everyone along with the mashed potatoes - so I give Panzano very high marks! read more

Great restaurant, everything tasted good, pizza was good. Service in the lounge area was little too casual, and almost rude. Didn't even get an order of bread. Our waitress didn't introduce herself, asked if we were there for food or drinks only... what a way to make a first impression. We would have waited an hour for a table in the main dining area if it meant more hospitable hospitality, including a friendly HelloCamera and some bread for the table! Olive Garden gets this much right lol read more

Food was good but it's like all appetizers instead of a real meal i left hungry and disappointed. Even when we asked the server how large the portions were. They also took over an hour and a half to serve us 2 plates and they didn't have any pizza. But then the owner comped our meal and they apologized the food was very good just don't expect a full meal if you go during happy hour. read more

I came here for a work dinner with a large group. We all had cocktails, apps, dinner, and dessert. Everyone seemed to really enjoy this place. I will say the brussel sprouts were incredible! They had pistachios, green apple, and a vinaigrette that was amazing. I don't usually enjoy that mix of ingredients but this was probably the best brussels I've ever had. I took away one star because I didn't like the crab pasta at all. But everything else was wonderful. read more

This place is a joke. Save your money. My first review ever. Had to. Table was dirty. Moron waiter didn't understand drink order. No bread. Garbage Ceasar soaked in yogurt for $14. Croutons from Nabisco...at best. The $36 trout came upside raw. Yep. U read it right. I've never seen it in my life. 10 min. later arrived. Must have been pretty raw. Tasted good. Garnished like a 4 ur old did it. My wife's $38 scallops we raw. Moron drops the bill. Charges for two salads. We had one. Her scallops. Said it was our choice to eat them or not. Waited 15 min for moron's boss to call it in giving us a credit. No sorry. No thank you. No we apologize. I still tipped 15 on a 100 bill. Guess I'm soft. But holy cow are these people morons. read more

This place is cute and romantic. My fiancé and I went out for a nice dinner and the waiters were so nice!

Had the Fettuccini Di Scampi and bread which were both delicious. Restaurant and bar have a great atmosphere. Waitstaff was attentive to our group of 8. Would definitely return if I were visiting downtown Denver. read more

We had Andres as a server, he was wonderful! We showed up about 15 minutes before the kitchen closed on a Sunday, but our service was exceptional! Andres even gave us a list of places to check out while we were in town. He also got us two glasses of champagne as it was our two year anniversary! We ordered the cheese board and it was delicious. I had a glass of Pinot and it was very good. My boyfriend had an old fashioned and said it was amazing! read more

food was very good. wine was very good. BUT, we had 8:15 reservations, my group showed up early & they said the table wasn't ready- fine. BUT THEN at 8:15 we go "ok is it ready yet", they say yes, & seat us at a long table that had been available from when we first got there.... so for a half hour they made us wait for a table that was already open. read more

Yummy but too expensive just about sums it up. There are obviously ways to mitigate the latter problem (great wealth, expensive accounts), and places with the former virtue can be in short supply, so keep it in mind and you will know when the right time to go is. I had the mixed-meat ragu and the antipasti and a bottle of wine. read more

Fast service I at at the kitchen bar and it was interesting to see the food prepared. Menu was good. Portions were small. The desserts were wonderful. By far the best part of the meal. read more

The hubs and I were staying at the hotel that Panzano is located in and decided to give it a shot for a pre-dinner app and some cocktails. We were not disappointed! Small plates were the best choice for us - ravioli, calamari and cocktails made for a nice cozy afternoon date. I will come back for either lunch or dinner one of these days. Good location and also decent HH menu. read more

We had a pleasant lunch at Panzano. My Caesar salad was tasty and my Ragu pasta was hearty and well prepared. However, the Carbonara was not classically prepared and the fried egg overwhelmed the flavors. Service was good, and the space attached to the Hotel Monaco, is designed for comfort. The lunch special, offering three courses, is a steal. read more

I am very skeptic to give out 5 stars cause that is like THE best ever. This place is great though. Staying at the hotel so I was a little cautious to see how good it might be. Sat at the bar waiting for my friends and doing work. The bread is so fresh and have a olive & fresh oil based dipping sauce that is just delicious. I got half the fried Brussel sprouts and was simply amazing. All around impressed with the service and food esp for a casual bar top experience read more

Had a team lunch here which s organized last minute. Bread was great and the Caesar salad with grilled chicken which was pretty good.

Good food, good service. Calamari appetizer (good, not great) Scallops (so worth the calories) Bolognese (also worth it) and tiramasu (good). Service from Brian top notch. read more

Never Again. I came here with a group of about 15 for a friends birthday party. Granted the place was incredibly busy, but they were very inattentive and one of the bartenders was outright rude to the point that I decided to leave. It took about 30 minutes to attempt to order a drink. I went from my table to the bar to order directly from a bartender, who told me rather admonishingly to go sit back down at the table and wait for the waiter - so a patron standing at the bar cannot order from the bar? Ok. So I sat back down, no one came, went back to the bar and this same bartender said she was going to call the police because I said I was "just trying to order a f***ing drink." Apparently she has never heard the F-word in her entire life. This bartender looked barely 21 and was quite obviously on some power trip and knows nothing about the business she is trying to be in. Horrible place and vibe, very snotty. I later found out that after dinner, they would not let our group serve the cake they had brought for the friend's birthday. read more

This lovely restaurant has lasted for so many years, and for good reason Good food and wine and great staff I wrote this review a week after my last visit. Still stewing over several events. First was we announced that we were celebrating a birthday. The waiter returns with a card for the birthday woman that invites her to come back and get a free dessert on her next visit. Unless that happens on her next birthday what is the point. We ordered a $62 bottle of Chianti. My favorite wine app gave me a retail price of $16. There is no room in that mark up for a complimentary desert?. Two of us ordered the same dish. The flavors were wonderful but I'm kind in saying it arrived tepid. We finally got pour waiters attention. The entrees disappeared and came back slightly warmer. Disappointing trip though I will come back. Just not in the near future. read more

I've been coming to Panzano for nearly 20 years now, since (obviously) before I moved to Denver. It's where I cut my teeth on using restaurants in the Hotel Monaco franchise as a benchmark of... Decent places to eat. Solid Italian food. 3 stars is for A-OK. nothing has really stood out for me. I come for brunch pretty frequently, and always have pleasant service from the bartenders, the ambience is clean, but... kind of dated - It was super modern and chic when I came while I was in my teens (or, maybe I was just in my teens and less experienced?) but I can't fault them for that... I've heard great things about their happy hour - I haven't checked it out yet myself, but that might give them the bump that I need to get them to 4 stars? I'll add it to my to do list. Summary: Solid good food, pleasant service. Just don't expect them to be pushing the limits of Italian. read more

What a wonderful experience. Our waiter Brian was beyond AuuhhhMMMaZZING! we asked a lot of questions and he guided us all the way through. Literally a wonderful dinner experience, plus we finished everything on our plates- we would have licked our plates, but we were in public- the food was that good! Thank you Brian for a one of a kind evening. We really appreciate you and all that you did for us. You are a gem! One of a kind! Thank you! read more

Great gluten free options!!!! Even gf focaccia at your table. Loved, loved, loved this place!

Some of the best Italian food I've eaten, and this is coming from someone with a real Italian grandmother. My wife and I shared the GRANO ARSO ORECHIETTE and the BOLOGNESE DI MANZO. Both were excellent. I've never had bolognese that flavorful, definately get it with the meatballs! The TIRAMISU for desert was also exceptional. read more

Oh my!!! Amazing food! Frito Misto was so delicious I could not eat it all. Next time I will know to order a half order. The olive tapenade they serve with the bread is also so yummy I thought I would eat it straight out of the bowl. So many good choices on the menu. We will be back for sure soon!!!!! read more

This place is fabulous! The food is very tasty. I should note I have only been here for Happy Hour. Food was very good. You will get different fabulous flavors here and so worth it! I have tried just about everything in the HH menu but my ultimate faves are the calamari and the mushroom crepe thing. OMG, delish!!! I have 2 of the crepes every time we go. Their drinks are fun, I love the pear martini... very fresh and light. The service is great! They ask if it is your first time here (never mine but I do bring newbies) and gift them a free dessert for their next visit. The staff is friendly, attentive, and timely... not sure what else you would want but it works for me! I love their decor. It helps that they are attached to the Monaco as they have a fun decor themselves. It is clean and classy. Their pricing can be a little on the high side but totally worth it. I would say try their happy hour first and you'll be hooked. read more

Happy Hour Review - Yeah, it's awesome, and you should come here for HH, from 2:30-6pm every day! Panzano has a very respectable cocktail list for $6 a pop...they're not at a Williams & Graham level, but they're creative and well made with some exotic ingredients, and can crank them out quickly. Also have $4 beer if you're more of a beer person (and be honest, if you live in Denver, you should be). Food specials are also rockin' if you're hungry...and who isn't ready for a snack at happy hour? Small plates range from $4 - $7, and most are a good value. Duck Mousse and Trout Pate were standouts and highly recommended; we didn't try pizza but they looked good if that's your thing. The charcuterie plate however was pretty underwhelming for $7; there are better plays in the city if meat & cheese is your thing. We didn't stay for dinner but we plan to go back, as we're big fans of northern Italian. Based on the size of the restaurant, the "buzz" of the crowd, and the 4.5 rating on Yelp, I'm confident dinner will exceed your expectations. read more

Hands down best Happy Hour for after work in downtown. The plates and prices for happy hour are fantastic! Service is top notch, and the drink prices are great. Some drink with the name "ricci" in it was a favorite with our group. Good selection of wines for happy hour too! read more

Came here for Valentine's dinner and we had such a great experience. The restaurant itself is a beauty and you're greeted by a huge countertop behind which they're prepping all kinds of delicious-looking things as soon as you walk in. We got there early so we grabbed ourselves two seats at the bar and a couple drinks while we waited. Our bartender was quick, professional and attentive in the best way possible. Also, the drinks were great! I got the R+R and felt like I definitely got my money's worth, aka it was strong AND it tasted good. As for dinner, our waiter did an awesome job. He was friendly and seemed like a natural. We definitely got the kind of professional service you'd expect from fancy restaurant. Let's see, we ordered the mussels and devoured them. That bread they serve alongside is so addictive! As for our entrées, that's where we felt a little disappointed. I got the highly-praised Pastiche figuring I couldn't go wrong and... I was wrong. It wasn't bad, I just felt like there wasn't anything special about it. And have you ever tried to cut into something that's floating around in sauce? It's nearly impossible! My husband got the boar and was kind of surprised that it was fried because the description mentioned nothing about that. Overall, both dishes were just okay. Despite our let down with dinner, everything else was so exceptionally good that I'm very willing to overlook that part. I would definitely recommend Panzano! read more

My girlfriend and I strolled In at about 7:00 and sat at the bar. The bartender didn't say one word to us for a solid 10 minutes. She proceeded to wash dishes and ignore us. When she finally did help us she was acting super fake and I could tell that she was quick to judge us. Later she proceeded to tell me that she was the boss... LOL. I think the "boss" needs to learn a thing or two about customer service. read more
